Dear diary,

Too lazy to write today.

She put her diary down and looked at Damon, who was pretending to be asleep. "Damon?" He didn't move or make a sound. "Come on, I know you're faking." She rocked him, but there was no respond, so she thought of another way to 'wake him up'.

She kissed him, very slowly – like only Elena Gilbert could. It was of no use. Elena slightly frowned. Wow, he's good. She thought. Then, an idea hit her. She vamp-speeded out of the bed and the room, only to be back a few seconds later with a glass, which had some blood in it.

She put the glass on the night stand next to her, and got back to bed herself. Then, she picked the glass up and held it right in front of Damon's face. Tiny veins started to appear under his eyes as Elena held the blood so close to him. He opened his eyes now, as the veins disappeared.

"That's cheating." He grinned. Elena put the glass back on the night stand and smirked, glad that her plan worked. "I know." She said and kissed him again, but this time, he could respond.

They kissed for quite a while. "It's not fun kiss you when you're fake-sleeping." Elena said when they parted.

Damon smiled. "Hm. It's fun for me." Then, he looked at the blood behind Elena. "Breakfast in bed?"

Elena looked behind her. "Yeah. The only thing that can wake a vampire up." She picked up the glass and handed it to Damon. "I brought it for you."

Damon took the glass and put it on the nightstand behind him. "No thanks. I don't have breakfast before noon."

"Huh. Did not know that." Elena admitted and fell back on her pillow. She sighed.

"You OK?" Damon asked.

"I'm really tired." She said sleepily. "Didn't sleep much these days."

"Then... sleep now." Damon suggested.

"Is it no problem?" She asked.

"Of course not." Damon smiled and wrapped his arm around her to keep her by his side. Elena rested her head against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

"How come you always wake up before me?" she asked and looked up at him.

"I don't really sleep much." He didn't want to say that he didn't sleep at all.

"Is that a vampire thing, or a Damon thing?" She asked, a litle quieter than before.

"It's a vampire thing." He smiled and kissed her forehead. "You'll see in a couple of decades."

"OK." She sighed as she slowly drifted to sleep.
