Episode XVIII: What's Yours Is Mine And Mine Alone

Senset desperately tried to regain control at any point she could. She knew she could, but with even the slightest movement took far too much energy, all but blinking. Class continued for what feels like an eternity. Time is all she has and she knew she wouldn't have it forever.

"There has to be something I can do..."

"You could always give up. I spent an entire week operating on us. I am very thorough in my work."

Chrysalis sneered to herself as she wrote down notes in class.

"I've gotten every single one of your friends pegged as targets to finish off. You must have figured out by now our minds are linked. We share just about everything with each other... Memories included."

Senset widened the eyes upon staring at the notes themselves. They weren't part of the lesson being told, they were names and Stand Abilities, the whole party. From Jotaro to Tonio, to Rohan and Yukako, everyone she knew was there.

"Wait... Wh-Where's Hazamada?"

She received no answer. Instead, her own vision flashes with memory of the introverted boy being killed by the Changeling.

"You killed him?! Why!"

"He was getting on my nerves. He only fancied Meuda Yoshikage for her anime-esque look. She reminded him of his, oh what did he call it, heartsweet? It's all shallow surface lust at the end of the day."

"You're a vile sack of shit inside and out! You don't even love anyone! You just want to be perfect no matter who or how you hurt someone! You're just a murdering psychopath!"

Both of them stop as Chrysalis snapped her pencil in half with her grip.

"Don't. Call me. A murderer... I hate you so much, Sunset Nijimura... That was a really good pencil."

"Go fuck yourself-"

Senset was silenced then. What little control she had on the body taken from her. With only the option to bide her time, to gather her strength for one big defiant grab for freedom, Senset conceded to her current fate. Apparently, Koichi and the others have excused her absence as her having gone to the hospital. She wasn't expecting for her school day to be so normal.

As time flew by and the final bell rung Senset grew confident in her subdued strength. She began to feel it the longer her warden controlled her, she just needed a proper time to fight back. That was when they approached Koichi.

"Koichi?"

"H-Huh...?!"

He was completely focused on something else entirely. He hid his notes in a hurry, but they both caught it, ways of finding Senset. Chrysalis frowns at that.

"You weren't paying attention in class... Is everything alright?"

"It's a personal matter, sorry..."

"O-Oh! Forgive me for intruding."

Koichi left without no hesitation. Relief washed over Senset and garnered a laugh from her.

"Looks like no one wants to be your friend, Ms. Murderer!"

"Quiet down, Sunset Nijimura. There's a process to everything... And a way to hasten that process as well..."

Chrysalis ignores Koichi to find someone else. Rarity. The ivory skinned mare rested on the windowsill in deep thought. Senset blinks on accident before Chrysalis shook her head.

"W-What was that? How did you know Rarity was up there-?"

"Your Stand isn't the only one based on vision... Just the only one that manifests within your eyes."

"Just how many Stands did you steal?!"

"Enough."

They approach Rarity before Chrysalis softly tapped her shoulder.

"Excuse me."

Rarity beamed at her with a cheerfully forced smile.

"Ah! You're that new student, aren't you? I'm quite new myself so I can't really help you with anything!"

Chrysalis frowned at her with a hurt tone.

"I-I must be bothering you at a bad time... I'm sorry."

She turned to leave, with Senset ready to insult her captor again, but Rarity stopped them with a sigh.

"No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't brush you off so swiftly. How can I help you?"

Chrysalis turns with a saddened smile hiding the internal sneer hearing Senset's boisterous warnings.

"No! NO! Rarity you idiot! You marble skinned nimrod! Get everyone! Please! Encase me! Do something!"

"Are you familiar with the campus? I'm having a bit of a time getting place to place..."

Rarity smiled and nodded as she gave a gracious gesture.

"It would be my pleasure!~ I don't know this place that well either, but I know someone who can, and he's helped before!"

Rarity escorted the conjoined duo to an empty classroom. Without looking, she entered with a proud voice as she proclaimed her arrival.

"Josuke!~ Okuyasu!~ I have brought with us-!"

"Who are you talking to?"

"What?"

Rarity looked around then in confusion. She rubbed her chin with her thoughts made vocal.

