"Mum would have let me!"

"Well mums not here is she Rodney? And if you're that ungrateful then don't live here. Find your own place to live"

"Fine!" The young boy shouted and ran out the flat, slamming the door. Del paced around the flat, hands in a fist.

"You aright Delboy?" Grandad said softly.

"Yeah I'm fine grandad, just annoyed with Rodney"

"He's only 10 Del"

"I know" he sighed, slumping onto the chair.

"Are you going to look for him?"

"He'll be home in a minute grandad. He'll have only gone downstairs to prove a point. He'll come back when he's hungry"

"If you say so Del"

4 hours later

"Where is that boy?" Del muttered to himself.

"Delboy, you should go and look for him"

"I know grandad, I'll go now"

"I'll wait here incase he comes home"

"Alright" Del said.

Del walked around the streets of London looking for Rodney. He went in the nags head and asked his friends to keep an eye and ear out and to let him know if they heard anything. Del searched all afternoon but he couldn't find his little brother anywhere. He tried the park, the common, the sweet shop and he rung all of Rodney's friends parent. No one had seen the boy. Del rang home to see if Rodney had come home.

"Grandad?"

"Del is that you?"

"Yeah, has he been home yet?"

"No Del, have you found him?"

"No, but I'll keep looking"

2 days later

Delboy and grandad were worried sick. Del had been out searching all day for two days straight but there was still no sight of the boy.

"Where are you Rodders?"

He hadn't slept in two days, and had only eaten a few chips. He had hardy been home and had just been searching.

Del was about to go to the police station to file a missing persons report when he saw a small figure crumpled on the floor. It was down a small alleyway. Del ran towards the figure and to his amazement he saw a young boy curled up.

"Rodney? Is that really you?"

The boy lifted up his head and smiled when he saw who it was.

"Del! You found me!"

Delboy fell to his knees next to Rodney and pulled him into his arms. He hugged him tightly and grinned.

"Where did you go? I've been looking everywhere for you!"

"I got lost. I tried to get home but I didn't know where I was Del. Then it got dark and I don't like the dark so I found this place and fell asleep"

"Are you hurt?"

"No, I'm fine"

"Come on bruv, let's go home"

Rodney tried to stand up, but was too exhausted. He fell against Del. The older brother just picked him up and carried him. They trudged back to the flat and Del knocked on the door. Grandad opened the door looking hopeful and laughed when he saw who it was.

"Rodney! You're safe!"

"Yeah, I found him" Del said smiling.

"Thank goodness, I was worried sick!"

"I'm alright grandad"

"Shall I get some food on? And a bath?"

"Yes please, that would be good"

"Are you tired Rodders?" Del asked.

"Really. And cold"

"Don't worry, we'll sort you out"

Later on, after they had all eaten and showered, Del carried Rodney to bed. He tucked him in and sat besides his brother.

"Rodney, don't you ever do that again"

"I won't Del"

"Promise, because I was very worried about you"

"Even though you shouted?"

"Even though I shouted. You're my little bruv, I don't want you going anywhere"

"It was quite scary Del"

"I bet it was. Now get some sleep and I'll see you tomorrow"

"Will you read me a story?"

"If you want"

"Thanks Del, you're the best big brother in the world"

"And you're the best little brother in the world" Del said softly whilst smiling, as his little brother started to fall asleep.
