I can't help but flap about the potential relationship between Hermione and Minerva, especially when they gossip about Severus.


She almost choked, sure that her eyes were bulging. "Say that again," she wheezed, putting her tea cup away.

"I think that Severus and you should go on a date," said Minerva again, not even flinching at the idea, which is what astounded Hermione more than the statement itself.

"Oh, Minerva, I don't think that would be a good idea at all," she said, although it would be a lie to say she had not admired the man, especially over the last few weeks. "I mean, he was my teacher."

"Was your teacher," scoffed Minerva, waving the notion away. "And now he is your colleague. Who, by the way and you must never admit I told you this, is very single and very well equipped."

"Minerva," she blushed, though couldn't help and giggle. "I don't even want to know how you know this. Besides, he's smug, arrogant, sarcastic, and a complete – "

"Rogue?" added Minerva, gazing over her tea cup at Hermione's pink face.

"Yes," admitted Hermione. "He is a complete rogue."
