For any who is knew Ash Ketchum, they would know that he is never one for shopping. So it will come to them as a shock when Ash is seen shopping with a girl without bearing any pained or bored expression on his face. In fact, he seemed happy and in content, most probably due to the pretty girl next to him that is currently holding his hand. Any bystander would speculate their relationship, being romantic partners would often be their first guess. However that is not important. What IS important is the dilemma Ash is in.

Staring at Sabrina who was busy choosing a pair of negligees, Ash felt his face started to heat up and turning into the familiar shade of crimson red when Sabrina chose the more revealing one. Her eyes met his and in an instant Ash looked away, looking as if he was not interested at what Sabrina is doing at all. (Which is a lie) Sabrina smirked internally, she really enjoy teasing Ash. Seeing his flustered expression and that darn cute blush on his cheeks really makes her satisfied, as if SHE was the only one that could have that effect on him. It made her seem... dominant in someways, as kinky as it sounds. Pushing that thought aside, Sabrina stared at Ash who was busy staring at the ceiling above him, looking very interested. At times like these, Sabrina felt that Ash knows that she was teasing him, which begged the question again. Is Ash really that dense? Or is he not as dense as people think? Especially for a 10 year old...

Time to test the waters.

"You think this would look good on me Ash?" Using an innocent voice, Sabrina placed the negligee on top of her body, hugging her curves perfectly. She fluttered her eyes and blinked them in a cute manner to rile him up even more. She held back a laugh when Ash stammered out his reply with pikachu giving his trainer a smug and knowing look.

"U-Uh yeah, it's looks g-great on you." Nodding in satisfaction, Sabrina grabbed onto Ash's hand again and went to the counter to pay for her nightwear. Ash was quiet the entire time, not knowing what to say or do in his current situation. Did he know Sabrina is teasing him? Maybe, the unusual red blush on his cheeks were a good enough indication. He didn't look bored shopping with Sabrina and instead he looked interested. Especially on Sabrina's choice of clothing, be it her casual clothes, swimsuits and even her nightwear, Ash was very interested in them. It didn't help the fact Sabrina keep asking his opinion about her choice of clothing, and the tone she used... well let's just say Ash never felt that pleasant shiver down his spine like that before.

"Ah buying clothes with your boyfriend?" The cashier asked politely, she keep glancing at Ash who stood behind Sabrina rather closely, he was well aware of the stares of the other females in the room. It was awkward for any guy to enter the clothing store for girls. Nonetheless, Ash found the experience not so bad this time, for reasons.

Sabrina blushed just slight before replying.

"No he's just a friend." Giving her a skeptical nod, the cashier placed Sabrina's newly bought clothing into a bag and hand it to her.

"So Ash where to now?" Honestly, anywhere is fine with Ash. I mean anywhere serving food is often a plus so...

"How about the food court?" She rolled her eyes at Ash's reply, she already expected that answer. She didn't mind though, she was getting a little hungry herself.

"Sure." Sabrina resumed holding hands with Ash, wanting to take advantage of her current situation as much as possible. Being alone together with him is a rare occasion. She looked around the sea of people as they walked, it's been so long since she went to a public place with many people surrounding her. It felt a little overwhelming but it was a nice change for her.

"Are you enjoying yourself Sabrina?" Ash's sudden questioning caught her off guard, she stared at Ash and gave him her smile that he was accustomed to. It did made her look more beautiful, it brought out the sharp mysterious violet eyes from her and the alluring long purple hair that gave off the sweet lavender scent... pretty much everything about Sabrina is about purple. Not that Ash is against it, purple might be his new favourite colour.

"Yeah I am, thank you for accompanying me Ash. I know you don't like shopping so I really appreciate for shopping with me." Ash tilted his head sideways, it didn't occur to him that shopping was something dreadful or boring. It shocked him, that he actually enjoy shopping with Sabrina. He didn't complain nor did he ever show his dissatisfaction, he did like being around Sabrina. The casual teasing was also a plus. It felt vastly different when he went shopping with Misty. He shuddered at the thought of the explosive red head who shove all her shopping bags to him and expected him to carry for her for the entire day. I mean who the heck is she to order him! Nevertheless, Misty guilt trip him by saying "you must be a gentleman" or "you expect a fragile and delicate Waterflower like me to carry those heavy bags?" you know stuff that cause nice guys like Ash to surrender and give in.

