AN: So I had to write this for a class assignment, not my best work, but I thought I would post it. Quick one shot on Percabeth!

Disclaimer: I don't own anything Percy Jackson

"Styx." I swear. I was trying to take Annabeth on a date, and of course I get pulled over. But I didn't even speed or anything.

"Nice going Seaweed Brain!"

"Annabeth, I wasn't speeding."

"Uh-huh." My girlfriend says in a disbelieving tone as I pull over to the side of the road. "That's why the cop pulled you over."

"Well, we are in Manhattan, I could be getting pulled over for anything, not just speeding, which I wasn't. Have some more faith in me Wise Girl."

I gave her my 'baby seal face' that I know she can't resist, and she laughs. I looked in my mirror, the cop was pulled up behind me, lights flashing, but no one was getting out. I looked back at my girlfriend. Her stormy gray eyes were standing out, thanks to the sea green dress she was wearing. Her curly blonde hair was cascading down her back, much like a princess, instead of being up in its usual ponytail. She wore no make-up, which I was fine with. She looked amazing without it.

"We might be late for those reservations." I told her.

"We were already late Percy!" She says through her laughter.

I grin sheepishly and look in the mirror again. Still no cop. I look up and down the street I had pulled over on. Empty. I turn to Annabeth and saw she was thinking the same thing. Monster.

"Get ready. It could just be a mortal. We might just be paranoid from the wars."

"Annabeth, I've been sitting here for at least 5 minutes, we have a right to be paranoid. Put on your hat."

She nodded and took her Yankees cap out of her purse, along with her dagger. She slipped the cap on her head and became invisible. I silently thanked Athena she gave power back to the cap.

"Here she comes." Annabeth whispers in my ear. "Ugh… not her. I liked her better as a cheerleader."

I laugh quietly as I pull my pen out of my pants pocket, ready to uncap it in a moments notice. I look in the mirror once more, only this time a lone figure was walking towards our car with a slight limp. It was Kelly.

Kelly was this empousa who just wouldn't stay dead. She showed up at my freshman orientation at Goode High School, where I proceeded to blow up the band room… and she still comes back. Annabeth and I have killed her like 4 times already and it was starting to get old. After 2 wars and Tartarus, I was not going to put up with Kelly. No way.

I uncap Riptide and rolled down my window.

"Perseus Jackson! We meet again-"

She was cut off by the sword in her stomach, and she turned to ash as I drove away.

"Nice shot Percy! Your aim is getting so much better!" Annabeth congratulates me.

"Maybe I'll try archery again."

"No. Not after last time. You sent Thalia to the infirmary with an arrow in her leg!"

"She shouldn't have been in the way!" I defended.

"Percy, she was behind you. On the other side of the camp."

"Okay, point taken. No archery. Just one other thing."

"What's that?" She asked.

"Told you I wasn't speeding. Apologize please."

She threw her head back in laughter. She kissed my cheek in an apology and I smiled as I reached into my pocket. Sure enough, there was Riptide. As if it had never left. Man I love that pen.

AN: So nothing big, or good really. For those of you reading my PJ/HP crossover, I'm working on the next chapter! It's a bit complicated. I keep forgetting to add things in so I have to backtrack. Check out my other stories! Bye!
