AN: Alright, I'm slowly getting back into the Paw Patrol episodes. I'm almost done with Season 7 and I can get to season 8. Hard to believe this shows have been around for eight seasons. Most kids shows don't get that. The voices have now gotten more normal for me. While I do miss the old voices (Season 2 to 5 the most) I've gotten used to these new ones. Yes I know about Rex, but I haven't seen his episodes yet.

Disclaimer: I don't own Paw Patrol

Marshall couldn't help but feel this was all his fault. The demon wanted him, but instead of going straight for him he went for Ryder. Now his life was at stake and Marshall didn't know what to do. It was obvious that it was a trap and that if Marshall went alone his life was all but forfeit. That didn't mean the demon would keep his end of the bargain, however, and let Ryder go without a scratch. That was, if he was even still alive.

The only thing Marshall could do was contact the one person who knew demons most: Travis.

"He won't honor his bargain," Travis said on the big screen from his tower. He turned completely serious after the team told Travis what had happened. "No demon ever honors their deal. There is always a price or a catch. The only way you can ever get them to fully not screw you is if you know their true name, but we don't have time to figure that out."

"Wait, demons have true names?" Marshall asked, tilting his head. "As in more than one?"

"Yes," Travis explained. "Demons and Angels' real names are only given to those who they trust or have dominion over them. The names we use are just placeholder names. Fake names to inspire terror and fear. Some names we even make up for them. However, their true names allow us to give power over them. Because names are power. It's their identity. Their being. Their very soul. Have you ever heard of the Ars Goetia?"

The dogs shook their heads.

"It was a rare magical grimoire that was said to contain the true names and means of controlling seventy-two demons from hell. Baal, Asmodai, Belial, Astaroth, Ose and more. If you can say the demon's true name they are bound to serve you without any repercussions until you banish them. How do you think Satan really keeps all of hell's forces under his control without rebellions? He knows them all."

"I don't suppose we know of this demon's true name?" Chase asked.

"No, and we wouldn't be able to find it in less then a day. Finding a true demon's name takes years."

"So what do we do?! We can't just let Ryder die!" Chase argued, stomping his paw on the ground. "Ryder has been our leader, owner, and father figure our entire lives! He's always been there for each of us! We can't just leave him to whatever evil that demon is going to pull him through!"

"But we can't risk Marshall's life either! That would be just as bad!" Rubble shouted.

"It's my fault," Zuma whispered, lowering his head. "If I wasn't in that mess..."

Rocky walked over and nuzzled his best friend. "Don't beat yourself up. You couldn't have known it would happen. Besides, we all knew there was a risk of this happening."

"What if we try searching for Ryder now? Before the time limit?" Skye offered.

"The mountains are huge, Skye. It would take us days to search it all," Chase pointed out. "Plus, even if we did do that he'll notice us with our vehicles. I mean a pink helicopter is going to get anyone's attention. Especially a supernatural being."

"So what you're saying is we're screwed," Zuma muttered.

Marshall bit his lip and lowered his head. Maybe I should surrender myself. I can't let the others suffer. The team has lost too much because of me. Jake. Everest. I'm not going to add Ryder to that list.

"Look, I'm going to head back to Adventure Bay as soon as I can. I might not get there until tomorrow. So until I arrive do not do anything," Travis warned before cutting the feed.

"Like hell we will," Chase said, shaking his head. "Ryder is part of Paw Patrol. We've dealt with bad situations before so we can deal with this."

"How?" Rocky asked, rubbing his head. "In case you forgot, Chase, we're dealing with a living breathing creature from the depths of hell that has the power to freeze our bones and shatter them!"

"He's already killed Everest and Jake," Rubble pointed out. "And you saw the damage their home was like. Imagine what he could do to us!"

"Nothing can't be solved without a good plan, Rubble," Chase said, growling. "We just need to think of one."

Marshall, making his decision, stepped forward and addressed his friends. "Guys, there isn't going to be any plan. I'm going to give myself up to the demon."

The others gasped. "Marshall! He'll kill you!" Rubble pointed out.

"I know," Marshall said with a sad smile. "But I can't risk you guys dying like Everest and Jake did. This is all because of me. Even if it means I die, I'll at least die peacefully knowing you guys are safe."

"What if he doesn't agree to the bargain?" Chase pointed out. "You heard what Travis said. Demons always have a catch!"

"...I'll think of something," Marshall confessed.

"No, if you're doing this, we're doing this together," Chase said, stepping forward.