With Sabrina however, not only she didn't boss him around or order him to carry her bags. (she bought only a little) She also promised that she would treat him to ice scream after they are done, what more could he ask for?! Comparing Sabrina and Misty, Ash obviously prefers Sabrina over the aspiring water type master but that's not to say he hates Misty. No he likes her, a lot.

Sure she has her flaws but she also could be a really good friend. He knew that he could count on her to back him up when he needed her to and to get him out of his misery when he is defeated in a pokemon battle. Even if her methods are a little "extreme". Despite her violent behaviour and sassy nature, she is a good friend. There is nothing more (or less) he could say about her. She was like that older sister that disagree with everything you say and bash the crap out of you, but offers you comfort and advice when needed. If he had to describe Misty, it's that. Sabrina however is a little different.

Sabrina to Ash, is a girl who just opened her eyes in a very long time. Not having experience emotions for years now, Ash felt the responsibility to make her happy and makes sure she stays that way. She is a girl who needed to be protected, not from physical harm. (Ash was sure she could level the entire city if she wanted to) But instead from emotional hurt. He wanted her to be happy always and would do what he can for her, he often questioned himself why he should be the one to do it, but he always ended up with the same conclusion.

Sabrina is his friend, and he would do what he can to make her happy as cliche as it sounds. That willingness caused them to be close, sharing stories and secrets with each other. It really gladdens Ash to see Sabrina express herself to him, he could see the real Sabrina when she commands her pokemon. The glint of determination in her eyes and the tone she used was both of confidence and positivity. He was amazed by her and seeing her dominating her opponents in battle was something mesmerizing. He could go on and on about how awesome and great Sabrina is of a person but it would take the whole day...

Looking back at Sabrina, Ash shook his head and smiled at her.

"There's no need to thank me Sabrina, I don't mind shopping with you." Giving him a smile of her own, the two continued to walk to the food court, their hand still clasped together. The warmth from holding each other hands became all too familiar for the duo.

Upon finishing their lunch, Ash and Sabrina finally met up with the rest of the gang outside the Celadon city mall. Ash of course proudly showed off his newly acquired Rainbow badge to Misty and Brock's faces. He didn't told them about the sandstorm technique he used, he would surprise them on another day.

"Well that's great Ash! Now you are one step closer to your goal of becoming a pokemon master!" Ash nodded enthusiastically with Brock, there is still a long way to go but he would get there someday! No matter how long it takes!

"Yeah, but I wonder how many gym badges Gary collected..." Sabrina thought back to Ash's rival, from what Ash told her, Gary is a huge jerk to him. Snobby, arrogant and cocky, everything she despised. She wasn't sure if meeting him would be a pleasant experience. Heck from what Ash told her, Gary seems like the type of guy that flirts with every girl he meets. A part of her wonders what would Ash's reaction be when Gary decides to flirt with her.

"Oh come on Ash, there's no need to worry about Gary. You already beaten him." The co stared at Brock who gave off a smile, what did he exactly mean that?

"What do you mean Brock?" Brock shook his head and said "nothing", refusing to tell Ash and the rest what he meant. Respecting his friend's decision of keeping it quiet, Ash decided to focus on their next goal.

"So where to Brock?" Brock gingerly pulled out the Kanto region map and eyed their next destination that he marked the day prior.

"Onward to Fuchsia city, home to the Safari zone and the Poison Master Koga. We should make it in 3 days tops." Sabrina couldn't help but frown at Brock's statement, were they always this rushed on their journey? After defeating the gym leader of each city and then move on? It felt empty, she actually wanted to enjoy Celadon's city scenery and go see their attractions before moving on. She stared at Ash, the urge to tell him that she wanted to stay a little longer was there but she didn't say anything. The last thing she wants is to burden the group and slow them down on their adventures. Sometimes she feels like she was the "extra" of the group, the person that no one wants you to come along. Though if Ash knew what she was thinking at this very moment, she knew that he would have fiercely deny all of it and shower her with praises and heartwarming words. That thought alone brought a smile to her face.

