His heart raced uncontrollably as he sprinted down the alley running away from a wild animal that just slaughtered his unit. He was a new equallist in the unit and he just witnessed some sort of beast slaughter his brothers. The Equalist took a sharp turn but almost ran face first into a brick wall revealing that he ran into a dead end. As soon as he was about to run back to where he came he saw it. At the end of the alley stood the beast. The beast snarled and growled as he slowly walked towards the Equallist cornering his prey. The Equalist felt his heart beat in his throat uncontrollably and felt his adrenaline spike causing his fight or flight instinct to kick in. the Equalist charged his glove causing it to glow bright blue and make a static crack and pop echo in the alley. He felt his body tremble in fear as he rushed towards the large animal and attempted to electrocute it but the beast was swift and easily dodge the attack *SHINKT* the Equalist felt a stinging pain shoot up his arm. He collapsed and looked down at his arm to see the three deep lacerations and the blood that poured down and created a small pool below his hand. The Equalist looked back to see the beast glaring at him with his three claws sliding back into his knuckles. He slowly stepped closer revealing himself in the moonlight. Lao looked down at the terrified man in front of him and started snarling at him as he grabbed the collar of his suit and slammed him into the wall and pressed his fist against his chin and glared at him. "Listen Bub, ill let you live if you tell me…Where is Korra and my daughter" Lao demanded as he forced his fist more against the man's chin. "i…I don't know where the Avatar is I swear, im new here I don't know where she is I SWEAR" the man blubbered as sweat ran down his face and tears ran down his cheeks. Lao growled as he looked the man dead in the eye "im giving you three seconds, only three. To tell me where she is….ready?...one" *SHINKT* Lao threatened as he started to count down and one claw popped out grazing the man's cheek. The man shuddered and felt his legs shake uncontrollably " I HAVENT DONE ANYTHING I HAVE A CLEAN RECORD…I.I. JUST WANTED TO BE PART OF THE REVOLUTION MAKE A DIFFERANCE" the man begged as he stared back into Lao's eyes hoping to see something. *SHINKT* Lao's second claw popped out and Lao got closer just inches away from the man's face "…two" Lao snarled " …I have a wife…I have a child…I love them…" the man sobbed as he closed his eyes and waited. Lao looked at the man sob in front of him and slowly lowered his fist. The man's eye's went wide as he felt the claws lower away from his chin. Lao looked deep into the man's eyes "…so did i…but you took them from me" *SHINKT* Lao whispered as he slammed his fist back into the man's chin and his third claw popped out piercing through the man's chin and came bursting out the top of his head. Lao watched as the man choked on his own blood and saw the fear in his eyes as his life slowly drifted away. Lao slide his claws out of the man's head and tossed the dead body to the floor and left him there as he walked out the alley. Lao pulled off his cowl and put a cigar in his mouth and lit it breathing in the smoke that seemed to calm his nerves and breathe out a thick cloud of smoke, he looked back at the dead body he left behind and growled as he spat towards the dead body, slipped his cowl back on and made his way back towards the island.

Tenzin paced back and forth as he worried about Lao, he took off without a word once Tenzin revealed that Korra and Lien went missing and he had been out all night. Tenzin immediately stopped in his tracks when he saw Lao slowly make his way up the steps, Tenzin rushed to Lao but froze when he noticed Lao's appearance. Tenzin felt a sinking feeling inside when he noticed Lao's blood stained hero suit. Lao stopped just a few feet from Tenzin glaring at him "get out of my way bub" Lao warned in a low croaking voice as he kept his eyes to the ground. "Lao…what have you done?...who's blood is that? Tenzin questioned ignoring Lao's threat. Lao simply growled and shoved Tenzin out of the way almost throwing him off balanced. Tenzin rushed back and grabbed Lao's arm forcing him to stop "WHO'S BLOOD IS THAT LAO" Tenzin barked, Lao slowly looked over his shoulder and roughly pulled his arm from Tenzin. "just a couple of no good Equalist who had it coming. Not one of them knew where she was and I cant get a scent on her anywhere in the city" Lao revealed as he kept walking with Tenzin fallowing him from behind "Lao I understand it is difficult to accept that Korra is gone but-" "SHE IS NOT GONE. SHE IS OUT THERE AND I KNOW IT" Lao roared interrupting Tenzin silencing him quickly. Tenzin took a deep breath and placed his hand on Lao's shoulder softly "Lao…you cant just run into the night and kill anyone you think knows where Korra and Lien are, we got a call from the task force and they're investigating the crime scene where Korra and Lien where taken. I want you to clean up and come with me to check on the investigation perhaps we both can offer our assistance." Tenzin revealed and Lao nodded. Tenzin walked past Lao making his way back up the steps that is until Lao's voice spoke up "have you thought of what I told you Tenzin? How Tarrlock is a blood bender?" Lao questioned. Tenzin looked over his shoulder "yes I have…and trust me I do not like Tarrlock in the slightest but he is a member of the council there is no way he can be a blood bender and did the things he did to you" Tenzin revealed "SO YOU THINK I JUST LIED AND MADE ALL THAT CRAP UP?" Lao barked. Tenzin glared at Lao and a powerful gust of wind smack Lao in the face catching him off guard. "I NEVER SAID YOU WERE A LIER LAO…but then again…I never thought you would go out and slaughter innocent people to get what you want, but you proved me wrong last night" Tenzin scolded as he continued up the steps leaving Lao to stand by himself.

Lao made his way inside stripped out of his hero suit and threw it in the washer and stepped in the restroom and took a long hot shower washing away the blood of his victims while the sound of screaming echoed in his mind however what scared Lao the most wasn't the screaming or the terror in the faces of the people he killed what frightened him most was that deep down he enjoyed every last second of pain he caused. Lao looked up into the stream of water that collided with his face and bare chest and slowly smiled in the shower while he licked his lips then he shut off the water and wrapped a towel over his naked half of his body. Lao stepped out of the shower but noticed that Lien's door was slightly opened and he swore he heard whining coming from the room. Lao slowly peeked in and saw Lien's puppy sitting by Lien's bed pawing at the bed whining wondering where his owner was. Lao looked at the ground feeling sorry for the dog and walked up behind the dog and scoped him up off the floor and held the dog close and shut his eyes "I know Mutt…I miss her too…" Lao whispered and felt the dog lick Lao's cheek. Lao placed the dog on the floor and smiled "I promise ill bring them both back" Lao said softly and smiled when the dog barked back wagging his tail with excitement.

Lao finished getting dressed in his and Korra's room and took a seat at the foot of the bed and realized how lonely the island was without her, hell he realized how lonely his life was without her. Lao noticed one of Korra's water tribe arm bands on the floor and picked it up off the ground and was fresh with her Lavender scent. The scent brought Lao to his knees clenching at the arm band, his whole body shaking with him trying to hold in the tears however the pain of his broken heart was too much to bare and it came pouring out like a broken dam. "dammit…why…" Lao thought to himself as he gripped the arm band tighter "I swear ill bring you home Korra…you and our Daughter…and anyone who lays a hand on you will die…I promise" Lao whispered in a shaky voice as he wiped his tears away and wrapped the water tribe band around his right bicep and then put his leather jacket on. Lao traced the singed marks on his jacket where Korra left when they both were attack by Deadpool. Lao was just about to walk out the door but he noticed that there was something under their bed, Lao got on his knees and pulled out a box wrapped in fancy paper and was held together by a silk blue ribbon. Lao started at the box puzzled until he saw a card with his name on it. Lao opened the Letter and read it out loud to himself

"Dear Lao- Lien and I wanted to get you a gift to show you how much we love you, however I never had a boyfriend and I don't know what to get so luckily Asami helped Lien and I get you this. She said you might like it and I think you will look good in it. Thank you so much for bringing us together Lao, we wouldn't be here if it weren't for you. I cant believe that a couple of months ago you were just some jerk who tagged along with Tenzin and bit my neck and now your my boyfriend and father to our daughter who still bites my neck (but that's for another reason). You're the most caring and loving father and man I know we are truly lucky to have you in our lives- Love Lien and Korra"

Lao read the letter over and over and it wasn't until the third time he read the Letter that he noticed he was crying like a leaky faucet. "we all miss them you know" a soft voiced spoke and Lao quickly wiped his eyes and looked over his shoulder to see Pema holding her arms and standing at the door. "…I know Pema" Lao spoke back his voice slightly breaking. Pema slowly walked up behind Lao and placed her hand on his shoulder "well…aren't you going to open it? They were really excited to give it to you…before they…" Pema started and felt herself starting to get choked up worrying about Lien and Korra. Lao quickly stood up and held Pema reassuringly "its ok Pema…im gonna get them back I promise" Lao whispered and Pema wiped her eyes and noticed Lao also had deep red irritated eyes just like her from crying. "I cant imagine how hard this must be for you Lao…you Love them so much…how are you holding up Lao?" Pema questioned as she softly cupped his face and her heart broke when she saw how he let his emotional wall fall and saw his Tears began to pour down his cheeks. Lao fell to his knees and buried his head into Pema's pregnant stomach while she ran her fingers in Lao's hair and comforted him "…I feel like im losing it Pema…I didn't realize that Lien and Korra where the only people keeping me sane and holding me together…without them…i…I killed so many people last night Pema…now Tenzin thinks im a monster… who am I kidding, I know im a monster…I just want them back and this is all I know…" Lao vented as he kept sobbing into Pema's clothes. Pema got on one knee and cupped Lao's face "Lao…no one here thinks you're a monster. Would a monster help a complete pregnant stranger in her time of need? Would a Monster throw the woman he loves on a Ferry and take a blade through the chest and get decapitated just for the sake of her safety? or how about taking in a little girl who had nowhere to go and raise her as your own? That doesn't sound like a monster to me Lao" Pema gave Lao a motherly kiss on his forehead and they both stood up "so aren't you going to open it?" Pema questioned as she starred at the present. Lao smiled softly and pulled the ribbon and lifted the top of the box to reveal what was inside. Lao pulled out a black straw cowboy hat and smiled and placed the hat on his head and adjusted it and smiled at Pema "how do you like it?" Pema asked as she stared at the young man who straightened out the cowboy hat. "I love it Pema" Lao answered as him and Pema both walked out of the room closing the door behind them.

