Dragon Ball Timelines

Two weeks later…

Gio parried Goku's punch with his forearm as he tilted his body to slam his fist into his brother's gut before bringing up both hands and slamming down on Goku's head with an axe hand strike. Goku flew downwards and crashed into the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust. However, it didn't take long before Goku was back up and charging at Gio. Goku caught him by surprise and made his foot collide with the side of Gio's face, but Gio quickly recovered and grabbed Goku's leg to whirl him around and toss him away. Goku, still a step ahead, would fire a yellow energy wave at Gio's position while he flew, creating a large explosion.

They would fly above the forests as they clashed in midair, white and blue auras mixing as shockwaves would generate from their power. Gio flew at Goku, who prepared himself for the upcoming assault. However, he didn't count on one thing..

"KAIO-KEN!" Roared the scarred saiyan as his speed doubled, throwing Goku off and leaving him susceptible to receiving a quick uppercut before Gio spun around and gained momentum to implant his foot straight onto his brother's chest and sending him away. As Gio raced to catch up, Goku would stop himself in midair and roar, the red aura flashing around his own body as he yelled out.

"TIMES THREE!" He said as he'd practically teleport in front of Gio, his knee finding Gio's face as Gio hovered back and tried to recover only for Goku to land two punches to the face and finish off with a roundhouse kick to the temple.

Kaioken disappeared from both of their bodies once Gio recovered, holding his jaw in pain. "Cheap shot, you know I can't use times three yet."

"That's true, but" Goku mused in the air, wiping some blood from his mouth. "It looks like you've already got the basic Kaioken down. If you keep pushing like that, you can use times three in no time."

"And you'll have made it to times four by the time I do." Gio quipped back with a smirk.

"Only one way to find out!" Goku roared as he charged, the red aura encapsulating his frame once again.

Meanwhile…

A yellow explosion would be seen from the icy mountains as Tien panted, seeing that his blast he shot out had only left a small indent in the side of it. "Looks like it'll take a lot more than that to melt this ice.." He inquired to himself, his hand dropping down at its' side. He'd cup his hand in a fist at his side, crackling with yellow energy as he prepared to try again, but a voice stopped him.

"Excuse me, Mr. Tien?" He'd hear calling from the side of the mountain behind him, revealing Gohan walking out from behind it.

"Oh, hey kid. What are you doing way out here?" The bald man asked, his hand dispelling the ki he was charging and turning his full attention to the boy.

"I wanted to see if I could train with you for a little while, if that isn't a problem sir." The boy shyly admitted. Tien had a confused look on his face, so Gohan continued. "Well, Dad and uncle Gio are training together and Krillin's training with Master Roshi. I noticed Chiaotzu wasn't with you so I wanted to see if you'd train with me."

"Sure, that's not a problem." Tien confirmed with a smile, walking over to the kid. "How long have you been looking for me?"

"Um…" Gohan had to think, counting in his head. "Maybe six hours."

"Oh jeez, you must be freezing. Here." Tien walked over and grabbed a blue cloak which he had thrown off to train his body more effectively in the extreme temperatures. "You should put this on." He advised.

Gohan did, placing it on his small body as he warmed up a bit, looking at the dent in the mountain.

"The ice here is some of the thickest in the world." Tien explained to him. "So I'm trying to train my strength to be able to get through it with a single blast."

"Ooh!" The boy's eyes lit up. "Let me try!" He insisted as he threw off the cloak, forgetting the cold. He ran up to the edge of the outcropping and faced the side of the mountain, putting his hands above his head. "MA-SEN-KO…. HA!" He yelled as he'd release a yellow energy wave at the mountain which would explode on contact, casting a bright yellow light. When all said and done, however, there was another dent about the same size as the first. It was clear Gohan didn't make much progress. "Aw man.." He sulked.

"Hey, that's okay. You're really something, you're as strong as me with only a year of training under your belt and I've had decades." Tien smiled down at the kid. "Here, want to go somewhere for a spar?"

"Sure!" The boy agreed, the two flying off.

Not but a few seconds after clearing the mountain range and finding a range of flat land to train at, Tien and Gohan froze in midair and looked down at a giant, sprawling black building in the ice. The two landed, walking up to get a better look. Gohan was about to ask Tien what was it, but Tien stopped him.

