Is it a hangout or a date? Final Part
*Bueno Nacho*
Ron and Bonnie arrive at Bueno Nacho, surprising the manager Ned when he sees them enter the building. Normally Ned would see Ron come with Kim and or Monique, but to see Bonnie of all girls with him is an unexpecting twist. He proceeds to give Ron the (you are a lucky guy) expression after greeting them as Ron orders his usual meal with Bonnie getting a salad dish.
Once the two take their seats across from each other, the two somewhat have an awkward moment with not knowing what to say and with Ron constantly checking his surroundings. "RonRon, are you okay?" Bonnie decides to ask growing concern that he feels uncomfortable with her in public.
"Um yeah, sorry about that. I was making sure no one from school doesn't show up and ruins our time together." Ron quickly answers, not wanting to make her feel offended.
"I doubt that will be the case RonRon, and if they do, I don't care if they see us, and if need be, I will scare them off. Besides, thanks to that chip, the school already believes we are dating." Bonnie reminds him of her actions under the moodulator.
"True. I guess I'm in the mindset that I am out with the old version of you, who would be ashamed to be seen with me." Ron mentally wishes he would stop overthinking things, or he could drive Bonnie away for being too negative. She's out of your league. In her eyes, you are still a loser. Know your place in the food chain and leave. These are some of the thoughts flowing through Ron's thoughts towards the idea of him dating Bonnie.
Lucky for him, Bonnie is not going to quit on him so easily. Dang it Kim, why you weren't you a better at giving RonRon more confidence in his self? No matter K had her chance, and she blew it! Now it's my time to show Ronnie how he's worth having.
Bonnie reaches over and takes both of his hands into hers and rubs them gently. "Understandably, you would feel that way due to how I was in the past, but I want to prove to you that things are different now and that there's no aftereffect of that chip in me."
Ron feels himself starting to relax a bit, thanks to Bonnie's encouragement. "I do tend to overthink things, especially when something like me going on a date/hang out with you happens; I'm sorry BonBon."
Not wanting Ron to feel guilty about opening up, Bonnie comes over to his side of the table and hugs him. "Hey, I get it. You don't have to be afraid of opening up to me. Let's relax and enjoy each other, no worrying about others deal?" She says softly to him.
Ron's heart starts beating fast as he embraces the warmth of Bonnie's hug. When Kim hugs him, while nice, it always a friendly and somewhat quick moment. For some reason with Bonnie, it feels comforting and almost like a reassurance that things will be okay.
"Deal." Ron tries his best not to whine when Bonnie reluctantly ends the hug to finish their date/hangout.
"So, have you been feeling better since yesterday?" Ron asks to bring up a topic to discuss.
"Yes, with much needed extra sleep. I wasn't sure what to expect when I got up, whatever I would forget how I acted with the chip attached to me, or my feelings for you would regress." Bonne answers and quickly notice the nervous expression forming on Ron face.
Bonnie smirks and rubs the side of his face. "Thankfully, for us, neither outcomes are the case."
"That's a relief. I'm still in shock that you develop feelings for me way back when I thought you hated me." Ron admits.
"I never hated you, more so hated the fact that we didn't grow up close and was jealous of Kim having you to herself all the time. As far as crushing on you, I think it never strongly came to the surface because of the thought that you and Kim would end up together." Bonnie explains for truthfully she can't pinpoint when she would have developed romantic thoughts towards Ron other than having a crush on him as Tara end did.
Seriously who else automatically assumes that Kim and I would end up together. "Really? I don't think we would have dated for we are best friends since pre-k, and it could complicate things. Then there's the whole chasing Josh Mankey thing, so that also dismisses the idea that Kim sees me as her type. Leading to the discovering of her keeping my success at camp won't mention that name to herself thus proves she only saw me like a sidekick, not a partner." Ron growls at the last part causing Bonnie to cringe.
"I'm sorry that I reveal that news about Kim to you the way I did RonRon. I know the old me would have used that information to get back at Kim..." Bonnie begins to apologize, but Ron stops her before she can finish.
"BonBon, you don't have to apologize about that considering you wasn't yourself when you said it. Honestly, it was for the best that I found out now. I didn't mention this at the time, but before me and you talked last night, I confronted Kim about the argument at lunch as well as that particular issue. As far as the cafeteria blowup, we both acknowledge that we didn't handle that maturely, so we good on that. As far as keeping the success of the mission part goes, I spoke up for myself and expressed how much it hurt hearing that from someone else instead of Kim personally. Long story short, Kim was honest at that point, so I told her while our friendship can heal, I suggest having space, or it will get worst for us." Ron breaks down the events that went on the night before.
Bonnie stares at the blonde with amazement that he didn't merely brush Kim's actions off. Wow, my Ronnie put his foot down towards K. I better not brag about that, for I know his friendship with her still means a lot to him. "Before I respond, just a reminder that I'm not like Kim when it comes to stuff like this, so try not to react badly over what I'm about to say."
Ron nods his head in agreement and lets Bonnie speak her mind. "RonRon, while I'm not excited about your deep friendship with Kim reaching a rough spot, I am proud and happy you said how you feel. Like I said before, I never like how she makes you act like a lap dog at times, and you are just brushing it off when you deserve better treatment for being a very loyal guy. Maybe time apart will allow Kim to understand to see you as an equal and not just a sidekick on missions."
