Marinette ran down the streets, trying to get away from the giant force. She couldn't tell what it was, but she knew it would hurt it if got to her. She kept running faster and faster, yet the street never ended! And she felt like she was just moving even slower! She needed help, and fast!

"Cat!" She screamed, "Cat Noir, help me!"

But she felt the force getting closer, and something deep in her gut told her she couldn't get out.

"Cat Noir!"

"Cat Noir!"

Marinette jerked herself up, staring ahead. But she didn't see the empty street, rather she saw a chalkboard with a 2D atomic model. And she didn't hear her breath panting and feet against the streets, but she did hear snickering all around her.

"Marinette, is there something you'd like to tell us?" The science teacher asked, pointing to Marinette with her chalk, "Or would you rather go back to your nap?"

"S-Sorry, ma'am…" Marinette mumbled, shuffling her hands nervously. The last akuma fight lasted well into last night, and she was way too exhausted to focus in class.

"Soooo," Alya giggled, not above a whisper, "Dreaming about someone in particular?"

"No!" Marinette whispered back angrily, glaring at Alya, "It was more of a nightmare, anyway."

"Sure it was," Alya hummed.

Later, after class, she was talking with Alya at the lockers when she was so rudely interrupted.

"Heard your little outburst today, Marinette," Nino laughed, walking up to her with Adrien close behind him.

"That was nothing, okay!" Marinette huffed quickly, not knowing how to address it so closely in front of her crush.

"Is he your dream guy?" Nino teased, poking Marinette's arm as Alya laughed, only encouraging him.

"Puh-lease!" Marinette laughed loudly, waving her hand, "He's not my dream guy! Th-that's not to say I have a dream guy, necessarily, well I mean I'm not totally denouncing the opportunity for a dream guy and all but y'know to say that he is my dream guy is ridiculous, I mean it's not like I have anyone to compare and all but if I did than I'd say-"

"Anyway!" Alya interrupted as Marinette's ramble started to speed up rapidly, "She told me it was a nightmare, anyway!"

"A nightmare?" Adrien asked, speaking up for the first time.

"Yeah, it was pretty awful…" Marinette nodded, sighing, remembering the terror in her dream.

"Was… Was Cat Noir the nightmare?" Adrien asked, his voice tinged slightly in worry.

"No, Cat's crazy but he's not nightmare material," Marinette shook her head nonchalantly.

"So why did you say his name, then?" Nino pointed out, smirking.

"B-Because… Because I needed someone to help, that's why! And he's one of Paris' superheros, after all!" Marinette answered, glancing around quickly, trying to avoid any direct correlation to Cat.

"Why not just Ladybug, then?" Alya asked, pulling up a picture of Ladybug on her phone.

"It's a dream, Alya, I don't exactly have full control over what happens." Marinette reminded bluntly. Dreams did what they wanted, after all.

"Well, I hope you don't have any more nightmares, Marinette." Adrien chuckled lightly, patting her back, "And hopefully the next time you see Cat Noir, it's for a good reason."

"Yeah, m-me too…" Marinette whispered, nodding happily.