"Really? Well let's get moving then!" Ash cheerfully shouted, unaware of Sabrina's desire to stay at Celadon to enjoy what they have to offer. That's when haunter came out from his pokeball, surprising everyone. He hastily snatched Ash's cap and zipped off to a nearby forest, prompting Ash to chase after him.

"Haunter comeback! Give me back my cap!" Haunter paid him no mind and began floated faster away from Ash, with his cap in his ghastly hands. After 10 grueling minutes of chasing his ghost type pokemon down, Ash finally caught to haunter who strangely enough stop at a large clearing, with his cap right in front of him. It kinda looked like haunter was setting up a trap for them, I mean stopping at a large clearing so suddenly with that sinister smile! Even Ash is wary of his haunter's mischievous behavior.

"Haunter *huff* don't do that! Ever again okay?" Haunter nodded with his usual grin on his face. Ash gave out an irritated sigh and went to recover his cap, that's when haunter tapped Ash's shoulders and pointed towards a hill. Curious, Ash followed haunter up the hill and was amazed at what he saw. A large majestic waterfall was gushing before him. Some pokemon could be spotted bathing and playing on the lake. He could see countless trees that provided shade and shelter to the pokemom. It was a paradise for them as berries bushes were plentiful and the place was secluded enough from the threat of poachers.

"Wow... what is this place haunter?" Haunter nodded to himself, all according to Keikaku. Now he just needs to wait for Ash's mind to register "A lot of pokemon here! I'm so hyped" and his mission is complete. It wasn't long before everyone met their way uphill and saw the paradise like land that haunter brought them to. Their pokemon came out spontaneously and everyone were thrilled at the scene. They all awe at the paradise-like land and instantly rushed to meet the pokemon who were playing in the waters. Haunter was just smiling all the way.

"This place is awesome haunter! How did you find it?" Natu wobbled next to the baby azurill who splash at the waters joyfully, happy to see another pokemon.

"Oh you know, I always go out and explore the city at night. I happened to stumble upon this place by accident." Haunter eyed Sabrina who was giggling as a small group of oddish surrounded her and were hopping in delight after seeing her.

"Is that why you took Ash's cap? To bring him to this place?" Kadabra stared at Ash who was talking to a huge looking Flygon, apparently the flygon was the protector of this haven along with a troop of mankeys who stood next to the regal dragon type pokemon. An odd combination but a powerful one nonetheless.

"Yeah sort of, I mean I sensed that Sabrina didn't want to leave Celadon city a few nights before, and with all of the stuff that happened in the gym. I figured that I should do my part and you know, to cheer her up? So last night when I went exploring around I spoke to the Flygon right over there and ask if we could come here, he said yes, so here we are!" The pokemon nodded and was shocked of haunter's thoughtfulness and kind hearted nature. Not bad for a ghost type pokemon.

"Wait how did you know that Sabrina didn't want to leave Celadon?" Haunter wagged his finger at natu and floated next to him.

"Well Sabrina and I have a bond you know? After saving her and all that jazz? I become more mentally linked with her and could sense her emotions, she didn't seemed all too happy to go to Fuchsia city so soon. She kinda have this conflict between telling Ash her desire to stay or just keeping quiet last night. So I decided to do something about it, I do want to make Sabrina happy too you know." Haunter gave out a smirk when the flygon picked Ash up and placed on his back, making Ash laugh in excitement as the gentle flygon soared to the skies with Ash shouting wildly, much to Flygon's delight.

"This place have sooo many water pokemon!" Misty was especially overjoyed with all the different types of water pokemon playing in the waters. There were poliwags, lotads, horseas, spheals and even a corsola who was carrying a baby pidgey on her back. She didn't hesitate to pat them and hug them, they return her affection by hugging her back too.

