Author Note:

My computer broke...so I had to rewrite this chapter. I also have a Beta for" Infinite means infinite" but she seems to be sick quite a bit lately. Also, there need to rewrite second chapter because its in the broken one…This chapter is a lot longer than I intended! I decided to update it since I got quite a bit of reviews XD and I personally actually like this story…But I updated it for you guys. I am not confident in my writing skills. That's why I got a beta for infinite, when that one gets an update I don't know. But anyways! I hope you enjoy this chapter! As I said before, Reviews are appreciated.

Shadow POV

Fear crossed his features, it was delicious. The prey was frozen in place. I could snap his neck with little effort, yet, my body just paused? Was it hesitation? I tried to find answers, but My mind was clouded, this wasn't reasonable. I was not in sync, like I lost contact. When his scent reached my muzzle, it returned. But to my frustration was ripped away by unseen force. Small fingers tugged my leg.

"Stop now. "A deep voice commanded. It was so unfamiliar, yet I recognize it as superior. So, without question ceased my actions. It took me a short moment to recover.
I could feel eyes on me but didn't care. I was shaken beyond belief and tried to conceal it by making eye contact with Mephiles. 'Thank you' was on the tip of my tongue but couldn't bring myself to say it, though ultimately didn't need to.

"You welcome Father." This time his voice was normal. I should have known that Mephiles have the same rank as Eclipse. Even if I was grateful I felt no less unnerved by this revelation. Mephiles shared a knowing look, he was by no means a child.

The silence dragged on, Faker didn't even crack a joke to get rid of it, something was off. Even though our interactions were undoubtedly rocky, this was new.
Mephiles broke the painful silence that had turned unbearable.
"I want to go home..." He whined, Rouge instantly reached out to him as if a mother call.
"Of course cutie let's head outside yeah?" Mephiles nodded and without protest followed her. I feared another episode, but nothing happened, I presumed Mephiles made sure of that.

Now it was only me and the household left. I wasn't going to apologize, it technically wasn't my fault to begin with. Instead I went straight to the point.
"Miles." The said name made the Fox freeze.
"Inform Rouge how much you need for the repairs." I didn't wait for a response, not that I expected one. They both were in shock. Tails I understood, but not faker. I left the room and tried to brush off the incident as nothing out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, didn't get far before a pair of fast feet caught up with me.

"Wait shads!" I mentally growled, both at the nickname but also for I knew there was no way around this. I marginally turned to face the speedster. He halts in front of me like he travelled at high speed. Though he did little else than observe me as if something was wrong. I got increasable uncomfortable when he shared a look of concern.

"Are you okay?" I raised a brow at the question. We have clashed in the past for smaller things. Why would this particularly violence be worth questioning, unless...
"Yes why?" My heart was rapidly pounding in fear of what he might say.
"It's just..." he scratched the back of his head and looked away. Something was bothering him, and that certainly didn't help my anxious feeling.
"Your eyes..." he pointed out as if I should know what he was talking about.
"Is it normal?" I frowned, he was talking in riddles. He quickly noticed his mistake when I didn't communicate an understanding.

"Your pupils just turned into slits for a short moment before." I tensed up which my rival most likely noticed. My episode had a visual effect! Eclipse didn't warn me about this.
"You must have hit your head faker." I said in a matter of fact. Sonic deeply frowned, he clearly didn't accept my response.

Judging on his reaction alone, was keeping something from me that he didn't feel comfortable in telling. The little he shared was bothersome enough, so I refrained from prying of what else he saw.

"Father hurry!" Mephiles whined impatiently from the open front door. I would have mentally cursed at how the alien addressed me as such in the public. But it was the needed escape from this conversation.
"I see you around faker, and next time, dodge." I smirk smugly like I normally would. He throws me a pointless comeback I didn't care to listen to. All I wanted was to part ways.

"Settled it?" Rouge asked, and I responded with a small nod. I only managed to take one step outside before the hyperactive hoglet got in front of me with raised arms.
"Pick me up." Mephiles smiled cheerfully, I wasn't in the mood for this fake parenting, so I shake my head.

"No, we got you those shoes, so you could walk." He frowned annoyed.
"Pick. Me. Up." The deep voice commanded in my head. I didn't expect him to use my hybrid rank against me. I was confident it didn't show from the outside, but I was fighting to resist. The pain increased, while emotions made a tantrum, this was ridiculous!

This was a losing battle for something so trivial. After a long struggle I finally gave in, as if my early statement did not apply anymore. Mephiles was overjoyed to be in my arms again. I was in conflict when the emotion spread to me as well. As if, he rewarded me for my obedience…

"Stop complaining, I helped you before! The least you can do is carry me." This deep malicious voice really didn't belong to a toddler, it made him sound evil. So why would he use that kind of tone? Intimidate me?

