Misinterpretations

Harry and Ron believed she was jealous. Jealous of the attention the French witch is getting from most of the male population at Hogwarts. Jealous of the flawless skin, the long blonde hair and the perfectly pouting lips. Jealous of the sensual accent that drew people to her like moths to an open flame.

They couldn't be more wrong.

Hermione does watch Fleur. There is a beauty in her movements that Hermione could never hope to imitate. There is beauty in the way she speaks, the way she laughs the way her eyes sparkle in the light when she is happy.

Ron and Harry are not seeing jealousy in Hermione's eyes.

They are seeing want. They are seeing lust. They are seeing desire.

If they choose to misinterpret that, then who is she to correct them.
