Alright alright, long wait with no explanation equals annoying. I'm sorry, fact is not only do I have less time now (I got a full time job.) but this chapter... what can I say, this chapter mainly consists of fight scenes and I'm not particularly good at those. But I have a soft spot for this idea, when I finally started to move away from just using the pictures for idea and doing my own thing, this was one of the first ideas I had (which is also why it barely connects to the plot). Okay so, long wait for arguably one of my lesser chapters, but hey, I already made it up to you. What do I mean by that? Go check out Attack of the Shadow Wraith when you're done with this.

The twins were hanging out at the arcade with Greyson and Cadbury. After everything that happened the past couple days, they needed a break. Dipper was playing 'Mortal Fite 2' and was on the last level fighting the final boss, Shong Tusung. Both down to their last life but Dipper's charter having a more health than his opponent as the others cheered him him on.

"Ya Got This Dude He's Almost Dead!" Greyson yelled.

"It's so close! How'er you so good at this?" Cadbury asked.

Dipper grinned but kept his focus on the game. "Lots of practice." He said rapidly hitting the buttons.

Mabel smiled. "He plays this game all the time back home. I could never figure it out, or... I could never figure out the moves. Up Up Down Quarter-Circal-Back... Right... Blaa, I can never remembered. So I just spam punches, kicks and jumps."

Dipper glanced at her quickly before looking back at the screen. "You're good at the newer games."

Mabel chuckled at that. "I'm Okay at the newer games. I'm alot better at Bash Bros."

"Yeah you are." Dipper said with a laugh. He focused back on the game and delivered the finale blow to Shong Tusung.

"Destroy Them" Dipper smirked and put a code in, making his charter rip off the head of Shong. "Eviscerated" The game said.

Dipper laughed and jumped back. "Yes! I Got Him!" Dipper said excitedly.

"Way to go dude!" Greyson said.

Mabel smiled at them then glanced back at the game, noticing something. "Uh hey Dip, I think something is still going on with the game." She said.

"What?" Dipper asked walking back up to the arcade machine.

Indeed she was right, a text box had appeared on the screen. But this was alittle more than a 'Conglaturation'. 'Well done champion, you have made your ways though the ranks and defeated all who stood in your way. But there is one more trial you can take to truly prove your power and superiority over the land. Do you except the challenge?' Below the text were two options, Yes and No.

Mabel looked alittle confused. "I thought Shong Tusung was the finale boss in this game. Is there someone else?" She asked.

"Don't know." Cadbury started. "Never got this far in the game before."

"I bet it's a hard mode or something. Ya know, go back and fight all the guys again only now they're all Supper Tough." Dipper said.

"Oh that makes sense." Mabel said

"You gonna do it?" Greyson asked.

Dipper smiled and shrugged as he flipped over to the 'Yes' option "Yeah sounds fun." He said clicking the option.

"Very Well." That wasn't text, it was voice similar to the voice that starts every round in the game. Then a bright light shinned from the screen of the machine and before any of them could even react, they were somewhere else.

Dipper sat up and rubbed his eye. "What happened?" He asked looking around. It looked like they were in a cave, but there were bones strewn about the floor and chains along the wall. Dipper was about to freak out until he realized this was the loading screen for Mortal Fite 2, which just freaked him out even more. Dipper jumped up and looked around quickly finding the other. "Hey, are you guys alright?"

"Yeah, I'm good." Greyson said getting up. "Uhh, where are we?" He asked.

Dipper walked up to them. "I think I have an idea but we should really-"

"Welcome Champion, to your greatest challenge yet." Called out a deep voice.

Dipper and they others turned in it's direction. The voice came from an odd looking being. It looked like a staticy glitched charter from the game. "Who are you?" Dipper asked.

The being chuckled. "I am your challenger. Call me AI" It said.

"What the heck is going on, where are we?!" Cadbury demanded stepping forward.

"Can't you tell? You're all inside the game." It said.

"Uh two questions." Mabel started. "How and Why?" She asked.