Lao and Tenzin walked in city hall to the crime scene to see reporters taking pictures of the destroyed council room. "were going to try and collect as much information as we can Lao. Do you think you can keep your temper in line long enough for that?" Tenzin questioned with a hint of venom in his tone as he looked down at Lao. Tenzin couldn't see Lao's eyes due to his new hat but Lao grunted in agreement and they both continued into the crime scene. Tenzin stroked his beard and sighed "by the way…that's a nice hat. When did you get it?" Tenzin questioned trying to break the tension. Lao spat at the floor as he sniffed the air and growled "it was a gift…from Lien and Korra before they were Taken" Lao answered coldly as he kept walking with Tenzin fallowing him. The room was surrounded by metal benders and taskforce members and a small medical team worked on councilmen Tarrlock. Lao noticed an Equalist glove on the ground where the large crater was formed and chunks of the ground and walls were missing "what happened? what was Korra doing in city-" Tenzin questioned but was cut off guard when Lao pushed Tenzin out the way and the medical doctor who was working on Tarrlock to the floor and roughly grabbed Tarrlock by his torn coat and lifted the man way above his head his feet dangling inches above the floor "WHERE IS SHE YOU EGG SUCKING GUTTER TRASH" Lao roared quickly silencing the room "well like I was telling chief sicon…Avatar Korra came to talk to me last night with that little child of hers she was obviously upset with you being in prison and demanded that I release her but then…a swarm of Equalist attacked and Lao I tried to protect them I really did but we were outnumbered and I was electrocuted and I passed out. When I came too they were gone…im so sorry Lao" Tarrlock revealed while three Metal Benders struggled to pry Lao away from him but he didn't budge. Lao dropped Tarrlock to the floor and effortlessly shrugged off the officers. "in this swarm of Equalist how many of them were there last night?" Lao questioned as Tenzin rushed to Lao's side "it all happened so fast…but id say probably 7 give or take one or two" Tarrlock answered while Tenzin stroked his beard. Lao huffed and crossed his arms and gave Tarrlock a wicked smile that almost seemed…demonic "that's funny…because I only smell three people scent from last night. Korra's…Lien's…and yours. So tell me… where are the other 7 men you said there were" Lao revealed and Tenzin slowly dropped his hands to his side and looked around to see how the damage was small and somewhat contained for an equallist attack. Tarrlock huffed and stood on his feet slightly towering over Lao "let me get this straight. Your calling me a Liar because you don't SMELL their scent? What are you some Polar Bear Dog now?" Tarrlock quickly dismissed Lao in front of everyone and a few of the Metal benders in the taskforce chuckled. Lao simply smirked and was face to face with Tarrlock "heh…Polar Bear Dog?...no…im The Wolverine" *SHINKT* Lao growled and his claws protruded out just inches away from Tarrlock's face. Lao quickly turned on his heel and made it out of city hall and stood out looking towards the city. Tenzin quickly rushed out after him and before he spoke Lao cut him off "Look Tenzin…I cant do things your way. As a father you should at least understand what im going through with Lien…and with Korra…my body is actually hurting. I feel this tight pressure in my chest and I feel it will only go away once I see Korra and know she is alright…Im sorry im a monster Tenzin but I have to do this." Lao revealed as he turned around holding his cowl in his hand. Tenzin sighed and looked at Lao "Lao…I never thought of you as a monster. I was just disappointed and i wasnt disappointed with you I was Disappointed with myself…that I couldn't protect the Avatar or my father's legacy and unfortunately I took it out on you. And for that pain in your chest…you must really love her Lao" Tenzin revealed and slowly walked up to Lao and placed his hand on his shoulder. Lao nodded softly and looked up at Tenzin "I really do Tenzin. And im gonna do everything in my power to get them both back" Lao answered and Tenzin nodded "then by all means don't let me stop you Lao. Go get your family back. Ill do my best and get information on what happened here last night." Tenzin stated and extended his hand out. Lao looked at Tenzin's hand and smiled softly and they both shook hands and Lao walked off pulling his cowl on his face "first things firsts I need a team" Lao thought to himself and headed to the first place he went when he needed to clear his mind.

(Police jail)

Asami laid on the cold bed made of Stone and she stared at the ceiling of her jail cell and sighed "where are they keeping Lao? I hope Korra and Lien are ok" Asami thought to herself *POOF* all of a sudden Deadpool appeared in a cloud of smoke in the middle of her jail cell and quickly pulled her out of her bed and wrapped his arms around her tightly "AHHH WAN…CANT BREATH" Asami gasped as she struggled for air "oh hush the bad Jokes is my shtick" Deadpool whispered as he let her go and started to look over Asami "did they hurt you? Did they touch you anywhere? Are you hurt? Are you-" Deadpool rambled as fast as Ikki that is until Asami playfully slapped Deadpool in the face stopping him in his tracks "Wan Honey, take a deep breath ok. Look at me, im fine as you can tell" Asami reassured and pulled Wan into a tight hug and slowly lifted his mask just above his nose. Asami softly placed her hand on Wan's heavily scarred cheek and he flinched "shhh…its ok…I wont hurt you…" Asami whispered as she stood on her tip toes and gently grazed her lips against his and took a deep breath feeling her heart in her throat as she was closing in the distance *CRINK CRUNCH* Suddenly the door to Asami's Jail cell popped off its hinges and the door crumbled like a piece of paper and fell to the floor revealing Lin Beifong and Fang Castle otherwise known as the Punisher. "I hope you got enough of Beauty-" Lin started but noticed Asami wasn't alone and also took note of how close they were and smirked "conjugal visits without supervision? Huh…this place really seemed to have fallen apart since I left" Lin Beifong teased as she saw how red Asami face went and how Deadpool sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. "so can you explain why you decided to break us out and get us in more trouble?" Mako blurted as he forced his way past Lin and saw the deep crimson blush on Asami's face and saw how Deadpool's mask was lifted just above of his lips. Mako glared at Asami and she lowered her head slightly ashamed that is until Deadpool pulled his mask back down and stood by her side and placed his free hand on his holster lightly patting his pistol while glaring at Mako behind his mask. "First off I wouldn't rush her if I was you kid. Unless you want to wake up with a slab of stone crushing you in your sleep" Fang barked as he rubbed his sore chest slightly looking at Lin Beifong and she playfully punched his arm. Fang rubbed his arm and looked at the Teens "secondly…Amon has the Avatar and Lien." Fang revealed and all the Teens stared at him in Horror "Lien…that poor little girl" Bolin said out loud as he clenched his fist and stared down at his feet. The world seemed to spin around Mako as the thought of the woman he loved was captured by a madman "…no...she cant be…WHERE THE HELL WAS LAO!?" Mako barked flame shooting out of his mouth. Bolin quickly rushed to Mako's side "easy bro remember Lao was arrested, he was in prison just like you and me. There was nothing he could have done" Bolin tried to reassure but Mako shook off his little brother's hand "IT DOESN'T MATTER. THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED IF SHE WAS WITH-" *CRACK* Mako shouted at Bolin But Deadpool quickly socked Mako across his jaw knocking him on his rear. Mako rubbed his jaw feeling it start to swell "Lao is a lot of things, he is a jerk, an ass, a killer…but he is also a father and he would rather die than stay cope up. I bet he has been looking for them since the moment he learned about their disappearance. But don't stand there and say that he isn't doing nothing…you don't know him the way I do. And I guarantee you he is out there slaughtering any Equalist he can get his hands on" Deadpool barked as he towered over the down Mako. "sure slaughtering them like the monster he is" Mumbled Mako and before Deadpool could retort Lin slammed her foot to the ground summoning a stone wall that was waist high stopping them in their tracks "ENOUGH…we have a Avatar to Save, are you gonna help me or not?" Lin Barked as she glared at both Deadpool and Mako. They both looked at each other and then back at Lin and nodded in agreement.

(the middle of a snowy mountain)

A small safe house was being pelted by the harsh winds and snow, trees surrounded the house covering its existence from the rest of the world. Down below the house was a secret Basement where a metal prison box stood in the center. Korra thrashed , punched, and kicked as hard as she could screaming for someone, anyone to come and help her. "SOMEBODY, HELP…please" Korra shouted until she heard some chains rustle outside her metal Box "mmm mom…I was trying to sleep" Lien groaned. Korra smiled brightly and rushed to the sound of her voice and pressed her ear against the cold steel box desperately listing to her daughter's voice "LIEN HONEY ARE YOU OK? HOWS YOUR SPINE? ARE THEY FEEDING YOU? ARE YOU WARM? ARE YOU-" Korra rattled on but was caught off guard when she heard Lien snort and start to giggle and break out into a loud laughter "geez Korra…your such a mom" Lien joked which caused Korra to scrunch her nose at the sound of her daughter's laughter "umm hello earth to Lien, I am your freaking mother young lady" Korra snapped playfully and slightly smiled hearing Lien chuckle. "Seriously Lien are you ok?" Korra asked again. Lien struggled under the weight of her chains. She had her arms tied behind her back and a collar around her neck that was attached by a heavy chain leash that was connected to a corner of the wall. "well besides for the fact im kinda tied up like an animal im fine. My back healed up fine thanks to Dad's healing factor…what are we going to do Korra?" Lien asked as she stared at the Metal box and heard her mother shift inside the box "I don't know...but don't worry…ill think of something" Korra said as she tried to think of a plan "Empty your mind…be formless…shapeless…like water" Korra said to herself under her breath as she crossed her legs and pressed her fist together and started to meditate…

(During Avatar Aang)

It was during the early years of Republic city when Avatar Aang was the protector. Aang stood tall and proud he wore the traditional Air nomad clothing, his face was aged and he now had a beard that covered his entire jawline. Aang stared at the cities accomplishments. He wished he had come on better conditions but if the rumors he heard were true then he needed to be there. "What are you doing here Aang, I told you I have this under control" a voice spoke and Aang turned around to see Chief of Police Toph Beifong wearing her Police uniform with a small group of Metal benders behind her. "under normal circumstances I wouldn't get involve, but if what those victims say is true were not dealing with an average criminal" Aang protested while Toph rolled her eyes and sighed "Fine, Fallow me Twinkle Toes" Toph teased as she led the way. "Toph im forty years old, you think you could stop with the nicknames?" Aang questioned as she watched Toph lead the way "im afraid not. Are you coming or not Twinkle Toes?" Toph said and Aang huffed and fallowed Toph. Aang and Toph barged into an empty noddle shop with only one customer who sat by himself in the dark shady booth with two body guards standing in front. Both of them water tribe decedents. "its over. Your under arrest Yukon" Toph ordered and pointed at an middle aged man who continued to slurp his noodles. He wore a fancy blue Parka suit and had a beard that stopped at the corner of his mouth. he had slick dark brown hair and his skin was lighter than the average water tribe member. "hmph…what is Republic city coming too… used to be a man can enjoy his lunch in peace." Yakon said in a deep rough voice as he used his chopsticks and slurped up some more noodles. *THWIP* Toph quickly threw her cable at Yakon and it wrapped around his wrist. Yakon smiled and stared at the Chief of Police and the Avatar "whats the big idea?" Yakon grumbled while Aang stood in front of him "we have dozen of witness Yakon…the ones you let live that is…we know what you are" Aang stated. Yakon smirked and snapped his fingers. At first nothing happened. That is until Aang notice smoke started to come out of the corner of the room. "im gonna give you five seconds to leave…Bub" a voice spoke. Aang looked at the corner and out stepped a clean shaven young man who wore a white button up shirt tucked into his grey dress pants and black leather dress shoes, he wore a black tie and his sleeves were rolled up, he wore suspenders that connected to his grey pants. The young man took the lit cigar out of his mouth and blew the cigar smoke in Aang's face. Aang blew air out of his nostrils instantly clearing the air. "…Lao…why?" Aang questioned as he stared at the young man who just smirked at Aang.

