Yo guys and girls

I'd like to start off with apologising for the wait! I have been super busy recently and havnt had much free time!

Anyways here we gooooooo

The trip to the Wave country was short and uneventful. The group encountered no attacks, no bandits and no missing nins as now that the Wave was under the Nami-Lord or the Wave-Lord. Asuma and Naruto seemed to know who it was and Shikamaru had a rough guess which annoyed Tenten many different levels. However this was surpassed by the thought of meeting the Kazekage. The leader of the Sand village was said to be highly skilled, no matter if he was thought of as the weakest leader out of the 5. Whilst they set up camp for the night before the short day trip the following day, Naruto along with the help of Asuma explained the elemental world to his teammates. His knowledge surprised them both, but then again he was more experienced than them both combined.

The main five nations of Konoha, Iwa, Suna, Kiri and Kumo were each ruled by a Kage whom was the most powerful ninja in the village. Throughout history there had been one Kage who was stronger than the previous ones and current ones.

With Konoha it was the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, said to be the most powerful ninja alive after the Sage of Sixth Paths. He was lord of the woods and nature.

With Iwa it was Mu, the second Tsuchikage. Creator and master of the Dust Release, said to be one of the most powerful Jutsus bases in the world.

With Suna it was Tetsip, the Third Kazekage and master of the Iron Release. Said to have been on par with the current Hokage in his prime and a true beast of a battlefield.

With Kiri it was Gengetsu Hozuki, the Second Mizukage and master of Water Release being nearly on par with the Second Hokage. Capable of summoning massive tidal waves and hundreds of water clones.

With Kumo it was A, the Third Raikage and the most powerful one to have ever lived. Capable of taking on a tailed beast, he was only killed when trying to take down 10,000 Shinobi in a massive battle. Something few in history could have done.

Beyond this there were several other accolades and rankings which shaped the world. There were 'The Three World Pillars'. These were 3 shinobi who had lived since the start of the elemental villages to the current day. Ōnoki the current Tsuchikage, Hanzo the Salamander and finally Hiruzen the current Hokage. All of these men were powerful beyond belief and thought to have seen every war since the founding of the villages.

After that there were the Sannin. The trio of legendary ninja whom fought Hanzo the Salamander during the Second Shinobi World War where an entire 40 Man regiment of Jōnin attacked Hanzo, with the Sannin being the only ones capable of holding him to some form of stalemate, where he then granted them their title. Jiraiya the Toad Sage, Tsunade the Slug Princess and Orochimaru the Snake. These trio are widely considered Kage level and are currently dispersed around the land. With only Jiraiya's location known to a sole few as the last loyal member.

Beyond that were the some single and well known Ninja, such as Sakumo Hatake, father of Kakashi. Naruto didn't spare much detail about the man other than he was known to be more powerful than even the third. Capable of fighting toe to toe with any shinobi alive during his life. Only the First and Second Hokages had beaten him. He was apparently one of the wisest men to live, down to earth and a family man but loyal to the village.

Then there was Minato Namikaze. Whom in Naruto's opinion one of the few leaders who did not deserve their role. Whilst he was unbelievably strong he not only failed to remove the Nine tailed fox from the world but then sealed it into a young boy. This was unacceptable as far as Naruto was concerned, and he looked as if he was going to say more until Asuma stopped him.

Naruto also went to mention several more Ninja whom he thought were above par. Firstly were Itachi and Shisui Uchiha. Both members of the late Uchiha clan, and both personal friends of Naruto. Or had been. Shisui, according to Naruto, had been an ANBU operative who had first taught him the Ninja ways, followed by Itachi. This however was not to be told to Sasuke under any circumstances.

Naruto also mentioned the golden brothers and a few others but that he said was about it. Quickly they settled down to eat, sitting in silence until Shikamaru's curiosity couldn't stay at bay.

"Naruto, how did you know Itachi?"

The blonde turned his head in curiosity, pausing during his eating to turn to face the boy. Tenten raised her eyes, meeting Shikamaru's briefly before glancing at Naruto.

"Itachi was my ANBU protector before Kakashi, along with Shisui. They both 'Watched over me and trained me before Kakashi." Naruto responded.

"But Kakashi once said you came to him skill-less and useless." Tenten responded before quickly covering her mouth.

"That's the story I was told to say. This is also as far as I can speak regarding this much." Naruto answered, sending a glance at Asuma.