Ron mentally smiles, thinking that is something Bonnie might say, and it felt good getting support and praise for standing up for himself. He also appreciates the fact that Bonnie didn't attempt to break whatever's left of his friendship with Kim for good.
Bonnie continues her response, saying, "With that said, as your girlfriend, I want you to know how special you are not just to me but you as an individual. Starting with putting an end to the idea of the food chain when we go back to school and making sure everyone knows from me, you are not loser from me."
Did my ears deceiving me, or did Bonnie say she would make the food chain no longer a thing?! That's a massive move for Bonnie to do. "You mean that? You would risk your reputation for me?" Ron questions, with a hint of hope that the food chain at school can finally put to rest.
"My reputation will be intact because I still have the queen b in me. However, I also want to turn over a new leaf, so while I know that I have a lot of making up to do for you, hopefully, this can be a start. Plus, knowing how I treated you, I'm sure others that suffer because of that system, so hopefully, that will stop the bullying at least when it comes to popularity." Bonnie express her intentions. In a way, she feels relieved that the stress of keeping the food chain mess will no longer be a factor in her life.
Wow, how things change in a short amount of time. From Kim and I not on the greatest of terms to me and Bonnie, the girl who has name calls me for years likes and wants to date me and wants to change for the better. Also, she recognizes that other students like me had the same treatment, so she wants to make things right with them. "That means so much to me. Thank you, Bonnie, and you don't have to make up things with me." Ron thanks her in a sincere tone.
Bonnie sends him a stern yet loving look that says I will not take no for an answer. "I insist RonRon, especially since I have treated you no better than Kim. You ready for the movies?"
"Boo-ya." Ron cheers, causing Bonnie to giggle as she now finds his catchphrase adorable. Not able to resist anymore, Bonnie, as the pair walk out of the restaurant, grabs Ron face and gives a short but passionate kiss.
Thankfully Ron's recent experience of having Bonnie plant one on him allows him not to freeze as he would typically do. "Now, if you keep doing stuff like that, you will be able to make up with me in no time." Ron jokes after she pulls away slowly.
Bonnie gives him a wink and soft pat on his cheeks, making a mental note of Ron's suggestion. "I will keep that in mind, Ronnie."
At the movies, Ron and Bonnie pick a film they both would enjoy that has a mixture of romance, action, and comedy. The room the movie is playing in doesn't have a lot of people, so they make their way up to top roll where no one would be sitting beside them. Bonnie, for the first part of the movie, places her head on Ron's shoulder allows Ron to take in the nice perfume she is wearing. At one point, Ron slightly jumps from when Bonnie puts her hand on top of his thigh and rubs it. Luckily for Ron, as much as Bonnie wants to pleasure him, she doesn't go too far with the gesture though Ron would need a cold shower due to the thoughts in his heads.
When the movie comes to an end, Ron and Bonnie walk out, holding hands and get on Ron's scooter to take Bonnie home. The pair personally reflect on their time together today with Ron happy about the idea of Bonnie's feelings for him are legit and genuine and looks for to what his new relationship with her will lead to going forward. Meanwhile, Bonnie is excited yet nervous as far as her new goal to become a better person than she once was but has faith that Ron will help her every step in the way.
Unfortunately for the couple, they reach their destination in the form of Bonnie's house. Ron helps her off the bike, where she proceeds to wrap her arms around his neck, clinging on to him. Sending his arms around Bonnie's waist, Ron could sense that she doesn't want him to leave, and honestly, he feels the same way at the current moment. "So, this date was amazing."
Bonnie leans up, revealing a loving smile. "I agree, and I'm glad you finally decide to call that instead of hanging out."
Ron cheeks turn red in realization. "Sorry about that, I know we became a couple already, but once we realize you weren't yourself, I wasn't sure if we would still be together."
"That makes sense RonRon, for I had my concerns as well."
"Yeah, so now that we went out on a date with you back to normal, I have a question to ask."
Bonnie raises her eyebrow with curiosity entering her mind. "What is it?"
Here goes nothing. Ron takes a deep breath before asking his essential question. "Bonnie Rockwaller, would you like to be my girlfriend officially?"
OMG! Bonnie blinks a few times as small tears drop from her eyes. "Yes I do Ron Stoppable!"
"Boo-Ya!" Ron cheers with excitement before taking the opportunity to smash his lips on Bonnies. Squealing with delight at first from not expecting Ron to make a move, including squeezing her rear, Bonnie returns the kiss until they both have to pull away to catch their breaths. After resting their foreheads on each other, they sadly return home but, of course, got on the phone when Ron gets back home with Rufus happy that his owner's date went well.

AN: Yes, it has been a long time since I updated this, but this is just to let you guys know that the story is still alive. I honestly ran into a writer block with this story as far as writing out the dating scene for the pairing. Also, there's not feeling confident in the writing part I'm dealing with. Therefore, I'm thinking one more chapter of this, and I will end it where if I want to return to this story, I can do so. To anyone who is confused as far as was Ron and Bonnie was already official, I wrote the date out to make them became official without Bonnie under the moodulator as well as letting the effects wear off. Hence, Bonnie's head is clear, and her emotions are real.
Lastly, I am open to having a beta reader for my Kp fics, for I want to get previous and future chapters of my stories improve, so feel free to message if you are serious about doing so.