(Present Day)

Korra eyes snapped open and she gasped and felt sweat roll down the side of her face "whoa…that was Lao. That was Lao…I know this should be the last thing on my mind but boy he cleans up really good" Korra said to herself and smiled as she thought of the clean shaven and well-dressed Lao until a gagging sound broke her concentration. Korra rushed to the side of the box to hear Lien gag "LIEN HONEY ARE YOU OK IS EVERYTHING ALRIGHT?" Korra frantically questioned "yeah everything is good, you just said that stuff about my dad out loud is all and it got me feeling sick is all" Lien mocked and she continued to pretend to gag. Korra rolled her eyes and smirked "keep talking and ill make sure your on Diaper duty when your baby brother or sister comes" Korra joked but quickly shot her hands to cover her mouth. Korra waited in silence, waiting to hear her Daughter's react in any way. "uhh Korra… are you pregnant?… isn't that something you need to tell Lao…or Pema?" Lien questioned. Korra instantly regretted the joke as she felt her face burn uncontrollably "NO! NO NO NO NO NO…Listen im not Pregnant Lien why would you think that?" Korra asked but dreaded the question when she started to hear her daughter break out in laughter "uhh well the walls are kind of thin and you guys aren't exactly the quietest or the most subtle." Lien revealed and Korra groaned as she covered her crimson blushed face. Korra shook her head and took a deep breath, closed her eyes and continued to meditate.

(Avatar Aang)

Aang glared at the young Lao who nonchalantly smoked in his cigar and blew smoke rings. "Lao…your better than this…you're a war hero!. Sokka was so proud of you and your-" Aang Spoke but Lao raised his hand and shook his head "Don't…first off I didn't serve with Sokka I served with his father. Secondly, after the war you turned your back on me and my fellow solders…in the end you didn't give a Damn about me or my men…you just needed solders willing to give their lives FOR YOUR WAR…" Lao barked as he squared up to Aang. Aang looked down at the Furious Lao "please…don't do this…think about your family-" "THEY'RE DEAD…YOU TURNED YOUR BACK ON US AND THEY'RE DEAD…now I only look after me, myself, and I…Yakon has taken better care of me then YOU… the Avatar…" Lao grunted and slowly his claws slid out of his knuckles. Aang watch the sharp rugged Bone Claws protrude out of Lao's knuckles. Aang slowly ready himself as his hands were hidden under his cloak. Both Aang and Lao slowly started to circle one another both waiting for the other to make the first move. Lao's back slowly faced one Metal Bender. The Rookie quickly attempted to jump Lao unfortunately Lao swiftly spun around and rushed in on the Rookie "RRRRRRAAAGGGGGHHHHHH" *SHINKT* Lao roared as his Bone claws penetrated the Rookie's armor and his flesh. Lao lifted the man above his head with one hand and with the other he proceeded to repeatedly pierce the Rookie's gut and then with one deep slash he sliced through the man's stomach causing his organs to spill out and splash in a pool of blood on the floor beneath his feet. Aang shook of the sudden shock and glared at Lao. "LAO NO" Aang roared as his hand shot out of his coat and a fierce tunnel of razor sharp wind hit Lao square in the chest. The Rookie's dead body was easily swept away and crashed through the window however Lao kept his ground and slammed his claws to the floor and slowly started to make his way closer and closer growling and snarling like a rabid animal. The remaining Metal benders soon surrounded Lao from Behind. Aang focused his Airbending more on Lao causing his shirt to start to rip apart along with his flesh. Lao slowly used all his strength just to raise his head to reveal that his face was horribly being torn away. Aang was caught off guard to see Lao smiling as his face was being ripped apart revealing the front of his skull. Before Aang could wonder why Lao was smiling Lao quickly spun on his feet and used Aang's Airbending to propel himself towards the group of Metal Benders with his claws out ready to kill "RRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHH" Lao roared as he soared across the Noodle shop and collided with three Metal Benders each hand piercing through the two guards faces the third Metal Bender's face however was crushed in when Lao's skull collided into it caving in the Guard's face killing him. Lao threw the dead bodies at a few of the Metal Benders as he continued on the Assault slicing and cutting down each Metal Bender he could get his hand on. Aang felt a rage slowly build up inside him and used that rage to fuel his Firebending and spewed scorching flames out of his mouth engulfing Lao in a fiery storm. Lao roared in excruciating pain as his flesh began to melt away down to the bone leaving a scorched skeleton.

(Present)

Korra's eyes snapped open as the image of Lao's heavily burned body glued itself into her thoughts. "Whoa…Lao had his entire body burnt to a crisp…how did he survive that?...how…how could he be so cold and ruthless." Korra thought as she felt a tightness in her chest. Korra clenched her fist and rested her fist on her chest and took a deep breath "it doesn't matter who he was in the past. That's not my Lao, not the caring, loving father I know and love." Korra reassured herself as she hesitantly closed her eyes and started to meditate afraid to see what was in store next.

(Avatar Aang)

Aang watched as the Skeleton collapsed to the ground with black smoke rising from the bones. Aang clenched his fist as he starred at the dead body in front of him and cursed himself for succumbing to his rage and take a life "thanks for the Assist Toph…WHAT THE HE-" Aang began to curse but froze when he Saw Toph hover off the ground her body shaking. Before Aang could react he felt his body lock up and act against his own will. Yakon effortlessly slammed both Toph and Aang to the ground and slammed Toph out the window knocking her unconscious. Yakon then slowly turned his attention towards Aang and raised both his hands above his head and forced his limbs to bend against their joints forcing them to their limits. "you see Avatar the world has out grown you…tell me how does it feel… to be left and forgotten in history like the ancient artifact you are." Yakon gloated as he raised Aang way above the ground "y-you wont…get away with this…Yakon" Aang struggled as he fought to regain control over his body but it was to no avail. Yakon roughly laughed as he watched the Avatar's limbs twist and bend on the verge of snapping "Don't you see Avatar, Republic city is mine…and when you get to the Spirt world, tell them that Yakon sent you" Yakon said as he raised both hands higher in the air and slowly started to rip Aang apart from the inside. Aang gritted his teeth as he felt his blood and organs boil and screamed in pain as his muscles began to rip to shreds. Aang shut his eyes and whispered to himself "Katara…im sorry"…

*SHINKT*

"AAAHHHHHH" Yakon screamed in pain as he collapsed to his knees and his severed right arm fell to the floor squirting out blood. Aang plummeted to the floor and slowly opened his eyes to see a naked Lao who's muscles and skin was slowly healing over his skeleton. Lao growled as he held Yakon high above his head and looked down at Aang, Lao dropped Yakon and delivered a devastating head-butt knocking Yakon out instantly. Aang struggled to crawl towards Toph but felt a boot step on his wrist. Aang looked up to see a half-naked Lao standing on his wrist. In Aang's struggle to get towards Toph he didn't realize Lao undressed one of Yakon's knocked out Guards and clothed himself "I wouldn't waste your time there Avatar. You should heal yourself first if I were you" Lao suggested. Aang groaned in pain, his body protesting every movement he commanded "no…she is my friend…I don't turn my back on my friends" Aang struggled to say. "no you don't…just soldiers who gave their lives in your war and their families" Lao huffed in annoyance and walked towards the hole in the window and stepped out of the shop leaving Aang alone. A moment later Lao walked back in Dragging Toph by the back of her Armor with one hand and with the other he held an empty bucket. Lao dropped Toph's beaten body besides Aang and walked into the kitchen with the empty bucket. A few moments later Lao came back from the kitchen and placed the Bucket of ice cold water next to Aang and pulled out an old dish rag out of his back pocket and dunked it in the ice water and washed Toph's wounds clean. "there…I hope your wife taught you how to heal because that's all your getting out of me" Lao stated as he pulled off the bloody Parka off of Yakon's body and wore it himself. Aang summoned the water and began to heal his muscle tissue inside his body groaning in pain. Lao was just about to exit out the back "thank you Lao…I knew there was good in you" Aang said softly which stopped Lao dead in his tracks. Lao slowly turned and made his way back towards Aang and took a knee by his side glaring at him. The silence and Tension hung in the air like a thick fog…

*SHINKT*

"AAAHHHHHHHHH" Aang screamed as Lao's claw's shot out and pierced Aang's calf. Lao leaned in close putting all of his weight on his claws "your wrong Avatar…one of these days, im gonna kill you. It wont be today. It wont be tomorrow…hell it probably wont even be you Aang it may be the next Avatar after you. I will have my revenge for my family and all those soldiers and innocent people who died because you were selfish and hid for a hundred years…just not today" Lao whispered as he twisted his claws causing Aangs calf muscles to rip to shreds making Aang scream more until Lao ripped his claws out of his calf and tossed him a clean rag "now do yourself a favor, and fix yourself up…its embarrassing" Lao ordered over his shoulder as he exited the back exit and escaped Capture

(Present)

"AHHHH" Korra screamed as she leaped back and frantically rubbed and scratched her calf but calmed down when she realized that it was Avatar Aang's leg that was damaged and not hers. Korra let out a sigh of relief and rested her head against the wall of the steel box and wiped the sweat off her face.

"Korra are you ok? Did something happened?...Hello?!" Lien frantically questioned causing Korra to snort and laugh softly.

"Geez Lien…you sound like such a mom" Korra teased and all she heard was Lien growl in frustration

"you know what just for that…when I get older expect no grandchildren" Lien playfully threatened causing both Korra and Lien to break out into a fit of laughter

(Rex's Bar)

Lao sat at the Bar and wrote down name after name trying to find anyone who can help "Damn…Deadpool and Red Hood are M.I.A, the X-Men refuse to kill along with Spiderman and Daredevil. And I cant get a hold of Toeno Stark and his friend with the bow…it looks like its just me" Lao thought to himself as he crumbled up the piece of paper and tossed it to the trash can "well…I guess im doing this myself" Lao thought to himself as he chugged the last of his beer and stood up. "hey wait one second" an old man's voice called out and Lao turned around to see his old friend. "where's your girlfriend Korra and your daughter Lien?...oh don't tell me did you screw up again boy? I swear that mouth of yours is more trouble than I thought." Rex teased as he came from the kitchen drying off a glass. Lao looked at his feet and clenched his fist. Rex noticed Lao's behavior and got closer to him "Lao…whats wrong? What happened?" Rex questioned as he stared intently in Lao's eyes. "they took them…the Equalist. They have Korra and our daughter…and I don't know where to find them" Lao admitted as he looked up to see the shocked look at the old man's face. Lao noticed how the old man's once rough and leathery face go soft.

*CRASH*

Rex dropped the glass and quickly kneed Lao in the gut bringing him to his knees. Lao was shocked at the sudden strike and he slowly looked up too see the old man glaring at him "that's for being an idiot for getting yourself thrown in prison" Rex barked as he got down to eye level and placed one hand on Lao's shoulder "get up. Get on your feet boy. And wait outside my bar ill be out soon." Rex ordered and Lao nodded and headed outside. The old man sighed and went behind the bar and pulled a fake bottle. The walls that held the liquor slowly swiveled to reveal a giant wall locker with the old fire nation symbol on it. Rex took a deep breath and eyed the old photo of him and his wife "im sorry Bonnie…I know I promised…but the kid needs my help…please, find it in your heart to forgive me for what I am about to do…and give me strength" Rex whispered as he opened the locker to reveal an old fire nation armor set but instead of it being the original all black with red accents it was all white with blue accents, there were black tally marks on his armor's gloves, gauntlets, shin guards and on the sides of his all white helmet.