"They sure are friendly, this place is amazing." Haunter grinned and floated next to Kadabra who was not socializing, not surprising at the slightest.

"Yeah I know right? I was thinking to myself how could I convince Ash to stay a little longer and well pokemon is the right answer." Smirking at his friends cunning ways of thinking, he stared at the "sanctuary" with contemplative eyes.

"So why is a powerful flygon like him doing in Kanto?" Haunter shrugged and eyed eevee who was "protecting" his sister from a group of male pokemon that was trying to woo her. It was funny to watch as eevee shot rapid swifts and newly mastered shadow balls at the group of grown up male pokemon who ran away. Espeon was scowling at her brother's action, but haunter could easily tell she was touched by his protectiveness. He is good at reading pokemon, regardless of their type.

"He said that he came here to look for someone, a pokemon and a friend I suppose. He wasn't really keen on spilling the beans." Flygon came back as Ash dismounted from his back, he stumbled lightly as he try to maintain his balance.

"Haunter knowing you, you have a ulterior motive behind this don't you? Not just to cheer Sabrina up or to make Ash stay a little longer." Kadabra eyed the ghost pokemon who stood a good enough distance away from everyone. Haunter gave out a hearty laugh and slapped Kadabra's back with a grin.

"Hah sharp as ever, well truth to be told there's another reason why I brought group here." Haunter frowned slightly as his mood changed rapidly. His eyes turned into a scary shade of crimson red, something which haunters are known for when agitated or angry.

Kadabra was unfazed by haunter's sudden change of mood, instead he stared at his ghost like friend with cold calmness.

"While it is true I stumble upon this place by accident, I was immediately told by the flygon that lately poaching activities around the area has increased and more of the pokemon that resides in this forest are becoming less and less. Either they migrate to other safer areas of were caught by such poachers, I do not know. But I did have the thought that I should drag Ash into this mess as well, for "reasons".

"Wow how thoughtful." Dismissing Kadabra's sarcastic tone, haunter stared at Ash who was hugging flygon's neck in such an innocent manner. It just adds on the guilt of what he is trying to achieve.

"Did you think I made a mistake? Dragging an innocent child to deal with such dark and brooding things?" Kadabra's cold eyes matched the serious look on his face, he gave off a sigh and showed the tiniest of emotion.

"In some ways yes, but I think exposing Ash to the ugly side of the world right now is most proper. After all, his abilities has started to manifest within him, they would come a time where he has to use them... that's the reason why you want to expose him to the darker side of life right?" Haunter's cold creepy smile was unnerving to say the least.

"Seems like you figure it out huh, it seems whenever Sabrina and Ash get closer, the more his "aura" will flare. I would be lying if I say I'm not the concerned in the slightest. It scares me honestly to see a 10 year old boy having powers he couldn't even understand. That we can't understand." Haunter scratched his chin and turned to Sabrina who sat next to Ash as they were sitting together on the grass while being surrounded by a group of oddishes that danced around them. Their constant giggling and smiles really hid away the powerful abilities they possess.

"The fear of the unknown is always scary, even to a ghost I presume." Haunter scoffed at Kadabra's statement and grinned.

"Do you honestly think it's a good idea for them to-" Kadabra started slowly only to be interrupted by haunter.

"Of course, no question about it. It's not about whether they are compatible anymore, it's about how much they need each other! You've seen how Sabrina needs Ash, separating them would be unreasonable." Haunter's calmly yet hastily told Kadabra there is nothing less about the duo's relationship. They need each other, as simple as that.

"I realize that as well, it's reaching a point where Sabrina can't even sleep without Ash being near her! Well not in the same bed but in the same room." Haunter smirked and settled into a grin, she sure has it bad for him. Images of the last few nights were fresh in Haunter's memory. How Sabrina used the excuse that everyone should share a room so that it would be cheaper than having separate rooms. Eyebrows were raised but in the end Brock being the leader of the group agreed to it.

