A/N So I decided to add an extra sene to this to kinda tie it up.

Mere was walking out of the small market with an arm load of groceries she placed one bag down on the ground so she could open the back, end of her SUV. She was startled when she heard a very formerly voice ask her if she needed any help. She turned to look at the man standing beside her.

" It's been awhile Agent Brody, I wasn't aware of ya being back in the big easy!"

"Pride it's nice to see you as well." Mere said as continued to place her groceries in the back end.Pride noticed that she kept looking towards the front of the market, like she was searching for someone.

"So Brody what brings ya back here?"

Mere was about to answer when Chris came walking up carrying Caden in his arms. He was about to turn away, when Pride spotted him.

"Christopher who's this ya got there?"

Before Chris could say anything, Mere spoke up- "He's my son Pride."

"Really..."

"Yes Chris is..." Before Mere could finish, Chris interrupted her.

"King, Caden here, well he's mine and Mere's son.."

Pride looked from Chris then back to Mere, confusion on his face.

"Christopher when did all this take place?"

"Mere was pregnant with him when I was shot, only reason I got hit was cause I wasn't bout to let her or my baby get hurt. She tried to tell ya at the hospital, but ya wouldn't hear her out. So she took the blame, and ya I'm no better cause I let her. We both should've told ya 'bout him."

Pride just looked at Chris and Mere with sadness in eyes. "I did wrong by both of ya, now that I think back I could've handled the whole thing better then I did and for that I'm sorry, and I'm sorry that kept ya both apart." Pride looked down at the ground in shame.

" Dwayne I never left, after you transferred me. Instead I chose to resign from NCIS, I was only gone long enough to process out. Then I came home to New Orleans and my husband." Mere looked over at Chris and smiled, Chris wrapped his free arm around his wife's waist.

Pride was stunned by this new development- "When did you two get married?"

Chris laughed.."Well King we just woke up one Saturday morn' and decided to fly to Vegas and get married, shortly after that was when Mere found out bout Caden."

"Dwayne I was going to tell you the day Chris got shot, but you were so angry with me, and you blamed me for freezing and causeing Chris to get hit.But truthfully you were right to blame me, cause Chris did get hit on acount of me. It was my fault for being in the field that day knowing that I shouldn't have been, I not only risked my life, but my husbands and my sons life."

Pride looked down at the ground then back up at his agent and his former agent, "let's start fresh."

"I'd like that King."

"Good,Mere I want ya to start bring that baby to the office, I'm goin to need to need see more of him. "

"I'd love to do that, I want Chris to show him off."

"Good, now let's put all this behind us, Christopher take the rest of the week off, and spend it with that family of yours, "

"Ya ain't goin get an argument from me king!"

Pride laughed and as he walked away, he patted Chris on the shoulder. "Ya did good son!"

Chris looked at king and smiled. "I sure did king, I sure did."
