Something I want to try with Cedric and Harry in a fic. This can be seen as slash or friendship.

Two Champions

Summary: Arriving back at Hogwarts after the graveyard, Harry still in thought Cedric is gone after the killing curse. He didn't know that it missed and Cedric is in fact alive is relieve to see the younger boy is alive and well.

Sounds of people talking stirs Cedric awake as he open his eyes seeing blurrily. He could make out his parents crying with relief at the words of Madam Pomphrey inform them their son is alive and just had a concussion that knocked him out.

"Harry," he moans wanting to know how the younger boy is doing. He must be frighten and worried sick.

"Son you are alright," Cedric heard his father ask softly rubbing a hand through his hair, tears of joy in his voice.

"Dad he's back! He-Must-Not-Be-Named is back!" Cedric chokes tears fall trembling as the image of chilling green beam about to hit him with the words, 'Kill the spare' runs in his mind.

He could have very well have died but somehow when he moved to the left by tripping over the rock he fallen back hard enough to hit his head and knock him out. He barely remember hearing Harry's shrill cry of his name filled with guilt.

"Cedric it's probably an illusion," Amos Diggory tries to assure his son who glares up at him and he takes a step back just as Professor Dumbledore ushers in one tired Harry Potter still shellshock and in pain.

"It's not! It's true that he's back since he had Pettigrew to kill the spare that was me but I manage to make it out. I want to see Harry to thank him!" Cedric growls earning a shock gasp and he looks finding tear filled green orbs gazing at him.

"You're not dead," The relief in Harry's voice breaks many of the room occupants' hearts seeing he was starting to already blame himself for Cedric if he actually been gone.

Cedric struggles to get out of bed stumbling over to the younger boy pulling him into a hug whispering words of assurance. At that moment Hogwarts had her two champions and one minster of magic stuck between a rock and a hard place having two of them stating Voldemort is in fact alive and back. With Cedric gently running his hands through the younger champion's hair in comfort Harry explains the ritual that brought Voldemort back in his body to when he escape grabbing Cedric and the portkey cup. When one Madam Bones came in the two boys given the memories what happen along with previous memories of the confession when Peter Pettigrew given of betraying the Potters and freeing Sirius Black at the same time.

It been only then the two boys could rest after their ordeal. Not wanting to be alone Harry holds on tightly to Cedric's shirt with pleading eyes for him to sleep by his side. Cedric still on high protective feeling agrees holds on to the younger boy until they fallen into a restful sleep.
