Kamil sat on a bench in the middle of Oak Tree town's plaza. He had gotten into town the day before and couldn't help but feel a bit lonely. He couldn't help but miss everyone in Bluebell. He missed the days when he would wake up to the smell of Howard's cooking. The man had been like a father to him ever since his parents passed away. Howard would always make him breakfast in the morning and treated him like a son. Even if the man had been a bit weird, but Kamil had grown to love him.

Laney, Howard's daughter, had been friends with him ever since he was little. She had started to grow feelings for his other friend Ash. When they ended up becoming a couple, Kamil had ended up becoming a third wheel. Before he met her.

He remembered when he first saw her. He could picture her in his head, even now. Her long brown hair reached beyond her shoulders and her eyes were like amethysts. They would sparkle when she was excited about something. She smiled a ton, since she was a naturally happy person. She did requests for the people in town, so Kamil had to gain confidence to speak to her.

As they started to talk more and more, they had eventually fallen in love. It was the spring of her second year that they started to date. They went to many places during their relationship. Along the river, beside the flower bed, outside of town. Their dates had been short, but sweet. He closed his hand, and felt his heart sink. He missed the feeling of her hand on his. He closed his eyes and swore that he could hear her laughter. He remembered the way she said his name. Her voice was music to his ears.

He could also remember the way her purple eyes had filled with tears when he told her that he was going to be leaving Bluebell. She had pleaded with him to stay, but his heart told him to go. He wanted to travel the world. He wanted to take her with him, but she had grown attached to the town on the left side of the mountain. Kamil refused to force Lillian to go. He knew that the violinist in town had a crush on her. He had hoped that Lillian would go out with Mikhail so that she could get over him. He still hadn't gotten over her though.

Footprints caused him to look up and out of his thoughts. He could tell who it was by the way they sounded. He looked up as he saw the farmer that lived farthest from the town walk past him. Minori had moved to town about a year before him. It was what Melanie had told him. He could see a smile on her face. Her light yellow eyes sparkled, reminding him of fresh sunflowers. Her hair was down to her shoulders and ended in a small ponytail. She was wearing a hat with a flower on the side of it.

"Oh hi Kamil," Minori waved at him, "Would you like this rose? I grew a bunch for a bouquet, but I had an extra flower."

"Alright," he smiled, "I really like these. Thank you."

She flashed a grin that made him feel a bit better. He took the flower from her with a bit of gratitude. He admitted that she was a sweet person. Her personality was really similar to his ex, but there were things that she did differently. Maybe Minori could help bandage his broken heart, one step at a time.