"Those two are always here... Where else could they be?"

Chrysalis tilts her head.

"Who is?"

Senset simmered in her mental prison.

"You already know, don't you..."

"I have one of my Changelings constantly watching him. Hidden, just out of view..."

"Is that right? And, can you see what it sees?"

"Why would that matter?"

"You bitch, I scanned the last one you had trying to kill me!"

"If you want to look you're free to try but you must know how taxing it can be."

"Then maybe you shouldn't use a stolen Stand you freaky Frankenstein reject!"

Rarity snapped her fingers in front of Chrysalis and garnered their attention.

"Darling? Are you alright?"

They blinked before Chrysalis smiled nodding for them both.

"Of course. I'm a little out of it, not enough sleep..."

Rarity frowned at that with a huff.

"Oh dear! You should really fix your sleep schedule. You won't last long in school like that."

"I'll take that advice... Do you think they'd be by the pool?"

Rarity looked to the side before gesturing for the new student to follow.

"Actually... Yes. This way!~"

Rarity stood over the pool whereas Chrysalis scanned the area in search of her targets. However, no one was around, not even stray students or the Swim Club. Chrysalis had grown confused as did Senset. That's when Rarity had turned with a pearl necklace in hand.

"I'm sad to say that they're just not here today! They might've gone home early."

She offered them to Chrysalis who took them with a small smile.

"T-That's a shame, but what are these for, I didn't see you with any jewelry Rarity!"

Rarity's smile fades to a stoic stare. A vacant gaze as Chrysalis wears the accessory.

"They fit me rather well, I must say! I've heard about how fashionable you are."

"From who?"

Chrysalis looked up with her heart stopped in a foreign sensation. Shock. Disbelief. Sheer Terror. Rarity, with eyes of fury, swung a baseball bat made of her Stand's substance. A solid crack sounded as Chrysalis' vision flashed white before everything blurred and doubled. The Frankenstein beauty stumbled to the side with weak legs as she tried to process everything at once. Without thinking All Seeing Eye activated, but it was already too late, as in her perspective the inevitable second swing came in slow motion. The shimmering bat is stained with blood as Rarity swung a third time and sent the girl to the ground.

"You didn't even know my name until a few minutes ago. You've only been at this school for a few hours. Oh but there's more I've noticed. That necklace you're wearing. How does it feel?"

Chrysalis sits up, her head busted open with blood running down an eye, hindering the Stand's ability to act. She maintained an innocent act but found herself unable to speak. Unable to breathe. Senset could feel the throat of their body being crushed. Suffocating, they reach for their throat in shock, one in glee as the other writhes in agony. The pearl necklace had become a choker, tightening by the second. Rarity pointed with the bat.

"Mr. Kujo and Rainbow Dash said that a Stand User's ability to use a Stand can be hindered if they're not allowed to breathe. What wonderful advice that was... I can see it by your eyes alone."

"!"

Chrysalis swears at herself as she crawls away closer to the pool edge. She didn't mean to use her Stand at all. That's when she is reminded by the haughty laughter in her head.

"I didn't know what she was planning from the start so I tried to bide my time, show my Stand when you least expected it, but it looks like Rarity has gotten smarter lately!"

"Sunset Nijimura! You whore! ! !"

Chrysalis attempts to dive into the water as she argues with her tenant. They're stopped by Rarity stomping her foot on their back.

"When I first saw you approach Josuke I knew something was off with you. The others may not have seen it but I could see far too many similarities between you and my missing friend. When I showed you those pearls, that was the smoking gun, for normal people cannot comprehend my Shine. Having seen her Stand in your eyes only confirms what little suspicion I had left... Your eyes... Or are rather her eyes!"

The ivory girl moves her foot to Chrysalis' head forcing it alone under the water. Chrysalis kept most of Senset's internal structure, her muscles, even most of her organs. She should be stronger than Rarity by a large margin. It isn't until she attempted to resist that the truth dawns on her. Her wrists and ankles have been restrained by Shine On's substance. Rarity lifted her foot with a sigh.

"I refuse to take a life, but I'll be sure to take you to Mr. Joestar and Pinkie Pie, you'll get us to our friend one way or the other!"

