This is actually based on a conversation I had with LittlePrincessNana last week! I was so happy when the manga confirmed my suspicions, though… they totally forgot that Sorano was waiting for them!
Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail.
Sorano stared idly out at the colourful, passing fish from the control-seat of the underwater sailing vessel, Olympia. Mest and the others were taking forever to get back to the temple. What was taking them so long? Two hours had already passed.
Abruptly she stood up from her makeshift throne, fuming. "What the shit, Fairy Tail?!" she screeched at the empty building. Several fish, startled by the sudden noise, fled. "Where the fuck are you morons?!" Pacing furiously in front of the stone chair she huffed, "I'm tired of waiting for you to finish your shit! I'm not a goddamn taxi service!"
The flagstones beneath her feet rumbled, and Sorano shrieked as she lost her balance on the now-moving surface. Falling hard onto the floor, she clung to it as the entire temple bucked and heaved in its resting place on the ocean floor.
Once the tremors had subsided, she slowly rose to a kneeling position. Her elbows and knees ached from where she'd scraped them in her tumble. "What the hell was that?" Sorano wondered, unease growing inside of her.
Her only response was the echoing silence of the deserted temple.
Shivering, Sorano stood up and walked to one of the windows. Just like the temple, the ocean floor seemed to be devoid of life. Something had spooked the local wildlife, and badly at that. Using her magic, she called out to Mest. Hoping for a reply. Anything would do. Anything at all.
"Is anyone coming?"
The whispered words – that Sorano hadn't even realized that she'd spoken aloud until her ear caught them – were met with no response. Sorano shivered in the suddenly cold ship. Where were they? They were Fairy Tail, right? Not even the Oracion Seis could take them down, and they'd been one of the strongest guilds on the continent!
"Are they all dead?" As soon as she spoke those words, she rejected the possibility. This was Fairy Tail. They were practically cockroaches – the abhorrent flying variety. Just as annoying and twice as nasty.
"Did they forget about me?" she asked instead. Yes. That felt much better to her. Anger was a far more pleasant feeling to the former criminal than worrying over her former enemies. They weren't dead, or injured. They were just assholes.
"I'm going to kill them myself!" Sorano howled with rage, warmth seeping back into her limbs.
Stalking back to her throne, she sat down hard on its stone surface to wait.
Fourteen hours later, Mest finally contacted her back.
That fucking bastard was going to pay.
All of them were.
They really did fucking forget about her!
And here she was, worried over them! Wasting her time and energy being concerned for their well-being!
Oh, they were going pay when she got back to Fiore. They were going to rue the day that they forgot about Sorano Aguria of Crime Sorciere and left her alone in enemy territory!
If she ever lived down the inevitable teasing Erik was sure to put her through, that is.