"Maybe spending too much time with Ash isn't a good idea... I'm worried on how fast they are progressing or at least Sabrina's feelings for Ash. They are growing stronger by the second as we speak." To reinforce his point, Sabrina and Ash shared a laughter as they shoulders were pinned next to each other. It was cute though...

"In good time Kadabra, they would need a room of their own. If you catch my drift." Kadabra scowled as his cheeks turned into a light colour shade of red.

"I prefer not to think about that." Haunter smiled as he stared back at the two, that innocent look on their faces (especially Ash). Honestly he wasn't too keen on dragging Ash to stop poachers or baddies but...

"As much as I want Ash to live in his own world filled with sunshine and rainbows, exposing him to the reality of this world is needed." Kadabra wasn't subtle as he eyed his mistress worriedly, she seemed so happy right now with her shoulder pinned next to Ash's as they played with the baby pokemon. They seemed to be in their own world right now.

"You are referring to Sabrina right? In case she "loses" it?" Kadabra turned to haunter and nodded with his eyes close, he pray hope there wouldn't be a day where Sabrina's power spiral out of control and made her... a monster. It would just scare Ash off, hell it would scare everyone off.

'And she would be alone again...' No! She didn't deserve this, she deserve to be happy.

"If you are worried about Ash abandoning her in her time of need, don't. There's a good reason why aura manifested in Ash, and I'm not sure is it due to his kindness or his loving nature but I'm pretty sure LIFE FORCE itself chose Ash for a darn good reason." I mean balance in all things, he was sure Arceus chose Ash to host aura for a good reason. If it isn't the case, then Arceus is retarded.

"Destiny perhaps?" What? Two souls with incredible powers are destined to be together as they support each other through hardships and tribulations? Sounds like a classic love story to him.

"I'm certain the day she loses it, is the day something happens to Ash... and you should know that WE would do everything in our power to prevent that from happening." Haunter had absolute confidence in his teammates that they have what it takes to safeguard the duo.

"WE may not be enough haunter, and remember if we drag Ash into life threatening situations. His powers might choose to reveal itself right there and then. You know how adrenaline and fight or flight instincts work right?" The worst situations always brings out the best of us, or in Ash's case, his powers.

"Well maybe it's better that Ash realize his powers now, as much as I don't want him to. We can't delay the inevitable forever." Dismissing bulbasaur's nagging in his head, haunter wasn't sure if not involving the rest of the team into this a good idea.

'Then again I never want anyone to realize my schemes, only kadabra was observant enough to notice my ulterior motives...' He was certain that the rest of the pokemon knew that Ash's powers is growing stronger by the minute. IF he can sense it, then there is no doubt that the others can too. They were just playing dumb and being ignorant about it, something which haunter can't stand.

'That means Sabrina must have sense it too, Ash's powers is too raw...' Realizing Kadabra was waiting for him to continue, he quickly replied.

"Besides, maybe Sabrina can help Ash with his unique abilities too. I mean you said it yourself, aura and psychic are similar. Maybe the two can help each other out." Haunter added on as the thought he had just now passed through his mind in seconds.

"Your intelligence astounds me haunter." Haunter smiled wryly.

"Yeah and so much for being a psychic type huh." Kadabra glared at him, he just had to take a jab at him.

"In any case, we should worry for Ash too. I mean he may looked like a scouts boy and is a goody two shoes, but remember this... the brightest light cast the darkest shadow." Haunter only ended it there as the familiar looking smirk vanished and is instead replaced by an unreadable expression.

"You are being over dramatic haunter, you've always been when serious situations like these takes hold. I highly doubt Ash would stray from his path." Haunter shook his head at the certain psi pokemon.

"Power corrupts kadabra, always... why do you think Sabrina was trapped by her own powers in the first place?" Kadabra lowered his gaze to the grass and stared back at Ash, would he end up like how Sabrina was before? Sure it wasn't exactly corruption but Sabrina let her powers took control of her. What would happen if Ash couldn't control Aura?

