"You think you're alone, Raven. But you're not."

Beast Boy froze when the door opened and he felt the half-demon's arms wrap around him.

Half of his mind was telling him to hug back, the other half was too shocked to even react. The changeling put his hands on her shoulders and gently pushed her away. Before he could say anything, he was hit by a stankball.

Raven jumped a little but quickly hid her surprise and looked to her right, where Cyborg was standing.

She picked the 'ball' up and smirked.

"Was it your idea to apologize?" She asked calmly, her eyes closed as she sat crossed-legged near the water.

Beast Boy looked a bit sheepish at being caught, he almost forgot that he wasn't the only one who could sense his teammates sneaking up on him.

"The first time I got forced to," he admitted sitting down next to her and grabbing a small stone. "But after Malchior was gone-" she flinched. "I wanted to check up on you." He threw the stone and watched as it skipped over the water.

"Why?" Her voice stayed monotone and her eyes still hadn't opened.

He paused, not quite knowing the answer to that question.

Raven finally opened her eyes and looked at him, raising an eyebrow.

Beast Boy shrugged. "Because I wanted to. I was worried," he threw another stone, refusing to look at her as his cheeks turned slightly pink.

"Remember Nevermore?" She breathed quietly.

He shuddered. "You mean that creepy place that-"

She glared at him.

"Sorry."

Raven sighed and silently chanted her mantra before continuing. "Do you remember the first emoticlone you met?"

The changeling blinked, thinking her words through before answering the odd question. "The pink one; Happy."

She nodded and stood up. "You should probably know that you weren't meant to meet her first; the moment she heard you were there she rushed to catch up to you. Think about that."

The half-demon left without another word, leaving a confused Beast Boy behind.