"If I explained to you How your little human brain might explode. But they why?" It looked down then back at them. "Well what kind of challenge would it be if you were just hitting buttons? So I brought you inside the game."

Dipper looked around and rubbed his head before looking back at the being. "Uh buddy... I admire your confidence me. But just because I'm good at fighting video-games, doesn't mean I'm good at fighting in general." He said with a nervous chuckle.

"Oh trust me, you'll find that you can fight just as well here as you can controlling your little charter." It said.

"Well why did you bring Us here? We weren't playing." Greyson asked.

AI looked down at them. "In all honestly I didn't mean to, I didn't even know you were there. I am only aware of the person playing the game, I can't actually see or hear outside the screen, that's not how it works. I suppose you were alittle too close and so here you are."

Dipper stepped forward. "Well they have nothing to do with this. Let them go." He said trying to sound calm.

"Dipper..." Mabel started.

The being was quiet for a second then chuckled. "Tell you what, they can leave if you really want. Or, they can stay and help you. They might be trapped her forever, but you will have a better chance of beating me."

Dipper's eyes widened. "Trapped Forever?!" He said before looking down. "No way, there's No way I'm-"

"Hold on a second." Cadbury said cutting him off. "Can we ask talk about this along for a minute?" He asked.

"Very well, take your time." It answered as they walked away.

"Not happening, I'm not risking it." Dipper said looking down.

"Come on dude, we got a better chance if we stick together." Greyson said.

"And we know how to play." Cadbury stared. "We can help."

Dipper looked at them then shook his head. "You Two can." He said before glancing at Mabel.

Mabel looked at him. "I'll be fine Dip, it'll be easier if we work together, right?" She asked.

"Yeah... probably." Dipper rubbed his head and sighed. "Alright alright, lets do this." He said before turning to the being. "Alright , we're ready."

"Excellent." AI started. "Now, since I am in fact aware that this is a different situation from what you. I will allow you each One practice round. You can test your skills and get use to the format."

"Gee thanks." Cadbury said rolling his eyes.

"You are welcome." The being said completely unaware of the sarcasm in his voice. "Now, Choose Your Character. I shall wait for you in the fighting arena." It said before disappearing.

The group looked around before looking back at each other, then Greyson spoke up. "Well how are we suppose to pick-" Before he could finish a bright light flicked on several feet away.

The others looked at each other before walking up to it. On the ground was a large version of the characters select screen shone. "I guess that's how. Who are you guys going to pick?" Cadbury asked.

Dipper grinned and walked around. "I know who I'm going with, Freezer!" He said walking over to the picture of a blue clad ninja character. He stamped on the picture a few times before jumping on it causing it to glow brighter causing him to change to the ninja outfit. "Awesome!" Dipper said with a laugh.

"Alright alright where is he?" Greyson asked looking around the screen. "There He Is!" He said jumping on the picture and changing to the form of a Mixed Marshal-Artist, with robotic arms.

Cadbury looked over the character. "Then I guess I'll go with LuChan." He said jumping on the picture of a Kung-Fu fighter. "Alright lets take this guy down."

Mabel rubbed her head and looked around, not quite who to choose. 'Uhh, eenie meenie miney moe.' She said before jumping on the image of green ninja looking character. 'Good enough.' She thought to herself. "Are you guys ready?" She asked.

"Yeah, lets show this guy who's boss, Cm'on!" Dipper said with a grin. "Alright Staticy Guy, Lets Start This Thing."

"Very well, lets begin the practice rounds." Suddenly the area suddenly and almost randomly transition to a fighting platform.

"Geez! Could ya warn us next before you do that?" Greyson asked getting his bearings.

"Silence!" The being spoke. "Which one of you will fight first?" It asked.

"I got this." Cadbury said stepping forward.

"Very well, your opponent will be..." AI said before snapping it's fingers casing a default sprite to cycled though the different characters. Ending on a bald one with blades coming out of it's arms. "Gorocka."

