Hal rushed into the house with his arms laden with chocolates and flowers. He hoped that Emma would forgive him. He knew that rushing out was the wrong thing to do at the time. Hindsight is always 20/20. Emma was sitting on the living room couch reading a book.

Emma looked up from her book at the sound of Hal entering the room. She took note of the flowers and the chocolates in Hal's arm. "I thought you, "I would have come back E.E. for you, I would always come back," Hal told her. Emma put her book down on the coffee table. Hal approached Emma with caution. He didn't want to make the situation between them worse. "These are for you," he explained, handing Emma the Roses and a box of Godiva chocolates.

"Thank you, but you didn't need to," Emma said. The gesture was nice, but it wasn't necessary she would have forgiven Hal anyways. "I'm just glad that you came back. I was worried." Emma told Hal.

"I only went to talk to Snake. Clear my head, you know." Hal explained. He sat down next to her on the couch. He took the chocolates and flowers and placed them on the coffee table. Hal took Emma's hands in his squeezing lightly. "I am so sorry about just leaving I shouldn't have done that. Can you ever forgive me." Hal said.

"Of course I forgive you, I love you," Emma said. Emma knew she shouldn't have put pressure on Hal; it was wrong of her. "I'm sorry to Hal. I shouldn't have pressured you. I should have dropped it when you told me to." Emma apologized.

"You were right, though, Emma. I was the one being stupid. I was overthinking things and making everything more complicated than it needs to be." Hal explained. Snake was right. If they both loved each other, why shouldn't they be together? They have always been all each other had.

Hal got up from the couch, pulling Emma along with him. They walked up the stairs to Hal's bedroom. He leads Emma inside, shutting the door behind them. Hal's soft lips met Emma's in a sweet, lingering kiss. Emma's arms wrapped themselves around him, pulling him closer. He could feel Emma's fingers tangled in his hair.

"Emma?" Hal wondered. He looked down at the small brunette Emma placed a finger to Hal's lips. "Shh." she hushed. Emma's hands went to the hem of Hal's shirt. Hal lifted his arms as Emma pulled the shirt up and over his head. Emma wrapped her arms around Hal, placing a passionate kiss on his lips. Hal knew at this point; there was no turning back. They broke the kiss long enough for Hal to remove Emma's t-shirt.

The two made their way over to Hal's bed. Hal pulled Emma down with him. The two were a tangle of limbs as they kissed. Their hands roamed each other's bodies. Emma ran her hands along Hal's chest and back. She wrapped a leg around Hal's waist and ground herself against him, earning a moan from him.

Emma's hands went to the waistband of Hal's pants. "These need to come off," she said. Her slim and delicate fingers made quick work of unbuttoning and un-zipping Hal's jeans. Hal finished ridding himself of the jeans, kicking them off along with his boxers.

"I think you're still overdressed." Hal voiced. He made quick work of removing Emma's bra. Emma pulled her skirt down and slid her panties off. "Impatient, are we?" Hal asked. Emma answered by spreading her legs, looking up at him coyly. Hal didn't wait; he situated himself between Emma's thighs and slammed into her. Emma let out a gasp of pleasure. Hal grabbed hold of Emma's hips and quickened his pace. Emma thrashed against the bed as Hal pounded her into the mattress. Emma clung to Hal clawing at his back.

Hal could tell they were both close. He flipped Emma over, taking her from behind as she clutched the headboard. "Oh fuck Hal, this is so good." Emma gasped. She met Hal thrust for thrust. With a few more strokes, Emma came along with the Hal simultaneously. The two both collapsed on the bed panting, sweaty and spent. Emma wrapped her arms around Hal, snuggling close.

"That was amazing, Hal," Emma spoke. Hal hummed in agreement. He watched as Emma closed her eyes and drifted off into sleep. Hal stroked Emma's hair closing his eyes as he too drifted off into sleep. His final thought was that Snake was right. Makeup sex was worth it. He wouldn't worry about anything anymore. For once in his life, he was happy, and that's all that mattered.