"But surely-" Tenten tried again before Asuma cut her off.

"Enough Tenten, we have a tough day tomorrow you need rest. Myself and Naruto will take the first two watches, then you two." Asuma ordered, guiding the pair to their tents.

An hour passed in relative silence, with only the birds and insects making a noise. After checking on his rookie Genin pair he glanced round, within the last 20 minutes Naruto had made himself a home on an upper branch. Staring out into the night sky. Powering himself up with chakra Asuma leapt up, landing on a neighbouring branch. Naruto barely registered him, continuing to stare out to into the darkness of the night, light only by the moon and stars.

"Asuma Sensei..." He said finally. "Why did Kakashi run? Why did he break his motto?"

The older ninja glanced at him, it was a common fact that Kakashi never left a teammate behind since that event. He had vowed not to after Obito and his father died, but he had that night.

"Naruto, what you held on that night, information wise, was possibly the most vital thing the village needed. We both know that the pair of you suffer major memory loss that night and from what Kakashi is slowly gaining back his own, whilst yours is still foggy. From what we can gather you were both under some sort of Jutsu. Kakashi never left you on your own free will, instead he was forced to leave, only regaining his senses after he had left the Jutsu range..." Asuma tried.

"He promised Sensei, Kakashi promised..." Naruto tried, emotions flowing through his voice.

Asuma stared up at the night sky. This boy had seen more pain than any other deserved. More pain that several lifetimes combined. He had been born an orphan, left alone. Kicked out of the orphanage aged 2. On the streets to fend for himself for 3 years. Then Itachi and Shisui found him, looked after him until he was 9. The training he underwent as cruel but he had a purpose finally. Serving the village. Then they were both stolen from him, again alone. Abandoned for a year until his teammates and Kakashi recovered him. Then a year later they were cruelly taken. His Sensei left him, even not on his own accord but the boy couldn't register it due to the memory loss of everything after the massacre that night.

No person deserved that much pain.

The next day, the team was up bright and early. Ready to move within minutes they were off, however Naruto was strangely quiet. Well quieter than usual. Sometimes the blonde was loud and hyperactive and ended up driving Tenten insane, then he would suddenly be quiet as a mouse, barely making a noise or moving. Slight pain would be etched across his face. Shikamaru had a few theories with Tenten but currently leading was the 'Duel Personality' theory.

Pushing those thoughts aside the Genin pair followed their Sensei and teammate for several hours, keeping quiet until they were halted suddenly. The team landed softly on a branch, in a uniformed line. Holding still they thought it was a false alarm till they heard it.

"Take him down quickly! Protect the Kage!"

Quick as anything Naruto began to move, before halting himself. Glancing at Asuma, watching and waiting for the orders. Nodding at him the Jōnin frowned as the blonde went firing off, turning to the last teammates he studied them.

"Naruto is going to recon ahead and engage anyone he deems fit. We are to move around the left flank and observe and move at the correct time." Asuma ordered, watching them nod affirmative.

Within minutes they had reached the point where Asuma deemed acceptable to watch, unsuprising a Naruto clone was waiting for them.

"The boss is currently preparing for an attack. He thinks that the man before us is the Kazekage and his guard time. The man attacking is currently unidentified as he hasn't slowed down enough or used any well known attacks that could link him to someone in the bingo book."

On the field in front of the tree line where the trio were watching stood what appeared to the Kazekage, along with a squad of Suna Jōnin. Against them a horde of faceless shinobi, In front of them stood a shinobi with long black hair, grinning at the Kazekage.

"Tetsip but dear Kazekage...why must you resisssssst." The long haired man hissed.

Asuma froze, staring at him. Grabbing the clone he growled quickly, pushing the Genin back. He pulled the clone close to his face.

"Get Naruto back, he cannot attack! That is Orochimaru!"

Within Konoha there is a clear power ranking, with the Hokage being the most powerful ninja in the village. Then there is the Sannin, or what's left of them with Jiraiya being the second most powerful ninja in the village. Then there was the ANBU commander, followed by the 3 most powerful Jōnin. These were Kakashi, Guy and Asuma himself. However from what he heard Orochimaru was above even Jiraiya, being maybe on par with a Kage.

Naruto stood no chance.

"I can't he's already moving!" The clone protested desperately.

"Damnit, right Shikamaru, Tenten get out of here! Head to the village and ask for the best ninja that they have present!" Asuma commanded pushing them away towards the direction of the Wave Village.