Chrysalis' vision began to fade, her body numb, if she lost consciousness here... There would be no saving the situation! Years, decades, all wasted! She could not let it end! Not like this! Not when she was so close! Her Stand broke through Senset's own hold and wildly swung a scalpel blade for Rarity's throat. Her head had still been leaning over the water, and now, floating in the pool face down with no means to move on it's own. Her own strategy used against her, Chrysalis felt Rarity's Stand weakening, it's once unbreakable hold now crumbled as she breaks free from it gasping for air.

She cackled between breaths as she watched the head bob up and down, bubbles formed around as Rarity panicked, and Chrysalis reached out only to push her down further.

"You forget, sweet thing, Stand's are a mental construct... You're in such a state of shock and terror that you're losing control... And without any oxygen going to your empty head? Your Ability is as weak as glass! Now die for me, would you?"

Rarity's body moved sporadically, spastic motions with convulsions, progressively it slowed as she started to lose consciousness. She was so sure, so certain in her plan, only to have made one mistake and pay the price for it. Josuke, Okuyasu, they were both across the building from them. Koichi had already left. There was no one left to save her...

"Get off of her this instant RIGHT NOW!"

Chrysalis' eyes widen after being kicked in the head from the side. She released Rarity just so she can roll away to get away from this new assailant. Her face grew dour as she stares at a wrathful Yukako lift Rarity out of the pool with her own hair.

"You're going to die! I'm going to tear you limb from limb! You shit eating bitchborn whore!"

"Yukako Yamagashi. As unpleasant as always."

Senset swears at herself having used up all her strength for restraining the Stand. There isn't anything she can do to stop either of these girls from killing each other. That is until Rarity speaks up.

"Y-Yukako... Wait... That body, at least the eyes, belong to Senset... Knock her out but don't harm her... Too badly... Please."

Rarity lost consciousness but the messages had been received. That is until Yukako placed Rarity's head in her bag.

"Josuke can heal anything that isn't sick or burnt... So tearing you apart is still a viable option, Fake Bitch!"

Chrysalis clicks her tongue and summoned her Stand.

"You're long overdue for a haircut. Would you like it stylized? I think decapitation would fit you as nice as it does Rarity..."

Yukako hissed before whipping her hair to restrain her target. Chrysalis smirked as her Stand stretched one of it's several arms, a gangly limb with various holes now secreting a vile substance, and swung to catch the hair.

"Are you sure you want to do that, Yukako Yamagashi? I've studied you already..."

Yukako's eyes widened as her hair melts into the sordid liquid oozing from the restrained limb. Though her Stand acts through her hair, pain is still felt, a terrible burning matched by holding her hand to fire. Chrysalis sneered as she watched Yukako's face react in surprise.

"You thought I would try to cut it? Don't be so presumptuous of me. That's not all that it can do~!"

She pulled out a lighter with her own hand and tossed it to the arm.

"Though the Stand is ethereal like others, it's creation is quite physical, and similar to gasoline."

"!"

Yukako attempted to retract her hair, but it was too late as the flammable hand had now taken a firm grasp on it, both it and her hair set ablaze soon after. Chrysalis coos as she watches Yukako begin to panic seeing the fire quickly scale towards her.

"This ought to teach you a lesson, Yukako Yamagashi. You should pick your battles more wisely."

"You stupid cow! YOU'RE THE ONE UNDERESTIMATING ME!"

Chrysalis gave a bemused frown until a terrifying rip sounds. She leaned to the side doubling over in utter agony as Love Deluxe ripped the arm of the Stand right out of the socket. Yukako doused her hair and the arm in the waters of the pool, releasing it there, before she slammed Chrysalis with a hairy tendril as her hair comes up from the water. Chrysalis rolled across the ground before she jumped to her feet. All Seeing Eye activated and she narrowly dodged a sweep for her legs with an acrobatic front flip. She lands into a sprint right for Yukako, who attempted to seize her with her hair, only for Chrysalis to dodge deftly every time.

All she needed was one solid punch in the jaw. The right angle, the right amount of force, an instant knock-out even if for a few moments would secure victory for her.