Cadbury sighed. "Great, I get Wolverine's demonic cousin."

"Ready, FITE!" Said the announcer. Gorocka took a step forward. "I Will Destroy You!" He said before charging forward.

"Alright come at me Blade." Cadbury said before blocking Gorocka's first attack before throwing a punch of Gorocka back. 'Huh, this really does control like the game.' He thought. Gorocka fired a lazier like blast hitting Cadbury. 'Oww, okay you don't Feel that in the game.'

"Come on Cadbury, you got this!" Greyson yelled.

Cadbury took a deep breath. "Alright I think I have an idea." He said quietly. Gorocka charged him again before Cadbury jumped up and managed a bicycle kick. "Haha, That Was Awesome!" He said excitedly.

Gorocka stubbing back and grunted. "Ghaa, You Little Brat! You're gonna pay for that!" He yelled.

"Am I?" Cadbury asked with a smirk as Gorocka prepared his next attack. Gorocka launched another lazier which Cadbury blocked before upper cutting him and and knocking Gorocka out. "Yes!"

"Way to go Cadbury!" Dipper cheered.

AI nodded. "Well done."

"Wait, I thought there was suppose to be two or three rounds per fight in this game?" Mabel said.

"Do you want me to drag the game out even longer?" It asked.

Mabel was quiet for a second. "...No."

AI looked at the others. "Alright which one of you is going next?"

"I'm Going Bring It On!" Greyson yelled as he ran to the fighting stage.

"Hmm, alright then." AI said before waving it's hand. It summoned a four armed humanoid looking women.

"Shella."

"Rraaa! Who Dares Challenge Me?!" She yelled.

Greyson sighed. "Okay great... Come On Lets Go!" He yelled back.

"Ready, FITE!"

Immediately Shella jumped up into the air to slam onto Greyson then jumping back. Greyson winced and laid there for a second. "Ow..."

"Get up you pig!" She yelled.

"Name calling huh?" Greyson said getting up. "Alright take This!" He yelled before slamming her into the back wall.

Shella punched him and kicked him back. "That's better." She ran forward and went to through a bunch of punches forcing him to block it. "Man up why don't you?!"

"If you insists!" He said before throwing a hard punch knocking her back.

"Go Greyson!" Dipper said excitedly.

"No Mercy!" Cadbury yelled.

Shella grunted and glared at them. "Silence you worms!" She yelled at them. She turned back to the fight only to be hit back again.

Greyson stepped forward and slammed his hand into his fist. "Yell at my friends again and see what happens." He said gruffly.

Mabel smiled faintly at them then looked back at the fight. 'So far so good, I think we got this.' She thought to herself.

Shella jumped up and went to slam on top of him again but Greyson was able to move out of the way this time and upper cut her. Greyson grinned and stepped back. "Alright lets Finish this!" He said winding up for a punch. "Bullet Punch!" He yelled before charging into at a lightning fast rate.

Shella collapsed to the ground before disappearing entirely. The others cheered and laughed. "Great job Greyson!"

Greyson grinned and walked back. "'Nother down, who's next?" He asked.

I got this, I'll go next." Dipper said walking to the fighting area. "Who am I fighting?" He asked.

"Hmm, lets try this." It said waving it's hand, causing another ninja character to appear. This one dressed in yellow.

"Tarantula, the icon of the game." Greyson said.

"AKA the base set character with evenly distributed stats that's not too difficult to use." Mabel said with a faint chuckle.

Dipper stepped forward. "Alright, I can handle this."

"So sure about that are you?" Tarantula asked.

"Bring it on Spidey." Dipper said with a grin.

"Ready, FITE!"

Rather than charge forward Tarantula shoot a large web and tried to pull Dipper to him. "Come To Me!"

Dipper was quick enough to get a grip on the web himself. "How about no?" He said before slamming Tarantula into the ground. "Can't do That in the games." Dipper said with a laugh.

Tarantula grunted and got up. "Very well done, but it will take more than that to beat me." He said before throwing a fleet of punches.

