Tears streamed down my face, as I tried the best I could to keep the gate open.
Wendy gave me a tearful hug before she ran after Gajeel, who were already waiting at the gate. She told me she wanted to stay. That she couldn't leave us behind. She didn't have the strength to do it. We was her family.
Gajeel reached out his hand out for her, as she approached him. Wendy's voice carried in the wind as she cried into Gajeel's chest. Comforting, he placed his other arm around her. He smiled over to us, as he held her close.
At least they had each other.
The sight of them moving closer towards the gate, was breaking my heart. I wanted with all my heart to close it. So they all could stay. So we could be together. All of us.
But I couldn't.
I had to keep it open.
Sting and Rogue came over to me, standing by my side. Sting laid his hand on my shoulder, as he smiled with tears in his eyes. He looked so happy, but his heart said a different thing. Sting looked over at Lector, who held hands with Frosch. Their tears never stopped. Painfully Sting walked away from his friends, his old friends, and his new.
I looked over at Rouge, who nodded thankfully before he walked after Sting.
They were all leaving.
The hardest thing wasn't to open the gate.
Two arms came up behind me, wrapping them around my waist. I looked over my shoulder to see Natsu's head rest on my shoulder. I couldn't control my tears, as I felt his warmth wrapped around me. He tightened his grip, as he heard me sob into the night.
It was about closing one.
He removed his arms, making me freeze, afraid he would leave already. Natsu wiped away my tears with his thumbs. Making me rest my face in his hands. I looked up at him, trying to keep myself from crying, for that what was he wanted. For me to be strong.
Natsu leaned in and connected our lips, making me close my eyes. Feeling his warm tear on my skin, before he slowly pulled away.
Closing one when you're not ready.
I don't want to say goodbye. Not yet. We have so many other adventures and memories to discover.
Happy came running up behind me, shouting to Natsu that he should never forget us. He held my leg as we stood there together, watching him walk away from us.
All of us stood there as we watched them standing in front of the gate.
It was time.
This was my destiny.
That was his.
It was time to say goodbye.
I used the last I had left of my strength, closing the door behind them. One by one they went into the light and disappeared.
Natsu was the last one, and the gate was almost close. He smiled one last time before he followed after them.
The sound of the stone door broke the silence.
I fell to my knees as I screamed in pain, hugging Happy close to me. Wrapping his small arms around me as we shared the same pain.
We were left alone.
All alone.
Goodbye.. Natsu.
Ello!
I'm rising up from the grave!
I got so depressed after the last chapter, and especially after 'Blanania' posted her theory on tumblr.
Anyone agree? Will Lucy do the same thing as Layla did?
Sorry for the absent, but I do have some news!
I have written a few chapters already, by hand first of course, so it will take a little bit time before I publish anything. I have also decided to finish the story 'Mermaid' first. 4 chapters are already written, now I only need to type it on the computer..
Reason for this is that I don't want to have unfinished stories so I will finish them one by one.
I have also started on a new short story. BUT it's a birthday present for my friend, but she doesn't know it yet. She have asked me so manny times if I could write ... Oh no, that's a secret!
So 'Mermaid' will be the first one to go!
Have a nice day!