Lao paced back and forth and stopped when he saw the old man walk out of the bar wearing an old fashioned fire nation solider armor. "all right boy, lets get your family back." Rex stated as he slowly slid on his helmet and summoned beautiful blue flames in his hands. Lao starred in amazement at the stunning fire in his palms "wait…you're a fire bender old man?" Lao questioned in disbelief "yes I am, one of the best kid…and that's captain Rex to you kid" Rex revealed as him and Lao both started to walk away from the bar "wait do you even know where your going?" Lao questioned as he fallowed the old man "trust me kid my bar is a hot spot for some low lifes and is actually a go to place for a few Equalist, I kept my bending under raps and kept tabs on some regulars, its about time this old Fire bender pays them a visit and im sure one of them will have a lead" Rex revealed and Lao smiled and pulled out his cowl and slipped it over his head and Rex stopped in his tracks watching as Lao slid off his clothes revealing his tight black and orange super hero suit "ah so you're the Wolverine that has been seen with the Avatar. Heh I should have known it was you " Rex chuckled and grabbed Lao's clothes and tossed them in his bar and they both headed out to the city.

Jin sat on a bench in the middle of a park. He wore his black and red leather jacket, jeans, sneakers and a hat with some sun glasses to hid his face. He watched as a mom held her son's hand and they walked the trail the mother smiling and the boy giggling. Jin thought back to his mother and clenched his fist tightly causing his knuckles to pop loudly. Jin sighed "Ehem" a voice coughed catching Jin's attention and he noticed Botan was holding two ice cream cones one vanilla the other strawberry. She wore tight jeans, white T-shirt, and slip on shoes "scoot over Jin your fat butt is taking up most of the bench " Botan teased as she bumped him with her hip making him coot over. Botan handed him the strawberry ice cream cone and smiled "here you go. Strawberry your favorite just like back then when we were kids" Botan offered. Jin raised his one good eyebrow and scoffed "Botan were adults, aren't we a little bit old for ice cream in the park?" Jin stated and Botan's pleasant smile turned into a frown "do you want it or not Jin?" Botan slightly growled and Jin frowned at her behind his glasses and quickly snatched the ice cream cone from her hand and started licking the frozen treat. "hey now what do you say to the pretty lady who got you the ice cream?" Botan playfully scolded as she studied Jin's burn scar on the left side of his face. Jin rolled his eyes "thank you" Jin spoke as he kept staring at the mother and her son. Botan caught Jin's stare and sighed and slowly reached for his hand but hesitated "I bet she hates me right now" Jin spoke softly which caught Botan's attention. Jin sighed and licked the frozen treat a few times and took a deep breath "she was so proud of me being robin you know? She was so afraid I would be like my father and she was so grateful that Wayne took me in. im such a disappointment to her right now." Jin vented. Botan stared at Jin softly and instead of reaching for his hand she lightly slapped Jin against his scar and kept her hand on his cheek and took off his sunglasses and looked deep into his one good eye and his scared left eye. "Jin…your mother would not be disappointed in you. Is your life truly determined by the faults and accomplishments throughout your life? Or does it all boil down to the last thing you'll ever do? We can chose to live in many ways. We can love, we can hate, or We can help. It doesn't matter how deep you were buried its how far you've risen, its not the hardships you endured , it's the pain you overcame. Trust me Jin your mother would noe be disappointed in you in fact I think she would be proud. Proud that you started out on a rough patch, almost lost your way but was able to turn around a new leaf all on your own Jin" Botan reassured and noticed a single tear had rolled down Jin's scared cheek. She used her thumb to wipe away the tear and scoot closer towards Jin and intertwined her arm with his and rested her head against his shoulder and Jin rested his cheek atop her head and smiled softly. "EXTRA EXTRA THE AVATAR HAS BEEN TAKEN BY THE EQUALIST AT CITY HALL" a boy on a news stand shouted. Both Jin and Botan jumped off the bench and Jin quickly snatched the paper from the kid while Botan handed the child some money and apologized "no…this cant be happening…" Jin said to himself while Botan caught up to him. "what does it say?" Botan questioned as she read the title to herself "she has been taken…go suit up. I know where we can go to get some info on where to find her…and bring Wayne" Jin ordered while Botan nodded and they both headed in opposite directions.

Deadpool and Asami zoomed down the streets of republic city heading out towards the outskirts of town deep into the country side. The two pulled up to a large mansion with a security gate in front that had a giant X in the middle of the gate. Asami slipped off her helmet and whipped her hair as she eyed Deadpool who examined the gate "so tell me again why we separated from Lin Beifong and the rest of the gang to come here?" Asami questioned as she walked up to Deadpool's side and also eyed the gate which read "Xavier's school for the gifted". Deadpool dug his hands deep in his pockets then he took off one of his boots and frantically shook it "oh were here to visit a few friends of me and Lao they're practically family, we all have something special and that's what makes us all the same. Now if only I can find my set of keys to this eye sore of a gate" Deadpool explained as he shook his other boot. Asami looked up towards the mansion "wait…are you telling me there are more people like you and Lao?" Asami doubted as she asked the question. "oh yeah. You'll meet a ton of us mutants in there-AH HA FOUND THE KEY" Deadpool revealed but then shouted excitedly as his hands searched in his pants in the crotch region and pulled out a large block of C-4. Asami stared blankly at the C-4 "how did you…why did you… DID YOU HAVE A RANDOM BLOCK OF EXPLOSIVE IN YOUR PANTS THE WHOLE TIME!?" Asami barked as she felt herself losing her sanity trying to think how he hid that large explosive this whole time. "what explosive? This is my special key…I guess you can say it "blows away" the other keys out of the competition" Deadpool joked as he playfully nudged Asami's side causing her to let out a slightly annoyed and disapproving groan as she face palmed herself and slightly shook her head while hiding her small smile. Once Asami lifted her head up and saw the gate was littered in a dozen of blinking red lights and wires "…where do you hide these?" Asami questioned again but Deadpool quickly wrapped his arm around her waist and he quickly dove into safety as the gate exploded sending shards of the gate flying towards them. Asami quickly shut her eyes from the oncoming shrapnel, Asami slowly open her eyes to see that Deadpool had drawn his swords and easily deflected the shrapnel. Deadpool sheathed his blades and turned around and offered his hand towards Asami "come on lets go say hi to the rest of the family" Deadpool offered as he helped Asami on his feet. Asami noticed that behind Deadpool's mask he had a wide grin that made her unconsciously smile back.

Deadpool and Asami walked up to the front door and Deadpool eagerly knocked on the door until he heard the door knob start to turn. The door slowly opened to reveal a young teenage girl with short black hair. She wore a pink T-shirt under a bright yellow jacket, some short cut off blue jean shorts, she had large hop ear rings and wore pink shades that she rested on the top of her head. The young girl rolled her eyes when she saw Deadpool and Asami and blew a large pink bubble until it pop and she continued to chew on the candy. "what do you want Deadpool?...and who is the tramp?" the young teen asked. Asami eyes shot wide and before she could lunge at the little girl Deadpool quickly shot his arm up and used it as a barrier to shield the little girl from the fuming Asami. "Tsk Tsk Tsk Jubilee is that any way to make friends? Im shocked ole Cyclopes lets you talk this way. Now go get four eyes and silver balls" Deadpool ordered and Jubilee rolled her eyes "what you guys going on a date? Catch a bite?...early bird special" Jubilee questioned making deadpool let out a long wheezing laugh "HA HA HA HHHHHHAAAAAAAA, fake laugh hiding real pain. OH and like there is something wrong with eating before sundown or saving money? No. remember that short little hairy guy with the temper problem? The one who always says "im the best there is at what I do, and what I do isn't very nice bub" remember that guy?...the Equalist stole his girl and daughter…and you guys are going to help me get them back" Deadpool explained. "Wan is that you? " a deep voice with a heavy foreign accent " yeah it is me dipshit, and I got an offer you cant refuse. You come help me…and ill join your little boyband X-men group" Deadpool announced as Asami looked at Deadpool surprised "yeah that's right I cant wait to join the gang, and give Beast a nice little belly rub its gonna be great" Deadpool quipped. Asami slightly tugged on Deadpool's arm and she tiptoed up to whisper in his ear "umm Wan…who is Beast" Asami questioned. Deadpool smiled and leaned down and whispered back "oh don't worry you will meet him in the next chapter." Deadpool explained and Asami stared at him confused until Deadpool step inside the Mansion and took a large exaggerated deep breath " SPUTNIK LETS FUCKING GO, FUCKING MOVE YOUR ASS. ANDALE ANDALE…YOU BIG SILVER SEX TOY, YOU TAMPON CHEWING GLISTENING COMMUNIST FUCK…LETS GO…DOCTOR PHIL CAN WAIT." Deadpool shouted as loud as he could and was about to continue until he heard a giggle fallowed by a snort then a heart filled laughter. Deadpool turned around to see Asami holding her stomach laughing uncontrollably while she wiped her eyes "she…has the most beautiful laugh" Deadpool thought to himself as he smiled behind his mask. Asami slowly stopped laughing to see Deadpool staring at her and felt a blush come over her cheeks "I know I know I have a horrible laugh" Asami tried to playoff but Deadpool stepped closer and gently placed a hand on her cheek "I thought it was the cutest laugh I've ever heard" Deadpool said softly causing Asami to blush even more and smile brightly.