"You're Mine."

She landed it with the aid of her vision. Chrysalis couldn't believe how easy this was for her, it felt like cheating as she watched her fist connect in gratifying slow motion, the psychotic girl's cheek being pushed in with her head turned from the punch. That was it... Rather, it should have been it, but she could tell that Yukako was still conscious. In fact, she hadn't even suffered a bruise, and in this moment of confusion left herself vulnerable. Yukako managed to slap her back to stumble into a wall of hair, strands lashing out and finally ensnared her.

"What-?! How!? Y-Your cheek!"

Yukako's left eye twitched incessantly as she held her bag. Rarity's head poking out slightly, the girls had silently planned it from the start, as Yukako had positioned Rarity to look at her own body while the former kept Chrysalis distracted. Her headless body now hugged Yukako from behind as Rarity spoke up.

"How fortunate I am that you cut my head from my body... All the water that could've clogged my lungs simply leaked out. I recovered faster than I have a right too. Even so, as I am I can't protect you completely, Yukako. It looks like I won't have to though."

Chrysalis struggled and thrashed in futility but she began to suffocate from the increasing pressure of her bindings. Yukako narrowed her eyes.

"You may have one against us one on one... But you're alone where I have my dearest friend! YOU should be the one to pick your fights wisely!"

Chrysalis began to lose her composure. Her jaw clenched, teeth bared, snarling like a mad dog as her own rage began to bubble up from inside. Then, she felt it, felt them. They were coming to her aid. She hadn't lost them all. She began to snicker at the two.

"Rarity... Oh, foolish Rarity... You weren't exactly thorough in your last Stand encounter. It seems my little babies that survived have grown!"

Rarity grew confused at this freak's ramblings but soon she understood. A snake slithered from the bushes, a student wandered by, and a butterfly fluttered near until all began to change. They became the creatures that had chased her days ago, each the size of that they had transformed, with the fake student opening it's mandibles to fire it's elongated tongue out for Rarity's head. Yukako turns too late to save her.

"R-Rarity! Let her go! I'll kill you and-!"

Chrysalis cackles as the Changeling holds Rarity between it's hands ready to crush the skull.

"Those are Automatic Stands! Kill me, they'll kill her. If you squeeze any harder, they'll kill here. Don't do as I say, they'll kill her. Do you understand your situation now, Yukako Yamagashi?"

Yukako had never really been one to be, scared, not truly. Shock, sure, everyone is susceptible to surprise. However, it had only now occurred to her just what she had encountered. She looked to Chrysalis as her hair released her slowly.

"You... You're using more than one Stand Ability. I've heard of such a thing but this isn't the same!"

"Of course it isn't. My Ability is just far superior to yours... However, I certainly think it could be used better, so why don't I take it off your head?"

"What?! You can't it-!"

Chrysalis quickly flashes her hand to Yukako's head and pulled it back. To her and Rarity's horror, Chrysalis pulled her scalp out with ease, and Beautiful Surgery swiftly removes Yukako's scalp seamlessly. Love Deluxe becomes inactive as Yukako tried to step away, only to be beaten on by Chrysalis. She could have finally knocked her out in an instant here, now with Rarity properly out of commission, but how could she pass up the opportunity to beat this troublesome girl to a pulp? Were it any other girl, any other body, Yukako may have had a chance. She may be a schoolgirl but she's far from weak. Senset's body was simply on another level, and with All Seeing Eye, any self-defense she could have put up were rendered useless as she stumbled side to side under a hail of sadistic blows.

Slaps to her face, jabs in her eyes, knees to her gut followed by an elbow to her neck that sent her hurtling to the ground. Chrysalis stomped her foot on Yukako's head giggling.

"Oh how marvelous this turned out for me~! Another addition to my lovely collection! [Beautiful Surgery] will now operate!"

Her bald head not even bleeding from her removal, was replaced with Yukako's at once, and her hair immediately sprang to life. It wrapped around Yukako's body before it swung her around beating her against the environment.

"How lovely! Utterly stupendous! Oh the options, the choices, my brain could overload with how many ways I could kill you with your own Stand alone!"

