"I'm looking for someone. Can you help me?"
Headmaster Albus Wulfric Brian Dumbledore's twinkling blue eyes met the hard black ones evenly. "I may be able to help," he said, "Would you care to tell me about the person in question?"
The stranger nodded firmly before answering. "Edward Elric- he's seventeen, has long blonde hair he usually wears in a braid and golden eyes. He's about 5' 5", has a temper shorter than he is and a tacky red coat he wears nearly everywhere."
Dumbledore gazed silently at the stranger who had appeared on the quidditch pitch in a blazing circle of flames, his hand outstretched and his body stanced for defense against some attack. General Roy Mustang had been perfectly cordial since Professor Sprout had brought him to Dumbledore's office, but was clearly alert and ready for anything.
"If you'll follow me, I believe Edward is currently fighting the armors. He seems to find it incomprehensible that he is capable of defeating them when in quantities of four or fewer, for some reason, and has taken it upon himself to fight no fewer than a half-dozen at a time."
Mustang nodded with a slight frown, wondering what kind of man could casually talk about soul-bound armors while he walked through a castle filled with moving, talking portraits. The two approached their destination quickly, judging by the grunts and clangs emanating from farther along the hallway. Once they opened the door, Mustang blinked.
The armors Edward had clearly been battling fell to the ground, echoing clangs as they crashed. Edward lifted his golden gaze to the door, sliding into a defensive stance as he did so. He locked eyes with Mustang and scowled harder.
"You're late."
Mustang smirked. "My apologies, Fullmetal. The Lieutenant insisted I finish my paperwork before untangling the dimensional rift you caused."
Edward grinned and let out a bark of laughter. "And it only took you three weeks?"
Mustang rubbed his temples. "No. It took me three months, but it would seem there is a slight discrepancy in time passage between the two dimensions."
