Max turned to the door, smiling as she heard the keys. Beth slid inside, smiling sheepishly.

"Did you really wait up for me?" she checked and Max patted the sofa beside her.

"No". She shrugged and Beth curled up in her side like she'd done when she was little. "How was your date?"

"How was your date?" Caroline yelled from the bathroom.

"What is she doing?"

"She's in the bath, waiting up for you". Max rolled her eyes and Beth snickered. "How was your date?"

"It was good". She shrugged. "We had fun".

"How much fun?" Caroline yelled and Beth blushed.

"Caroline!"

"Are you sure she's your kid?"

"Caroline!"

"When did everyone go home?"

"Johnny was the last to leave, he's only been gone half an hour or so". Max shrugged and rubbed Beth's shoulder gently. "I kicked the rest of them out as soon as you left".

"They only do this because they love you!" Caroline shouted.

"Get out of the frickin' bath tub!" Max bellowed.

"Can't believe you let Han stay that long". Beth smirked. "Gettin' soft!"

"Shut up and go to bed". Max pointed and Beth laughed, throwing her arms around her and smacking a sloppy kiss to her cheek. "By the way, is this date going anywhere?"

"We need to get that child on birth control".

"Caroline!" Beth shouted, her face burning.

"Caroline!" Max agreed. "Don't you be telling me if we need to get my kid on birth control!" and she turned to Beth. "We need to get you on birth control".

"Max!"

"We love you!"

"Oh my God, I'm going to bed". And Beth slammed her door behind her, making the whole apartment shake.

"She's a good girl", Caroline called. "Sometimes".

"She is a good girl".

"Can't believe she's your kid".

"Get out of the frickin' bath!"