"So what's the plan?" Haunter sighed, he didn't want to do this but considering the amount of talking he did with kadabra, it had made him realized that this entire thing had just made their lives much more complicated.

'And of course it's me that has to come up with a plan, I know I should have discuss it with the others but bulbasaur being bulbasaur would definitely go against me. Then the rest would follow the leader.' As much he respected the Kanto grass type pokemon, he knew that Bulbasaur is a stubborn and narrow minded person. He was never one for taking risks.

"Get him exposed to the darkness, stop the bad guys, try to unlock his dormant power, ship the hell out of him with Sabrina, have Sabrina become his soulmate and make sure Ash wins the pokemon league. End of the story!" Haunter counted off his fingers as if he was striking a business deal. Kadabra stared at the ghost type and shrugged.

"Sounds easy enough." Haunter smiled widely, he just loves it when Kadabra gets cocky.

"Great, then let's get started." The two gave each other knowing smiles and started to walk towards the two unique individuals.

'Ash a moment?' Ash was surprise to hear Kadabra's voice in his head, he turned his attention away from Sabrina and stared at kadabra who was walking towards him with haunter floating next to him. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something serious is about to unfold him.

'Don't startle Sabrina, haunter and I would like to speak to you in private.' Noting the seriousness in Kadabra's "voice", Ash for once decided to play along and got up.

"Ash? Where are you going?" Sabrina asked as she held one of the oddish in her arms, hearing her voice laced with sweetness and concern really made Ash's heart flutter, though he tried his best not to show it.

"I'm just going to talk to haunter." Sabrina had a confused look on her face but nodded nonetheless. She lingered her gaze on where Ash left off for a few seconds before returning back to pamper the oddish.

Ash hastily walked next to kadabra and haunter who walked further and further, until they are far enough from the reserve. After entering the thick woods, Haunter and kadabra stopped.

'I will be blunt Ash, the reason why we brought you out here is because of this flygon is facing some issues that may need our help.'

"Err okay?"

'Poaching activities have increased as of late, many pokemon had fled from here and migrated to other safer parts of the forest. Haunter met the flygon and he had told him that the paradise land they roam is being threatened. We were suggesting that we should intervene and help the flygon out. I would like to know what is your thoughts on this matter?' Ash remained quiet and stared at kadabra with an unreadable expression. Haunter stared back at Ash and wasn't sure what to make of it.

'He's not going to say no right? It's in his nature to help people.' Haunter was concerned that they broke Ash, normally Ash would be all cheerful and determined and say yes to helping people. But now he seems like he is contemplating his decision.

"Oh course I will help but I have a feeling that you guys aren't telling me the whole truth." Ash's determined tone was mixed with carefulness, almost as if he was choosing his words carefully. Now that definitely caught haunter and kadabra off guard. Kadabra stop breathing for a second as he stared at Ash with his eyes narrowed. How did Ash knew that they weren't telling him everything?

'What makes you think we aren't?' Kadabra answered back coldly, he doesn't have anything against Ash but he was concerned how unreadable Ash is.

"Well uh, I just have this gut feeling that's all." Haunter was more intrigued now, sure Ash always acted on his feelings and emotions rather than thinking logically but Ash sounded more confident this time. Almost as if he KNOWS that his instinct is right.

'Could this be the work of aura? Even the most veteran psychics need to manually activate their powers to see if someone is lying, what if Ash's power surpass that? What if it's really part of him, part of his body? Like a gut instinct?' Haunter continued to stare at Ash who's cap was held in his hands.

'It's true, we aren't telling you the whole truth, look Ash. Haunter and I don't take pride in doing this but it's for you own good and for Sabrina's. It's going to sound complicated but since I just read Haunter's mind just now-' Haunter suddenly felt a chill down his back.

'-I have decided to inform you of the power you wield. It's best that we get this across to you.' Confusion was piling on top of more confusion, Ash stared a Kadabra who sighed. Kadabra stared at Ash and glowed his eyes briefly.

"Kad? What the hell you just do?" Ash was surprised that he could hear Haunter's voice.