"Well yeah, it takes more than one hit to beat Anyone in this game." Dipper said with a grin as he blocked all of Tarantula punches.

Tarantula stepped back and got ready to throw another punch before Dipper covered the the ground with ice, causing him to slip and fall. "Watch you step." He said with a chuckle before kicking Tarantula.

Tarantula grunted and got up. "I'm not down yet."

"But you almost are." Dipper said with a grin. Tarantula had less than a third of his health left, and Dipper hadn't been hit once. Tarantula went to throw another punch only to be frozen in his tracks by Dipper. Dipper chuckled and delivered one final punch, causing him to shatter. "Ya gotta love ice physics in games." He said walking away from the fighting arena.

"Very good..." AI started. "Now that leaves one of you. Shaw we begin?"

Dipper stopped in his tracks. "Oh no no no, I think we're fine. we're ready." He said quickly.

"Really, are you sure?" It asked.

Mabel looked at her brother. "Dipper..."

Dipper walked up to her. "Come on Mabel, you're not gonna figure out how to fight in this game in One round. I don't want you getting hurt... or worse. We got this, it's three on one. We'll be fine." He said with a grin.

Mabel sighed but smiled faintly. "Alright fine, just be careful."

"We will, don't worry." Dipper said before grinning and turning back to AI. "Okay buddy, lets start this Boss battle."

"Very well, it's your decision. " It said before teleporting itself to the arena. "Let us begin. Who wishes to go first?" It asked.

"I Got This!" Greyson said stepping forward.

"You sure?" Dipper started. "You just went."

"Don't worry, I'll put this guy in his place." Greyson said with a grin.

"Very well." AI said taking its place in the ring, it stood still for a second before taking a stance. "If all four of you can manage can to knock me out, I'll let you all go. Regardless of who I beat in the process. But if I beat you all, you'll never leave this place."

"'Nough talk big guy." Greyson said rubbing his fist.

Mabel wasn't so sure about this. AI was taking a big risk. Four on one, what was he planning? Three of which he's seen have decent skill. She kept expecting him to increases his health bar by an insane amount, or become a giant or just... Something that would give him an advantage and pull the rug out from everyone's feet. But... nothing happened.

"Ready, FITE!"

"Raaaa!" Greyson charged forward preparing for a hard hit, which AI easy dodged.

"So predictable." It said before delivering a sharp punch then kicking him.

Greyson was knocked to the ground and grunted. He got it and glared at AI. "Yeah? Well predict This!" He yelled trowing another punch. AI stepped back out of the way before launching a counter attack. Greyson winced and stumbled back. "Grrr, Hold Still!"

"Very well." AI said before holding his ground and stopping Greyson next punch then flipping him over, slamming him hard on the ground. Greyson was already down to half health, and AI had barely a sliver of damage.

"Greyson come on get up!" The others yelled.

This, was AI's advantage. Not some supper power, not a cheat or overly high stats. It was genuine skill and knowledge.

AI kicked Greyson as he was trying to get up then picked him up. "You're going, to have to do better, than That." It said before punching him and slamming him back into the ground, knocking Greyson out.

"Greyson! You alright dude?" Dipper asked.

Greyson winced and sat up. "Yeah, I'm okay. But, wow, I didn't do much. I barely did any damage."

AI stepped back. "Who's next?" It asked.

Cadbury walked up to the fighting area. "I'll deal with this, don't worry." He said.

"Very well." AI stood still again before taking it's stance once more.

"Ready, FITE!"

Cadbury wasted no time getting to AI but was caught off guard when it immediately backed up, giving it a chance to launch a projectile attack. Much like how AI had no character design and just had a human-esk body made of static, all his attacks where the same. No appearances, no animation, just a staticy ball that did damage if it hit you. A good sing he was not from this game, just some creature who possessed the arcade cabinet, or perhaps was trapped in it, and learned how to manipulate it.

Cadbury rubbed his head and got up after being thrown a crossed the room. "Well come on, what's your next plan?" AI taunted. It countered every move Cadbury made. Now it stood waiting for his next attack.

