Okay…first of all I know I've messed this story around a lot, leaving it as complete for a year when it's technically isn't, but I lost motivation for it.
So – despite the comment in the last chapter – this is the last chapter, I realised I needed to show all the VK's actually meeting for the story to live up to the title.
See chapter 1 for the disclaimer.
While the adults were downstairs discussing 'importing things' they'd sent the kids upstairs to Evie's bedroom.
Jay's eyes lit up when he saw the rows of make-up the five year had managed to scavenge. "Cool!" He picked up a lipstick. "What did you exchange for this? A cow?"
Evie snatched it back. "Gimme! It's mine!"
Jay held his hands up. "Fair enough." As soon as Evie turned he snuck a small eye-shadow into his pocket.
Mal was interrogating Carlos. "Name." She said, hands on hips and glaring.
The younger kid blinked at her. "N-name…"
"You must have one! I'm Maleficent Junior – Mal for short – and this is Evie." She pointed at the other girl.
Carlos looked at the girl with the blue locks, who waved quite cheerfully. "Hi! Who are you?"
"He doesn't know." Mal said, bluntly, clearly not impressed.
Jay, who had been watching all this from afar, chose that moment to literally jump in between Mal + Evie and whack them both in the shoulders. "Leave him alone! His name's Carlos and he's with me. He's my ally. Got it?" Jay folded his arms and faced Evie, standing on his tiptoes so he was even taller than her.
Evie nodded mutely, not liking the rough scruffy looking boy.
Mal glared and her eyes glowed dangerously and from behind she grabbed Jay's shoulders and forced his flat on his feet. "Oi!"
He turned and folded his arms. The slightly-younger girls eyes narrowed even more and pushed his aggressively in the chest. "That is MY ally, you…idiot! And this is her castle! You're just here because your stupid dad has been"
What she was going to say, no one found out because Jay saw red. "MY DAD IS NOT STUPID!" He howled, before literally lunging at Mal and knocking her to the floor. "YOU'RE STUPID!"
Mal howled and went for Jay's hair.
Carlos blinked and burst into tears.
Evie screamed and ran to the door, throwing it open and legging it down the stairs, hollering at the top of her voice as she did so. "MOMMY!"
The kitchen door opened and her mother stood there in all her glory. "Evie, what on earth are you doing? You're perspiring."
Evie flung herself into her mother's skirts and buried her face in it.
The Evil Queen looked startled and gave an apologetic smile to the other three villains, before patting her daughter's hair and saying, somewhat stiltedly. "There, there…what's wrong?"
"The Jay and Mal are killing each other!"
The Evil Queen, Maleficent and Jafar all said, together. "What!?"
Jafar pushed past the others – flinging Maleficent into the wall as he did so – and legged it up the stairs two at a time. He knew he wouldn't be claiming any parenting awards any time soon, but he also did know his son and Jay annoyed was not a good thing.
Despite not knowing the layout of the castle at all it was obvious where he needed to head due to the sheer amount of screaming and yelling from the room.
When he got the door open it was to find a flurry of kids rolling on the floor. He saw his own immediately and strode across the room to prise Jay's hands out of Maleficent's child's hair.
"Jay! That is enough, young man! Oi!" He broke them apart and grabbed Jay by the shoulders. "What do you think you're playing at, you stupid cretin!? I'm trying to do a deal with this-" He pointed at Mal as the other adults crowded in the doorway. "-This child's mother and you are ruining my opportunity! What is wrong with you, for heaven's sake?"
Jay's lips trembled, but he didn't cry instead balling his hands into fist and saying, levelly. "S-sorry dad."
Jafar sighed, but didn't say anything, getting up and facing Maleficent, who didn't look impressed to say the least. "I apologise-"
"Don't bother." She said, cutting him off. "That was brilliant." She ignored her young daughter – who had scratches down her face and bits of her hair on the floor – and advanced towards Jay. "He's your son, I take it? Brilliant. Mal. Get here." She ordered.
The young girl did so hesitatingly. "This is Jay." Maleficent waved a hand in his direction. "He's Jafar's son and he will be teaching you how to steal things."
"But I know how to steal things!"
"Don't be ridiculous, you keep getting caught. Now, is that sorted? Good. I think you better go." She said to Jafar, who nodded and steered his son towards the door.
Queenie stood aside to let them out, and said to Cruella. "That goes for you to."
Cruella adjusted her furs. "Oh, very well. Goodbye." And started off down the corridor.
Queenie looked into the room and sighed. "Cruella."
"Yes?"
"Your son is still here."
"Oh. CARLOS! Here boy!"
Carlos picked himself up off the floor and with a terrified look in Mal + Evie's direction fled the room.
Queenie and Maleficent looked at each other. This was going to be an interesting allyship all right.
