Jace POV

When we got back to the agency it was early in the morning. The sun was barely coming up over the horizon. Clary and I had been talking the entire flight. She told me about what Sebastian had done to her when he had taken her. I told her what her family had been up too since she was gone.

The plane landed. Maia woke up without any help. She stared at Clary and I suspiciously but didn't say anything. Clary woke Sophie up. We didn't talk as we got off of the plane. When we got down the stairs Sophie raised her arms to me again. I picked her up while Clary watched a small smile on her face. Sophie laid her head down on my shoulder and I could feel her drifting back to sleep.

"I'm going to go see Hodge. Y'all should go down to the cafe. Maybe get Sophie something to eat." Maia suggested. Clary nodded her head.

"OK that's a good idea. Jace?" I followed after her with Sophie in my arms. Clary and I were talking about Sophie when out of nowhere Clary was ambushed. Isabelle was practically smothering her in a hug.

"I have wanted to do that for so long. You have no idea. Where have you been? What happened to you? Are you ok?" Iz's mouth moved a mile a minute. Clary stood frozen in place. Then Iz stopped talking her eyes drifted from Clary to me and then to Sophie who was still in my arms. Isabelle dropped her arms, her mouth hung open. She lowered her voice to a whisper.

"Is that Sophie?" She asked. Clary looked back to me. I dropped my head and nodded to Iz.

"Is this what you were doing Jace? You were gone saving the world and here I was calling you a jackass. I think that makes me the jackass…" She moved closer to me but she was looking at Clary. "What happened Clare?"

"I think we need to talk. Jace? Can you take Sophie to the cafe get her something to eat?" Iz looked between us. I nodded my head and walked away from them. As I walked away I heard Clary start to tell Iz the whole story.

Sophie and I were almost done eating when Clary and Iz walked in. Iz took a seat next to me while Clary sat beside Sophie.

"Look mommy they have dino nuggets." Sophie said while she played with them. Clary laughed and kissed her forehead. Clary started to speak when Hodge and Maia approached the table. We all looked at them. Maia looked tired but happy. While Hodge looked pleased.

"Clary I'm so glad you made it back safely. Though I can't say i'm happy that you escaped Maia and Jordan. Sophie it's good to have you home dear." Sophie smiled at him but she went back to playing.

"Well I have good news. Right after you left, some of the agents in Brazil managed to track down Sebastian. His father, Valentine, was killed in the process. Sebastian was detained and is awaiting trial. There is no doubt that he will be locked up for a very long time." Clary breathed a sigh of relief.

"That means you're finally safe Clary. You never have to worry about him again. That means Sophie is safe too." Maia said. Clary closed her eyes.

"Thank you Hodge. You'll never know how much I appreciate you." She said. "I was wondering if I could get some time off." She looked at me and Iz. "I think it's time I go home." Hodge nodded his head.

"Yes, please take as much time as you need." Hodge walked away. Maia placed her hand on Clary's shoulder.

"I'm so glad you're home. I'm glad you're safe. Call me when you get back ok? And don't do anything stupid. Yea?" Clary smiled at her. And then Maia too walked away.

And then it was just us sitting at the table. Iz sat just staring at Sophie. Clary noticed. She put her hand on Sophie's back.

"Hey, Sop? I want you to meet someone else." Sophie looked at her mom then at Iz. She put her dino nuggets down. "Do you see the girl sitting next to your dad?" She nodded her head. "Well her name is Isabelle. She's your aunt." Iz's mouth dropped open. Sophie looked at Iz quizzically. Clary held her breath.

"I get a daddy and an aunt?!" Sophie jumped down from her seat and made her way to Isabelle. Iz scooted her chair out from the table. Sophie climbed into her lap.

"Hi, i'm Sophie." Iz looked from Sophie to me to Clary.

"Hi, Sophie. I'm Isabelle." Iz grabbed one of Sophie's red curls. "Clare she looks just like you." Clary nodded her head. "I can't believe you have a daughter." Sophie climbed down from her lap. She made her way back to Clary and sat down next to her.

"I know Iz, I know. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I didn't know how you'd react. I didn't know how she'd react. But, I think it's time I go home. I miss my parents. I think it's time everyone knows." Clary stood from the table. Iz and I followed suit.

"Clare do you want us to go with you?" She nodded her head. Then we walked out of the agency and we grabbed a cab. It was time for us to go home.

Clary POV

I watched as the cab drove away. I could feel my heart start to sped up. I could feel Jace behind me. He put his hand on my shoulder.

"You don't have to do this. Not yet. Not if you're not ready." I looked at him. My eyes drifted from him to Sophie. Isabelle was holding her. I smiled. On the ride over Iz and Sophie had bonded. I don't know why I had been so worried. I took a deep breath. It was time.

I walked up the front steps to the door. With Jace and Iz behind me I knocked on the door. Once then twice. Then I waited. The door started to open. My heart stopped.

My mom answered the door. She had a smile on her face then she locked eyes with me. She dropped the towel in her hand.

"Clary? Is it really you?" My mom started crying. Then I started crying. She walked toward me. I felt her arms go around me and suddenly I was a kid a again. A kid who just needed her mother.

"Mom I missed you so so much." She tightened her arms around me.

"Come inside please." She turned and grabbed my hand leading me inside. I looked back to Iz and Jace. My mom hadn't spotted Sophie. She would though. She sat down on the couch. I sat across from her. That's when her eyes found Jace then Iz and then finally Sophie. My mom's mouth opened shock filled her face. Iz let Sophie down. She ran to me. As Iz and Jace took a seat I brought Sophie into my lap.