Nodding the pair spun, sprinting away, both glancing over their shoulder looking out for Naruto.

Naruto came flying out of the trees, perfectly balanced, ready to take the leader out in one quick kick. His flight was fast, perfectly balanced in mid air. He could nail him easily, taking the leader out fast.

It was all going to plan, Naruto had planned to launch himself as a sort of 'Suicide bomb' hitting the leader before summoning a huge army and covering the retreat of the Kazekage.

It was all going to plan until the man ducked low under his kick and caught his rear leg. With a massive tug he pulled Naruto backwards before spinning him and slamming him into the ground. Naruto's head impacted into the floor in a devastating crunch that broke his cheek bone. The rest of him followed within a second, slamming into the floor. The man wasn't done there however, he quickly flicked Naruto up with a kick and spun before driving his knee into the blondes stomach sending him sailing back.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" Orochimaru asked, grinning manically. "A Konoha ninja? Exc-ssss-ellent."

He turned to his mass of followers, flicking a hand at the Kage and the wave of ninja attacked. He was currently however more interested in the Konoha Ninja he had just witnessed attack him. The Kage was going nowhere fast, especially since he had another hundred ninja slowly surrounding them. By this point Naruto had realised who he was attacking, the one man even Jiraiya and Kakashi couldn't beat. Orochimaru.

"Sssssso, a Konoha ninja attacks me head on? And you are?" He asked, leaning down.

"My name...Is..." Naruto replied with a groan as he picked himself up, pushing onto one knee. "Punchedpeoplesaywhat."

"What?" Orchimaru demanded before his sense tingled, spinning he caught a punch to the face that sent him stumbling backwards

That was the last punch Naruto got to have as Orochimaru proceeded to fling him around like a ragdoll afterwards. The snake Sannin grabbed his leg and spun him, throwing him headfirst into a tree causing a crunch as the tree fell on the poor blonde. This was followed by the Sannin then leaping forwards and driving a knee into Naruto as he pulled himself up. Blood sprayed from the teen as he went flying backwards.

However the snake wasn't done there, as he chased the flying boy through the air. Driving his foot into the boys back mid air, the young ninja was sent crashing into the floor. This was followed up by a devastating punch that shattered Naruto's ribs.

"Boy."

The snake continued his beat down, grabbing Naruto by the throat and lifting him upwards.

"Boy!"

Orochimaru began to squeeze, watching as Naruto weakly groaned, desperatly trying to find air and stay conscious.

"BOY!"

Naruto's eyes snapped open, red shimmering in his pupils as they gained a feral look. His chakra coils expanded as the air visibly began to shake from the power suddenly being emitted. For the first time this fight Orchimaru's smirk wavered. Naruto's hand shot up, grabbing the Sannin's arm and quickly apply pressure until a solid crack was heard. The snake leapt backwards with a scream, his arm hanging limply from the elbow.

"Enough of these games, Orochimaru." Naruto growled, a deep echoing voice erupting from him.

"Ku ku ku...So the nine tails brat comes to play with me!"

"You made a mistake today snake, one you shall pay dearly for!"

"I highly doubt a sealed beast like yourself can contest with me just yet. From what I've heard your seal is quite good, I doubt you could take me down." Orochimaru sneered, trying to keep a tough facade up. "The only time you actually did anything was when the boys weak friends were killed."

Apparently this was the worst thing he could have said.

The chakra leaking from Naruto seemed to take form, swirling around him until a cloak was complete. A feral roar erupted from Naruto's mouth as he rushed forwards. In an instance he was at Orchimaru's throat.

"Don't you dare speak about them!" He growled, his voice fluctuating between normal and the deep bass of the foxes.

With a roar, Orochimaru was planted into the ground with a crunch. Bones inside of him shattered and a scream erupted from him. The ground parted under impact and the snake was driven into the ground with such force a crater was formed.

"Python Bite Justu!"

Masses of snakes leapt out of the smoke cloud created, worming around Naruto and digging into his flesh. They slowly began to surround him and cover him until he vanished under pure snake mass. Inside the ball he was mid conflict, not only with the snakes but with himself.

"Get out of my body you damned fox!" Naruto roared internally, pushing back the foxes chakra bit by bit.

