(While I wait for Aqua and the others to rescue Vivian, I receive a call from Dojo)

Dojo: Archer! We got big trouble!

Me: If it's a new Shen Gong Wu you're calling me about, it'll have to wait. My friends are about to rescue Vivian from the Black Dragon.

Dojo: That's why I'm calling! She has the new Shen Gong Wu and it has revealed itself!

Me: What!?

Dojo: Here, I'll send you a pic. (Dojo shows me an image in the Ancient Scroll) It's called the Maestro's Mandolin. Once played, it creates soundwaves that makes anyone who listens to it dance without control.

Me: That's not good. Vivian's known for playing a mandolin.

Dojo: Then you better hurry and get her and the Wu out of there.

(I hear an explosion from the top of the falls)

Me: No need to tell me twice. (I hang up) Come on, Crackle!

(Crackle and I rush towards the falls to warn Aqua)

Chapter 16: The First of Six

In the royal gardens of Zumaria, the Mobians, Sofia, and Vivian have encountered Zazz, who has stolen the red Chaos Emerald.

"Oh my!" Queen Cecily yelped.

"That is the most hideous thing I've seen!" King Marcus commented. Zazz took notice and snarled at him.

"Are you disrespecting me?" Zazz glared. Marcus stood in total fear looking into the Zeti's eyes. "Do you know what I do to those to disrespect me?" He raised his claw to strike the king, but Shadow took action and kicked him in the face.

"Your Majesties, you need to hurry and get to safety!" Shadow commanded.

"R-Right! Come, Marcus! We must make haste!" Queen Cecily complied as she and Marcus left the garden. Zazz felt the bruise Shadow left from that kick.

"You'll pay dearly for that!" Zazz scowled.

"Face it, Zazz. You're outnumbered ten to one." Knuckles cracked his namesakes.

"Heh-heh. My kind of odds." Zazz laughed as he leapt into the air and lunged at Vivian, only for Blaze to knock him back down with her fireball.

Shadow and Sonic follow with a double Homing Attack, Rouge deals a spin kick, and Knuckles hits Zazz with a Superman punch and sends him flying with a powerful uppercut. Silver catches him mid-flight with his psychokinesis. Rouge and Blaze damage him with a barrage of kicks and punches and Silver finishes by slamming him into a tree. Tails charges a blast from his Wrist Cannon and Sofia readies a Thunder spell from her Dream Rod. Recovering from the attacks, the Zeti spotted Crackle in some bushes. In desperation, Zazz pulls Crackle from the shrubs.

"He-heh-he-heh! Look before you leap!" Zazz cackled. Tails and Sofia gasp.

"Crackle!" Vivian shouts.

"You better stay back, or else little Crackle here might fall to pieces." Zazz threatened.

Tails and Sofia lowered their weapons, fearing that they might hurt Crackle. "What do we do now?" Rouge asked. Vivian looks upset and approaches Zazz.

"Vivian, what are you doing!?" Sonic asked her.

"You better let my dragon go or you'll be facing a very mad princess." Vivian glared.

"What are you going to do about it, little lady?" Zazz taunted. "Sing me a lullaby?" He starts cackling wildly. As he cackled, Vivian calmly closed her eyes, Zazz's laughter echoing in her head. Once her eyes shot open, they become emerald green with reptilian slits. Afterwards, a twister of pink fire surrounds her, making Zazz stop laughing and look at what is happening.

The Mobians and Zazz stood in shock as the pink fire twister faded away, revealing a dragon with dark pink scales, claws, two beige horns, two wide wings, a pink underbelly, and a tail with four spikes near the end. While the Mobians were awestruck, Zazz stood in fear and dropped Crackle, who took this chance to leave. The dragon stared into Zazz's eyes. The dragon roared loudly, scaring Zazz. He attempted to run, but the dragon breathed flames that blocked Zazz's escape route. Zazz looked back at the dragon. Though it was humongous, Zazz stood his ground.

"So what if you became a giant pink dragon? That doesn't scare me!"

"Wait a minute." Blaze realized something. "That's Vivian?"

"Yep." Sofia nods, knowing well that Vivian would eventually use such powers.

"You weren't joking about her turning into a dragon!" Sonic commented.

Zazz then ran towards Dragon Vivian about to deal a punch at her chest area, but once he delivered it, he felt like he punched a wall of steel. Zazz yelped in pain as Vivian shot lightning from her claws, shocking Zazz and sending him flying. She mercifully finished the job by knocking him back down with her left wing. The impact knocked the Chaos Emerald out of Zazz's hand. He groaned as Vivian reverted back to her human form.

"I'll be taking that, thank you." Vivian smirked as she picked up the red Chaos Emerald.

"Okay, let me be the first to admit it. That. Was. So. Cool." Knuckles commented.

"I believe you need this." Vivian gave Sonic the red Chaos Emerald.

"I'll be honest with you, Viv: I was not expecting you to actually turn into a dragon!" Sonic freaked. "What's your secret?"

"Let's just say I had a little lab accident after a mouse scared me." Vivian clarified. Sonic passed the Chaos Emerald to Shadow. He then noticed something coming.

"What is it, Sonic?" Blaze asked.

"It looks like something's coming." Sonic noted. As it got closer, he saw a creature in the form of a sphere with three tentacles and one pink eye and two alien-like antennae on top of its head. Its most distinguishing feature is a strand of curly blue "hair" between the antennae.

"Hey, it's Yacker!" Sonic confirmed as he saw his Wisp friend. "How you've been, little dude?"

Yacker spoke to them with a nearly incomprehensible, warbling sound.

"Tails, if you would."