"I feel a lot of bad energy coming from that place…"

Gohan nodded in agreement, walking forward to check it out. As he did, a blue creature would suddenly pop out from the ice and headbutt Gohan in the nose, sending him flying back. It resembled a saibaman, but with a strange bug like mouth and beady eyes,

"What the hell?!" Tien shouted as three more biomen sprouted out around Gohan, beating him into the ground. Tien would kick one aside and clotheslined the rest to get away from Gohan. Gohan, whose guard had been down, would watch with half lidded eyes as he sank into unconsciousness.

Tien would shoot a dodon ray and pierce the head of a bioman, whirling around to slam his fist into the others' gut and barrage him with punches. Another of the three biomen would slam its' bug like foot into Tien's temple and send him stumbling back, creating opprotunity for the other three to charge in and begin assaulting Tien with blows as he stumbled back. As his beating increased, Tien would gather his bearings and jump in the air, making the biomen stumble forward and creating an opening as he'd cup his hands in a triangle shape.

"TRI-BEAM!" He roared, firing the invisible blast down and creating a large, square shaped crater in the floor. All three biomen were dead for the count.

Tien landed on the ground, preparing to walk over to Gohan before he stopped, sensing three large energies. Before he could assess the situation he would feel himself engulfed by a painful light, grunting in pain as the snow around him would shift and be blown away. Gohan would have ended up under a bunch of rocks and snow, but was unharmed for the time being. Meanwhile, Tien would try to resist but and suddenly feel himself pulled under the snow as he lost consciousness.

Gohan awoke hours later with a start, looking around the area but finding he was still under the rocks. He remembered Tien saved him from those things, but why did the bald man just leave him in the snow?

Gohan tried looking for him, but he couldn't sense his energy in the area. Gohan reasoned that Tien must have left, and Gohan knew his mom wouldn't be happy if she found out about him training. He decided to just push the rocks off and fly into the air, headed for home. He'd try to not mention where he was as best as he could, which would be a challenge to him as he was raised to never lie to his mother.

Later, at Mt. Paozu

"Gohan was gone all day, and when he got back he wouldn't tell me where he was or what he was doing." Remarked Chi-Chi as she stood in front of a steaming stove, a pink apron on her waist.

Goku, on the floor next to her, would grunt in concentration as he did push-ups on his finger. A moment passed by before the woman got annoyed and turned to her husband.

"Goku, are you even listening to me? The boy needs discipline, and he'll never accomplish anything without it!" She pushed as Goku quit his push ups and sat cross-legged on the ground, facing his wife with his hands behind his head.

"As long as he's happy and healthy, then I'm sure he'll turn out just fine!" Goku whined, not seeing the big deal about the whole ordeal.

"Goku, this is important to me." His wife insisted. "Gohan needs an education. How is he going to make it out there in the real world? You wouldn't know about that."

"Stop worrying, Gohan's a great kid. You just gotta let him be who he is, Chi-Chi."

Gohan leaned back in his chair, letting out a sigh as he heard the birds chirping from his open window, the evening light resting on his face. Staring up at the ceiling, he wondered if it was the right choice not telling anybody what had happened earlier that day.

"I wonder what could have happened to Mr. Tien…?" He mumbled to himself before turning to look out the window, staring at the pink sky as the tall mountains in the distance blocked out the sinking sun. "Some day.." He whispered to himself. "I'm going to be a great scholar."

"Gohan! Dinner's ready!" He heard a distant calling, but didn't move. Almost as if what was said didn't register. "Gohan! Time to eat!" It continued.

"Gohan! Hey!" He felt his mother shaking him awake, laying on the wooden desk with his head on his arm. He sat upright, staring at the wall. He remembered.. A bunch of books, and a graduation, and walking school utensils. And Piccolo had been there too. And then at the end..

"It was just a dream." He said to no one in particular, with his mom standing behind him looking over his shoulder.

"Have you finished your studying?" His mother questioned with a nagging tone. Gohan turned to look at her with a sheepish face, laughing a bit.

"I'm almost done." He responded before turning back and beginning to write in the blank notebook.

"Well hurry up, then come eat." She told him before walking out of the room, leaving Gohan to do his work. As she exited, she thought to herself. That's strange, he never used to fall asleep studying. I hope this doesn't become a habit. She sighed and looked up at the ceiling. My precious boy's becoming a lazy delinquent before my very own eyes!

Meanwhile, on Roshi's Island.

A ring on the doorbell was heard while Bulma and Oolong argued in the kitchen, Oolong's cooking filling the house.

"Hey turtle!" Roshi called from upstairs. "Could you get that? I'm a little busy… heh heh."