"I just temporarily gave Ash the ability to understand pokespeech, nothing too fancy." Kadabra spoke cooly.

"Then why the heck you didn't do this earlier!" Though deep down, haunter was very impressed of Kadabra's skill.

"Oh quiet you, I just mastered this and it's best to keep this discreet." Ash blinked his eyes, he could understand the pokemon! Haunter stop bickering with Kadabra and looked at his trainer filled with anxiety. How is he going to explain to Ash that he is potentially the most dangerous person in the planet?

'Alright, let's keep it simple and short.'

"Look Ash, I know it sounds weird but hear me out. You control the ability of aura, you know what's aura? Of course you don't, neither do I or the rest of the pokemon. But aura is basically psychic power, but instead of psychic type it's fighting type, or something along those lines." Kadabra shook his head at Haunter's made up explanation of Ash's power.

"O-Okay?" Haunter sighed and floated next to Ash and placed his hand on his shoulder.

"What I'm trying to say is, that you control an immeasurable amount of power that lies dormant in you. It's dangerous, very dangerous. When Sabrina joined us for our journey, we could already sense your dormant power but it was faint, we talk about it but we thought nothing about it. Now, I could sense it even when you are asleep, and you know that I know that you know that Sabrina knows what I know, you know?" Ash stared at Haunter with a very confused expression.

"Haunter! Don't confuse the poor child!" Kadabra smacked his spoon on Haunter's back.

"I know! I know! But look jokes aside. What I said is true, we are worried for you Ashy boy. You know a 10 year old kid wielding such incredible power? I'm worried that something might happen to you and you would attract unwanted attention." Ash kept quiet and stared his at hands, did he really possess such powers? Sure he feels a bit weird lately, not the bad kind but the good kind. As if he was more in tune with nature and everything that surrounds him.

"I- I don't what to say, do I really have some kind of power?" Kadabra nodded and sat on the log next to Ash.

"Yes you do, but rephrasing back on what haunter just said. You and Sabrina are no different, both of you are special people with special gifts... and I think what haunter said just now is true."

"What is?" Ash cocked his aside curiously. Kadabra sighed and rubbed his temples.

"That Sabrina knows." Ash was mortified at the revelation, wait mortified? Why would he be mortified, it's just Sabrina!

"I-Is it bad?" Kadabra and haunter both shrugged at the same time.

"Nah I don't think so, in fact I think it's good. I said that psychic and aura are similar right? Well maybe you can ask Sabrina to teach you on how to control your powers."

"Control them? I don't want to use them!" Ash shouted defiantly.

"Ash calm yourself. There might be a day where you are forced to use them, if not for yourself for others. Even if you don't use it, it might choose to reveal itself when you are in a situation that is peril most dire." Haunter simply bobbed his head up and down.

"But- I mean, I don't want to hurt anyone with it." Haunter smiled and patted his back.

"Then learn how to control it! So you would never lose control of it! Besides, don't you think it would make Sabrina feel better too?"

"Huh what do you mean?" Even Kadabra is curious on what Haunter meant.

"Think about it Ash! Sabrina is psychic, in the eyes of her parents and even you, she is special. In the eyes of the public, she is a monster. Don't you think that you having powers similar to hers makes her feel more reassured? That she isn't the only kid with powers! That both of you can support and rely on each other? You know having something in common makes her feel better of her situation?" Ash haven't thought about that, but he knew what haunter said is true. That Sabrina would feel happier and safer with someone going through the same thing. That reason alone might be able to convince Ash to learn how to control his powers.

"I guess you have a point..." Ash wanted to say more, but he ended at there.

"Ash right now all I need you to do is to confront Sabrina about it. We will tell the rest of the pokemon about your situation. All you have to do is to talk to Sabrina. I'm very certain that she already knows about your dormant power, so it won't be TOO awkward when you decide to break the ice." Kadabra could already imagine how awkward for Ash to run up to Sabrina and shout "Hey I have powers similar to yours! Can you teach me how to control them?!"

"Does it have to be today?" Ash asked in timid voice, which really is unlike him.