It was late in the evening while Mako, Bolin, Lin, Tenzin and Fang explored the underground tunnels thanks to the advice they got from Bolin. It felt like hours until they heard commotion down the dark hall. The five of them poked their heads around the corner to see a supply station with trams of supplies coming and going. One of the trams came in with a female Equalist who looked like to be in her mid teens. "everything was delivered to the prison sir" the teen reported to her commanding officer. "that's where they might be keeping Korra" Mako whispered "then we have to go down that tunnel" Lin ordered. While Mako, Tenzin, and Lin thought up of a plan to sneak in Fang pulled out his rifle and quietly twisted a silencer on the barrel of his rifle and slid a long range scope on the rail of his rifle and gave Lin Beifong a wink. Lin smirked and released her cables "on 3…ready?" Fang whispered while Lin got on her knee and placed her hand on his shoulder and gave him a reassuring squeeze "always Fang" Lin whispered. "1…2-" *THWIP THWIP* both Lin and Fang whispered simultaneously but a web shot out of the darkness and wrapped around the female Equalist and strung her up into the air. The commanding officer looked up to see a man dressed in their similar fashion hanging upside down by a web. "Boo" the Spider whispered and the commanding officer quickly pulled out his rope dart and twirled it around and just before he was about to release it to strike the spider a metallic Escrima Stick came flying from the other side of the darkness colliding to the side of the officer's head with a sickening crack that echoed through the tunnel "goodnight scum bag" a voice spoke from the shadows as a man stepped out revealing himself to be the Dare Devil. The rest of the group revealed themselves "Spider? Dare Devil? What are you two doing here?" Bolin questioned as he fist bumped the Spider "a friend invited us" Dare Devil explained and on cue a cloud of smoke appeared in the middle of them and there stood Asami and Deadpool "oh hi guys! I brought back up" deadpool greeted as he waved hello to the rest of the group. Just then a man clad in all blue with a metal visor over his eyes came walking from the other side of the tunnel and behind him walked a seven foot built man who's entire body was made out of metal. "who the hell are you two" Mako demanded as he stepped over the unconscious officer. "im Cyclops the leader of the X-men and this giant lug is Colossus" Cyclops introduced as he tap the chest of Colossus making a large metal thud echo. "that's enough small talk we need to know where the Avatar is and the only way we can know is if we question her" Lin Beifong pointed out as she glared at the young teen who dangled in front of them. The spider stepped up and cracked his knuckles "I got this" the spider whispered as he made his way to the girl "listen lady we don't want any trouble so why don't you just tell us where the Avata-" the spider stated as he pulled off the girl's mask to reveal a dark skinned woman who was most likely a water tribe descendent, her dark red hair fell graciously down her back as she glared at the spider "-rrrrrrrrrr" Spider continued as he couldn't tear his eyes away from her golden eyes, showing she was also part fire nation decedent which explained why her skin wasn't as dark as the rest of the water tribe members. Deadpool waved his hand in front of the Spider then he knocked on top of his head and turned towards the rest of the group "I think she broke Spiderman" Deadpool teased while Asami gave the Spider a sly look knowing all too well where his head was at "AHEM…spider? Aren't you going to ask the cute girl her name?" Asami teased. The Spider's face burned furiously behind his mask. "i..um yeah..well" spider stuttered causing the Equalist girl to raise her eye brow "is he normally this stupid?" the girl asked the group but they noticed a red dot move up her body and stopped between her eyes *CLICK* "the kid just has a heart…and unlike him….i don't" a robotic voice echoed from the shadows and out stepped the red hood fallowed by Batgirl. "y-your…you're the Red hood?" the girl questioned as her face went white and her body began to shake in fear "ah I believe my reputation precedes me…then you know your not getting out of this alive…unless you tell us where the Avatar is" the Red hood threatened "…you were once one of us…you know I cant tell you" the girl revealed her voice shaking "don't worry…i totally, fully intend to get that answer. But first…im going to make you suffer" Red hood revealed but the spider stood in front of the girl sizing up the Red Hood "put. The. Gun. Down." The Spider ordered "hmph…ill admit kid you got some balls, ill give you that, not many people would voluntarily step in front of a barrel of a gun for some stranger they just meet, no matter how pretty they are… Ahh hell sorry kid I know what these people are capable of…its either kill or be killed kid." Before Batgirl could speak up the Red hood aimed his gun back at the girl and took aim *BANG* the young girl's eyes went wide as she saw a fiery explosion come from the barrel of the pistol

the spider shouted and instinctively dove in front of the girl and took the bullet and tumbled to the ground towards the girl clenching his chest "SPIDER NO" Dare Devil roared as he lunged forward and attempted to strike the Red hood "YOU BASTARD" Dare devil shouted pain clinging to his heart for the loss of his young friend but Batgirl quickly redirected the attack and flipped DareDevil over her shoulder and pinned him down "EVERYONE CALM DOWN AND LOOK" Batgirl shouted as everyone in their fighting stances slowly looked at the Spider who groaned as he slowly got on his knee's and in one hand that he clenched he slowly opened and out fell a rubber bullet. Everyone took a deep breath of relief and the Equalist girl couldn't take her eyes off the man who just took a bullet for her who struggled to catch his breath "dammit kid…I wasn't going to kill her, if she wasn't going to give us what we needed I was just gonna give her a nasty bruise on her forehead…Batgirl here convinced me to bring rubber bullets instead of my regular bullets" Red hood revealed. The girl looked down at the spider then back to the rest of the group and closed her eyes and took a deep breath "…I don't know if the Avatar is down there. I just keep track and transfer the supplies…but the one person you want to ask is the Captain. He keeps track of all his inmates and where they go. If she's been through here he will know where she is at now. That's all I know." The girl revealed and Asami smirked as she saw the way she looked at the Spider. Everyone nodded and crammed on the tram, Asami however helped the Spider on his feet but he stopped to look at the girl who dangled. "you go on ahead. She did help us…I have to free her" the Spider stated but he felt like he shouldn't. Asami smiled "go. Go help her down and get her name this time" Asami teased as she entered the tram. The spider quickly turned around and jumped up to the ceiling and crawled towards where his web connected and ripped it off and gently let the girl down to her feet. The girl's feet touched the floor and the spider slowly lowered himself to her hanging by his web upside down. "there you go. Your free to go ma'am" The spider revealed as he ripped the rest of the webbing off the girl freeing her arms and legs. Once the Spider touched down she noticed that he was just a few inches taller than her, most likely they are the same age…maybe they even went to the same school. The girl thought as she stared deep into his mask. The Spider started to walk away but the girl reached out and grabbed his wrist "MJ..." the girl shouted and slightly blushed as she realized she practically shouted which caused everyone on the tram to look at the two of them. "what?" the Spider questioned as he turned back around to see the beautiful girl "you asked for my name…I cant tell you what it is…but, my friends call me MJ" the girl revealed slightly blushing "MJ huh…that's a pretty name" the spider spoke which made the girl smile brightly and start playing with her own hair "so…do I get your name?" MJ questioned as she playfully shoved the spider's chest "my name?..." the spider asked then he started to chuckle "im just your friendly neighborhood Spiderman" *THWIP* he revealed as he web swing away just in time to catch the tram before it left the station. The girl just stared and smiled as she watched her mysterious web swinging hero swing away.

The spider landed on the tram and once he looked at everyone on the cram he saw that everyone was smirking at him. The spider groaned while all the guys nudged him and started giving him pick up lines and ideas on how to ask her out while Asami, Batgirl and even Lin thought how cute they would be together which made the Spider groan even louder "OH SPIRITS ITS LIKE HAVING EIGHT OLDER BROTHERS AND THREE OLDER SISTERS" The spider shouted as they all kept playfully teasing him. Everyone giggled and that is until the tram came to the end of its tracks and what they saw next they were un prepared for.

Dozens of bodies where ripped apart and blood stained the floors and walls. Asami covered her mouth and nose as the stench of death hung in the air. Mako felt his stomach flip as he saw how the bodies were mutilated. The Spider stared in disbelief "what…what did this?" the Spider asked as all of them kept walking down the prison discovering body after body each more mutilated then the last. The group walked around the corner to see an Equalist being held up in the air struggling for air

*SHINKT*

Three razor sharp metal claws ripped through the Equalist back and he was lifted even higher to reveal Lao in his wolverine costume covered in blood. *SHINKT* Lao's claws ripped through his free hand and he started to repeatedly stab the in the gut as he kept him up the air and then threw him up in the air and stabbed him with his claws on his other hand and slammed him to the ground making a small crater into the ground and started snarling like a rabid animal. "Lao…" Tenzin whispered as he noticed Lao's fang's protrude out more than usual. Before anyone could react two more Equalist ran from around the corner with their electric gauntlets charged and ready *CRACK* a bolt of blue lightning zipped through the air and pierced through one of the Equalist's chest killing him instantly. Before the other Equalist could react a blast of blue flame scorched him into a pile of bones and ash. From the corner stepped out a man wearing old fire nation armor. "who the hell are you? And whats with the old armor ?" Mako growled as he summed his flames in his hand and sized up both Lao and the man in the fire nation armor "the name is Rex, but you will either call me Captain or sir" Rex introduced himself as he took of his helmet to reveal his old features. "what the hell are you doing here Lao?" Mako demanded "the old man here said he had an inside source to give us info" Lao revealed and Rex signaled for an old Equalist Captain to come out around the corner. "go ahead bub tell them what you told us" Lao ordered as he roughly shoved the man in front of everyone "we don't have the Avatar, we never did. The Equalist never attacked city hall…Tarrlock is lying." The man revealed "I sniffed out the entire building and searched every cell in this building. She isn't here" Lao added as he growled to himself "WHY THE HELL WOULD TARRLOCK MAKE UP A STORY ABOUT GETTING ATTACKED? " Mako snapped at Lao as he got in his face not believing a word Lao had to say "Because…he has Korra. HE FOOLED US ALL" Tenzin cut in finally putting the pieces together shocked at the realization "Lao…you were right…then that means-" Tenzin admitted but Lao placed his hand on Tenzin's shoulder "that means that Tarrlock is a blood bender like I said before…he fooled the entire city Tenzin" Lao reassured and just then the alarm for the base started to blare out signaling for reinforcements. "EVERYONE HEAD OUT THROUGH THE BACK I JUST SET FREE A FEW PRISONERS THAT WAY WE WILL COVER YOUR EXIT" Rex ordered and the group booked it down the hall leaving Lin, Fang, Tenzin, and Mako behind. "the people you set free…are they…metal benders?" Lin questioned as she stared at the old man "yes they…were Metal benders…im so sorry. If it means anything, they're safe now" Rex revealed. Fang gave Lin a reassuring hug and they both nodded and fallowed the rest of the group. "Lao… we can all escape. Come with us" Tenzin pleaded but Lao looked over his shoulder and smiled "what and miss out on all the fun?" Lao reassured as he smiled brightly making Tenzin nod softly "we will confront Tarrlock Lao I promise…and im sorry for not believing you in the beginning" Tenzin added and took off leaving Lao alone with Mako. Mako glared at Lao who stood in front of him covered in multiple victims blood "I know what your going to say. That im a monster, but you want to know something? I don't care. Ill be whatever I need to be in order to save Korra and Lien. And ill kill anyone to protect and get them back" Lao stated. Mako got in Lao's face and stared him down " that's the difference between you and me Lao… I wouldn't have to kill because I would have never lost them in the first place. After this is all said and done. After I rescue Korra. Ill make you pay for all those innocent people you killed. I was right, your nothing more than an animal. Korra deserves to be with someone better, someone who can protect her…she deserves to be with me" Mako growled. Lao snarled as he felt his rage slowly build up "KID YOU BETTER GET GOING BEFORE YOUR WINDOW CLOSES" Rex barked as he came running from around the corner and started to release an onslaught of lightning and blue flames. Mako quickly turned on his heel and made his way towards the exit while Lao turned around to see that Rex had kept a few Equalists at bay. "ready old man?" Lao shouted as he cracked his wrist and popped out his claws and grinned at the oncoming force of twenty men "just try and keep up with me rookie" Rex mocked as he flung a fireball which exploded in a large radius taking out five men "THEN LETS ROLL CAPTAIN REX" Lao shouted as he lunged over his cover and charged head first and leapt in the air claws ready, snarling like an animal. In that moment an image of himself back when he fought with Sokka's father popped in his head. He remembered the men he served with and all the previous wars and battles started to flood in his head. Then his eye sight went red, his blood boiled, the hair on the back of his neck stood on its end, his fangs grew larger. The men in front of him disappeared and all he could see was their heart beats. Lao stood in front of the Equalist. His arms down by his side. The lights in the prison slowly went out. The only thing that lit the hallway was the red blaring light that periodically blinked. Rex watched as the Equalist threw rope dart after rope dart stabbing Lao through the chest. Before Rex could move he heard Lao chuckle and saw his head slowly raise up. "GrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH" Lao roared as his muscles expanded breaking all the rope darts off his chest and he lunged into the middle of the crowd spinning his claws in circles like a deadly razor sharp tornado slicing people in half and he easily pinned an Equalist through a wall snarling and backed flipped off the man and pierced another one to the ground roaring like a wild animal. Rex smiled as he remembered back when he was young how he heard stories of a young soldier who could take out armies by himself, he never believed those stories were true… until he saw Lao turn into the legend right before him "so the legendary Berserker warrior is true…well then. Its an honor to fight along side a legend" Rex said to himself as he watched in amazement as Lao cut down man after man roaring like a mad man "once more into the fray…FOR THE REPUBLIC" Rex shouted as he vaulted himself over his cover and joined Lao by his side and acted as support as he used his lightning to kill the men right where they stood.

