Home Is Where the Heart Is
To say Erza Scarlett was having a bad day would be the understatement of the century. Between coming home from a long S-Class mission by herself (who knew that defeating an entire dark guild by yourself would be so tiring), learning that Team Natsu had yet again destroyed half of Magnolia (All because of some stupid spider. Yes. A fucking spider.), getting a lecture from the Master ("Yes, Master. I promise I can keep the team under control."), finding out that some boy hit on Lucy (Holy Mavis, did he ever regret it) and finally discovering that an entire guild was squatting in her apartment (Crime Sorcière, there is a difference between allowing Jellal to stay to letting all seven of you stay), she was having easily the worst day in Fairy Tail history (including that seven year period where they were all stuck on island. Even worse than that.)
She trudged through the city at night, pissed off at the world and unable to go back to her apartment because of a certain pink haired mage who made it her life's mission to set Erza and Jellal up. She shivered at the thought of letting the pink haired demon near her underwear collection again.
The armoured mage slowly realized that she really had no idea where the hell she was going. She grumbled under her breath. She considered going back to the guild and started walking in that direction. Although, once she got within 100 meters of the guild hall, she heard the noisy brawl going on inside.
You see, normally, Erza is the sort of person to jump right into the fight. Nothing pleased her more than knocking the heads of those two idiots (*ahem* Natsu and Gray) together, but tonight she really wasn't in the mood. As previously mentioned, that S-Class mission really took it out of her. She knew she probably could've defeated them using much less magic if she hadn't used her Nakagami armour, but that stupid mage had it coming when he said she was "too hot to be strong".
So instead of joining the Fairy-Tail style brawl, she turned on her heel and walked in the other direction. She was just too freaking tired to do any fighting at the moment. She continued until she realized yet again that she had nowhere to go.
Erza considered her options. She could turn and break up the fight in the guild hall. Nah, she decided, that would take too much energy.
She could go back to Fairy Hills. But, she quickly dismissed this thought when the mental image of Cobra drawing on Midnight's face as he slept came to mind. Even though Erza was by no definition weak, she definitely did not want to be there when the grumpy Reflection mage woke up.
Suddenly, an idea came to the poor redhead's mind. She remembered something Jellal had told her earlier that day. A place he told her to go. With a massive smile on her face, she skipped happily to her favorite place in the whole world. A place where everyone is always accepted. The only place where she truly felt at home.
The place where her true love was.
She ran as fast as one could run in armour. She almost requipped into her flight armour, but realized that she had almost no magic to do so.
After a few minutes of sprinting, she was there.
She was home.
And, in her hands, her true love.
Her strawberry cake.
