"He's there!" Robin yells as he spots Little John lying un-conscious on the ground.
He moves forward with the rest of his merry men along with Hook and David running after him.
"Is he alive?" Hook asks as Robin crouches down by his friend examining the wound he must have received from the creature.
"Barely."
Hook glances down at the wound and his eyes instantly widen "I've never seen a bite like that before."
"Is this supposed to be smoking?" Buffy asks curiously as she stares at the contraption Regina had used to try and replicate the potion.
Regina turns her head towards the blonde and laughs slightly "Yes."
Buffy groans slightly scrunching up her face "It looked like it's gonna explode...plus it stinks." Buffy shudders slightly and covers her nose merely making the the Mayor chuckle "If you would put in the chickens feet then it won't smell."
Buffy glares at her before glancing at the glass contained of dead chicken feet immediately feeling like her lunch was gonna come back up "Nope. I fought the flying monkey/demon/creature thing my work here is done."
Regina merely shakes her head in amusement before pouring the powder into the glass beaker to her left.
As she mixes the liquid Buffy arches a brow "Did it work?"
"There's only one way to find out."
Buffy watches patiently as Regina downs the potion, once she was done Buffy stands "Did it work?"
Regina stays silent for a moment before her entire face falls and she launches the beaker at the wall.
Buffy winces "Anger management therapy might be an idea."
Regina glares at the blonde "You're commenting on my anger?"
Buffy opens her mouth to argue back only to realise that she really shouldn't "Touche. I'm just saying though did that Wall personally insult you in the past year or something." After a long moment Buffy sighs "We can keep trying."
Regina shakes her head waving her hands in frustration "I already used up what was left of the potion Hook gave you. There's nothng left to repliacte." Regina sighs before turning to the blonde "Speak to Red...maybe a little bit of mixing magic will help us."
Buffy nods not wanting to upset Regina any further "She's on a recon missing to Japan at the moment but I'll call her."
Regina smiles gratefully before a look of misery covers her face and she turns away from Buffy not wanting her to see her weak "I can't live in this town if Henry doesn't remember me.. That's worse than any curse I ever could have cast."
Buffy looks at the Mayor with sympathy before slowly an idea comes to her "What if we can still find this guy?"
"Haven't you been paying attention?" Regina asks in frustration as she turns back to the Vampire Slayer "I can't make any more potion I can't even begin to try again till Red gets here."
Buffy shakes her head as she stands from her seat "Yeah I'm saying put your couldrin away for a second. Think, we've been playing everyone at the moment maybe we're playing the wrong person. Look when I went after Crystal I had no idea how to find her but I made her think that I did, made her think I had something of hers..."
"She came to you." Regina realises finally getting Buffy's point she wanted to trick the person who had cast the curse to coming to them.
Buffy smirks slightly "So we're the only ones who know the potion wasn't successful but if no one else knew that..."
"They'd want to stop us." Regina says with a smirk of her own.
Buffy stands and twists the scythe in her grasp as does "Time we set a trap we just need to make sure the person with the biggest mouth in town gets the word out."
Regina couldn't help the small grin that covered her lips "I know just who to tell."
"Big news everybody!" Leroy yells loudly as he slams the front door of Granny's causing everyone to turn their startled attention to him.
"Buffy found Regina." He continues dramatically, he really did have a flare for the dramatic.
"She was holed up in her office, working on a potion."
Buffy groans as she sits in her mustang with Regina sat beside her as they continue to stare at the outside of the Mayor's office waiting and hoping for someone to finally show up.
But alas there was nothing.
Buffy was beginning to wish that she hadn't thrown out those chettos Dawn had hidden in her car.
"So, do we just...sit here and wait?" Regina asks clearly bored out of her mind.
Buffy groans and drops her head onto the steering wheel "Seriously whoever cast this curse is getting on my damn nerves I had a date with my Netflix account tonight."
Regina chuckles in amusement before glancing over at Buffy a frown on her face as she does, she couldn't believe that Buffy use to do this for her job "Is this...really what you do for a living?"
Buffy shakes her head "No, normally I'm hiding in sewers, which smell a lot worse. Or I'm running a multi-million dollar corporation."
"Oh." Regina breathes before her eyes widen "Wait you're what?!"
"Yeah." Buffy says cheerfully "Giles left me the Watcher's Council so basically I'm loaded now."