At the end of the Battle Rex and Lao stood back to back breathing heavily dead bodies surrounding them "I cant believe…your the legend…hehe you aged good for a man my age" Rex joked and noticed Lao was still and saw how his eyes slowly returned to normal, his fangs grew smaller, and the swelling in his muscles slowly went down. "its…a long…story…old man" Lao stated as he struggled to catch his breath. "whats next kid?" Rex asked as he took off his helmet and wiped the sweat off his head. Lao pulled back his cowl and smirked "we pay a visit to a certain water tribe member of the city council" Lao stated which Rex laughed loudly "you said it kid…lets go" Rex approved as he held his helmet by his side and patted Lao on his back and they both walked over the dead bodies.

Tarrlock paced back and forth in his office as his assistant reviewed todays reports. *BANG* Suddenly Tarrlock's office door was kicked open. The Assistant gasped as the infamous Wolverine stepped into the light covered in blood growling "Get Out" Lao ordered in which the assistant eagerly complied with and hurried out the door but he hid behind the door and listened in on the conversation. " now Lao I am a member of the council, do you have any idea what I can do to you?" Tarrlock threatened as he slowly back away from Lao not noticing his own knees shaking " really? Your going to try to act tough while your shaking in your boots? Whats the matter? Too afraid to blood bend me again?" Lao mocked as he pulled back his cowl and glared at the man before him "you have ten words, Ten. Words…to explain to me why you a council member or republic city would kidnap Korra the Avatar and our Daughter Lien, now if I don't like what you say you are going out your own FUCKING window" Lao barked as he snarled in Tarrlock's face. Tarrlock smirked softly and chuckled "Lao you don't have the slightest idea whats going-" *CRACK* Tarrlock tried to talk but was cut off when Lao delivered a devastating head-butt to Tarrlock's nose sending him stumbling back into his chair. "how many words was that?" Lao questioned and from the door stepped Rex dressed in his fire nation armor "that would be nine sir" Rex answered as he stood at attention with his arms behind his back "nine huh? You have one word left" Lao snarled at Tarrlock as he towered over the shaking water bender. Tarrlock remained silent as he glared at Lao "Really? Again?...-" *CRACK* Lao questioned as he waited for a response but then delivered a hard right hook that sent blood spraying from his mouth covering his documents "YAKON, YAKON" Tarrlock answered in pain "KEEP TALKING" Lao barked as he got closer in Tarrlock's face. "Yakon…is my father…he used to be a crime lord… you worked for him…and he was obsessed with you…I tried to distance myself from him as best as I can…I needed Korra to be on my side…instead she was against me. So…I had to take her out of the picture…they're in a safe house in the mountains the route is in my desk" Tarrlock revealed "so you kidnapped my Girlfriend and my Daughter?...to gain political power?" Lao growled viciously. Tarrlock shook as his voice trembled " careers don't forever…" Lao roughly grabbed Tarrlock by his collar and lifted him off his feet and dragged him to the window "NO WAIT WAIT NO. YOU WANTED THE TRUTH I TOLD YOU THE TRUTH" Tarrlock screamed in fear as Lao leaned him over the window and growled in his face "yeah…and I didn't like it…by the way. Tenzin knows what you are now. And he is coming for you" Lao whispered as he threw Tarrlock out the window. Rex quickly ran towards the window and saw that Tarrlock landed in a large fountain down below. Rex chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head "gonna admit. I kinda forgot about the pound that was down their hehe. What now sir?" Rex questioned as he fallowed Lao to Tarrlock's desk. Lao opened one of the draws and pulled out a map that marked out a trail that led towards Tarrlock's safe house where he kept Korra and Lien. "we get Korra and my daughter back" Lao answered and Rex nodded as they headed out to get Korra and Lien.

Rex picked the lock of the front door and as soon as they heard the successful sound of the door unlocking Lao instantly rushed in practically swinging the door off its hinges. The scent of Lavender hit Lao like a Sato mobile and he instantly looked down at the floor where the source of the Korra's sent came from. Before Lao ripped the floorboard to pieces Rex noticed a slab of stone in the wall was a different shade then the rest. He pressed his hand against it and the floor bored removed to reveal a door that led to a basement. Lao quickly attempted to open the door but it was lock "its ok sir I will just pick the lock again and-" *SHINKT* Rex explained but Lao popped out his claws and stabbed the key hole and open the door and rushed down the stairs. The first thing Lao noticed was a giant metal box in the middle of the room where Korra's scent was strongest however, he quickly noticed Lien chained up like a wild animal. The image of his daughter chained up like that triggered a memory to flash in his head,

(Lao's flash back)

Lao remembered being in a hidden base being guided around by a collar and leash like someone's personal lap dog, he remembered entering a dark room where the only light came from a giant water tank that stood in the middle of the room with needles sticking out on the inside, Lao remembered being forced and strapped into the large tank where water slowly filled up the tank and giant syringes slowly pierced into his skin and made their way into his bones "began the procedure" a voice commanded and the next thing he felt was molten hot Adamantium liquid forcedly being poured into his body and instantly hardening over his entire skeleton. The pain made Lao's body violently convulsed and kicked in his fight or fly instinct as his claws popped out on their own revealing their new deadly look *SHINKT* Lao screamed into his breather in pain until a door opened and a man hidden by the dark walked in "excellent Mr. Sato the procedure was a complete success" the voice commended. Lao heard footsteps come closer until Amon's mask was revealed to him face to face "Operation Weapon X has begun" Amon stated.

Lao quickly shook his head and rubbed his temples to help stop the oncoming migraine. Lao shook of the pain and rushed to his daughter and noticed she was sound asleep, Lao quickly cupped her face and woke Lien up " ?" Lien questioned but Lao quickly wrapped his arms around Lien and hugged her with all his strength and started to kiss all over her face "its ok baby…daddy is here now" Lao whispered and quickly cut Lien lose. Lien rushed to Korra's box but Lao grabbed Liens wrist and pulled her back and placed his finger on his lips and gave Lien a playful wink. Lien raised her eyebrow but then smirked and rolled her eyes and crossed her arms as she leaned against the wall waiting for Lao to do what he had planned. Lao smiled and walked up to the front of the box and noticed there was no way to see inside except the top that had a little opening, Lao noticed a shattered piece of a mirror on the ground and used it to peak in to see that Korra was fast asleep. Lao smiled brightly finally being able to see that she was finally ok. Lao leaned against the box and playfully tapped the metal box making Korra quickly squirm awake. Lao heard her growling in the box and fought his laughter "that's my girl" Lao thought as he cleared his throat "you know I never took you for a damsel in distress kinda girl Korra, to think the Avatar needing her boyfriend to save her? now what would the press think" Lao teased and waited for a response. At first Lao heard some shuffling then a long silence "…Lao?...is that you?" Korra questioned slightly in disbelief "why don't you look up and find out darlin" Lao continued to tease. Korra tilted her head slightly confused and looked up to see a piece of shattered mirror and in its reflection she saw Lao in his Wolverine costume that was stained in blood leaning against the box grinning at her through the reflection. Korra stood their shocked waiting to see if her mind was playing tricks with her or if she was dreaming. Once she realized that this was real tears of joy rolled down her cheek and she couldn't help but giggle "WELL GET ME OUT OF THIS BOX YOU IDIOT" Korra demanded as she wiped her tears for more to take their place. Lao rolled his eyes "alright alright stand back" *SHINKT* Lao warned as his claws popped out. Korra backed to the far end of the box and she saw three razor sharp claws pierce through the box and come down from one angle to another forming a giant X. Lao kicked the lower part of the X and stepped into the Box and laid eyes on the rough looking Korra as she stood their smiling while tears continued to keep pouring down her cheeks, finally Lao was face to face with the woman he loved, all that pressure he felt in his chest all that anxiety finally released their grip on him making him let out a deep sigh. As soon as Lao opened his mouth to attempt to mutter a word Korra quickly closed the distance practically lunging toward him. Korra wrapped her arms around Lao's neck and made him stumble backwards smacking the back of his head into the metal box while she roughly slammed her lips into his and ran her hand into his cowl taking it off and gripped his hair roughly not letting go of the man she loves, finally after so long she can touch him, finally she can kiss him, finally she can smell him, finally she can see those soft brown eyes of his that she loves so much. Korra began to sob and she hid her face into Lao's shoulder, Lao slowly fell to his knees bringing Korra down with her and he wrapped his arms around her tightly running his hand through her long hair that he loved so much. Lao cupped Korra's face and started to kiss all over her face, starting at her forehead then making his way down to under her eyes kissing away her tears then each sides of her cheeks and started leaving a trail of kisses that lead to Korra's lips that he missed and loves so much. Both Korra and Lao had to part their lips to regain their breath from all the kissing and starred at each other smiling softly " I love you" Lao and Korra said simultaneously both of them slightly embarrassed and giggled as they both reached for each other's hand and intertwined their fingers. Korra smiled shyly while Lao felt his cheeks slightly blush as he ran his thumb across her knuckles "lets go home darlin" Lao stated but Korra tugged his hand and smiled at him and pulled him in close for one last passionate kiss "my home is wherever you and Lien are Lao" Korra whispered feeling her face burn up for saying something so cliché. Lao smiled and pulled her in for a tight embrace and they both walked out of the box together "Rex?...Lien? y'all ready to go?" Lao questioned but noticed that the room was empty and there was no answer. Just as soon as Lao picked up another person's scent Rex's helmet rolled down the stairs and both Rex and Lien came down the steps hovering off the ground "S…sorry Sir…i.i failed you" Rex struggled to apologize as he felt his limbs bend backwards almost to a breaking point, Rex struggled to turn his head to see Lien's limbs in the same position "LET THE GIRL GO FOR SPIRITS SAKE SHE IS JUST A CHILD" Rex roared and in response both Lien and Rex went flying into each other than towards the wall leaving indents into the wall and they both fell to the ground knocked out. Both Korra and Lao got in their fighting positions as they saw Tarrlock walk down the steps "you two…ruined everything" Tarrlock scolded as he shot his hands forward and blood bend both Korra and Lao to their knees. Both Lao and Korra struggled to regain their bodies but it was no use "you just had to play along Avatar Korra…and you…you should have just died old and alone like my father…because of you two my political career is over my name is soiled MY NAME DAMMIT DON'T YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW LONG I WORKED FOR IT" Tarrlock shouted as he glared at the two forcing their limbs to bend in opposite positions. "now that I am being forced to start a new life…I need to cut all lose ends. And that means you two" Tarrlock explained as he bloodbend the blood off of Lao's clothes and used it to form a large cleaver "its ironic…all those people's blood you spilled to save Korra is going to be used to kill her." Tarrlock whispered in a sinister tone as he grabbed the heavy sharp ice blade made from blood. Tarrlock bloodbend Korra to lower her head and he rested the blade on the back of her neck. The sight of this set a cold chill up Lao's spine then a white rage started to build up inside of him "NO DON'T DO THIS TARRLOCK, DON'T YOU LAY A FUCKING FINGER ON HER, YOU HEAR ME YOU SONOFABITCH, DON'T DO IT" Lao roared as he struggled to fight the bloodbender's control "I am sorry Avatar Korra…lets hope you reincarnate into an Avatar who is more…corroborative next time." Tarrlock stated as he raised the blade above his head. Lao and Korra continued to struggle until Korra took a deep breath and used all her strength to turn her head to look at Lao. If this was the end, she at least want to look into the eyes of the man she loves one last time and imagine what their lives could have been, imagine their lives as a married couple. Lao continued to struggle and noticed that Korra was looking at him smiling softly as a single tear rolled down her cheek "its ok Lao…its ok…this is the end for me…I love you Lao…if our lives were different i..i would have loved to married you one day…and raise a family together…I love you" Korra confessed as Lao kneeled there in shock as his heart was slowly shattering as he witnessed the blade come crashing down towards the back of Korra's neck.

