I do not own Pokémon (again)
Misty's POV
When I first met him I thought he was kinda dense. Okay very dense. At first I found him kind of annoying and cocky but after a while I saw another side of his. One that I haven't seen in a kid before. He was kind. Not only to me but to his Pokémon as well. I saw how well he got along with Pikachu and as much as he freaked me out, Caterpea as well. Then I realized he was very determined to fulfill his dream. And one by one he began to claim gym after gym before my eyes. Then the league came. The Pokémon league; the one he has been dreaming of his whole life. When I saw he was about to battle Richie I was in shock. I didn't know how Ash would cope with battling his new friend. And sure enough somebody lost. Only problem is, it was the wrong guy. I saw him shake hands with his ex-friend and left the stadium in shame. I tried to say something to comfort him but my words got caught in my mouth.
The walk back to his house was a quite one. I could see he's very depressed and I felt kinda sorry for him. He spent the rest of his day in his room lying in bed staring at the wall. All he had for company aside for his own walls and furniture were his Pokémon. Pikachu tried to cheer him up but to no avail. I decided to act upon it myself. I walked up the stairs and knocked in his bedroom door.
No answer.
I knocked again.
Still no answer. I grabbed the door knob and gently pulled on it revealing Ash's room. It's the first time I've seen his room. In fact, it was my first time in a boy's room at all. I looked around. Above his bed was a poster of the Pokémon Kanto league. On the wall beside it was a poster of a Pikachu. And on the other walls were posters of other Pokémon as well. On his desk lay his pack and Pokedex. I approached him and saw Pikachu lying beside him. A placed a soft hand on his shoulder.
"Ash?" I said softly.
It took him a while to respond.
"What do you want Misty?"
Slightly offended by his rudeness I pressed on.
"Just coming in to check on you. Are you alright?" I asked and sat down beside him.
"I'm fine", he said coldly.
"You don't sound fine"
"Well am I fine. Can you leave me alone now?"
I sighed and thought for a moment deciding how to approach the situation from a different angle.
"You know Ash someone once told me that he wants to be the very best, like no one ever was. He said that if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish everything"
"Who told you that?"
"A fella by the name of Ash Ketchum" I said with a smirk, glad I was able to get his attention. He turned around and looked at me with a slightly surprised look. Then he smiled.
"Thanks Misty"
"You're welcome. I'll be downstairs if you want to talk" I said and got up.
"Right" he said and I closed the door behind me. I walked down the stairs and sat back down on the porch of his front yard.
Like I said, Ash could be a little difficult sometimes. But on the other hand he can be very sweet. Sometimes I think I'm the only one who's seen that side of his. Except for maybe his mom. It didn't take long for me to start developing feelings for him. After following for a while, I felt like my bike didn't matter anymore and I followed because I wanted to. Because I liked it. Because I liked him… it's just a shame he's too dense to understand it or catch up on my hints and as much as I hate to admit it, I'm starting to give up on him …
"Misty?" I heard a voice behind me and I turned around to see Ash. I was surprised to see he was holding a flower and was offering it to me.
Or have I?
The end
Well there's a cute fluffy one. Hope you liked it.
There might be a sequel but I'm not willing to commit on that. Anyway reviews are most welcome.
Peace out
