Chapter 12

"I can't believe that he could have betrayed me like that after all that I have been through, I guess I should have seen it coming he was never ready for the responsibility of a parent" Conner thought to himself while sitting on top of mount justice, he sat there looking onto the bay trying to gather his thoughts about the last one and a half months when things started going downhill for him and the relationship with his "dad".

His thoughts were interrupted when Nightwing came to check on him," Hey Kon" Nightwing greeted," Look dude I know that you have been going through a lot these past couple of weeks and don't worry Batman didn't tell me anything but I can see that you're not yourself these past couple of months and I know from experience that talking to someone really helps." Nightwing said sitting down next to Superboy.

Superboy didn't know what to say but he knew that he needed to talk to someone but Nightwing was no that person, "Thanks Nightwing but I just need to be alone right now please" Superboy pleaded not even looking at Nightwing.

"Ok Kon I'll respect your wishes, but I think this belongs to you." Nightwing said handing Conner his black t-shirt with the house of El insignia on it.

"Thanks, but that symbol means nothing to me, it wasn't mine to begin with in the first place" Conner said bringing his knees up to his chest.

Nightwing was lost for words he didn't know what to do so he just decided to walk away he knew nothing he could say would change Conner's mind.

Its wasn't even 5 minutes later when Supergirl showed up in front of Conner, "Hey kiddo" Kara greeted before taking a seat next to the younger kryptonian, both of them sat there in silence for sometime till Kara felt that she had to try and at least try and get the kid to talk to her, "Kon I can understand why your mad at him but cutting him out of your life is a bit drastic don't you think?" Kara asked waiting for a response from the boy of steel who just sat there like a statue not moving at all, "Ok Conner I get it you don't want to talk about him but what I don't get is why you wont talk to me, did I do something to upset you?", Kara asked just trying to get a response out of the younger kryptonian.

Conner really didn't want to upset Supergirl she was like a big sister to him, "No I'm not mad at you I just don't feel like talking to anyone." Conner said while still just staring out into the bay and watching the waves crash onto the beach beneath them.

"Ok that's fair I guess" Kara said standing up but at the same time Conner spotted a long red cape wave in the wind to the left of him, and it couldn't be Kara cause she's standing right in front of him and her cape is blowing to the back of her and not the side, and that is when he realised just who it was, "Kal can you please just leave." Conner said while feeling his anger coming back.

"No Kon we need to talk and get this behind us" Clark pleaded with the younger boy who he still saw as his son, Superman saw that Conner was about to object again and this time with a much ruder response, but Clark stopped him before he could get one word out, "No! Kon-EL we are going to talk this out now even if it means I have to drag you by your neck which I'll gladly do." Superman said using his stern voice which even though he will not admit it scared the living day lights out of Conner.

After the realisation that he was not going to get out of this talk the boy of steel finally stood up and for the first time in over a month looked at Superman but was not greeted by the familiar sight of Superman's well-kept hair and no facial hair but was rather met with the completer opposite "Wow rough night?" Conner asked sarcastically.

Without answering Conner Clark looked at Kara, "Do you mind telling the other Conner is with me and not to worry?" Clark asked Kara, and before she could even answer Superman and Superboy were gone with a gust of wind.

To be continued.