Cadbury took a deep breath and looked around. He ran forward and as expected AI quickly jumped back getting ready to counter. But it was caught off guard when instead of some close range Cadbury used a flying jump kick, hitting AI dead on and knocking him back, taking a good chuck of health with it. "Haha! Gotcha!"

The AI grunted. "Indeed you did." It said rubbing his head. It suddenly got up and through a projectile attack at him in a flash. "And it will be the Last time..." It jolted forward with a teleportation attack. "You Do!" It yelled before slamming him into the wall. Knocking Cadbury into the wall and dropping his health to zero.

"Oh no..." Mabel muttered to herself. This wasn't going well. AI had a chunk taken out of it's health, and nothing more. And they were running out of people. Mabel glanced at her brother. "Dipper maybe I should-"

"Mabel no, don't worry. I got this, this guy can't take me." Dipper said with a grin before turning to AI. "Alright then, lets start this." He said stepping forward and clenched his fist.

"Gladly." AI said raising it's arms.

"Ready, FITE!"

Dipper immediately jumped back which was a good call since AI quickly rushed forward to attack. Dipper froze him with an ice blast attack and knocked it back into the wall.

AI rubbed it's head. "This should fun." It said before before launching a projectile attack at Dipper.

Dipper just barely blocked the attack. "Won't be fun when you lose." He said, just as Dipper was about to do something else AI slammed into him and it him back.

"What did you say?" It said with a chuckle.

Dipper glared at him, he was at half health as was AI. "I Said..." AI rushed forward to hit him again but Dipper ducked this time giving him a chance to upper cut AI and knock it down. "Won't be as much fun when you Lose!"

AI grunted and stood upright again. "Very good, everything I expected."

Dipper didn't plan on giving him time to complete his thought and charged forward to hit it but AI stopped him in his tracks by blocking his punch.

AI looked up at him. "But not quite good enough." It said before flipping Dipper over and slammed on the ground.

Dipper winced, while AI was right about them being able to fight with no problem, the pain made this a lot harder.

"Dipper Get Up!" Mabel yelled.

"Come On Dude!" Cadbury and Greyson both yelled.

Dipper winced and propped himself up as AI walked up to him. "I know every fighting stile. I have studied, practiced, and leaned defensive and offensive strategies for all of them. I know every character, all there powers and how people like to use them. Which means..." Dipper went to hit him but AI stepped back. It clenched it and slammed into Dipper had, knocking his health down to zero. "You can't win."

"Dipper!" Mabel rushed over to help him up with Greyson and Cadbury close behind. "Are you alright?" She asked.

Dipper grunted and sat up. "Yeah I... I'm, guys I'm sorry. I didn't expect him to..."

"Don't worry about it dude." Greyson said.

Dipper glanced around then looked back at AI "Let them go, I shouldn't have gotten them involved. They have nothing to do with this."

"A deal is a deal boy. Besides, why are you begging now? You haven't lost yet." It said looking Mabel.

Mabel was quiet for a second then nodded. "Alright." She said getting up.

"Mabel wait." Dipper said grabbing her arm. Mabel gave him a look that made him go quite. They didn't have a choice, it was either fight or be trapped forever. He looked down then back at her. "Just... be careful." He said quietly.

Mabel nodded and walked to the fighting arena. "Are you ready?" AI asked. Mabel nodded.

"Come on you can do this!" Greyson yelled.

"He's down to half heath, just play your card right and you'll be fine." Cadbury said.

Mabel wasn't so sure about that, but she had to try. "Ready, FITE!"

AI went to back up expecting her to attack first, but she didn't. She just stayed put and blocked. "What are you- Ghaa!" He was cut off when Mabel hit him with a basic projectile attack. AI winced and stumbled back. "Sneaky little girl."

It went to hit her but Mabel ducked under it, then stayed crouched down so he couldn't hit her. "Get, Up!" It said punching a few times expecting her to do so.