The Blade crashed into a pair of three razor sharp claws that were inches above the back of Korra's neck. In disbelief Tarrlock stared at where the Claws came from and saw that Lao somehow managed to move at the last possible second and save Korra just in time. The ice blade was trapped between Lao's claws and Tarrlock struggled to break his sword free. Lao slowly began to growl and snarl as his head slowly raised up to glare at Tarrlock "Don't touch my wife" Lao growled and flashed his fangs and he effortlessly threw Tarrlock across the room. Korra stared in amazement and disbelief as she witness Lao slowly stand on his own two feet again while she replayed what Lao said in her mind " "don't touch my wife"…i..im his wife?" Korra thought to herself as she felt her heart flutter it was as if someone took her wildest hope and dreams and made it come true. Tarrlock stumbled on his feet as he watched Lao slowly make his way towards him snarling, Tarrlock shot his hand out towards Lao attempting to stop him in his tracks. Lao felt his body get heavy but he ignored it and forced his body to keep moving. Tarrlock took a step back but noticed that his back hit the wall and saw that Lao continued to make his way towards him snarling like a wild animal. Tarrlock kept trying to control Lao but all it did was stop him in his steps for only a moment then he would continue "FINE THEN ILL KILL YOU FIRST" Tarrlock roared as he charged forward and pierced the red ice blade through the center of Lao's chest and came bursting out through his back his blood dripping off the tip of the blade. Lao grunted in pain but grabbed a hold of Tarrlock's hand and the front collar of his shirt. Tarrlock stared in horror as he noticed Lao's wound slowly heal over the blade "wh-what kind of monster are you?" Tarrlock questioned his voice shaking. Lao gripped the front of Tarrlock's collar making his knuckles press against his throat as he leaned in close to whisper

Lao's claws came bursting out the back of Tarrlock's neck splattering his blood all over the wall. Tarrlock coughed and gagged on his own blood until Lao's claws slid back into his knuckles Lao let Tarrlock drop to the floor and watched as he choked on his own blood. Lao slowly pulled the blade out from his chest and threw it into the ground shattering it into little shards. Korra felt herself regain control of her own body and once she was able to control her legs she rushed on her feet and threw herself into his arms giggling. Lao quickly caught Korra in his arms and spun her around "so…im your wife now?" Korra asked smirking at how red Lao's face got "I…umm well were obviously too young to get married but when we get older…im not gonna lie its not like ive not thought of my life with you or how we would be as a married couple" Lao confessed. Korra blushed and buried her face into his chest giggling and looked up into his eyes "I will" Korra whispered which confused Lao. Korra smiled as she knew Lao didn't understand what she meant "when you ask me to marry you when we are older im telling you what my answer is already…its yes Lao" Korra admitted which caused Lao to smile brightly and he pulled her into a tight embrace and held onto her for what felt like forever "ewww gross" Lien groaned snapping her parents out of their trance and back into reality. Lao and Korra quickly turned around to see Lien was helping Rex on his feet and they both were smirking at the two. "come on you love birds…lets go home" Rex ordered as he lead the way up the steps fallowed by Lien then followed by both Lao and Korra both of them holding each other's hand.

Amon stood in front of a wide opened door that was rumored to be holding the Avatar. Amon slowly stepped in the small shack followed by three of his men and Daken. Amon slowly walked down the steps and noticed the metal box was cut open and the indents in the wall. Amon slowly looked over and what he saw froze him in his tracks. Amon stood silently as he saw Tarrlock lying in a pool of his own blood lifeless. Amon felt his hands shake uncontrollably. The three equalist walked up to the dead council member and looked over his body "the damn bender got what was coming to him" one of the Equalist said while the other took off his mask and spat on the dead water bender's body while the third delivered a swift kick across the Tarrlock's jaw all three of them laughing. All three of them turned around ready to leave until they noticed that their leader Amon was instantly in their face. Without any warning Amon delivered an open palm strike straight into one of the Equalist nose sending the broken nose deep into his cranium puncturing his own brain. The remaining two watched in horror as they witness their leader kill one of his own men. Without hesitation Amon moved on to his next victim and kicked in his knee snapping his leg, grabbed the back of the equalist's mask and with all of his strength he delivered a solid uppercut into the man's throat easily breaking his trachea. Amon let the body fall face first and watched as the man continued to choke on his own blood until he drowned. Amon slowly raised his head and stared into the eyes of the last reaming member. The equalist thug trembled and slowly backed away ready to run for his life until he bumped into something solid. He turned around to see Daken towering over him snarling as his three bone claws shot out piercing the man's gut causing him to spit blood into his mask. Daken grinned as he saw the blood seep through the mouth of the equalist's mask, Daken effortlessly lifted the man up making him slid further into his claws causing him to scream in pain until he threw him to the floor with a loud unforgiving thud. Amon wasted no time and mounted the equalist and delivered blow after blow unleashing a nonstop ground and pound. Amon ripped off the equalist's mask and plunged his thumbs into the man's eyes with all his strength causing blood to pour out and making the man scream at the top of his lungs while the man squirmed effortlessly until all the life in his body left. Amon slowly rose and looked over his shoulder at Daken. "track them down…and beat your father within an inch of his life. Then kill his little avatar and daughter in front of him…ill go and call in reinforcements for you" Amon ordered and without hesitation Daken headed out tracking his father. Amon looked down at the councilmen Tarrlock and took of his mask, he let it drop to the floor, he slowly walked to the body and fell to his knees "…Brother…I am so sorry…sorry for leaving…sorry for leaving you and mom alone with that monster…I will avenge your death little brother" Amon apologized over and over as tears ran down his cheek as he pulled in Tarrlock's lifeless body in close and held on to him tightly.

It had been hours since Lao, Korra, Lien and Rex had left the shack. Lien had grown tired so Lao was carrying his daughter while Korra walked by his side smiling lazily her own strength slowly diminishing from the lack of proper sleep and food. "give the little to me sir" Rex asked as he extended his arms ready to accept the small child "it looks like your future wife needs to be carried the rest of the way" Rex added playfully winking as he took the child from Lao. Lao smiled and nodded as he turned to Korra who was dragging her feet through the snow "alright that's enough Darlin, time to hop on my back" Lao stated as he hunched over ready to take Korra on her back. Korra's face flushed out of embarrassment and she stubbornly walked past Lao "I can handle myself thank you very much Lao" Korra spat as she held her head up high. Lao smirked and walked by her side and gave her a gentle push which threw her off balanced and fell into the snow. Korra's stood up growling as she wiped the snow off herself "easy their Korra I was just trying to prove a point, you can barely stand on your own two feet, so quit being stubborn and hop on my back" Lao explained as he hunched over. Korra sighed and mumbled something barely above a whisper and begrudgingly climbed on Lao's back feeling her face burn intensely but she took comfort feeling his body heat against her. She smiled softly and rested her head against Lao's back and sighed "see, you should listen to me more often Korra" Lao teased but instantly regretted it when he felt Korra's teeth sink in to the back of his shoulder causing him to release a low growl while Korra giggled. "don't act like you didn't like it Lao" Korra teased while Lao huffed in annoyance "ugh I cant wait to be in our bed, I honestly think im going to sleep for three days straight " Korra quipped and smiled when she heard Lao chuckle "well you and Lien deserve it. I want you two to rest for as long as y'all want. Tenzin and the rest of us will come up with a game plan later. I think we all deserve a rest" Lao added and Korra chuckled and kissed Lao's cheek "as long as you're there with me Lao no one can stop us" Korra whispered.

"RRRRRRRRAAAAAGGGGHHHHHH"

A voice roared before anyone could react

*SHINKT*

"AAAAAAHHHHHH"

