i swear i'm working on the next chapter. in the meantime, have these snippets of fanfics of this fanfic that i wrote.

Here have a tenkuu shinpan crossover

The wind blew cold over the top of the high rise building I found myself on top of, making me shiver slightly in my school uniform. All around me rose more skyscrapers of differing heights, all with at least one suspension bridge connecting them to another.

This scenery was as familiar as it was alien. I swore I'd seen it before, yet I knew for a fact that I'd never been here. I racked my mind but came up with nothing. How did I get here anyway?

One moment I'd been walking home, having just separated from Akira and Yuki, and the next I was suddenly here. Was this an illusion? Did some strong Mist user have nothing better to do but whatever this was?

I closed my eyes and tried to break the illusion, going as far as to form the tiger seal and yell 'Kai!' after several unsuccessful attempts.

Nothing.

I hope no one saw that.

Alright, so this probably wasn't an illusion. Then what was it?

That was a question that would have to be pondered upon later, as my Hyper Intuition started ringing at the same time I heard the click of a door opening. I spun around. On the rooftop, there was a set of stairs leading down to a door, and it was this door that was being opened right this second.

I tensed and prepared to draw out a weapon from hammerspace if necessary.

A man wearing a trench coat and dragging a shovel behind him came out. He was facing the ground so I couldn't see his face. Each step he took up the steps increased the bad feeling I had.

"Hey, you," I said. "Lift your head up."

The man paused, then his head snapped up abruptly.

A white smiley mask covered his face.

A memory from my past life hit me in time for me to groan and duck under the shovel the masked man swung at me.

"Are you kidding me?!" I yelled. "First Reborn, and now Tenkuu Shinpan? Really?!"

The Angel did not reply and continued trying to kill me. Luckily, it was one of the weak and basic ones, strong but not particularly fast.

Ugghhh. I didn't really want to kill anyone but the only way to escape a mask was to run really really fast, kill them, or throw yourself off a building.

…Oh yeah.

I could just throw myself off the building.

This rooftop didn't have a fence around the perimeter for whatever reason, so I allowed myself to be backed up to the edge. I glanced over my shoulder to see that I had run out of ground, and the Angel paused, waiting to see what I would do.

And what I did, was give the Angel a cheeky salute and fall backwards.

I allowed myself a moment of the thrill that came with falling from a great height, then flipped so I was no longer falling feet first. I gathered Sky Flames to my hand and blasted away, slowing my descent until I could land on the ground with all the force of a butterfly on a flower.

The Angel stared at me. I put up my middle finger at it.

It stared for a moment longer, then turned around and lumbered back to who knows where. Now…

I should try to remember all that I can about Tenkuu Shinpan.

Genderbend AU

In my second life, I was born male. This would not have been a problem, except for two things:

1) I was reborn in Reborn, and

2) My twin, the one who should have been a boy called Tsunayoshi was now a girl called Tsunahime.

Add those two together, and what do you get?

That's right, me being coerced into being the heir to Vongola instead of Tsuna. No thank you.

I only wished I had figured this out before the event in canon where Nono and Iemitsu visited Namimori and sealed Tsuna's flames.

"Tsuna-kun! How's my boy?" Iemitsu the idiot picked me up and twirled me around. This was made significantly easier by the fact that I currently had the body of a tiny child.

Stay civil, Ietsuna. You're supposed to be five.

"Please don't call me Tsuna, father. My name is Ietsuna. Tsunahime is Tsuna. Also, put me down," I requested.

"Why so formal, Tsuna?" Iemitsu the selectively deaf idiot pouted, still spinning me around. "Just call me dad!"

"Dun wanna," I said and pinched the inside of his wrist. He let out an 'ow' and finally let me go.

"My son is so cold to me," he lamented. He brightened up two seconds later and reached for Tsuna who was in Nana's arms. "But I still have a lovely daughter! Hime-chan, come here and give your daddy a kissy!"