"You think you can beat him without me! Puny human, you will end up getting slaughtered!" The fox growled, attempting to force chakra at the boy, but slowly and surely the wall of Naruto began to push him back.

"I don't need you!"

"I wouldn't be so sure boy! This person is beyond you, use me to beat him! Let me control you!"

"That's enough!" With a final push the Nine Tailed demon was sent into the depths of his cage by pure will power.

Now with that small barrier overcome, he encountered another issue. Even though he had full control of his body, and his anger, he was now covered in snakes. A giant ball of fucking snakes. Mentally cursing himself he steeled himself, with each second he took the snakes tore apart more and more of his flesh.

"Wind Style: Wind Blast Jutsu!"

A massive sphere of air suddenly expanded out of Naruto, sending the snakes flying back. Now with some space to move Naruto could maybe stand a chance. How wrong he was proved when Orchimaru's foot connected with his face. Blood sprayed from his nose as he was sent reeling back. He moved to block the next punch but the snakes speed outmatched his own. Naruto only narrowly managed to avoid it through a quick Kawarimi with a stick several feet away. This simple movement caught Orochimaru off balance, giving Naruto and opening. Moving in he drew his Katana, flicking it out and slicing at the Sannin.

Orochimaru leapt back, avoiding the slash before kicking away a thrust at his stomach giving him time to draw his own blade. Spinning round in his hand quickly before swinging it and catching Naruto's blade in an explosion of sparks. Pushing against the boy he used his superior strength to push Naruto off balance and then kick the young ninja in the face yet again. Pain exploded in his face as he stumbled, however this was overridden by the pain that exploded in his stomach as Orchimaru's sword slammed into him.

"So boy, now it ends." The snake chuckled.

"Not...q...quite." Naruto groaned.

Within the matter of a second he vanished, leaving behind a confused Orochimaru. This confusion quickly merged with pain and agony as a sword struck his left arm causing him to grunt with pain and shock. He stared at the empty space where the boy had been, his sword now left with nothing on it. Spinning he swung it out left to meet where he thought Naruto was, but he was met with air. A sharp pain in his right leg, where another sword slash connected caused him to fling his body around. But again the boy was gone. Orchimaru had no idea how he was doing it, but the only person he had ever seen with such speed was The Fourth.

However this boy lacked the fourths prowess with speed and attacks. He was easy to match as he was too predictable yet with it. Swinging around he caught the next swing mid air. Ducking under the swing he slammed a fist into Naruto's gut, doubling him over.

"Enough of your shit boy!" He roared, pain arcing through him from his two deep wounds.

"Earth Style: Earth Bomb!"

A huge section of the earth shot out from behind the snake Sannin, crunching into Naruto, sending him flying back. The blonde crunched into a tree and snapped it in half. Crumpling to the floor he lay groaning, blood pouring out of him in multiple places. In the distance cries and shouts could be heard. Using this time Orochimaru managed swap himself out with a leaf, deciding that the boy was causing to many issues for him at this current time. It was at this point he felt retreat was wise, his mission for the Kage was a farce and he had to go back to the drawing board it seemed. This new village was sending help too quickly for his liking.

He still had one more power source for his upcoming plan in play...

Naruto awoke, lying down on a bed. Bright lights attacked his eyes for a moment before they adjusted. Blinking, he attempted to look around. What a surprise, he was back in a hospital again. As his eyes searched the room he noticed The Third Hokage, along with Kakashi, Asuma and a large man with a lion like hair. Jiraiya the Sannin stared at him in mild concern and amusement.

"Ah, you are awake Naruto." The Third said cheerfully. "You took quite a beating I must say."

"You gave a good beating as well from what I heard kid." Jiraiya chuckled, from his place leaning on a wall by the rooms window. "You scared off Orochimaru aged 13. I can barely do it aged 51."

"Yeah yeah...What the hell hit me though." Naruto groaned, trying to sit up. His bones protested and the scabs over his body cracked.

"Well you took on a Sannin and managed to force a retreat, however you still ended up with 6 holes in you, 13 broken bones and a shattered knee. All of those fixed naturally thanks to your tenant of course." Kakashi answered, glancing up from his book which he was reading in the far corner.

"I can't believe you attacked Orochimaru head on, and lived!" Asuma scolded from beside his bed. "You were lucky to have just that damage!"

"I'm used to this shit by now Sensei." Naruto groaned, it's not like the villages hadn't done worse.