"But the note said-"

"Screw the note," Chase growled. "If this demon wants a piece of us he's going to get all of us. We'll bring Marshall alright, but we're going to bring a bit of surprise of our own."

"You have an idea?" Rocky asked.

"Yeah," Chase said, grinning. "We're going to not just give him Marshall, but the heat as well."

"I don't understand," Marshall asked, tilting his head.

"Look, this guy is an ice demon, right? It's like those RPG games we play. When facing a monster with an element, you use a spell opposite of that element to defeat it! We just need to use fire to beat, or at least wound, the demon and we'll be able to get Ryder and run like hell!" Chase explained.

"I don't know, Chase," Rocky hestiately replied, "I think maybe we should wait for Travis and get his input. He's dealt with this stuff more then us."

"We can't risk that! Every second wasted might mean the difference between life and death for Ryder!" Chase argued. "Guys, trust me! This will work!"

The others looked at each other one by one before nodding. Chase had proven himself time and time again to be just as good as a leader as Ryder. They trusted him and if there was a way to save Ryder then they would do everything they could despite the odds.

"Okay, so what's the plan? You said fire was the weakness does that mean we're going to use some kind of modified flame weapons?" Rubble asked.

"Yeah, we'll have to work through the night to get it all done, but here is what I propose," Chase said as he walked over to the main computer and started typing things in. A few minutes later, a series of designs and plans were appearing as Chase explained his plan. "Half of us are going to go to the mountains with Marshall and present him to the demon. Meanwhile, the other half will be sneaking close to us, but out of sight, for an ambush. We'll also be equipped with flame based weaponry to help us. We'll take Marshall's dog pack, plus all the extras we have, and modify them so that instead of shooting water they become modified flamethrowers instead."

"I don't think just flamethrowers are going to do it, Chase," Marshall said.

"Yeah, which is why we're going to have the ambushers throw one of the hottest explosives around that can melt even steel! Thermite!"

"Thermite?!" The others shouted with jaws wide open.

"Chase, Thermite is one of the most dangerous fuels out there! We're talking about the stuff that makes incendiary bombs for the military?!" Rocky shouted, throwing his paws in the air. "Do you know how long that stuff takes to make to begin with?! We don't have the time to make that!"

"We're not going to make it," Chase said, grinning. "We're going to borrow it. Ryder still has those contacts in the military bases nearby. They owe us a lot of favors. I say it's time we cash them in."

"I don't know, Chase," Skye whimpered. "Thermite is really dangerous. Can we even handle that much?"

"We can't leave anything to chance, Skye," Chase said, shaking his head. "Especially if this demon is as powerful as Travis says it is. If you guys have an alternate solution, I'd be happy to hear it." The others looked at each other and sighed. Despite the clear uncertainty each of them was showing, they didn't have any other ideas. "Good, now there is one last advantage we have."

"What's that?" asked Zuma before the elevator came up with Robodog floating inside. He zoomed over and sat next to Chase. "Robodog?"

"Yup," Chase said as he turned to Robodog. "Robodog? Activate Hologram Illusion M-02."

Robodog barked before he started to glow blue. The team watched in awe as Robodog had a blue ring surround him before it expanded to show a near perfect duplicate of Marshall. Rocky smacked his head. "Of course! I forgot that Ryder added that feature recently."

"Woah. It's a duplicate of me!" Marshall said, tapping on Clone Marshall's nose and feeling the steel of Robodog's true metallic skin. Robodog barked like he always did but it looked kinda silly hearing it from Clone Marshall's voice. "He still sounds and feels like Robodog though."

"Robodog is going to pretend to be Marshall with Rocky, Zuma, and Rubble escorting him," Chase explained. "Meanwhile, the real Marshall, Skye, and I will be sneaking from behind with our thermite. Once we got Ryder, we'll use them to cause damage or a distraction and we head for our vehicles before driving right back to town."

"I guess this could work," Rubble said, trying to be optimistic. "But can we pull it off?"

"Guys, we're the Paw Patrol. We've dealt with natural disasters, aliens, dinosaurs, super powered bad guys, all kinds of creatures, criminal gangs, and more," Chase said with a smile. "We're a team that can do anything. We can save Ryder. And we're all going to come home together." He put his paw in the middle of the group and grinned. "Paw Patrol Forever?"

The others looked at each other before grinning. One by one they put their paws on top and howled. "Paw Patrol Forever!"