Nana giggled and handed Tsuna over to her father. I ignored the pleading look the scared girl gave me and turned to the old man who Iemitsu had introduced as his boss at the 'construction site'.

I bowed. "Hello. My name is Sawada Ietsuna. Thank you for taking care of my father."

"Well aren't you the perfect little gentleman," he chuckled, ruffling my hair. "You can just call me Nono."

"Nono-san." I tested it out.

Iemitsu was busy behind me smushing his cheek against Tsuna's. I figured she'd had enough and kicked Iemitsu in the shin, which was the highest place I could reach.

"Ikkun!" Nana gasped.

"Sorry," I said, so obviously insincere that even Tsuna gave me a look. "Put Tsuna down, father. She doesn't like heights."

Iemitsu put her down and tried to ruffle my hair, saying "Looking out for your little sister, are ya? What a good big brother you are."

I scowled and grabbed Tsuna. "Whatever. Come on, Tsuna. Let's go play in the yard while the adults have their boring adult talk."

"O-okay," Tsuna squeaked, clinging to the back of my shirt.

It would also give me time to think up a strategy to not become Vongola Decimo.

As Tsuna sat on the ground fascinated by an ant hill, I lay on my back cloudwatching and brainstorming ways to avoid the mafia mantle. In the end, it all came down to convincing Nono that Tsuna was a far better candidate. Trying to save his actual sons lives, while not impossible, was far too much effort. I just didn't care enough.

A high-pitched bark and scream snapped me out of my thoughts. A tiny white chihuahua had wormed its way into our yard and was terrorising Tsuna.

This is where canon Tsuna bursts into Sky Flames and gets sealed right?

An idea came to me and I got to my feet but didn't move to save Tsuna just yet. I watched the house waiting for the adults to come see what all the commotion was about before putting my plan into motion.

"Tsuna?"

"Nii-chan, mum, help!" Tsuna cried, bursting into Sky Flames just in time for Nono and Iemitsu to see. That was when I ran over with Lightning Flames crackling around me and tackled the dog.

Sorry, puppy. You probably just wanted to play, but in order to secure my future as a non-mafia don…!

Where did the Lightning Flames come from, you ask? Who knows. Who cares. Certainly not I, since I was never going to use them again.

One of the requirements for Vongola don was to have Sky Flames, and someone with such a strong Lightning Flames obviously had to have that as their primary flame. There was obviously going to be resistance against a donna, but there's no way you could have a Vongola boss without Sky Flames.

Suck it, Iemitsu, I thought, looking at his stiff expression. There's no way I'm going to be a mafia boss.

Years later, I would be roped into being Tsuna's Lightning Guardian and scream.

The day Reborn finally came was the day I finally confirmed a suspicion I'd had ever since I'd started school and met the still male Yamamoto and Hibari:

That this wasn't just an alternate universe where Tsuna was female, it was an alternate universe where Tsuna was female and gathered her own harem of hot guys.

There was just no other explanation for why Reborn was in his tall and leggy adult form.

Route one – actual lightning guardian

"Ciaossu."

I shut the door to Tsuna's room.

"Nii-san?" she asked.

"I suddenly feel like eating crepes. Let's go."

I spun her around by the shoulders and pushed her towards the stairs.

Damnit, Nana! Is this the 'special surprise' you were talking about? Who lets a grown man inside their teenage daughter's room anyway?

When the two of us had returned home from school, a giddy looking Nana had informed us that a 'special surprise' was waiting in Tsuna's room. I'd had a bad feeling about it which was proved correct as soon as I opened the door to see an adult Reborn sitting on Tsuna's bed.

"Not so fast, Tsuna-kun."

The door opened and my collar was grabbed. I choked and spun around, wrenching my shirt out of Reborn's grasp.

"I'm not Tsuna! My name is Ietsuna, she's Tsuna!" I snapped.

I hated it when people called me Tsuna. That name belonged to the character I'd loved in my past life, and I didn't want any of the responsibilities canon!Tsuna had been forced to bear.

