A/N: On the entirely too slim chance that one of the members of SHINee happen upon this fic, I apologize eternally for using you guys, you are all just too cute to undress and manipulate...not saying that I plan to or anything, but really...what my fingers choose to do, is rarely up to me. In any case, to my readers...ALL of them...I hope you enjoy. Clearly, SHINee members do NOT belong to me...they belong to everyone. Let us bask in their SHINing.
FYI: This story takes place in late 2012. I can't bring myself to write in Jonghyun's death. *bows*

"Name the following intervals. In your answers remember to include both the interval's number, third, fifth, fourth...so on...and type, major, minor...so on." Onew read out loud, pointing his pencil at the worksheet as he read off the packet. "So this...we have...B Major, this makes it?"
"...Perfect Fifth," Kagome said, looking over the two hollowed circles on the lines that made up her music sheets workbook.
"Good, and this one?"
"Major Third...and the last one is Minor Seventh...right?"
Onew smiled, "you aren't as horrible as I thought." He looked at her from the corner of his eyes and his smile slowly faded as she wrote down her answers.
"I will be fine, I won't die..."
Everything had calmed down since the boys had started digging through the clothes they'd received from Shippou that morning. A promise to go out and eat chicken hung in the air, so Onew had decided to help her with her Music Theory homework since that was where she was struggling. Kagome finished writing down the answers and looked up to see Onew looking at her. She noticed the sad look in his eyes, even as he still held a small smile on his lips. "What is it?"
Onew's smile widened a little and he laughed.
"What?!" Kagome balked at the older boy who was laughing at her.
He brought his hand up and ran his fingers over top her head, taking with it a lock of hair that was sticking up waywardly from the rest of her hair. He placed his hand back down in his lap, but he didn't take his eyes off of her. "Kagome..."
"Y-yes?"
"I want you to promise me something."
She tilted her head curiously, "promise you what?"
"You told us that since we came into your life, you want to protect us...that you would face SHINee's future dangers head on...and while we don't want that, we can't stop you either." He turned his eyes downward at his hands and shook his head a little, "that's why, I want you to promise me this one thing."
She looked thoughtfully at Onew before smiling, "anything, what is it?"
"Promise not to purposely go looking for danger. Should something come up, we will work together, or you won't get involved at all."
Her eyes widened a bit, but thinking over his words, and hearing the concern in his voice, she couldn't help but nod her head. "Alright then, I promise...I will work with you all...if it means I can protect you all."
He nodded before turning his attention back to the paper, "This is the last one...circle the interval written in harmonic form in the piece below."
Kagome took him in once more before she smiled and looked carefully over the notes and circled cautiously what she believed to be the right answer. When Onew nodded, she couldn't help but smile at the little success and small progress she was making. "Thanks again...for taking the time to help me, that is." She stood and stretched loudly and happily before yelling loudly. "LET'S GO EAT!"
"Oh!? Chicken?!" Onew stood suddenly, "we're going for chicken, right?! Right?! Chicken, right!?"
Kagome laughed at how excited the leader of SHINee was. "Only if everyone gets ready,"
"OMO!? OMO!" Onew jumped off the couch and took off in a run upstairs, surely the others would be dressed and downstairs soon.

Shippou looked over the transcript in his hands, nodding to himself, he smirked and laid it down on his desk. "Maybe I should give the kid a break..." He laughed and stood up as he pulled out his phone. "No...where would the phone be in that?"
"What a mischievous brother I have..."
Shippou jumped and turned his eyes toward the door of his office, "oh...AH! When did you get back?!"
Golden eyes looked bored at the excitement that surrounded the red head in front of him. "This morning. I came back when I heard about Kagome. How is she?"
"...she's fine...so are the five guys she's living with right now."
A raised brow followed Shippou's attempt to get a rise out of the new comer. "You were going to make a call..." He said before turning and leaving the office, long white hair trailed after him in a long ponytail before he vanished from Shippou's sight.
"...call?" He glanced down at his phone before realization dawned on him. "That's right!"

"This is why you guys have to workout so much..." she stared in awe at the pile of fried chicken in front of her. Onew had already downed about eight chicken legs and was still going strong. "Nai...Hyeon-San...you won't get sick later, will you?"
"On-ah...Hyeon-Oppa is a veteran at eating. Don't worry, Kagome-noona..." Taemin blushed a little, but smiled at the uncertain look in Kagome's eyes.
"Hyeon-Oppa has no manners." Key scoffed, already used to calling his fellow band-mates by their names and proper suffixes.
"Eat some!" Minho pushed the chicken towards Kagome and smiled when she took a chicken wing.
Kagome chewed a bit before laughing as Key sighed at the food intake of their leader.
"Aish...Hyeon-Oppa...finish what's in your mouth."
Onew smiled and nodded, "mn...right...sorry."

Kagome put down the chicken and picked up her phone, reading the text she'd just received as she scrolled over it with her thumb. "Seong-Chan, tomorrow is Monday, your uniform will be sent to the shrine along with your schedule. I think you'll pretty much be in all of my classes, so don't worry yourself too much."
Taemin sighed but smiled and gave a small incline of his head before finishing the chicken he held.
Jonghyun shook his head, "so this is the reality we are currently in..." shrugging, he put an arm over Taemin's shoulders and laughed into his ear, "just know that this could be much worse...yeah?"
"...yeah..."
Kagome looked at the others and her smile grew dark, "yes...much worse. You could be Hyeon-San, Jonghwa-San, Minsu-San and Keyung-Chan...who will be working very hard with Shippou starting tomorrow. He'll send a car at nine, Seong-Chan and I will leave earlier, we have to be there at seven, so it's best for us to go to sleep earlier."
Taemin pouted, but nodded again. Tomorrow...was a whole new ball game. He could hardly wait.
