A/N- I'm sorry for not updating any fic in a while. My boards exams are coming, so I'd not update anytime soon. To cut it short, I won't update until 21 March. This is a very short one shot for those who are still interested in reading my stories ;)
Morning and Proposal
Ring Ring
"Itni subah subah kon aagaya? Sunday k din bhi logon ko chain nahi hai" A pretty woman in her early thirties groaned, making her way towards the door.
Ring Ring
"Arey aarahi hun, ruko toh jara" She shouted on the top of her lungs, not bothering about other person who was standing outside the door.
She opened the door, only to see a familiar face standing by the wall.
"Abhijeet?" she asked, not believing, it was not normal to see him at this time, let alone on Sunday.
"Andar nahi bulayoge?" he asked, with fake hurt tone, holding his hand on heart.
Tarika face palmed at his reaction, "Arey jarur, you're most welcome!" Abhijeet stepped inside and made his way towards dining table where they chat endlessly. Usually, when Abhijeet visited him, he would sit on chair and watch Tarika cook snacks for him. They enjoyed each other's company a lot, like, A LOT!
Abhijeet made himself comfortable on one of the chairs, Tarika sat beside him.
"Itni subah subah kese aana hua?" Tarika asked casually, glancing at nervous expressions of Abhijeet.
"Voh aise hi...kyun apko acha nahi laga?" Abhijeet said with hurt, this time hurt was true and evident on his face.
"kesi baat kar rahe ho? Of course mujhe acha laga" Tarika said with beautiful smile, "Apko dekh kar toh humesha hi acha lagega" she muttered quietly.
"Huh? Kuch kaha apne" Abhijeet could have sworn that he had heard something, but not sure what.
"Nahi toh, vehem hoga apka" This time, Tarika said nervously.
"Mein breakfast laya hoon" Abhijeet said with nervous and awkward laugh but it became confused when he noticed Tarika's horrified expression.
"Voh edible hai?!" Tarika asked with smirk evident on her face.
"Of course hai...mein bahut mehnat se banaya hai sirf apke liye" Abhijeet said quietly and forwarded a lunch box. The lunch box was not normal as we find in normal life, it was quite big, no, very big.
"Abhijeet itna sara? Hum dono kha payenge? She asked incredulously, glaring at him.
"Aap kami nikalna band kariye aur ek baar dekhiye toh jara" Abhijeet said with high voice. It was clear from his face that he was nervous and to cover his nervousness he acted like angry young...eh? man. Abhijeet closed his eyes.
Tarika uncovered the lids.
Abhijeet started praying.
Tarika cleared her eyes to confirm whether she saw what she thought?
Abhijeet started pacing in the room to keep his temperature and blood pressure down.
Tarika finally came to conclusion, what she saw was indeed...the thing she always wanted.
"J-J-Jawab nahi do-doge?" Abhijeet cleared his throat to grab Tarika's attention. She was staring inside the lunch.
"Y-yes!"
"Yes?"
"Yes!"
Lunch was momentarily forgotten, as our love birds were so busy in smashing each other's mouth.
The reason of kiss –lunch box- was lying on the dining table in which a message (over plain rice) was written with the help of veggies.
"Will you marry me, Tarika?"
A/N- So, it ends here. Ah? I said it is short and indeed it is. Sorry for that though. Will I see you after 21? I know, story was not that good and bit rushed at end. But I can't help, my exams are coming. I'll write its sequel if anyone is interested, tell me in reviews?
Bear with that if you can, otherwise, I'm sorry to disappoint you ;)
Read, review and enjoy!
