They were finally back.
All of it passed by as a blur, she didn't really remember much of the journey back to konoha. All she knew is that she stuck close to her younger sister and her newfound lover. She didn't let her younger sister out of her sight to make sure she was actually there with them, and back with them. She didn't let naruto out of her sight because she found comfort in him. She was still shaken from being forced to marry someone she barely even knew. And so the small touches and glances that they would share when no one was looking was enough for her… At least at the time.
Now, as they reached Konoha, all the memories from the past events came flooding to her. She felt her anxiety rising. She tried to put on a brave face, so no one would notice her inner turmoil, but with naruto watching her every move, it proved to be more difficult then she thought.
They reached the gates, and she was about to tell Hanabi that they should head off to the hospital to see their father, when she felt a large hand grab her hand and take her a bit further away from the group. The group looked on, confused, but shrugged and walked on.
"Hey, you two, better be there for the debriefing tomorrow," Shikamaru reminded them.
"Yea yea, we won't forget," Naruto yelled back.
The debriefing for the mission was set to tomorrow because they were already tired and it would be best for them to get some rest before they would have to conjure up the memories from the mission.
The group continued walking. Hanabi, a little reluctantly, said that she'll meet up with her in the hospital, and walked away.
Hinata noticed that he was still holding her hand and how he squeezed it a few times. She couldn't help but blush at that. She looked up at him and noticed that he was staring at her with love-filled eyes. Her blush intensified as she stared at his softened eyes.
Suddenly he brought her to a bone-crushing hug, her face squished against his chest. His arms wrapped around her waist and squeezed her even tighter. She slowly looked up only to see that he was nuzzling his face into her neck with his eyes screwed shut.
"Come home with me," he whispered into her ear. She shivered as his she felt his hot breath on her neck.
She was stunned. "Wha-What? Why?" She pulled back a bit from the embrace and looked up at him, as he looked down at her. Her hands were on his chest and his arms were still wrapped around her waist.
He gently smiled at her and one hand reached up to her hair and combed through it with his fingers.
"Because, ya know… I need you, and you need me."
He knew. She tried hiding it, but he completely saw through it. And she was convinced that he also knew that she can see through his façade. He was hiding his pain, just like she was. It was painful for him to almost see her married off.
"Naruto-kun… Yes…" She didn't even bother trying to argue. It was no use when they both were in need.
He smiled goofily at her, laced his fingers with hers, and told her that they should probably go check up on her father and sister first and then go to his apartment. She gently smiled back as he pulled her along.
That night two separate bodies, minds, hearts, and souls became one.
A/N: Yes I headcanon that right after they came back they did the do. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Because after all the sweet shiz, theres some angst. Well that's what I think, that they both need to comfort each other.
