I don't own Red vs Blue or anything like that
Jaz ran around the small house with her owner on her tale, shouting her name and tripping over the occasional thing here and there.
"Jaz- ow! Aw crap, Jaz!" Kai yelled as Jaz slipped out the cat door. Kai burst through the door and spotted her gray cat running to her neighbor's yard. Jaz zigzagged through the aisles of Kai's neighbor's vegetables. Kai followed stumbling along careful not to step on her asshole neighbor's crops. Last time she had stepped on her overgrown plants, the woman had yelled at her for a half an hour.
She followed the cat around the garden for minutes whistling and calling the feline's name. Kai tripped on a rock and fell face down into the soil. She sighed into the ground before standing and brushing herself off before catching a streak of gray running inside her house through the cat door.
Kai sighed again loudly before hearing a door creak open. She turned to see her hot neighbor, wearing all black, her blonde hair tied back in a ponytail probably about to yell at her again. Today was just not Kai's day.
Kai started blabbing. "Ah, fuck. Before you start yelling at me again, my cat-"
"I saw." The woman interrupted her.
"What? Wait, were you watching me. Like a stalker? Cause that's kinda hot." Kai said.
Kai's neighbor made small frown that was almost immediately replaced by an amused smirk.
"What's your name again?" Kai asked her neighbor. "Iowa?"
"Wrong state, it's Texas." She told Kai. "And you?"
"Me what? My name?" Tex nodded. "It's Kai. So why are you named Texas? Are you part of a secret organization? Or did your parents really hate you? Did you change your name? If you did then why Texas. Even Idaho is a better.
Tex snickered and shook her head. "Do you need help with your cat?"
"Maybe." Kai folded her arms and looked her up and down before deciding that Tex was hot enough to take the risk the blonde might try to murder her when Kai isn't looking. "Alright!" Kai said cheerfully, uncrossing her arms and practically dragging Tex with her.
"So what do you know about cats?" Kai asked her neighbor she examined the other's messy home.
"I had a friend. He loved cats. Had at least 6 at a time." Tex explained. "I occasionally cat-sat for him. Your's is named Jaz, right?"
"Yeah, Jaz. One sec lemme find her." Kai left, running around the house. "Make yourself comfortable!" She yelled as she ran by. Tex took off her cargo boots and placed them in front of the cat door and not 15 seconds later the cat tried to leave again. Jaz started crying and attempting to move the boots and Tex picked her up, petting the gray cat.
"Hey, you are good with cats. So you're hot and smart. Fuck yeah!" Kai smiled. "Can you also help me clean my house. I've been meaning to do that but I want to. At all. "
Tex cracked a smile. "Sure." She said, trying not to laugh. Yeah, she liked Kai.