Mabel didn't know to many moves, but she did know one. "How about thins instead?" She said before upper-cutting AI and knocking it back. Mabel stood up and chuckled.

The three watched in shock."She's... actually doing it." Cadbury said.

"Okay, don't get me wrong. I'm glad she's wining it's just... How?! This guy schooled all three of us how's Mabel beating him?" Greyson asked in disbelief.

Dipper was quiet for a second then grinned. "AI knows every fighting stile and strategy and how a competent player uses a character. But Mabel doesn't have a strategy. She doesn't have a clue what she's doing, so AI Definitely doesn't know what he's doing." He said with a laugh.

AI grunted and got back up trying to hit her again but Mabel went back blocking. "Quit Blocking!" It yelled.

"No, you are attacking me." Mabel said backing up.

"You're suppose to block Then try to counter!" It growled.

"Don't Listen To Him Mabel! It's working!" Dipper yelled from the sidelines still grinning.

"Yeah just keep doing what you're doing!" Greyson called.

"You got this!" Cadbury said after.

Mabel backed up and shoot a projectile attack hitting AI before blocking once again. AI was down to a sliver health.

AI went to block the next projectile attack and was about to attack again but he was hit again, then again, and again. "Quit Spamming!" It yelled.

"What are you going to do about it?" She asked with a slight smirk, launching another attack.

AI managed to get a second to act and jumped over her next attack before slamming into her. "Enough Of This!" It yelled, it went to charge another another attack but stopped when it saw Mabel blocking again. It grunted. "All right, I can play this game too girl! I have all day, I Can Wait!" AI said, keeping it's attack charged.

Mabel was quiet for and glanced up before smirking at AI. "Actually, you have about ten seconds."

"What?!" AI said looking up. "The Timer! I forgot about the timer!" It yelled in a panic.

"And I have more health than you, guess you should of considered that before challenging four people." Mabel said with a chuckle.

AI looked back at her and growled. "Why you Little-" It yelled before throwing the projectile attack, but it stopped half way when the timer hit zero.

"Victor Player Two" The game voice called out.

Mabel relaxed and smiled before feeling someone grip her in a tight hug. "Mabel That Was Awesome!" Dipper said with a laugh.

"Way to go dude! You took him Down!" Greyson yelled.

Mabel chuckled and rubbed her head. "I just waited him out, it's not that impressive."

"Regardless, it worked and we won." Cadbury said before turning to AI. "Which means you have to let us go."

AI clenched it's fists. "It's not fair." It said angrily.

"Ahh get over it ya sore loser." Dipper started with a wide grin. "Mabel won fair and square, deal with it."

It looked down and grunted. "You will Pay for this, you hear me, I'll Make You Pay!" It said before transporting them back to the arcade in a flash of white.

The group looked around and found them back in the arcade. "Alright We're Back!" Greyson yelled pumping his fists into the air.

"Oh thank goodness." Mabel started. "How much time has passed Dip?" She asked looking at him.

Dipper chuckled the time and glanced outside. "Not much, 'bout thirty minutes." He said turning back to them.

Cadbury nodded. "Good, so no one is going to be worried about us. That being said we should head back."

"Right, we told Ford we wouldn't be gone too long. We shouldn't stay out too long." Mabel said, after everything that's happened recently Ford might start to think they were attacked or something if they take too long.

"See you guys later." Dipper said as they started to leave.

"Bye!" Greyson called out before heading off the other way back into town.

Dipper smiled and stretched his arms. "Man that was crazy, wonder what that thing was anyway. I mean, I highly doubt that was something programed into the game." He said with a chuckle.

"Definitely not, I wonder if Ford knows about it." Mabel glanced down and rubbed her head. "I wonder what it meant by 'I'll make you pay.'" She said.

Dipper smiled and nudged her arm. "Hey don't worry about it, you beat it once you'll beat it again." He said with a grin.

Mabel chuckled and pushed him lightly. "Only if I have you help." She said with a smile as the two headed back to the Museum.