Regina couldn't help but laugh at that, the woman who had once been comfortable sleeping in the backseat of her own car now had more money than she knew what to do with.
Slowly a thought occurs to her, she wanted to know about Henry's time in New York or London or where ever they had been living.
"Does he have friends?"
Buffy arches a brow and glances at her friend in confusion "Huh?"
"Henry." Regina clarifies "Does he have any...friends in..."
"London?" Buffy asks causing Regina to nod.
Buffy smiles slightly "Yeah. Lots of friends. He was trouble though, you know British girls they love an American accent."
Regina laughs slightly she could only imagine that Henry would have loved all the attention.
Buffy shakes her head as she thinks back to their lives in London, she missed it so much, she had never wanted it to end "He spent most of his time at headquarters though. He wants to be a Watcher. But to quote him he wants to be one of those badass Watcher's. Who he was referring to I'll never know."
"So he's happy?" Regina asks as she smiles, only this time it was a sad smile, as happy as she was that her son had a good life, it was one without her in it and that killed her.
"Yeah." Buffy tells her kindly not wanting to hurt her feelings but she had to admit the truth "I almost didn't come back because of that."
"Well, why did you?" Regina asks genuinely confused as to why Buffy would give up the life she always wanted.
Buffy sighs a little unsure herself "Because..." She takes a deep breath "I remember now, remember what I've done but he doesn't. He doesn't know that darkness in me. I want to be the person he thinks I am. The hero. That's how he sees me. Tells me everyday. So I did what he would tell to me do."
Regina sighs happily as she lets out a small breathe, that sounded like the Henry she remembered, the Henry she raised "He would say that."
Buffy sighs sadly and glances over at Regina she couldn't help but feel for her, it must be killing her watching Henry from a distance "Are you sure you don't want to meet him?"
"It would be too hard." Regina says honestly and Buffy merely nods, she knew what Regina was feeling because it was exactly how she had felt those first few months in Storybrooke being near the kid she had been forced to give up but not really being with him.
She turns her head to the side trying to figure out what to say but suddenly she spots it, a shadow moving around in Regina's office.
"We got to move." Buffy says quickly as she grabs the scythe.
Buffy twirls the scythe in her grasp as her and Regina approach the office door prepared for a fight.
"You sure this guy can't escape." Buffy asks curiously as she raises the scythe.
Regina shakes her head as she approaches the door "I sealed it with a blood lock. It can keep you out or it can keep you in. I know what I'm doing."
"Just wanting to know if I'm gonna need to start slicing and dicing." Buffy says with a shrug as she twirls the scythe once more before staring at the door.
"You don't mind if I break the door right?" Buffy asks as Regina opens the magical lock on the door.
"I'd prefer it if you didn't. You've broken enough doors in this town that I've had to pay for."
Buffy rolls her eyes but allows Regina to open the door instead which just makes her pout slightly, kicking down the doors for the dramatic entrance was one of her favourite things.
Not that she'd ever admit that.
Following Regina inside the two quickly spot Regina's equipment from earlier now in shambles all over the floor.
"Whoever this guy is they clearly don't have a problem making a mess." Buffy mumbles before she hears movement behind her, she immediately spins around and launches the scythe towards the clocked figure intent on pinning them to the wall but to her shock and surprise the figure disappears in a puff of green smoke while the scythe buries itself in the wall behind where they had been stood.
"What happened to no blood magic can't escape?" Buffy hisses at Regina who was still staring in shock.
"No one can break through blood magic." Regina breaths out in horror, this was worse than they had feared "No matter how powerful."
"Then who the hell or what the hell is this thing?"
As they approach David and Mary Margaret's apartment Regina places a hand on Buffy's shoulder stopping the blonde in a panic before she could open the door.
Buffy frowns before glancing at Regina who had a petrified look on her face "Maybe this isn't a good idea."
Buffy shrugs "Most of my ideas end to be a bit hit and miss."
When Regina's eyes widen at her words Buffy merely smiles before quickly opening the door before Regina could stop her.
Regina glares at the blonde but follows her inside stopping at the beginning of the doorway as Buffy walks further into the room.
"Yo, Watcher of mine." Buffy says cheerfully as she walks over to her son who was perched on the couch with a book in her hand.
Henry smiles over at her and places the Watcher's Diary down before standing "How was your day?" Buffy asks him.