Turtle would open the door, his eyes widening and a small sound escaping his mouth upon finding a scary looking creature at the door, staring him in the face.

"We've come for the one called Master Roshi." The biomen demanded, staring at the turtle.

"Okay.." Turtle replied. "Uh.. yeah, he's right inside."

"Bring him to us." The biomen ordered.

The door would open, causing all four biomen to jump back in shock. "No need, I'm here, I'm here!" He said, walking out of the door while coughing from the smoke Oolong had made. His usual orange outfit was replaced with a black and white one. "Now what can I do for you?"

"Dr. Wheelo calls for you. Come with us." They ordered the old man.

"Sorry, that name doesn't ring a bell. If that's all, I'll excuse myself now."

The biomen would take steps forward, putting their hands up. Roshi's face became serious, realizing that this was a situation being forced upon him and not asked of him.

"What's going on out here?!" Krillin said as he walked out of the door. Seeing the situation, he'd turn back and motion for Oolong and Bulma to stay inside. Roshi turned to speak, but one of the biomen would jump over him as they rushed him from all sides. Immediately, Roshi would slam his fist into the one in front of him, smash his foot into the one behind him, elbow the one to the right of him and punch the one to the left, all in less than a second. A clapping would be heard as the biomen fell dead to the floor, and as Roshi turned he'd see a shriveled up old man with gray skin and stringy hair growing around the sides of his head. He was missing several teeth and wore a white lab coat with black pants.

"That's just what I expected from the great Master Roshi, excellent form! I've come to take you to my master, Dr. Wheelo. He's quite anxious to make your acquaintance."

Roshi's stern eyes stared at the man through his sunglasses with Krillin walking up next to him with a glare on his face. "I'm not going anywhere with you, buddy!"

A scream from the house would be heard as the biomen dragged Bulma outside. Krillin cursed himself for leaving the house, trying to run at them but stopping when a bioman raised its' sharp talons at Bulma's throat.

"Another fighter, I see. You come as well, I'm sure Dr. Wheelo would be interested in a pupil of Roshi's all the same. And you wouldn't want anything to happen to the girl, would you?"

Krillin growled under his breath, but Roshi held his hand out before Krillin could retort. "I suppose you're right." Roshi admitted, inducing a toothless smile from the disgusting man.

"I expected more of a struggle than this, but I admire your protection over your friend." He patronized as a large black mass would exit the water.

Meanwhile, Oolong cowered inside the cabinet as he heard everybody depart, his entire body trembling in fear at the strange freaks.

At Mt. Paozu

"I can't believe that he took Bulma and Master Roshi with him." Goku said while sitting in a large barrel of water as he processed Oolong's story, who nodded in confirmation in front of him. "Honestly I'm not THAT worried. Master Roshi is a martial arts champion, after all. I'm sure he'll be able to get the situation under control. But where do you think he took them, Oolong?"

"I know where they are." Gohan said as he came out from the window he'd ducked in, eavesdropping. "They took him to the icy mountains, up north where I went with Mr. Tien to train."

Moments later, Chi-Chi was scolding Gohan for lying at the kitchen table while Oolong sat with a plate of food in front of him, eating some leftover's from Chi-Chi's dinner.

"Sorry to interrupt everybody, but I'm going to see if I can find them."

"I want to go!" Gohan shot back as he tried getting up from his chair and running to the door, but was halted by Chi-Chi. "But mom-" He protested.

"You're staying right here." She asserted.

"FLYING NIMBUS!" Goku shouted at the sky, the yellow cloud swirling down from the air and coming to a halt next to Goku. "Well, I'm off! Time for a new adventure."

"Please be careful out there, Goku." His wife insisted as she came outside to see him off.

"You know I will, bye!" He replied as the nimbus took off away from the house.

In Wheelo's Ship…

Roshi fell to the floor, smoke rising from his body as the three super bio warriors stood in front of him with devilish smiles on their faces. "Very good, my creations!" Dr. Kotchin shouted while overlooking the cameras, much to Bulma's disgust. "Now let's see how the student does!"

Krillin would be forced into the room and come face to face with the bio warriors who all turned from Roshi's unconscious body to face him. Krillin's nerves steeled, but something was off. He could tell Master Roshi hadn't used all of his power in the fight, meaning the old man was planning something. Whatever that may be, Krillin didn't know. He simply got in a fighting stance and awaited the attacks of the bio warriors.

