"So, how did everything go master? I'm assuming good since everyone came back in once piece."

Makarov tilted his head back and took a large swig of the mug of ale he was helping himself too, letting out a pleased sigh when the bitter liquid slid down his throat. He gazed out at his guild hall, from his spot, on top of the bars counter, at the many children running around playing and fighting amongst themselves; he was especially pleased to see the dragon children among those that were running and playing before turning his head to look at the young purple haired man who questioned him, "aye. Everything is fine, at least for the moment, Macao."

The man named Macao raised a brow before taking a drink of his own beverage. He too turned his head to gaze out at the many children running around; Natsu, Lucy, Wendy and Lisanna were all huddled in their own little corner, all three dragons showing off their magics to the young white haired take-over mage while she cheered and clapped. Gray and Gajeel were sitting at their own table seeming to have an arm wrestling match against each other, Sting was chasing Levy, Jet, Droy, Max, Laki, and Rogue around the hall, all of them laughing as they leapt over tables and chairs and sometimes an innocent bystander who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Laxus was being his moody teenager self, his posy not far behind him, Cana was at her own table playing with her cards and of course dead center of the guild was Erza and Mira who were busy butting heads and throwing out lame insults at each other, poor Elfman just off to the side of his big sister trying to calm her down with no luck at all; his eyes finally stopped at a table that housed his best friend, Wakaba, who was busy hooting and hollering at the woman dancing on the table for the rest of the older members who were paying attention to her. Macao felt his cheeks turn slightly hot as he stared at the woman before he cleared his throat and looked back at the master, "anything we should be concerned about?"

Makarov took another swig of his drink then sighed as he closed his eyes, "at the moment, no, but I am still concerned about who the tip came from. My old friend on the council confirmed my suspicions about where it came from and I was right to assume that it wasn't anybody from town. However, he was able to tell me that it was somebody from Oak Town that sent in the complaint and that alone has me on high alert." Makarov opened his eyes again gazing out to his guild hall before turning to look at Macao, "I didn't tell the kids what I found out today and I don't plan on it at all. They've gone through enough for one day and I don't want to alarm them with this new information. However, I want you to let everyone else know to keep an eye out for anything suspicious around town and to report to me immediately."

Macao nodded his head, "understood, master. Those kids have just as much right to be here as anybody and I know we were all pretty upset about what happened, all of us were willing and waiting to jump up and defend those kids with all we have. No way in hell we were gonna let them get kicked out of town."

Makarov smiled and patted the young man on the back, "thank you my boy, now go on, I've been watching you eyeball that pretty lady dancing ever since you walked over." the old man howled with laughter when Macao sputtered and his face flamed, "S-S-S-SHUT… THAT'S NOT…" Macao closed his eyes tight and cleared his throat, "w-whatever old man…" before walking away, grumbling the whole way. Makarov chuckled once more taking a hefty swig of his ale, exhaling obnoxiously once he gulped down enough, "nothing quite like a cold drink after a long day." he sighed happily as he gazed around the guild hall once more.

"GAJEEL! WHAT THE CRAP!"

Makarov looked toward the male ice dragon who was slowly picking himself up off the floor after being flung into the wall, "gihi, ain't my fault ya can't handle a little arm wrestlin', runt." Gajeel taunted while crossing his arms over his chest, his metallic scales glittered with the light from the hall.

"RUNT! WHO THE HELL YOU CALLIN' RUNT, RUST BUCKET!" Gray roared as he jumped up on his feet, his tail was swishing madly from side to side showing just how irritated he was.

The old guild master just sighed while closing his eyes knowing that a brawl was about to begin.

"AHA HA HA HA! OH MAN! CAN'T BELIEVE YOU JUST GOT BEAT BY GAJEEL! WAYDA GO ICE PRINCESS!" Natsus' rowdy laugh echoed throughout the guild hall causing Gray to grit his teeth as he turned and bared his fangs at the fire dragon, "why don't you come say that to my face fire crotch!" Gray clenched his claws at this sides, completely forgetting about Gajeel, for the moment, as he matched Natsu, glare for glare, the entire guild had paused whatever they were doing to watch the two bicker back and forth already prepared for what was to come next, you could actually see Sting with a giddy happy smile as he quickly bounced up and down on his talons just waiting to join in, "I'd gladly come say it too your face but you're too dumb to understand anything!" Natsu taunted back, "OH YEA!" Gray yelled feeling his temper completely flare up, "how could somebody who's got coals for brains even know how to throw out an insult!"