"Well just do it as soon as possible, not today but tonight." Ash glared at haunter who smiled cheekily, haunter really did like it when Ash understands him. He was too much fun to tease.

"A-Alright then, I trust you guys on this one." A toothy grin from haunter reassured Ash's doubts, he stared at the two mystical pokemon and a question began resurfacing back to his mind.

"But wait! What does me having "aura" have to do with the poachers?" Haunter smiled wryly, he was hoping Ash forgets about that part and just roll with it should the time comes. With a sigh, haunter spoke filled with raw emotions.

"To prepare you Ash. I don't know what sort of powers gift bestowed upon you but I'm sure it's something very similar to psychic. My fear is that you might become like Sabrina should you not control your powers and welllll, I don't think she wants her savior to go through the things she did." Ash nodded wordlessly and continued to listen to haunter.

"To be frank with you, I'm also scared if Sabrina loses herself again, trapped under her own powers so to speak. When that time comes, I hope you have mastered your powers in some form and bring her back to the light again."

"Can't I just make her laugh again? Can't YOU make her giggle or crack some jokes?" Ash shouted loudly with his fists held tight, he was angry but he was mainly worried for Sabrina.

"Ash, the day Sabrina loses herself, is the day where something terrible happens to you. Jokes and pranks means nothing to her without you. YOU make her happy." Kadabra spoke curtly, he wanted to give Ash a CLEAR understanding on how much he means to Sabrina.

"I don't- What does this have to do with the poachers!" Ash shouted again.

'Boy is he fast to change the topic.' Haunter and Kadabra had the exact same thoughts.

"So that you can be ready when you have to use your powers, so that you can see the ugly side of this world and be prepared when provoked. Instincts are telling me that fate gave you those powers for a reason, for noble purposes I hope." Kadabra calming voice managed to calm the agitated 10 year old down.

"Do you get me Ash? We want you to see people who would abuse pokemon, people who would use them as tools and hurt them. I want you to represent the good of humanity and to prove it with your powers. You aren't just a boy who wants to be a pokemon master, you are the chosen one." Haunter spoke dramatically while kadabra was face palming, why does the ghost has to over hype everything and pull something out of his ass?!

"I- I understand now." Haunter blinked his eyes, does Ash really understand what they just told him? That was a lot of things to go through even for an adult, let alone a naive child. He might have even dramatize a bit just to convince Ash.

'Maybe I underestimate Ash when it comes to serious matters. Him being with Sabrina did change him a lot though.'

"I will ask Sabrina about it but please-" He held his cap tight and was scrunching it, with his voice being shaky.

"P-Please treat me as the same Ash like you always do." Haunter could help but "aww" and ran up to Ash to gave him a huge pat on the back.

"Sure thing kiddo! You may have powers but you are still a reckless child that I have to look after!" Ash chuckled when haunter placed his ghastly hand on his shoulder.

"You are who you are Ash, you having powers doesn't change a damn thing. So remember that." The kanto ghost type smiled when Ash gave him a determined nod. He gaze upwards and noticed that it is starting to get late. The talking did take up a lot of time...

"Say Ash." Ash turned to Haunter who grinned at him.

"Hmm?"

"Are you rushing for you next gym battle?"

"Well not really, why?"

"You mind if we stay at Celadon for a few days? You see Sabrina never had the chance to travel before, so she wants to see everything the city has to offer before moving on, you won't mind that won't you?" Ash shook his head, he would have expected Sabrina to tell him of her desire to stay here a little longer. Though he already figured that she was trying not to slow down their pace and doesn't want to be a burden to the group. He would have to fix that in the future. Noting the awkward silence that engulf them, Ash decided to break it.

"Man I always wonder what was it to talk to pokemon, this trick you know is awesome Kadabra." Kadabra puffed his chest out and stroke his mustache proudly.

"Your compliment is well received Ash." Haunter rolled his eyes and let the two back to the main group.

'I really hope you and Sabrina can work it out Ash, you need her as much as she needs you.' Haunter was wise enough to keep that thought to himself.