Reborn raised an eyebrow at me before grabbing my collar again and throwing me into Tsuna's room. I crashed onto the floor painfully.

"Fuck…! You crazy bastard-!" I looked up and froze when I saw myself staring down the barrel of a gun. Reborn clicked his tongue.

"Children these days. Such disrespect. Your sister's next."

Then he fired the gun and I died.

Tsuna screamed when the mysterious man in the fedora shot her brother in the head. Her forehead grew uncomfortably warm, like something was trying to force its way out. She dropped to the floor, clutching her head.

Reborn watched with interest as flicker of orange began to appear around where the girl was clutching her head. She must indeed have strong and pure Sky Flames if they were able to leak through like that even with the seal.

The boy was taking his time in reviving though. Reborn had been observing Iemitsu's family for the past week and found that while Ietsuna mainly ignored his sister, he was always there to stop the bullying from going too far. Threatening Tsunahime would definitely have the boy come back to try stop him.

Just when Reborn was beginning to think that he'd have to write a letter back to explain how he'd accidently permanently killed Iemitsu's son, Ietsuna finally opened his eyes and his clothes exploded off his body.

A flame flickered to life on his head as it should. Only, the colour wasn't the electric green it was supposed to be.

Route two – back to crack

"…Tsuna, who's this? And why is he sitting at our dinner table?"

I knew, of course, but if I didn't ask it'd be super suss. I'd had to stay at school later than usual because of club practice, and when I came home, there'd been an extra pair of shoes in the genkan. A pair of men's shoes that were probably made of genuine Italian leather or whatever and definitely didn't fit a toddler's feet. That had been enough to tell me that something was very, very different.

Non-chibified Arcobaleno different.

What I really want to ask is, if the Arcobaleno curse isn't to turn into an immortal child, then what is it?

"Ara, Ikkun, welcome home!" Nana called from the kitchen.

"Hey, mum," I responded.

Tsuna scrambled off her seat and almost tripped in her rush to get to me. She clung to the back of my shirt and pointed to Reborn.

"Nii-san, help! This weirdo barged into our home and says he's going to make me a mafia boss or something!"

Oh thank god. It seems my work from the sealing incident paid off.

"Ciaossu. So, you're Tsuna."

"No, I'm Ietsuna," I immediately said. "My sister is Tsuna. If Ietsuna is too much of a mouthful, you may refer to me as Ikkun. Who're you?"

I hated it when people called me Tsuna. That name belonged to the character I'd loved in my past life, and I didn't want any of the responsibilities canon!Tsuna had been forced to bear.

Reborn sipped his coffee. "I'm Reborn, the home tutor. I'm here to make Tsunahime into a proper young lady and mafia boss."

"See, he's crazy. Nii-san, do some-"

"I see." I bowed to the man. "Please take care of Tsuna. She can be a bit slow, so I hope you'll be patient with her."

"Nii-san!" Tsuna's jaw dropped down in shock.

Sorry sis, I'm only out to save my own skin.

But Tsuna wasn't going to give up just yet.

"He'll be living here with us as well! Mum even gave him the spare room already! Are you really okay with living with a stranger?!"

"He seems like a good man," I lied. "And with a handsome man around the house maybe you'll finally stop being such a slob."

"He claims to be a hitman!"

"A respectable profession," I nodded. "Earns a lot of money as well."

"He pulled a gun on me earlier!"

"Maybe you'll finally learn some discipline."

Tsuna wailed and finally gave up, slumping back into her seat.

I didn't believe in anything I'd just said, of course. If it was anyone else I would've kicked them out as soon as I saw them.

But alas, it was Reborn. Nothing could be done.

"While my focus is on turning your sister into the perfect donna, I will also be preparing you for the role of consigliere," Reborn said, watching me carefully.

I immediately refused. "No thanks. I'm going to be a lawyer."

Fuck. Why did I say that. I shoulda said policeman.

Reborn smirked. "I can work with that."
