The first RWBY fanfiction I upload, and it's this. (I don't like how short everything I write for RWBY turns out.)

"Does Ruby crawling into your bed at night happen a lot?" Yang asked.

It was not exactly what Weiss would've considered polite breakfast conversation; she nearly spit out her orange juice in surprise. All of a sudden, Weiss was grateful for Ruby and Blake's still being stuck in the busy, noisy breakfast line. Both safely out of hearing range.

"Oooh, careful, Ice Queen," Yang laughed, definitely making matters worse. "Your face is looking pretty red right now, wouldn't want you to melt!"

But the real problem wasn't with Yang. It was where Weiss's thoughts had immediately jumped upon hearing her opening line... Which, of course, Yang uncannily noticed right away.

"What were you thinking of?"

One-sided conversations with Yang were the absolute worst. She was having way too much fun with this, Weiss realized.

"For you information," she grumbled defensively, "Ruby had a nightmare last night. I was only being a good teammate and helping her out."

"Uh-huh."

"Though that sounds like more of a Yang problem to be me. I don't know why she never wakes you up instead – you're her sister and all."

"She likes you more."

This time, Weiss actually did spit. "Is this some kind of joke?! Ruby's practically friendship incarnate, she likes everyone! And we're on the same team-"

Yang shrugged. Likely as not, she hadn't listened to even a single word of Weiss's shocked protests. Without batting an eyelash at Weiss's reaction, she continued her morning as nonchalantly as if they were discussing the weather or their homework instead.

"I figure if it was a joke, she never would've listened to my advice to fake having nightmares around you."
