Bonus Chapter!

Taking place in chapter 11 where Audrey & Ben have a 'serious talk' while Carlos is in the office.

Ben sighed and rolled his eyes, "I've been busy." He said lamely.

Audrey was flushing deeply, her nose twitching in annoyance, Mal was getting great joy out of her frustration; the brown haired girl shot Mal a disgusted look, "with her?" she gestured sharply to the other girl.

Ben took a long, deep breath, trying to hold down the anger in his stomach from exploding, quickly he grabbed Audrey by the wrist, "come with me."

The blond took her to the gardens he liked to spend time with Mal but it felt different to be there with Audrey.

"what's wrong with you Benny, you're acting so weird." Audrey said softly, placing her hands on Ben's chest, "is it the big game soon?"

Ben immediately removed her hands, "Audrey, we need to talk properly." He said as sternly as he could.

Audrey fluttered her eyelashes, she perched on the edge of the small fountain, looking like a statue herself.

For a few moments Ben tried to find the right words; since getting to know Mal properly he realised that his relationship with Audrey was completely fake and pointless.

A couple of times he'd tried to break it off but the girl had selected hearing and refused to acknowledge that Ben wanted to get away from her.

Ben sighed again, "this thing we've got going on Audrey, it isn't working."

Audrey looked at him blankly, probably not taking in what he'd said properly, "what thing? I don't understand."

Running a frustrated hand through his blond hair Ben decided that being blunt was the only way to go, even if he didn't want to be horrible to anyone.

"I'm dumping you Audrey. I don't love you." Ben said firmly, he wanted to mention that he had someone else but thought better of it.

Tear immediately appeared in Audrey's eyes, her small hands clenched into fists, she took a quivering breath, "I don't know what's gotten into you but I'm sure –"

"no! you don't get it!" how could she not understand anything he was saying, "I don't want you as my girlfriend anymore."

Audrey slapped him hard, it instantly stung but Ben didn't move, her crying face had no effect on him because he knew she didn't feel love for him either; it was a popularity relationship they had.

"how dare you! How dare you dump me!" Audrey screeched, trembling all over, "we have such a good thing going and you're going to throw it all away, why?"

Her look was pleading and it made Ben feel like a bad person but he couldn't force himself to be with someone he didn't really care about.

"because I can't pretend anymore Audrey, aren't you tired of pretending too?" he asked hopefully.

Audrey scoffed, "we are perfect together, both gorgeous, both popular, both smart."

"just because we're similar doesn't mean we should be together." Ben countered.

He'd seen the way Jay looked at Carlos, with so much kindness and care, and he could never deny his own deep feelings for Mal; it felt like he was hurting the purple haired girl by keeping up the charade with Audrey.

Audrey was already fixing her make-up in a small compact mirror, "we belong together Ben, you and I both know it."

Ben wanted to smack his head against the floor, "why aren't you listening?" he shouted, "I'm breaking up with you, end of story!" and he began to walk away.

"wait!" Audrey called, grabbing his arm tightly, "there's someone else isn't there?" her face was dark.

The blond wasn't very good at lying, "there is." He said softly, "I care about them very much."

Mal's smiling face entered his head, she really was a kind person with a lot of love to give; first time he'd spoken to her was when he confronted her about bullying Carlos and she had told him everything, quite angrily and forced him not to say anything but they began spending time together.

With a shriek Audrey slapped him again, cutting his daydream short, "you will always regret this decision." She said through clenched teeth.

"I won't." Ben said without thinking.

Audrey gasped before glaring at her ex-boyfriend and stormed away to the classroom; the only problem was that they were in the same class so he followed her the whole way.

On the way Ben thought about how to tell Mal about what had happened and how she would react; she'll probably laugh at how mean he had been and tease him about it for ever but if it was her then Ben didn't mind in the slightest.

The classroom was a buzz of noise; Carlos was standing in front of the whole Tourney team but there was no tension in the room until Audrey stormed through.

Just wanted to write this chapter, thought it would be interesting, also keep a look out for an extra, separate story, that will be rated M and will be about Carlos & Jay's first time :D