"WHAT!?" Natsu jumped up on the table that he and the girls were sitting at, not even looking as they all scooted their chairs backwards while looking up at him with wide eyes, trying their hardest to stifle their giggles as they moved their gazes back and forth between the two younglings, "YOU HEARD ME MATCH STICK, BRING IT ON!" Gray roared as he got into a fighting stance, his tail swished faster, it almost made him look like an excited puppy, in anticipation for the brawl.

Natsu let out a small roar of 'GLADLY' before his talons dug into the table, leaving six long gashes where he was standing, to help him jump straight to the ice dragon with a flaming clawed hand at the ready. Gray quickly brought his arms up in a X shape to block the attack while he dug his talons into the wooden floor boards to stop skidding backwards. Gray lowered his arms and glared at the red dragon now in front of him, "HA! THAT ALL YOU GOT, FLAMEBRAINS!" and with that last taunt Gray launched himself at Natsu, tackling the red dragon to the floor while they spun and rolled in different directions; anybody in their way was unfortunately not fast enough to flee before they too were pulled into the brawl. It didn't take long before there was a large ball of bodies fighting amongst themselves and Sting finally shouted 'YES!', jumping headlong into the fray while tightly gripping Rogues wrist with his tail to make him join too, Gray made sure to pull Gajeel into it as well so he could get off a few punches to the iron jerk for throwing him against the wall.

Makarov sighed again, dodging a chair as it flew past him, he would let this one slide. Those kids need to cut loose after the day they've had.

"Master, do you want me to break them up?"

Makarov looked at the red headed mage, along with Mira, Wendy, Lisanna, Lucy, Levy, Cana and Elfman, who decided that being next to him was the safest spot. Makarov simply shook his head, "no, it's fine dear. Let them have fun, it's been a long day for all of us."

Erza nodded once, "very well." she relaxed a bit before a tick mark appeared on her face after she heard Mira tsk, "what could a tin can like you do exactly?" Mira taunted with a smirk. Erza clenched her teeth and balled her fists before turning towards the eldest take-over mage, "a lot more than you could do with your thunder thighs…"

Mira scowled at the insult, "at least you can tell I have thighs, what's with that armor? That your training bra?"

It wasn't long before the girls were butting heads tossing out more lame insults, ready to throw down like the rest of the guild before Makarov enlarged his hand to grab the two and threw them into the pile of brawling bodies, "DON'T FIGHT NEAR THE BAR!" was all Makarov yelled before going back to his drinking.

Lucy, Wendy and Lisanna giggled and went back to playing, Makarov chuckled, these brats were going to be the death of him but he loved every single one of them.

The next day, after everybody helped clean up the mess they made the night before, Natsu and Lucy decided to go off into the East forest by themselves since Mira was making Lisanna and Elfman go on a quick mission with her. Gray and Gajeel were back at the den busily working on a new room, they had decided to let everyone else have fun for the day and do whatever and Sting, Rogue and Wendy were helping Ms. Marie with her shop.

"Natsu?" Lucy called as they walked through the forest enjoying the peacefulness of their surroundings.

Natsu removed his claws from the back of his head to look at Lucy, "yea? What's up Lucy?"

Lucy stopped walking and looked down, her the scales above her brows lowering as she pinched them together while worrying her lower lip with her fang, "what's wrong?" Natsu questioned feeling slightly put off by her behavior.

Lucy closed her eyes and let out a sigh before opening them again to look at the male dragon beside her, "if… if something were to happen, if we were actually forced to leave Magnolia like what happened yesterday-" she paused trying to collect her thoughts before trying again, "if we really had to leave… would you still be my best friend?" Lucy's question surprised Natsu but before he could answer her she continued, "it's just… I love it here, I love our family, I love papa, I love grams, I love our guild and I love you and Lisanna. You two are my best friends and for the longest time I thought it was just going to be me, big brother and Mama Ur but then she disappeared and it was just me and Gray. When you and everyone else showed up at our den that day… I was so happy." Lucy had tears pricking her eyes but she quickly rubbed her eyes with the backs of her talons to keep them at bay, "I don't want big brother and me to lose what we have gained…"

Natsu scoffed and it caused Lucy to look at her red scaled friend with a confused and slightly irritated look, "you weirdo- " Lucy interrupted with a quick 'heeeey' but Natsu just continued, "do you really think that popsicle or even the metal headed freak would let us split apart?"

Lucy thought about it for second while Natsu continued, "it's just like lug nuts said the day before we walked into Fairy Tail, the seven of us are kin now, we are a family, and it don't matter what anybody else thinks or says because that's how it's gonna stay." Natsu flashed Lucy the biggest fanged grin he could muster causing her to smile back in return, "besides," he continued, "ya really think I'd let my best friend just disappear on me?" Lucy couldn't help the giggle that escaped, "I'd track you down no matter where you ended up just to make you stay with me."