Rarity would be in a panic as she had been earlier, but something has now snapped, just as it had with those rats. Though she could barely feel her body, and the Changeling covered her mouth and nose to limit her breathing, she still saw it. A chance to win, to secure victory, to save her friend as well as the town from this monster. Her body had been left alone and ignored, Chrysalis gave Yukako's torment her undivided attention, as well as her captor's. She had to make the most of this opening best she could.

She only had enough strength to use some of her Shine, but it couldn't protect her, and Yukako was too far away for it to be applied. However, applying it at all was not her plan, rather she would use it offensively! With a steady mind, and a resolute heart, she took as much strength as she could muster to manifest a gun in her hand. It was all or nothing! Her headless body took aim and fired a pearl bullet at Chrysalis' head, upon impact it didn't pierce the flesh, but spread into encase the girl's head within her Shine to suffocate her.

Without delay her body aimed for the head of her captor and fired the last bullet with a loud bang, killing the Changeling instantly, and freeing Rarity's head.

"Yukako, darling, hurry! We have to leave!"

With adrenaline going through her body, Yukako crawled to a run, taking the hand of Rarity's body and scooping the head from the ground with her free arm. The other two Changelings flew to their master attempting to free their creator. Chrysalis mentally cursed them out, unable to communicate as her frozen face stared at them, she dropped to her knees unable to control any of her Stands. Senset chuckled in her mind.

"Now you've done it. Even if you change your look, your name and voice, everything. They'll know. You're on borrowed time, bitch."

"Not if I undo my Stand, Sunset Nijimura..."

"! Y-You can't do that! They'll die! Ah-"

"That is precisely the point... [Beautiful Surgery] must finish it's operation or else all work will be undone. Rarity will die in an instant and Yukako will be hospitalized. It will be easy to get to her and finish her off afterwards as a nurse. Just as I did to you."

"D-Dammit! You can't! You just fucking can't! I-I won't let out! I'll...!"

"You'll what? Your little stunt earlier drained you. I can feel it. Soon I'll have you locked behind my own consciousness, and then, assimilate you completely. You'll vanish Sunset Nijimura... But not until after I've taken care of everyone you know."

Yukako carried Rarity's head around the school but couldn't believe it, the school bell had rung already, no one was outside to help.

"R-Rarity... I'm so sorry... I can barely move anymore. I'm losing my vision and it's getting cold..."

Rarity smiled without the dread in her heart that Yukako held.

"I made it so that final shot created a sound. I spoke with Joskue about situations like these... In a moment, he'll be here. I'm sure of it."

As if on cue, Josuke cuts around the corner of the school building with a stumble, sprinting mad for the two with as much speed as he can muster.

"RARITY! Y-Yukako? Don't worry! I'll fix you up s-!"

His heart fell still, even as his body continued, unblinking at Yukako's shriek as Rarity's body begin to erupt blood as a human geyser. Her own head began to bleed profusely while Yukako's head is drenched in her own blood from her wound. Josuke ran fast as he could and shoots out Crazy Diamond ahead of him.

"GODDAMMIT! ! !"

Chrysalis laughed to herself as it happened. Watching from behind cover as Rarity's body became whole.

"Oh? You're silent? Why, Sunset Nijimura? Why aren't you gloating about my failure? Hm~?"

There was no response. Senset couldn't believe it even as her own Stand confirms a most terrible truth.

Josuke was too late. Rarity had passed by the time he had arrived. Had she stayed awake, in theory, her head would've stayed alive for few possible seconds. Just enough, at the closest of races, at the tiniest chance. She could've survived... But when she closed her eyes to rest merely happy enough to have saved Yukako, the moment Beautiful Surgery came undone, it was over. Rarity had died and not even Crazy Diamond can return a soul to a body.

Chrysalis placed a hand on her cheek as tears came down.

"How thoughtful of you to cry over someone like that... I knew you thought fondly of her, but these intense feelings, it's as if you lost another family member. Mother, Father, Brother, and now... You failed to save a Sister. Truly you are a worthless girl..."

