A/N: Hello again! I wanted to give a short post to those still hoping for this to continue. I believe I'm officially taking this story off hiatus.
I know it's probably frustrating that I won't have a set posting schedule for it, but I will post when I can, and that's better than never
posting at all. Thanks for sticking with me pals, it means the world.

Jane woke up happy, warm, and wrapped around the woman she loved- though that woman had no idea Jane loved her. The brunette felt Maura shift in the bed as the medical examiner woke.
"G'morning, Jane," the honey blonde croaked out, her voice raspy with sleep. She moved to get up, only to be pulled back into the bed.
"Noooooo…" Jane groaned, burying her face between Maura's shoulder blades. "Five more minutes."
"Jane, I know you. Five more minutes means another half hour," Maura replied, giggling at the brunette's antics, "and if we let that happen, we won't have enough time to get ready and get to work by eight."
"Five more minutes," she tried again, this time wrapping herself around the medical examiner like a koala and holding the other woman in place.
Maura's body shook with laughter, but she finally gave in.
"Give me two seconds to reset the alarm, okay?" she asked, struggling to wiggle her arms loose.
"No," Jane pouted and held tighter, already falling back asleep.
Maura leaned over and kissed her best friend on top of the head, shaking her own head at the brunette's goofiness. She glanced over at the clock, wondering if she should try to wiggle out of the brunette's grasp and reset the alarm again. There was really no reason to, as Maura never fell back asleep once she was up for the day. Really, though, it wouldn't hurt anything to set the alarm just in case.
Jane sleepily pulled the woman in her arms impossibly closer, breathing in her vanilla scent, and squeezing her eyes shut tighter.
"I guess that's my answer," Maura whispered into the darkness of her bedroom, as her eyes started drifting closed.
"Shoot! Shoot! Shoot! Shoot! Shoot! Jane we have to get up now!"
Jane felt hands smack at her arms, startling her awake.
"Huh? Maura?" she rasped out confusedly.
"Jane, we are so late! It's almost noon!"
This time, it was Jane's turn to panic. The brunette jumped from the bed, running to the dresser to find decent clothes. She was so thankful that Maura had given her a drawer all those months ago, so she would have clean clothes for the mornings after their impromptu sleepovers.
"What do you mean 'it's almost noon'?" the brunette interrogated as she attempted to find her boots. "I thought you reset the alarm!"
"Don't you even try to blame this on me, Jane Clementine Rizzoli," Maura scolded. "I attempted to set the alarm, but you latched onto me like a baby koala."
Jane scoffed and rolled her eyes. "I did no such thing."
"You did," the honey blonde laughed, relieving the building tension from the situation. "It doesn't matter now. Just put on your boots. I'll be waiting in the car when you're ready."
Maura wrapped a jacket around her shoulders and moved to leave the room.
Jane huffed before calling out, "What if I can't find my-"
"They're lying in the entryway, Jane," the other woman called back from the hallway. "Even though I've told you a thousand times to put them in the closet," she added quietly to herself.
Jane shook her head and stood from the bed. She should've known where her boots were. The brunette always left them in the entryway. She loved the scrunched nose and pursed lips that Maura gave her when she found them there.
The detective descended the stairs and found her black boots paired up and waiting at the bottom. A smile covered her face. Obviously Maura had done this for her. She slipped into her boots and checked her phone. Damn. Eleven missed calls from the precinct. With a little more fire in her step, the detective rushed to the car and got in the passenger seat.
"Are you sure I shouldn't drive? We'd get there faster."
"We may be a little later, but at least we'll be alive, Jane," the medical examiner joked.
"You do know this is my car, right?" the brunette laughed.
"Consider it commandeered," Maura winked and smirked, stopping Jane's heart.
"M-m-maura Isles, did you just make a joke?" the brunette passenger tripped over her words.
"I'm not all 'Google-mouth,' Jane."
"There is nothing wrong with being a 'Google-mouth,' Maura," Jane responded almost too seriously.
Maura nodded her agreement and remained quiet, knowing it was her best choice. her best friend's tone left no room for argument.
"Soo…." Frost drawled out the word, raising his eyebrows at his partner as she walked into the room.
"Soo… what?" Jane responded, not really sure what the man was getting at.
"Soo... " Frost smirked and winked.
"Is there something wrong with your face?" Jane leaned in and gave the man a close once over. "You're not making full sentences. Are you having a stroke? Korsak, is this what a stroke looks like?" She asked her old partner, but couldn't understand his answer through the laughter. The detective turned to face the rest of the room before sarcastically shouting, "Can someone get me a doctor? I think my partner is having a stroke!"
"I'm fine, I'm fine," Frost reassured the room through his laughter.
"Where were you last night, Frost?" Jane questioned as she plopped into her chair.
"Nevermind last night," he replied, "where were you this morning?"
"Home."
"Your home or Maura's home? Because I heard the doc wasn't in this morning for the autopsy and Suzie had to take care of it herself."
Jane grabbed the rolled-up newspaper from her desk and whacked Frost on the back of the head, trying to distract from the blush rising on her cheeks.
"Let's get to work, boys."