Lucy's heart fluttered in her chest for a second but she completely ignored it and gave Natsu a bright smile, "yea, you're right. Best friends forever?" she held her clawed hand out towards him instantly feeling his much warmer claws wrap around hers, "best friends forever, Luce."

Feeling more at ease after her talk with her friend, Lucy couldn't help the mischievous smile that slowly crept onto her face. Natsu felt a chill run down his spine, one that had nothing to do with the type of dragon Lucy was, before he hesitantly asked, "what is it?"

Completely catching him off guard, Lucy quickly spun around and used the leverage she had while holding onto his claws to quickly throw the fire dragon in the air with as much strength as she could muster. She watched him let out a loud screech as he tumbled through the air and flailed his arms before she sucked in a large amount of air, "ICE DRAGONS-" she started, watching as Natsu righted himself and shot his wings out to help him slow down his descend. His eyes widened once he seen what she was preparing to do, "ROOOOOAR!" Lucy finished unleashing a massive columned breath of snow and ice straight towards the fire dragon.

Natsu had just enough time to quickly throw up a wall of fire before her attack hit him head on as he continued to fall to the ground. Once his talons were back on land he growled loudly before throwing a glare at the hysterically laughing ice dragon, "WHAT THE HELL LUCY! That was a cheap shot."

Lucy was clutching her stomach as tears rolled down her scaled cheeks, "AHAHAH! Y-YOU…YOU SHOULD'VE SEEN YOUR FACE A-AND YOU SCREAMED LIKE A GIRL!"

Natsu felt his face flush brightly before he growled again and launched himself at the ice dragon, "I DIDN'T SCREAM LIKE A GIRL! I'LL SHOW YOU!" he roared as he tackled Lucy to the ground, Lucy was a bit caught off guard but quickly righted herself so that she could shove her talons onto Natsus' stomach and kicked the other dragon off her, throwing him over her head as she quickly jumped to her feet.

Natsu had put a clawed hand down to push off the earth once she kicked him to right himself again so that they were standing in battle stances before one another.

Natsu smirked, "you sure you wanna do this Lu~" he taunted, "you know I'm much stronger than you and that ice bastard, you wouldn't stand a chance." His smirk only grew once she started growling at him, "I'll show you who's stronger!" she yelled before running at the red dragon.

"Rooooooogue…where are we going? I wanna go back to the guild, me and Jet were gonna race to see who was the fastest in the guild~"

Rogue was dragging Sting behind him as they made their way through Magnolia only getting more and more annoyed as the light dragon continued whining, "we promised grandmother Marie that we would help in her shop today, it's our day anyways."

Sting paled and he quickly turned around in a lame attempt at running away but seeing as Rogue had his tail firmly wrapped around his middle all he could do was face plant on the ground and whine some more, "but Gajeel and Gray said we could all have a day off after what happened yesterday~" he started trying to dig his claws into the rocky pavement he was being dragged across but it wasn't helping him one bit, once Rogue has a clear goal he will do everything in his power to achieve it and NOTHING can stand in his way, "do you really want to let grandmother down Sting?" Rogue looked over his shoulder at the white dragon he was dragging along behind himself, "…no…" he heard the muffled defeated pout of Sting, "then we must help her. She must be super busy after having her shop closed for majority of the day to be with us yesterday and I feel it's only fair that we repay her kindness and help her. It's the least we could do for everything she's done for us, don't you agree?"

He heard Sting sigh and couldn't help the smirk that made its way to his face, he won, and he knew it, "…yeeeees… I agree. It still sucks though and why do Natsu and Lucy get to play and have fun? Even Wendy gets to chill with Erza and eat cake… I want cake…" Sting pouts as he finally stands up.

Rogue rolls his eyes, "do you not remember the last time you tried to take a piece of Erzas' strawberry cake?"

Sting felt a shiver crawl down his spine, "I don't ever want to see that again…"

Would you look at this… two stories get a chapter… I think I might be spoiling you guys and getting your hopes up lol

Nooooo, this is just another one that I had started a while ago and just decided to quickly finish as well.

I don't have anything else started now so it's literally going to be a when I can start working on one I will but I'm definitely not going to promise when it will be out.

On another note, I'm not sure if you guys noticed but Ice and Fire has a new cover photo. Those wonderful drawings are from an amazing lady named: Kayorin Gale and her tumblr name is: tistrarite. She drew up these amazing pics giving us an amazing idea at how Lucy and Gray look in the story and I absolutely LOVE THEM!

I've been really into My Hero Academia lately and I've noticed the lack of stories for it which brings me great sadness T_T because I may or may not be totally shipping: dekubaku, dekutodo and dekubakutodo… no shame in my shipping game…

(Clears throat) …sorry bout that…