"That is beside the point Naruto, you attacked Orochimaru head on!" Asuma cried.

"Am I alive though?"

"Is that the point! No!"

"But did I die!"

"Naruto!"

"Asuma Sensei, trust me. I've come back from mission with Kakashi much worse, like that mission to-"

"Enough!" The Third cried, hearing enough of this bickering. "Naruto whilst you managed to live, attacking Orochimaru head on was foolish. You should have waited for more back up." Ignoring the protests from the boy he continued. "However you did save the Kazekage, so you did well. Therefore myself and the Kazekage have decided to reward you."

Naruto paused mid protests. A reward? For getting his ass beaten, what the hell could they reward him as a mere Genin who nearly died to a foe far beyond his power.

"As of now you are a Chunin under the rule of the Hokage. Promoted to Chunin with all rights and honours." The Hokage declared.

Naruto's mouth hit the floor. A Chunin! He had been promoted, he had finally been promoted! Joy rushed through him, he was one step closer to reaching his goals. yet this was quick quelled when he realised something.

"But old man, what about my team? And the exams?"

"Do not worry Naruto, a suitable addition has been found for the exam who is more than skilled enough to take them onwards. Anyways a Chunin a team is a minor concern as you can choose either 2 other Chunin or 4 Genin to take with you on a mission. Anyways about the exams we will discuss that in a moment. Currently we need to go over the formalities. As a Chunin, you will be given access to the next level in the library, however as the Syndicate Boss of the Kit Syndicate I doubt you need it, also your pay will rise, another minor thing for you. Your jacket and kit has been sent to your apartment along with the other minor details. Anyways the exams... yes." The Hokage said, stroking his beard. "For the exams you are to be the Proctor for the third and final exam. "

If Naruto's jaw could have dropped any further the people below him would have been hit on the head. And that was saying something as, since he was the Syndicate Boss he could the best medical care around so he was the top floor of the only private hospital in the village, which was also incidentally run by the Kit Syndicate.

"What! But aren't Jōnins meant to run that?" Naruto protested.

"The Kazekage and The Hokage can't have their A Rank ninja firstly a mere Genin and secondly not in the public eye." Jiraiya explained. "They both decided that you were far to skilled to be a Genin and wanted to show you off to potential lords, you're in the Kazekage's good books kiddo."

"But I have no idea how to run an exam for Genin!"

"It's easy Naruto, just act tough and they will listen." A voice called from the doorway.

Ibiki walked in, surveying the room of his former student.

"Easy for you to say Teach." Naruto grumbled.

During the years prior to his Genin days, Naruto had 4 tutors. Consisting of Ibiki, Jiraiya and the Uchiha's, Shisui and Itachi. Ibiki had taught him killing and power techniques to build his attacking arsenal early on. He had also helped guide Naruto into the Syndicate leadership secretly.

"You'll be managing the third exam, so the matches. This basically means you organise and manage the matches along with the refereeing of the matches. You also need to help assist with the other exams and their running's. Simple." Kakashi explained.

"Do I really have to?" Naruto asked sadly.

"YES."

"Damnit..."

"Chakra Chains: Chain Explosion, this creates dozens of chains that attack on a mental command."

"Chakra Chains: Underground Chain Barrage, this sends dozens of chains underground before launching a massive barrage, surprising opponents."

"Wind Style: Wind Blast Jutsu!" Massive sphere of wind in forwards direction, only for pushing etc and blasting people away.

"Wind Style: Wind Break Jutsu!" Huge wall of wind that knocks anything in its way over, also is powerful enough to break bones if powered enough.

"Wind Style: Tornado Jutsu!" A massive razor sharp tornado of wind that the user sends at its target, barely anything can stop it once fed enough chakra

"Wind Style: Wind Blade, sends a blade of pure wind that slices through most objects and Jutsus.

"Wind Style: Great Twister!" Sends razor sharp wind blades in a flurry that tear apart opponents, it is the next stage of wind blade. Pre stage of wind assault

"Wind Style: Great Wind Assault, fires out a massive wave of wind that slices opponents with razor sharp slices of wind. Last stage of the wind blade section.

"Lightning Style: Great Bolt, this sends out a bolt of lightning."

"Lightning style: Lightning Barrage, this fires smaller but multiple lightning bolts."

"Lightning style: Lightning Fists, this channels lighting into the users fists, turning them into electric weapons. Drains a lot of chakra.