Korra let out a blood curdling scream as three deep laceration ran down her back, the force from the attack sent both Korra and Lao flying into the snow. Lao tumbled for a moment and looked up to see Korra's lifeless body and watched in horror as the snow stained with a shade of deep crimson red "KORRA NO" Lao roared as he rushed towards her but in a blink of an eye someone who wore his exact same outfit except his was black and grey stood in front of him grinning "not so fast…father" Daken revealed stunning Lao. Daken slipped off his cowl to reveal himself before his father, their face's were mere reflections of each other. Lao stared at the man in front of him dumbfounded "can..can he be my son?" Lao thought "oh whats the matter a lost for words? Im hurt" Daken teased as the pair started to circle one another sizing each other up. Daken made sure to stay by Korra's body just so he can keep the advantage "who are you" Lao asked as he stared at the young man's bone claws that was similar to his own except the young man's third claw protruded out underneath his wrist "I knew you lost your memory…but I hoped you would at least remember that you had a son…do you even remember my mother?...DO YOU!?" Daken shouted the pain in his voice evident by the hurt look on his face "I don't remember anything kid…I didn't know I had a son" Lao revealed feeling sympathy for the young man who said he was his son. Daken growled as he stared at the floor his Mohawk covering half of his face. Daken's glare reached Korra's unconscious body and he growled at the woman his father seemed to have moved on with. "it this your new…woman?...i see you moved on from my mother. Tell me…did you even love her? How long did you take to get over her? Was it a month? A WEEK!?" Daken shouted as he bared his fangs. "….im not going to lie to you…I don't lie to my children…" Lao stated as he looked over his shoulder to see Rex carrying Lien. Daken was slightly taken aback that Lao called him one of his children but shook the feeling off "…I don't remember your mother…but if you are my flesh and blood…you know this is wrong…you know your better than this." Lao pleaded while Daken's body shook "no. its…its too late for that…its ten years too late" Daken growled "bullshit kid." Rex cut in standing by Lao's side " you always got a choice, you always can turn your life around" Rex added "I had to grow up on the streets…they treated me like…a monster…YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT'S LIKE…and to hear that you been walking around with this…WHORE" Daken shouted as he spat venom towards Korra. Lao took a step closer "WATCH YOUR DAMN MOUTH " Lao shouted. The two glared into each other's eyes "im not letting you walk away from here. I was told to beat you and kill your new family in front of you…those were my orders" Daken growled. Lao lowered his head and sighed deeply "Rex…get Korra and drag her to safety " Lao whispered. Rex nodded and stepped back waiting for his moment. Lao slid out his claws and lunged at his own son tackling him away from Korra. Rex quickly ran to Korra and flung her over his shoulder. Lao and Daken rolled and tumbled down a hill stabbing and slicing each other ripping apart each other's suits. They roughly tumbled all the way down colliding into trees and rocks until they both splashed into a small frozen pond. Daken reemerged from the frozen ice water snarling as he searched for his father "YOU CANT HIDE FROM ME. I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN" Daken roared until three claws punctured through his thigh and out came Lao roaring like a wild animal as he lifted Daken over his shoulder and slammed him back into the pond. Lao used all his strength to keep his son's head under the water. His heart ached at the fact this lost soul was his son. That in a previous life he had a family, a wife, a son. In another life maybe things could have been different maybe…he could have raised this young man saved him from the harsh life he lived. But the man killed innocent people, killed his oldest friend, attacked his friends… he was an exact copy of himself just Daken lacked remorse and restraint. And that made him dangerous. Lao growled and watched the panic look in his son's eyes as air bubbles escaped his mouth. Lao growled and closed his eyes "im sorry…im sorry….DAKEN IM SORRY" Lao shouted as images of his past wife ran through his head and how he cared for his baby boy "…itsu…please forgive me and our son" Lao whispered as he opened his eyes to see the air bubbles have stopped and saw his son's lifeless eyes. Lao's heart ached as he released his group and his son's lifeless body floated. Lao clenched his eyes shut as he stood up and saw his lifeless son float away. Lao climbed the hill to see Rex mending Korra's wounds "I did the best I could sir, but she needs medical attention stat and the little girl she needs medicine as well. She is coming down with a fever. Lao clenched his fist but just as things looked grimed a flying bison flew over their heads. Lao smiled brightly "looks like our luck is about to turn" Lao stated as he lifted Korra and Rex did the same with Lien then they both ran towards the flying bison unaware of the small Equalist army fallowing their tracks.

Tenzin landed the flying bison once he noticed Lao carrying Korra and the older man named Rex carrying Lien. On the bison was Deadpool, Asami, and Mako who begged to tag along. Tenzin sighed with relief when Rex and Lao finally made it. Mako and Asami helped Rex onto the Bison once he handed Deadpool Lien. Korra groaned which broke Lao's gaze, he looked down to see Korra stirring "hey hey get some rest darlin were almost home " Lao cooed but Korra ignored him and opened her eyes to see Lao. "we….we made it" Korra weakly said giving him a soft smile. Lao smiled back and handed Korra to deadpool who helped laid her on her back softly trying to avoid irritating her wounds any more. Mako glanced over to get a look at Korra but his heart froze once he saw the three deep claw marks running down her back "what did you do" Mako questioned with horror across his face. Tenzin, Asami, and deadpool both turned around to see what Mako was looking at and the look of shock was written on all three of their faces "WHAT DID YOU DO LAO" Mako shouted flames shooting out of his nostrils. Lighting arched all around his body and right before he sent a deadly bolt of electricity through Lao's heart a powerful wave of snow striked him square in the face knocking him off his feet. Everyone stared confused until Lao saw Korra struggling to keep her head up. Korra's hand shook her energy slowly depleting. Asami rushed to Korra's side and helped her calm down "no…no one…hurts my Lao" Korra struggled to say as she released her waterbending grip on the snow. "it wasn't him…it was that dark Wolverine that attacked us…he tried to kill me and Lao…Lao saved me from him" Korra explained to everyone. Rex sighed and stood up extending his hand to help Lao on the bison

*ZIIIPPED*

Lao stared in horror as a rope dart zipped past his head and striked Rex square in his chest. Rex spat out blood as he fell on his back gripping the handle of the rope dart and roughly pulled it out revealing the blade was covered in his own blood. Lao turned around to see a small army of Equalist charging down the hill heading straight towards them. Lao saw the numbers greatly outnumbered him and his small group of friends, yet they were all getting ready for a fight. "Tenzin get Korra to safety now" Lao barked as he stepped off the bison and slipped on his cowl. Tenzin and Korra's eyes went wide as they witnessed Lao spring out his claws "no Lao we can all leave together" Tenzin shot back that is until a giant exploding shrapnel blew up a few feet from them "DO YOU SEE THOS GIANT ARTILLERY CANNONS? THEY WILL BLOW US OUT OF THE SKY TENZIN…someone needs to stay behind and make sure you get Korra out of here safely " Lao explained. Before anyone could object Lao slashed at the bison freighting it making it jerk back almost throwing its passengers off. The bison took flight and took to the air with all its strength and speed. The last thing Lao heard was Korra's desperate pleas of him not to leave her. Lao shut his eyes and pulled out Korra's WaterTribe band and smiled "this is for you Korra…I love you" Lao whispered as he slipped the band back into his pocket and took aim at the cannon's but for him to get to them he had to cut and slash his way throw the small army "bring it on bub" Lao sneered as he charged head first into the army instantly cutting through their line of defense.

Korra squirmed, kicked and punched begging her friends to let her go to help Lao but Asami used all her strength to restrain Korra as she attempted to comfort her friend. Asami looked over her shoulder about to ask Deadpool for help but noticed he was standing and he was looking over the edge. Deadpool looked down at his friend who was taking on the small army…and losing "Asami…" Deadpool started as he slipped off his mask to reveal his heavy scars in front of everyone. Deadpool made his way towards Asami and placed his mask in her hands and gave her a sad smile "whatever happens…know that …I love you" Deadpool confessed as he cupped Asami's face and kissed her deeply. Asami caught off guard smiled against Deadpool's lips lost in the moment of bliss

*Poof*

In that instant Deadpool disappeared leaving a cloud of smoke in his place. Asami stared wide-eyed as her love vanished in front of her eyes. Asami quickly realized where Deadpool was going and both her and Korra rushed to the edge looking down below to see Deadpool free falling towards Lao. The two girls watched helplessly as the ones they love sacrificed their lives just for their own survival. "…no" Asami whispered as she shut her eyes fighting back the tears.

Lao was making his way towards the cannons but feared that he wasn't going to make it in time before they fired their shot again

*POOF*

That is until Deadpool appeared out of nowhere in front of the Cannons "HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE PINEAPPLE" Deadpool shouted as he tossed the explosives he held into the barrel of each of the cannons then disappeared and reappeared by Lao's side. The Cannons exploded into hundreds of pieces sending shrapnel flying in all directions. Lao smiled "you're an idiot Wan, I can only buy you so much time to escape with them" Lao stated as he dodged and attack and countered with one of his own cutting the Equalist in half. Deadpool smiled and teleported and started to cut down the group of men then reappeared back to Lao's side defending him from an attack "yeah well I could double that" Deadpool quipped back diving Lao a friendly wink until a rope dart struck him in the shoulder. Lao nodded and the two charged Lao with his claws at the ready, Deadpool with one Katana in one hand and his pistol in the other . Lao and Deadpool leaped into the air but Deadpool grabbed Lao and the two teleported into the middle of the army grinning at their looks of shock and fear. The pair unleashed and onslaught of death and mayhem

The two fought valiantly but the two failed. The numbers were far too great and the Equalist where too well trained. The equalist were able to slip in and paralyze both Lao and Deadpool to their knees. The two were brought to Amon's feet, they were at his mercy. Amon stood over Deadpool and placed his thumb on his forehead "NO…NOT AGAIN…I WONT WORK FOR-"Deadpool screamed in pain but the deed was done and Deadpool collapsed face first into the snow. Amon slowly stood in front of Lao "I thought of killing you…or killing the avatar in front of you but then…I simply put the two ideas together" Amon boasted as he got on a knee and yanked Lao's hair "im going to erase your memory and reactivate weapon X. you will finally complete your prime objective just like you were created for" Amon whispered making Lao's eyes go wide "erase…my memory? You can do that?" Lao questioned which made Amon chuckle evilly "oh Lao…how did you think you lost your memeory the first place?" Amon whispered sending fear to run up Lao's spine and in that instant Amon pressed his thumb on Lao's forehead and drained his memories. Lao fought back but the images of Tenzin, Pema, Mako, Asami, all of his friends slowly started to disappear, tears fell down his cheeks as he slowly started to g=forget his daughter's name then her existence all together. Lao cursed and screamed as he tried to fight against his loss of memories. Lao shut his eyes close as he desperately clung onto the memory of Korra, her laughter, her smile, her beautiful eyes, her hair, her skin, her warmth, her love, but they all slowly faded away leaving Lao only to remember her name "K…Korra…Korra?" Lao whispered to himself as his memory was completely erased. Korra's impact on his life was gone, his memory of her was gone.

His love for her…

Gone.

…."who am I, and why can't I remember" Lao thought to himself as he ran his hand through his hair

Amon smiled behind his mask as Lao kneeled down in front of him an empty shell of the former man he was "welcome home…Weapon X" Amon greeted as Lao slowly looked up at him unaware of where he was "I know your afraid but come with us and all will be revealed Weapon X" Amon explained as he held out his hand. Lao stared at the hand and reached out to it and the man in the mask helped Lao on his feet. The remaining Eqaulist lifted Deadpool and carried him away. Lao fallowed the group and placed his hands in his pocket trying to remember how he got here or who he was that is until he felt something in his pocket. Lao pulled it out to see a blue armband with a tribal design on it. Amon looked over his shoulder to see Lao standing still in the snow "is something wrong weapon X?" Amon questioned as he readied himself to attack Lao just in case the Avatar's armband sparked a memory of her. Lao continued to stare at the armband and scoffed as he let the band fall into the snow "no…just thought that might help me remember but its just a stupid armband " Lao answered which reassured Amon and the two continued to walk away leaving the armband behind slowly being buried by the snow.

Holy crap guys I know im late but ive been extremely busy and I wanted this chapter to be long and great and I wanted to leave you guys on a cliff hanger but I just wanted to say thanks for those that are still reading oh and consider this next part an after credit scene enjoy guys XD

(in the mountains)

Daken's body floated lifelessly in the pound that is until a single bubble emerged from the water. Then a few more. Then the body thrashed and panicked as Daken's head shot up from the water. Daken stumbled back and ran his hand through his hair. He looked at his hands and pinched his own face and smiled softly "im…Free?" Daken questioned as he placed his fist against his stomach and made himself shot his claws into his own gut. Daken fell to his knees coughing up blood but giggling at the same time "IM FREE IM FINALLY FREE…" Daken shouted but then a thought ran through his mind "father…" Daken said to himself as he stood up and surveying his surroundings "im coming home father…im going to make this right" Daken proclaimed to himself as he clenched his fist "