Ebifurya attacked first, shooting a blast of frozen energy at Krillin who immediately dodged. When Kishime threw an electric whip at the bald monk, he would immediately dive behind Misokatusun and let the whips strike his fattened body. Misokatusun made a grunting sound in response as Kishime took the whips away after realizing his mistake. Krillin, meanwhile, would jump up and aim to plant his foot into Misokatusun's face, sending him stumbling back but being caught by Ebifurya's fist sending him careening into the wall.

Krillin jumped back up and dived out of the way of Misokatusun trying to body slam him in the wall, causing the fat yellow warrior to run into the wall. Despite this, the giant fighter shrugged it off and got to his feet while Krillin rushed at Ebifurya. The Bio-Warrior grinned as he held his hand out, aiming to fire an ice blast at the bald warrior. However, seeing this, Krillin's aura would burst around his body as he flew around it and would circle back to slam his foot into the Warrior's back. While these fighters were much stronger, they didn't seem to be all that smart.

"Interesting…." Kochin mused while watching the fight. "See this, Dr. Wheelo? This pupil looks significantly stronger than Roshi.."

"Yes.. you did good to bring him here, Kochin. Roshi's been surpassed in the last 50 years." Came a voice from the dark.

Bulma stayed quiet, too busy watching Krillin to even notice that there were two people in the room. She hoped and prayed that Krillin could beat these maniacs and take her home. Goku had to be on his way, right?

Krillin jumped over a slash from Kishime's whip, aiming to slam his foot into Kishime's face before suddenly sensing a power from behind. Krillin would duck and feel the cold ice blast zoom over his head and hit Kishime square in the body and freezing him in place. Krillin whirled around only to feel himself backhanded into the wall with incredible force. Before the warriors could advance, a figure would walk in front of Krillin and throw his shirt off, revealing his skinny frame.

"You didn't think the fight was over, did you?" Roshi stated before balling his hands into fists, his body bulking up somewhat and revealing a rather impressive build: the same build he had when he fought Goku as Jackie Chun.

"So Roshi wasn't showing his true power.." Analyzed Kochin as the scene advanced.

Krillin got up and stood next to his master. "You never stopped training, did you master?" He noticed with a laugh, seeing his energy was significantly higher than it was the last time he saw him fighting years ago.

"Of course not, a true master would never stop improving." The old man shot back as his sunglasses reflected the light, giving him an intimidating stare.

Ebifurya came first, followed by Kishime (who had teleported himself out of the ice). Roshi would parry a stein from Ebifurya and slam his knee into the back of his head. Meanwhile, Krillin would bob and wave Kishime's strikes, but as he tried to slam his fist in Kishime's face he'd realize Kishime had disappeared. Suddenly, he'd feel an immense pain from behind as his entire body would become shocked by Kishime's whips, having teleported behind him.

Roshi would kick Ebifurya into Misokatsun's body and send them both back, whirling to Kishime and holding his hands out.

"Let's see how you like it! Thunder Shock Surprise!" He yelled as yellow and green lightning shot from his hand and began to aggressively shock Kishime, who was forced to release Krillin. After getting to his feet, Krillin would see Ebifurya trying to go after Roshi and immediately stepped in, kicking him in the head and following up with several punches to the chest. However, Ebifurya would recover quickly and catch Krillin's fist, pulling him to the side and ramming his knee into his gut and breaking a few ribs. Roshi would feel his body be slammed into the wall by Misokatsun.

"There's an immensely high power coming this way." Dr. Wheelo stated as Kotchin watched the fight. The TV would switch to show Goku on the flying nimbus, headed towards the base.

"Goku! Now you're in for it, you don't stand a chance against Goku!" Bulma shouted, looking over at Kotchin. "Roshi may have been the strongest 50 years ago, but now it's Goku! You don't stand a chance!"

Kotchin laughed at her foolishness. "We'll see about that, girl. Ebifurya, Kishime, search and destroy! Address our little guest."

Bulma scoffed and spat on the ground in front of Kotchin. "If those guys were struggling against Krillin, they don't stand a chance against Goku!"

Kotchin took a step and slapped Bulma across the face, making her fall down onto the platform which she was chained.

"Contain yourself, Kotchin." Wheelo interrupted. "Those bio warriors were only using half of their power against those two. One of them were meant to be my replacement, but since this new Warrior is the strongest, I'll allow Misokatsun to finish them."

"You hear that? Full power!" Roared Kotchin into the microphone. "Your friends won't survive the day!"