"Clary?" I looked at my mother. She looked different. Her once vibrant red hair was now softer and more faded. She had more lines on her face. She had aged. "Who is that?" She asked. The time had come.

"This is Sophie. She is my daughter." My mother started crying. Sophie looked at her then looked at me.

"Why is she crying mommy?" I shook my head at her.

"I don't know honey. I don't know. Mom? I have a lot to tell you." I wiped a tear from my face. "Jace, can you take Sophie?" He nodded and picked her up. She didn't need to hear this not yet anyway. Once she was out of the room I told my mom the whole story.

"... I got pregnant with Sophie before I was kidnapped. She was born while I was hostage. She is still to young to piece everything together but she knows it happened." By the time I finished the story my mother had stopped crying.

"I'm so sorry. I'm sorry we didn't try harder to find you. And everything you went through." I shook my head at her. It wasn't her fault. It wasn't any bodies fault.

"It's ok. Mom i've come to terms with it. There is nothing I can change about it. I'm sorry it took so long for me to come home. I wanted to so badly. I just never knew how…." I looked at Iz. She looked at me. "Mom do you want to meet Sophie?" My mom looked up she nodded her head.

Isabelle stood up and went to find Jace. When they came back Sophie came running in. Jace and Iz were behind her. I looked at Jace quizzically. He had on a flower crown. Sophie ran to me and presented me with a daisy.

"Look what I found mommy!" I smiled at her. I took the flower from her and put it in my hand. I turned her around to face my mother.

"Sophie I want you to meet someone else. This is my mother. She is your grandmother." For the first time Sophie backed up further into me. "Hey, it's okay. You know how I'm your mommy?" She nodded her head. "Well she is my mommy. She raised me." Sophie pulled away from me. She walked towards my mother.

"Hi, Sophie. I'm your grandma." Sophie looked at me then at her. She reached for my mother. I heard the front door open. Jace and I turned our heads at the same time. My father walked in with Stephanie. He looked from Sophie and my mother to me and back again. Before anyone could say anything Stephanie ran towards me. She hugged me and I hugged her back. She was so big now. Her own strawberry curls were so long. She didn't get my eyes or my mothers she got dads. But, even so they were a beautiful blue.

"Claryyyyyyyy I missed you so much. Momma said you weren't coming back." I breathed in and looked at my mother.

"Yea, I didn't think I was coming back either." My father moved further into the room. I stood and hugged him.

"I missed you dad." I said. By now the tears started falling harder. I missed my dad so much. I'd been gone for so long I had started to forget just how much I missed my family.

"Who is she?" Stephanie asked. I pulled away from my dad. We both turned to see Stephanie pointing at Sophie. Sophie had moved to Jace's lap.

"Steph, dad this is my daughter Sophie." My dad collapsed onto the couch next to my mom. I looked at Jace, he nodded. He moved to stand and took Sophie out of the room again.

"Hey, Steph can you go with Isabelle? I need to talk to dad." At first she didn't want to but she gave in and followed Iz out of the room. Once she left I told my dad the story. By then I was sure i'd told the story a hundred times.

"I'm going to go get Sophie." I walked out of the room and go Sophie. For a moment I was grateful she was being so accepting of all the new people in her life. Hopefully she could do few more.

"Sophie. There are two more people I want you to meet. This is my dad he's your grandpa. And that is my sister, Stephanie. She's your aunt." Jace put Sophie down. She walked to me. I pulled her onto my lap.

"More people mommy?" I nodded my head. My dad moved to the edge of is seat.

"She looks just like you Clare. How old is she? Who is her dad?" I pushed some of the curls out of Sophie's face.

"Sophie is four years old. Jace is her dad." My dad's eyes shot to Jace. That's when I noticed Isabelle had left.

"I know dad I know. Sophie is my daughter and I wouldn't change that for the world."

Two weeks later I was sitting in the back patio with Jace. I was reading the paper. On the front cover there was a picture of Sophie and I. The title read "Mayor's daughter found alive!" I smiled. I had spent the last two weeks in town. I spent the time reconnecting with my parents and seeing old friends. Sophie also got a chance to know her grandparents.

Jace kissed my head and got up. He left the patio and went into the yard. Sophie and Stephanie were busy swimming. During the two weeks Jace and I reconnected. By then it was almost as if Jace and I never spent any time apart. It was like we were a real family.

I had planned on retiring from the agency at least for a little while. I was considering moving back to town to be closer to my parents and to raise Sophie. I knew Maia would want to kill me but she would let me. I knew she would understand.

I put the newspaper down just in time to see Sophie running towards me. She jumped excitedly.

"Mommy! Daddy threw me into the pool." I laughed at her. "Are you going to be good for grandma and grandpa tomorrow?" She nodded her was just like my mother the movie junkie. "What are you and daddy going to do?" I stood up and took her hand.

"Daddy and I are going to go house hunting tomorrow." She looked confused b

"Grandma said she would take Stephanie and I to the movies." I rolled my eyes. ut she didn't comment. She suddenly smiled and ran to the pool. Sophie jumped in on the side of the pool where Stephanie was.

"What are you thinking?" Jace asked coming up behind me.

"I think everything is going to be ok." Jace smiled and kissed me.

"Mommy! Look at me!" I looked at Sophie. She was pretending to be a dolphin in the pool. I looked from her to Jace that's when I knew it was going to be ok.

How do you think I should end it. I have few ideas but i'm curious on what y'all want to see!
