-England, 1865-
A young girl by the name of Alice wandered through her father's property. Sure, she had explored every flower, leaf and pebble on his large lot of land, but every day she still went on exploring, always finding something new. Even if that something new was a lady bug, or perhaps a new sapling sprouting. Easter was in a week, and the day of egg hunting was Alice's favorite. Why wouldn't it be? Exploring and looking in nature, finding new colorful things. But a part she never really understood was the Easter bunny. Her mother told her that in the early hours of the morning, the bunny would hop out from his den, and set out many beautiful eggs and chocolates. Then after his job was complete, he'd burrow back down until next year.
"But Mother, doesn't he ever go out? Does he not ever have the desire to hop around in the summer sun?" Alice would question.
Her Mother would plainly answer, "Oh I don't know...he does what he pleases."
"But Mother, does he have a family? What does he and his family eat? Do they eat the chocolates? Where do they get the chocolates? And eggs, rabbits don't lay eggs, do they?"
"Alice please, it's just a story." Her Mother would sigh.
But Alice, at the young age of 11, was determined to find the truth about this rabbit.
She sat down on a boulder besides the river. Grabbing a stick, she began to draw the outline of a rabbit.
"He couldn't be too large, he needs to be sneaky and unseen...but not too small either. He has to be able to carry his goodies." She murmured, adding a pinkish pebble as his nose.
She began to sing a song to herself as she drew, " -
Rabbit rabbit, Easter one,
Do you come with goods for me
Hide your eggs in the trees
But I will find you and your gifts
Rabbit rabbit, Easter one,
I'll find you right."
She hoped up and ran back to her house. Maybe the Easter rabbit would find her picture?

Aster E Bunnymund was no small fluffy bunny. Yes, he went by the name Bunny. But he was over 6 foot, mastered several fighting styles, and carried weaponized boomerangs. His gray fur was covered in tribal tattoos from long ago, and he was pure muscle.
The spirit suddenly appeared, arising from a hole in the ground. It was the wee hours of the morning, and he needed to look over a special part of land. The land he was looking over belonged to a small girl. He didn't know her name, but every year this small girl would always find all of his eggs in less than two minutes! It frustrated him beyond comprehension. He never his his goodies too well, but never just hid them out in plain sight. He put out a challenge for the kids across the globe, but this girl never seemed to be challenged.
He knew she knew his toughest hiding spot, the trees, but the girl was also like a spider monkey. He once watched through the bushes as this lass scrambled up the large tree. She knew the most basic of spots, like in shrubs and between flowers.
This year, Bunny had made a special batch of googies just for her. The normal color of his eggs were bright pinks, blues and yellows. The occasional pastel was also mixed in. He normally never painted them brown, or gray, or green. But this girl needed a challenge. And camouflage was going to be her challenge this year.
As he crossed the river that divided the land, something odd caught his eye. In the dried mud there was a small picture of a bunny, with white petals as fur, pebbles as eyes, and pink tulip toes. Around it were stones all different colors.
Bunny chuckled. So..the girl was already thinking about Easter.
