'He took them. He took all of them!' Dry-eyed, he fell to his knees in shock. 'They're gone!' As reality started to set in, tears fell from what most assumed were cold, uncaring eyes. "Slepnir, Jomungard, Hel, Fenrir, Narfi, Vali... I'm so sorry," he whispered completely defeated.

As he fell, his dearest " brother " tore into his youngest, his light in the darkness of his existence. His poor child! Thor drove Mjollnir into Narfi's unprotected, fragile heart, breaking his father's in the process. The brother that spoke of love and acceptance whom even now was desecrating his own nephew's corpse. 'Why? Who would do that to a child!?... No, No, NO!'

As Thor finished with Narfi, he gathered the intestines that lay about the floor. Then, seeing his brother's defeated posture, he used the child to bind the father in the most gruesome way possible. Boom, boom, boom. Hearing the sound that once had frightened him out of wrongdoing, he raised his eyes, hope rising where once there was only despair.

His father, his father would put things right!

As the one-eyed half-god appeared that hope vanished only to be replaced by horror. 'How could he!' There, the man that he once called father was leading his eldest through spikes and spurs. Slepnir doing his best to protect his precious burden.

"Vali! Father, what have you done?!" His little ball of energy was limp and unmoving, with blood pouring off his sides.

"So the abomination speaks" Odin says cruelly, "Svadilfari teach you to do that? I'm sure he'd like another go with that lovely mare don't you agree?" As the broken man shudders, Odin laughed only to turn upon the last of the man's family.

"Vali, Vali, Vali. Whatever am I to do with you? Shall I cast you into the sea with your brother dearest or send you to the dead with your sister?" Then as an evil smile takes over Odin's face he chuckles and sets about forcing Vali into the form of a wolf. As he finishes, he rips from Vali his mind and his conscious only to set the newborn wolf on his still cooling twin's corpse. Just to insure his former son's cooperation, he turns Narfi's intestines into iron chains. Then as Vali finishes, Odin gives him back his mind to rejoice in the pain and horror that lay there within those orbs of clearest emerald.

"Vali! Vali, it wasn't your fault, please don't blame yourself. Run! Get away from him, don't let him hurt you anymore!" Loki pleads with his son. Only for Thor to use the hammer that caused the green-eyed man only misery, past and present, to smash the head of his little one, his child, his heart, into nothing more than death and gore.

As a final parting gift, the Odinfather stripped of Slepnir his mind and thoughts only to lead the now mindless eight-legged horse once more to Asgard as his stead.

In this way, thousands of millennia passed some slow, some even slower, but for each earthquake on Midgard, new sobs shook the once proud man's shoulders as he cried for what he had lost.

As the millennias passed, the frost giants once again rose to power. Their might returned and they rose from their frozen exile of Jotunheim to find their lost prince bound by his guilt and sorrow. The king, Laufey, sought to release his child from his binds only to find his child unresponsive and dead-eyed.

Hi everyone! So this was lying in my notes bin for a while and I finally got around to uploading it. As it is my first attempt at fanfiction I hope it's not too terrible. If you would like, I would really appreciate reviews or follows or anything you are willing to do. Thanks and so long!