Chrysalis revels in the silence in her mind. Senset had nothing to say. No anger, no rage, no sassy comeback. Only despair. Then, pain, for both of them. Josuke began healing Yukako, and this meant retaking Love Deluxe. With a surprised cry of pain, Chrysalis and Senset both look towards Josuke in surprise, as he had seen them. Love Deluxe pulled the Frankenstein killer out of cover. Beautiful Surgery immediately severed the Stand from the body allowing Chrysalis to flee. Josuke gave chase but found nothing by the time he had gotten to the pool...

Spike jumped onto the board and ran towards the Rarity piece.

"No, no, no! No! No! S-She can't! That's! No that isn't how it works! S-She's supposed to make it!"

Princess Cadence is caught breathless unable to process the results of this round. There was no way getting around it, no silver lining, not even a lesson learned. She had lost. Shining Armor looked away to his beloved and kept close to her while Spike continued to shout.

"You sent through time and space, right?! This can be undone-! I want a do-over!"

"H.A.V.E. I. D.O.N.E. A. D.O.O.V.E.R? N.O. T.H.I.S. I.S. A. G.A.M.E. T.H.E.R.E. A.R.E. W.I.N.N.E.R.S. A.N.D. L.O.S.E.R.S."

"BUT THIS IS WRONG! R-RARITY CAN'T DIE... SH-SHE CAN'T..."

Spike attempted to hug the piece, but his body goes right through it, as it began to disappear. Then the pair of eyes appeared over her.

"Wait! The turn isn't over yet! This round... It's ended in a stalemate!"

The three Equestrians looked to it caught off-guard. Before Cadence or Shining Armor could ask, Spike turned to quickly answer.

"T-This guy's a friend! He helped Princess Celestia, Luna, and even Twilight win their games! W-Where have you been!? Whaddya mean, stalemate!?"

The eyes flew higher and it's gaze directed everyone to the center where the "camera" kept going.

In Josuke's house, Jotaro, Josuke, Joseph, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash gathered around Rarity's lifeless body. Pinkie Pie kept quiet while Rainbow Dash wept as she punched a wall repeatedly.

"Shit! SHIT! SHIT! How could this happen...!? How did we let this...!"

She looked towards Josuke.

"You were supposed to protect her! How'd you fuck that up?! WHY WAS SHE EVER AWAY FROM YOU?!"

He didn't respond. He only stared at her unable to speak. Rainbow Dash marched over to him and lifted him from the couch he had sat in.

"YOU GOT NOTHING TO SAY!? WHERE THE FUCK WHERE YOU?!"

"I..."

Jotaro grabbed Rainbow Dash and pulled her back.

"Stop it. Shouting won't bring her back."

"FUCK YOU, JOTARO. SHE WAS MY FRIEND! I KNEW HER FOR YEARS! I WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE CARE OF HER WHEN SHE SHOWED UP!"

She began to pace back and forth before slowing down.

"Josuke was there for her when I wasn't... Pinkie did her best to keep an eye... You all did your best and I had my thumb up my ass! I..."

She fell to her knees at Rarity's corpse unable to keep the tears falling from her eyes.

"I... I let her die... It's my fault... Oh Rarity... I'm so sorry..."

Joseph shakes his head.

"This certainly feels unreal... Josuke. Dashie. Neither of you are to blame. It's that Stand Thief you discovered. Rarity showed amazing prowess saving Yukako so we could get a good understanding of this new foe. We must be prepared."

Jotaro knelt by Rainbow Dash and hugged her tightly. There was nothing he could say that would mean a thing. Pinkie Pie however said something preposterous.

"I can bring her back."

She stood and lifted Rarity's body in her arms.

"Rather... I know a way she can come back."

Joseph's eyes widened before he stood up too quickly, wincing in pain due to his old age, but he ignored it for a far more pressing matter.

"Pinkie, wait! You can't be serious! You wouldn't use that, would you?!"

Jotaro shoots a glare at them both.

"Hold on. I thought once someone died that was it. Are you two keeping some kind of secret from us?"

Pinkie Pie shook her head unable to put on a smile.

"No, Jotaro. You've seen it too. It's not your choice to make though... Nor is it JoJo's. It's not Dashie's and it's certainly not my own."

She looked to Josuke, who had his attention on his godmother from her first word.

