Connor couldn't and wouldn't admit it to anybody – not even Harry –, but he was nervous. Harry looked over at him and gave him that illegal smile that made Connor melt and feel as if the world was going to be okay just because Harry had smiled at him. However, he was nervous because now he had to introduce Harry to his – dare he say it – friends. Somehow, Wes, Laurel, Asher, and even little-miss-too-perfect Michaela had become his closest friends. Harry had wanted to meet them and Connor couldn't possibly say no to the man that did wonderful things to him whenever he wanted his way. So, here they were, at a pub for law students about to meet Connor's friends.

"Hey Connor! Over here!" Connor turned around with Harry to see Asher waving at him. Rolling his eyes at his colleagues enthusiasm, he and Harry moved towards the small table through the crowd. "Hey guys." Connor said with fake enthusiasm. He noticed Wes had brought Rebecca and Michaela had brought Aiden. Everyone said hello back and subtly looked at Harry, waiting for Connor to introduce him. Rolling his eyes at his boyfriend's nervousness, Harry spoke in his baritone voice. "It's very nice to meet you all. I am Harry James and yes, I do hail from Britain." He spoke ironically but smiled at all of them. "So, are all of you planning on continuing in this branch of law? I've heard it can be very tough." Immediately, Harry started the conversation and all of Connor's friends joined in. Connor was surprisingly pleased that his friends had liked Harry.

"I'll go buy us some drinks, don't worry. Hey, Wes, you want to help me out here?" Wes nodded and walked with Harry to the bar to get everyone some drinks. Rebeca and Connor both looked surprised. Connor looked at the others and noticed they were all looking at Harry and Wes. Harry seemed to be talking about something of great importance with Wes and Wes seemed nervous for some reason. "Maybe they're talking about you Connor. Maybe Harry's telling Wes to stick to his girl and back off of you." Laurel said, as if she could read lips. Rebecca snorted. "No way, they're talking about something, but it definitely ain't you pretty boy. Besides, Wes loves me and there is no way that he could be gay." Rebecca said, snuggling into Wes's jacket.

Harry and Wes made their way back to the table, carrying lots of drinks. "To friends of old and new!" Harry toasted, looking around the table until his eyes rested on Wes who quickly averted his eyes. The rest of team kept silent about their observations but repeated the toast. The night wore on pretty quickly until everyone left for one reason or another. Asher and Laurel grabbed a taxi and headed home while Harry and Connor split from the other two couples to make their way to Connor's flat. "So, that was nice." Connor said slowly. "Yeah, I like your friends." "Especially Wes?" Connor asked snidely. Harry looked at him for a while before turning away with a chuckle. Connor scoffed and wrenched his hand out of Harry's grip.

"Connor, I'm not laughing at you! I'm laughing at the fact that you think I could ever look at someone over you! I don't need or want Wes, you are mine and I am yours." Harry said, catching Connor's elbow. Connor sighed and leaned against his boyfriend. He gave Harry a quick kiss and smiled at Harry's words. "Okay, so what were you guys talking about?" He asked, curiously. Harry looked across the street then back at Connor. "Just how you guys work around the clock all the time for your professor and you don't even get paid for it." Harry said. Something told Connor that Harry was lying, but he decided to let it go for now.