"No, this is my real voice, my vocals are just undeveloped." Mephiles said before he buries his face in my chest fur and purred. I ignored the overwhelming joy coursing through my veins.

"Can you stop using the link against me!?" The lack of control is driving me mad.

"I will, when you learn how to stop me." Mephiles giggled, very aware that I might not be able to do that at all. I curse my hybrid blood for the millionth time. I should be angry at Mephiles but I just couldn't bring myself to think anything negativity of my so-called son. Like what he was doing wasn't wrong. As if I have accepted his power over me.

"Father, stop worrying, I am not evil." I mentally sigh, but aware that this won't be last time he plays with the link. I hear him giggle at my prediction but soon just settle to cuddle me. Finally, free from the mental bubble I can focus on other matters. What confused me was that link nonsense only lasted a few seconds. Rouge didn't notice anything, instead she looked down on her communicator watch.

"I need to inform G.U.N. now and come up with an excuse of why you left and require some time off." Rouge spoke, I forgot about that entirely.
"But you have to speak with commander about this soon. It will save you a lot of trouble."
"I know..."
"Take care, and you too Mephiles. I will see you two soon." She said before leaving the open gate. I was surprised she didn't ask for a chaos control ride. Speaking of which.
"Well that was exciting." Eclipse said somewhat bothered.
"Let's just go home." I muttered, not exactly looking forward to it, but right now, needed some rest. The stress seemed to have taken the toll out of me.

"Very well." Eclipse returned the missing chaos energy and I immediately warped to my living room. I basically collapsed on the couch with still Mephiles in my arms.
Too much have happened in such short noticed. I didn't even want to think of the conversation I shared with Faker. Which reminded me, why I didn't abuse the moment to defy Eclipse? The alien soon joins us in the living room and snort.
"It's no point lying to yourself. You don't see me as your enemy anymore." I sighed, he was right, but I didn't want to accept it.
"Now to something far more important." Eclipse said out of the blue and sat down beside me without care of personal space.
"What the-!?" His clawed hand patted my head comforting. It didn't bother me as it should, but I regardless slapped the hand away from me. I was in no mood for him!

"Stop whining. Do you have any idea how annoying it was to sit back and wait for you to simply get a pair of shoes and gloves for Mephiles?" I snort at the irony, he is the one whining now.
"You don't get it do you. Your turmoil is everywhere, I can feel it and Mephiles too."
"You are blaming me for your actions!?" I growled but ceased when Mephiles snuggled up to me. Eclipse gave me a long stare.
"We are a hivemind Shadow. You are a part of us as, we are a part of you. "I didn't want to listen to him but find myself doing it anyways.
"I would have dealt with this differently you know." I raise my brow. He sounded so guilty.
"What do you mean?"
"The symptoms reduce upon contact with your hive mind. I would have at least put ten brothers in charge to control your episodes."
"Ten!"
"Not lower than that. It would speed up your recovery. But you only have us so if you do care about those mortals you insist to protect then you should stay close to us. "This news unnerved me.
"For how long..." I mutter, but Eclipse didn't respond, instead he try to pat me again. I let out an aggressive growl in disapproval and slap it away before it touches me. This clearly angered him, fortunately didn't bring out another episode. Probably thanks to Mephiles.
"Depends how willing you are!" He snapped, meaning, the more we three cuddle the faster I recover. I didn't like the method at all, it was somewhat acceptable with Mephiles but Eclipse...not so much. The alien chuckled amused.
"It's not cuddling, it's called connect." He shakes his head like my thoughts was the best joke he heard in months.

"You want to keep the vermin's safe no? It would be quite the irony if you killed them instead." He chuckled knowing I couldn't argue. I clench my fists in anger but soon relax.

"Fine!" I snap, the thought of willingly letting him physical touch me make me sick. I quickly snatch the remote on the table and put the tv on. I need a distraction, badly! Eclipse stare at me bewildered and it makes it all worse. I growl frustrated when he doesn't begin.

"Do it before I change my mind!" The alien rolls his eyes amused by my sudden change of mind. I divert my eyes from him entirely, and instead focus on the tv like it's my only escape of sanity.

I flinch when he sits down beside me to 'connect' as he calls it. I growl when I am pulled into something that would be confused as an embrace. He ignores my aggressive behaviour and start to act like Mephiles tend to do. It's overwhelming to have them both doing it. My muzzle turns scarlet red, though the hybrid part of me is enjoying it.

