Leo's POV
The Earth seemed to freeze in time, as Honeycutt powered the engines, reality sunk in. They had lost. Their home was gone.
"No need to worry young turtles, we will be returning back in time so we may save your planet, blooop bleep"
A breath and they were back, the Earth was back, it was back. There was no evidence of its destruction. Leo breathed in the artificial air that surrounded him, for some reason it felt thinner- either that or it was just becoming harder to breathe. A tightness settled deep in Leo's chest and for the love of the maker he couldn't make it loosen, he tried coughing but the tightness that was residing in his chest traveled up his body into his throat causing him to choke, he couldn't breathe and everything hurt,
He couldn't breathe and yet was that blood? Yes that was definitely blood dripping down his plastron it felt almost as if he was, was, his mind blanked. Everything was getting fuzzier and was-was that the floor getting closer?
General POV
The turtles, April and Casey were all in awe of their home's return, it was all back, they had seriously gone back in time? Professor Honeycutt nodded, satisfied at his success, "Right fair warning, as you six are the only ones to know of what occurred in the past, past events that booop took place at this time are likely to be repeated beep" Honeycutt began pressing the controls to steady the ship.
"Wait, professor, what does that mean, does that- So you're saying that anything from six months ago will be repeated, because there was an invasion which we kinda-thwarted I guess?" Donatello contemplated,
"Affirmative, events revolving around you six will reoccur, therefore the invasion should not happen again as it affected a lot more people in the past other than you six," Honeycutt explained, looking down at the controls, was that wheezing he heard, almost choking? His audio receptors must be playing up.
"Professor that doesn't make any sense?" April complained frustration shining in her eyes, "It's the theory of time that's confusing child- there is not much I can do to help with that" Honeycutt blooped in confirmation, signaling an end to the conversation.
Before much more could be said a realization passed the turtles, turning their heads slightly to the right their expressions of questioning changed to those of concern, fright and sadness, not a second later their subject of concern collapsed into a heap on the ground, breath short, eyes closing.
"LEO!"