"Good." He says honestly "Storybrooke kind of reminds me of Sunnydale, it's weird but you know no demons trying to kill us so that's a plus. It's like Sunnydale new and improved. The 2.0 edition."
Buffy shakes her head in amusement "You're starting to sound like Xander."
"You say that like it's a bad thing."
"Because it is." She responds flatly before she remembers the whole reason she was here.
"Did you know there's a library in the clock tower?" he asks her curiously still a little bit weirded out by that, it was an odd place for the library.
Buffy smiles "Better than a library at the mouth of hell."
"True."
Buffy shakes her head in amusement before throwing an arm over his shoulder and leading him towards Regina who was standing there playing nervously with her hands.
"This kid, is Regina Mills." Buffy informs him causing the brunette boy to glance up at his mother in confusion "She's The Mayor of this town and um...wanted to meet you?"
"That sounded like a question." Henry argues but Buffy glares at him.
"Wasn't a question, it was a statement."
"Really?" he sasses arching a brow at her, which just made her slap him lightly in the back of the head which earned a chuckle in response from him.
Henry turns back to Regina and smiles at her with a confused frown "Did I do something wrong? My mom's usually the one that gets into trouble with Mayors."
Buffy rolls her eyes glaring at her son slightly before turning to Regina watching as the brunette swallowed the lump in her throat.
"No. You're mothers just told me a lot about you." She says forcing a tight smile on her face "I hear you like school. And that you're planning to be a Watcher."
"Um...yeah." Henry says slightly wigged out, he couldn't understanding why this woman needed all this information "Why did she tell you all this?"
"Because she couldn't be prouder of you."
Slowly Regina inhales sharply "While you're in town I was think maybe I can give you a tour sometime—you know, show you around. Maybe we can even stop of ice cream."
Slowly a smile covers Henry's face and he chuckles lightly "Yeah, I'd like that. So...um...it was nice meeting you."
Regina smiles and moves in for a hug only to freeze as Henry as holds out his hand towards her for a formal handshake.
Regina clenches her jaw and hides the hurt in her eyes as she shakes his hand.
Buffy sighs sadly before tossing her phone to Henry "Kid can you call your aunt Dawn...she's been bugging my phone all day."
Henry nods before taking his mom's phone and leaving the room heading upstairs.
"Are you okay?" Buffy whispers softly to Regina who merely shakes her head head "No. But it's a start."
Buffy sighs from running a hand through her short hair however before she could get another word in the front door slams open and Hook and David run inside.
"Dramatic much?" Buffy asks as she folds her arms and stares at the two grown men.
David sighs "We need to talk."
"They're being turned into flying monkeys?!" Mary Margaret hisses in shock after David and Hook had finished explaining what had happened to Little John at the hospital.
"Yes." Hook says for what felt like the 7th time in the past few minutes "He took on simian form with the added bonus of wings."
"Do you think that's what happened to the missing dwarf's, too?" Snow asks her husband.
David nods sadly "it would explain why we haven't found any trace of them.
Buffy who had remained relatively silent merely just shakes her head this could not be happening, for the sake of her sanity, she refused to believe it.
Regina sighs "The person who was in the office disappeared in a puff of green smoke and now there are flying monkey's in this town...I think I know exactly who cursed us—"
"NO, no, no, no did I mention no?" Buffy says loudly finally speaking drawing everyone's attention to her "I cannot lose my sanity. The Wicked Witch and flying monkey's are not real okay. Everyone good?"
"Buffy..." David tries but suddenly Buffy's eyes widen in horror as she finally realizes something.
Instantly she groans in disgust and clutches her stomach feeling physically sick "Oh God..." She moans "...this means that I've be sleeping with a fly—" Buffy pauses as she realizes everyone now staring at her David and Snow looking several disturbed while Hook for some reason was clenching his fist.
She quickly clears her throat and corrects herself "Dating I mean dating a flying monkey. I think I'm gonna be sick."
"Buffy focus." Snow reminds her but Buffy merely runs a hand through her hair again "The Wicked Witch is real." She states again basically trying to convience herself of it.
Hook couldn't help but arch a brow at the blonde "Says the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming who also happens to have superpowers."
Buffy glares at him "You're not helping my sanity here."
She glares at the pirate for another moment before shaking her head and shrugging her shoulder "I don't get it of all places to come why would the Wicked Witch of the West wanna come to Storybrooke?"