"Josuke... You're her partner. I need you and only you to come with me."

Rainbow Dash shot up to her feet only to be held back by Jotaro. Even her Stand had to be restrained by Star Platinum.

"WHAT?! NOT UP TO US?! WE'RE HER FRIENDS! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT IT!"

Pinkie Pie then shouted back with as much anger.

"BECAUSE HE'S HER FRIEND TOO, RAINBOW! They ate together, slept together, they were more attached to each other than you and Jotaro! Than me and Joseph! I know you're hurting because I am too! We're all hurting! But this..."

She stopped to look down. Her arms quiver and body shakes with stress.

"This... Decision... Is too big for you or me. We're... We're not the ones to make this call. It has to be Josuke. Josuke stands and followed Pinkie Pie into a portal to a pitch black room... The room lights up revealing a colorful bedroom lined with newspaper headlines, old and new photos, as well as ancient treasures from a time before Christ. On a water bed with feather covers lays Adagio Dazzle.

"Pinkamena Pie... It's not like you to bring me snacks."

Her eyes narrowed towards Josuke.

"I smell Joestar in that one... Such a distinct and rich scent. If only Joseph wasn't married."

Pinkie Pie nodded towards Adagio as she spoke to Josuke.

"She's the one that can bring Rarity back to life."

Josuke eyed Adagio unintentionally longer than he'd like to admit. Her body, her form, her face and voice. It was all unreal, as if he had dreamed the perfect woman he had never know but always wanted, and now she had become real. Reality returned to him in seeing her eyes and fangs upon her subtle smile.

"W-Whoa! Whoa, whoa, whoa what is this? G-Grandma...!?"

Pinkie Pie places Rarity at the foot of the bed.

"This Adagio Dazzle. A vampire I beat into submission and forced to be my friend. We had some rocky times but I like to think we're real friends now."

Adagio hisses as she crawled over to Rarity's body.

"I'm simply waiting for the Ripple in your body to deplete so I can finally kill you... What is going on, Pinkamena?"

Pinkie looked to the ground and hugged herself sighing.

"Josuke, Adagio is able to bring Rarity back as vampire like herself. She'll be back but... She'll be, unable to go to school, or anywhere during the day. Food won't do anything for her either, only blood, and... I don't know if she'll even want this. There's a part of me that knows Rarity, that panicky fickle pony that worries over every single thing, she'd jump at the chance to come back... But that's my view of her. There's another part of me that knows she wouldn't want this too. To be a vampire is-"

Adagio hums as she scans Rarity's corpse closely with her eyes.

"Certainly the most well-made human body that your flawed genetics could achieve."

Pinkie rolled her eyes ignoring the comment.

"Josuke, the real reason I can't make this choice is because I want her back. I miss her so much already. I've had friends, loved ones, even people who've become my family, die. I wanted to do this for all of them, but knew they wouldn't want it, and I accepted that... But Rarity? Not Rarity. I can't... I can't lose Rarity... So please..."

Pinkie Pie finally began to shed tears herself.

"Please make the choice for me... I can't... I can't smile anymore... This world has taken too much from me this time... Please..."

Josuke stood there unable to say anything. He didn't know the stories he heard were true, and as often as Pinkie would tell them, there were details left out and things he forgot in his younger years. Even so, he knew living as a vampire was difficult, especially if you had a great human life with friends still alive. The more he thought about it the more he felt like he really had the least say in this.

Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie were her friends before this whole ordeal. Jotaro and Joseph were older, they've done this already, or rather they were good enough to keep their partner alive. Is this right? Is this cheating? What about how Rarity would react? How would this treat her?

That's when Adagio spoke up again in a more serious and genuine tone.

"Joestar boy. I'll have you know something about Pinkamena. She would never suggest this if she really didn't love this girl... But also if she didn't think this girl could handle it. I don't know or really care about why this is happening right now... But I've been as I am with my sister since before your kind discovered electricity. I can guide her for a time so she can... Maintain a presence. It isn't a bad lifestyle actually."

That didn't help. In fact, it felt like a demon trying to get him to make a deal for his soul, or in this case Rarity's.
