The road flashed under the tires at record speed the bottle in his hand pressed to his lips again. The hunter fought to keep it in his lane, Not Sammy, never Sammy. The truth refused to set in. Dean's green eyes swam with tears as he glanced to the empty passenger seat. He quickly brought his eyes back forward. The needle of the speedometer inched past 100. The trees outside of the car was like a wall of death beckoning him

It only takes an inch. The tires inched towards the side of the road but Dean couldn't seem to take it off the road he slammed on the breaks puffing off the road. His chest heaved his hands still gripped the steering wheel. He emptied the rest of the bottle into his mouth his head swam with images.

"Come on, Sammy!" Dean groaned holding up the bike he just spent the last 45 minutes putting a new chain on. "You have to learn to ride,"

Sam sat on the grass with his knees pulled to his chest, 6 years old, "I'm going to fall again, Dean"

"I promise I won't let go till you say"

Sam looked at him a moment before standing, "Ok." He said and mounted the bike.

Dean firmly gripped the seat to help him balance jogging along before letting go, "Go Sammy!" He yelled smiling proudly as Sam rode down the side walk.

Dean yelled out punching the roof of the impala before grabbing the shot gun from the back seat before heading off into the trees. Stumbling he grabbed a pine for balance. "Son of a bitch," he muttered as the world rocked around him and he fought to stay up right. He made it a few more yards into the trees before falling to his knees.

Sam's blood still covered his hands as he stared at them gripping the shot gun, "I'm sorry, Sammy," he whispered. His slammed the butt of the gun into the dirt pointing the muzzle to the underside of his chin. "I'm coming, Sam," he whispered and closed his eyes.

His thumbed pressed the trigger in a flash of heat. All time seemed to stand still as the shot echoed off the trees.

"Dean,"

Dean's eyes opened and Sam stood there before him, but not in the dark trees. The sun was shining on the tall wheat like grass. It took him to realize what was happening Sam was small, a child, "Sammy?" Dean was shocked at his own voice.

"Come on, Dean, Mom is waiting!" he said excited and took off running through the grass, "Dean!" His voice seemed farther away than he was.

Dean quickly got to his feet and chased his little brother, "Wait up Sammy!" he laughed hearing it mix in the air he thought he could see it in the air mixing with Sam's laughter.

That's when he saw it, or rather her. Her hair flowed in the breeze like sin kissed silk, "Come on, Sweetheart," She called her hand extended towards him.

"Mom?" he said running faster and faster till he joined his brother in her embrace, "oh mom" he cried softly and she clung him to her chest, "It's ok, baby," she said and held him at arm's length a moment, "Let's go home," she said and smiled at him.
