Hi, world!

So, just a quick update. I haven't forgotten about you all. Life is just crazy and sometimes, I'm lazy. Anyway. I have gotten half of the next chapter written recently and then haven't had the chance to add to it, cuz let's face it: Mother Nature has other plans for Oklahomans. Had a birthday, 2 tornadoes 1 to 3 miles outside of my little town, flooding, stuck at the police station for a few hours, and cleanup all on Monday. We actually had 3 or 4 water rescues in town shortly after I stopped at the police station to avoid getting stuck. Tuesday (was up til 2:30 or 3 in the morning), woke up two hours later at 5 to more down-pouring and flooding I had to clean up. Wednesday hits. Repeat, only this time I didn't try driving with my car in the high waters to get home from my parents' (they have the cellar and it's a five minute drive to it). Thursday a friend and I made homemade sandbags to help keep the water out of my apartment. It didn't stop it completely, but it did slow it down a lot. South of town had it worse. They had flooding in their homes and cars by feet. Mine only had inches. Friday comes along. My area stayed under tornado watch, but flooding continues to happen. Yesterday (Saturday), repeat. Didn't check forecast today, but Tuesday is suppose to be bad too. Somebody, send us an Ark. Oklahoma can't take anymore water! Our rivers are over flooded.

I know there are rain dances, but are there anti-rain dances. I'm pretty sure Oklahoma and surrounding areas will be greatful. When I stood fighting flood waters and get my damage assessment finished, I hope to get back to writing very soon.

Pray to your gods for us so we don't have to keep going in our cellars and drowning.

Love,