However, the bond with Eclipse is very rocky, I don't want to accept his advances even though I allow this. I mentally snarl in disgust, I can tell Eclipse is trying his hardest to make me relax. But its nothing near as powerful as Mephiles. In fact, seem to be ineffective in comparison. Eclipse seemed to have read my mind and sigh.

"Yes you are correct, because you two have fully bonded." He said with some hint of jealousy. This fact made me curious, though my eyes was still focused on the tv.

"I have bonded with Mephiles as well. But darklings to darklings is very different. We have the same rank, so we don't affect each other." He explained, I frowned when I felt his mental link reach out for mine. I didn't accept as usual, and he didn't force.

"So you want to bond with me." I state the obvious and glance over to the alien who nods.

"Of course I do! We are the last of our kind. We should stick together. Maybe you don't think so but we have already established a sort of pack. "I knew he was right, but It still felt wrong, it wasn't long ago I wanted to kill Eclipse. Things have changed too rapidly fast for my taste.

"If you allow me to strengthen our bond this will be more efficient." I wasn't too sure of that prospect.

"What's the catch?" Eclipse sighed again.

"You are a hybrid, so I can't say for sure. But you will without question accept me as superior." I grimace in disgust of ever acknowledge him as such.

"No." I respond quickly without hesitation. Eclipse frowned, though not surprised yet still didn't seem satisfied.

"Hear me out okay, you already see Mephiles as such and-"

I cut him off. "He is not my-!" I stopped, it felt like I was about to lie. Though this time I couldn't bring forth to do so. When did this happen!? Eclipse couldn't be right! I tried to search for some explanation to of when I agreed to this. Nothing made sense!

"He is a child how can I!?" I wanted to leave the room right now and then. But the two kept me on the spot with whatever power they held over me. Mephiles finally sat up to lock eyes with me.

"I don't mind being your superior." He smiled pleased.

"Of course you don't!" His tail starts to wag as if he didn't hear my outburst. I know that I would have thrown him off if I could, this was absurd.

"I am not going to bond with you Eclipse!" I would not allow him to have same control of me.

"Calm down Shadow, he is a newborn. I am suggesting it to speed up your recovery. Not control you. Besides I already have enough power to control you if I wish." That certainly didn't ease my mind at all.

"My answer remains, no." I avoid eye contact with the two aliens that desired my attention. But they let me be for now, the only sound coming from the tv. I was beginning to feel drowsy and all the cuddling was making it worse. I don't know when I fell asleep, but I was harshly awoken by a pair of hands.

I found myself forcefully pressed against on the couch on my back with someone above. My blurry vision got into focus only to see a panicked alien above. I was confused and somewhat groggy after the sleep, but I managed to muster a weak growl.

"Eclipse get…off me." He didn't listen and locked my limbs before I could free myself. I soon started to realize my situation.

"No! we must reproduce NOW!" He snapped desperately in fear. I am not sure how aliens do it, but I certainly didn't want to find out.

"I said get off me!" I gasped when I felt a consuming emotion I was forced in feeling. I knew then and there that this experience was related to it. My resistance growing weaker the stronger it got. And just when I thought I was doomed to participate in whatever Eclipse had in store the alien was thrown off me.

I panted weakly, absolutely drained of what just happened. I spotted who saved me, Mephiles. Or I think it was, his body was covered in crystals, the sclera's now blood red, also lacked mouth nose and feet. His feet now replaced with crystal.

It took me a while to process that he was hovering above the ground. Not to mention, outraged. His eyes were focused on Eclipse who decided to transform into his monster form. Before I knew it, a fight broke out.

The furniture got thrown across the room when their fists collided. Fortunately, not the one I occupied. The state of my living room was getting worse. The lost energy was returning, and I had enough!

"Stop at once!" That seemed to have reached their ears. I managed to push my weak body to sit up but still panted.

"Explain now!" They both returned to their original form and as soon as Mephiles did he ran up to me. Without warning embraced me and nuzzled without permission. I didn't try to remove him; this whole bond thing was hard to fight against. And I certainly was too weak to protest right now. So I let him continue, he did after all, stop Eclipse.

"They are here." Eclipse said with fear in his voice.

"Who is here?" I asked and saw him point at the tv. A UFO was present on the news and soon more showed up. I had never seen anything like it, their tech was far ahead of ours.

"They…" I snap my attention back to the terrified alien.

"They are coming for us."

Author note: Another alien race! GASP! What? You thought Black Doom and his "children" was the only race out in space? And why do Eclipse so suddenly want to reproduce!? Share your thoughts.

This isnt related to that but, I haven't decided if I will have any couples in this story. I might go without. Though I am curious to hear what you would like to see. Or if you don't want any at all. Perhaps i asked this? I don't remember, It's a old story.
