Today (October 27) is my birthday!

And guess who else has birthday today?

Why, Orochimaru, of course!

*sounds of awkward chirping*

Right, without further ado, here's-

Birthday Experimentations

"I'm sorry, could you repeat that?"

Orochimaru was expecting to have completely regular day.

Experimentations, developing new methods to annoy the Konoha guards outside of laboratory, experimentations, lunch and finally, experimentations.

As said, completely regular day.

This, however...

"I said, 'Happy birthday'. Isn't that the custom to say to person who has birthday?"

...was not part of regular day.

Mitsuki, the partial clone/child of Orochimaru, had apparently waited outside of his bedroom, as the first thing thing Orochimaru saw when he opened the door, was Mitsuki saying "Happy Birthday".

"...So I have heard." Orochimaru eventually replied. "How did you know it was my birthday today? And why are you here?" Orochimaru asked with honest curiousity.

"I looked from Konoha records." Mitsuki replied. "As for why I'm here... Well, from what I have heard from Boruto, birthdays with family are quite interesting events." Mitsuki smiled. "And since you're my parent, I wanted to experience it with you."

"I see..." Orochimaru said slowly. "And Hokage approved this?"

"Yes," Mitsuki answered, "though his exact words were, 'Birthday party with Orochimaru? Sure, that should be good experience for both of you-ttebayo! Have fun!'".

Orochimaru snorted. "That does sound like Naruto..."

On one hand, Orochimaru never really cared about his birthday, so he considered saying 'no'. In the past, his sadistic side would have enjoyed seeing disappointed face of child.

On the other hand... When he looked at Mitsuki's expectant face, something within him just couldn't say 'no'. Maybe he was getting more soft than he thought... And strange part was that he didn't really care.

"Well, since you're here, we might as well give this a try." Orochimaru replied, and when he saw Mitsuki's smile getting bigger, he knew he made the right choice. "So, what did you have in mind?"

"Well, I have decorated the Third Laboratory with help of Suigetsu, Karin and Jūgo. Let me show you." Mitsuki walked towards the Third Laboratory, while explaining more details of his birthday plans, which included food, presents and games.

"Well...", Orochimaru thought, as he was following Mitsuki, with little smile.

"This should be interesting."

THE END

So, yeah... a little birthday celebration with everyone's favourite(?) mad scientist snake Sannin. Might as well make series out of this.

Apologies, if this felt a little short. It's been a while since I've wrote anything, so I'm a bit rusty.

Oh, and I'm still alive. Still trying to figure out some finer details with "Chronicles of Legends", but I'm getting there... Though part of me is thinking of rewriting it, as I'm not really satisfied with it...