"Right." Tails nodded as he pulled out his handheld and pointed the microphone towards Yacker. The white Wisp repeated his warbling sound. "He's saying 'It's so nice to see you again, Sonic, but I don't have the time for pleasantries.'"

"Who's your friend, Sonic?" Sofia asked.

"Oh, sorry. This is Yacker, our friend from Planet Wisp. Yacker, this is Princess Sofia, Princess Vivian, and her dragon friend Crackle."

"Nice to meet you, Yacker." Vivian curtsies to him.

"He's adorable!" Sofia cooed. "But how were you able to understand him?"

"That's easy. I modified my handheld to add a translator." Tails clarified. "It had a few bugs at first, but once Sonic beat Eggman, I finally worked out the kinks."

"That's so cool." Sofia smiled when she heard him. As they talked, Zazz slowly recovered.

"So what brings you out here, Yacker?" Sonic asked the Wisp. Yacker explained to them what happened in his own language.

"Hmm… Uh-oh. He's saying that his friends were kidnapped again." Tails told them.

"When will Eggman learn? I already thwarted his plan once. What made him think it'll work now?" Sonic sighed. Yacker tried to correct Sonic.

"Uh, Sonic? I don't think Eggman took his friends again." Tails chimed in.

"What do you mean?" Silver asked.

"They're saying it was the work of some mysterious horned creatures." Tails translated Yacker's correction.

"Yacker, these creatures that took your friends, did you see what they look like?" Blaze asked the Wisp. Yacker gave his description.

"It was hard to see, but the red one looked muscular and scary." Tails read the translation.

"Zavok." Sofia almost immediately identified the one in the description. Yacker continued his tale.

"I was lucky enough to escape, but I was afraid that they'd come after me. So I searched high and low for help." Tails read the latest translation.

"And that's when you found us, right?" Silver asked. Yacker nods in confirmation.

"Say no more. We'll help you save your friends." Sonic happily answered his plea without hesitation. Yacker chirped with joy, unaware that Zazz was about to pounce.

"There's no need to translate that. He's happy that you agreed to help him again." Tails told the blue hedgehog. Sofia suddenly noticed Zazz about to pounce on Yacker.

"Yacker, look out!" Sofia shouts as she defended him with a Thunder Spell from her Dream Rod. The bolts sent Zazz flying out of Zumaria.

"Nice save, Princess." Rouge thanked her. Yacker was relieved that she saved him and embraced her as thanks. Her amulet glowed pink for a second. What she heard from him next surprised everyone.

"Thank you for saving me."

"You're so sweet, Yacker." Sofia thanked the white Wisp. She yelped in surprise after what she told him. "Did… Did I just understand you?"

"Surprised? All I did was thank you for saving me." Yacker told Sofia.

"What happened?" Silver asked.

"It's like you can understand Yacker now." Sonic said in total surprise.

"With each deed performed, for better or worse, a power is granted, a blessing or a curse." Sofia quoted the saying in Cedric's spell book. "My amulet gave me special powers when I do good deeds. When I protected Yacker from Zazz, it must've given me the power to speak to Yacker."

"Amazing!" Silver breathed.

"If we're done here, can we head back?" Shadow asked.

"In a rush or something, Shadow? Rouge teased.

"The sooner we get the Chaos Emeralds, the sooner we can save Hildegard." Shadow sighed.

"That's understandable. Let's head back." Vivian agreed. Shadow's next words were all he need for everyone present to return to Cinnibar.

"Chaos Control!"

Everyone disappears in a bright flash.

Back on the Egg Carrier, Nettle and the Color Warriors are fighting the Egg Monarch. The redeemed fairy is knocked back with a wing strike and Cobalt retaliates with a sword strike that was blocked. The Warriors are becoming exhausted.

"Nya-ha-ha-ha! I was expecting better from the three Color Warriors." Eggman laughed.

"We can't seem to beat it." Emerald noted.

"I can see that." Cobalt said. "No matter how hard we strike, it'll just dodge it."

"Wait a minute…." Nettle realized something once she recovered and came up with an idea. "This gives me an idea."

"What is it?" Scarlett asked.

"The robot can anticipate your attacks, but if we can immobilize it…" Nettle theorized.

"We can send that Egg Monarch back to the scrap pile!" Scarlett finished.

"That's right. Let's get to it!" Nettle cast an ice spell at the robot, which was blocked by its wings.

"Ice? That's the best you got, you turncoat?" Eggman smirked.

"You might want to check again." Nettle grinned slyly as she pointed to the robot's wings. Eggman noticed that they were frozen.

"What!?"

"Scarlett! Emerald! Cobalt! Now!" Nettle signaled them to strike.

Upon hearing the signal, the three Color Warriors attacked the Egg Monarch. Cobalt and Emerald took out the wings with their swords.

"No! NO!" Eggman screamed as Scarlett finished the job by slicing the Egg Monarch's chest. Eggman escaped in his Egg Mobile just as the Egg Monarch exploded.

"Now I know how Sonic feels when he takes down one of Eggman's robots." Cobalt commented with a smile.

"You may have taken down my Egg Monarch, but I have plenty more where that came from! Just you wait!" Eggman barked as he fled.

"He's getting away!" Emerald shouted.

"Let him go, Emerald." Scarlett told her. "He won't be a problem right now. So I understand you two came here for me."

"Yeah. Cloud sent us to retrieve you." Cobalt nods.

"So my troops were worried about me, huh?"

"Some of them wanted to head out and find you." Emerald replied.

"I'll personally let them know they won't have to worry. Their leader is coming home." Scarlett said.

"And not a minute too soon – Sonic has something he'll want to show you once we get back." Cobalt added as he disappeared in a puff of blue smoke.

"I wonder what it is." Nettle thought aloud.

"You're going to have to find out, Miss Nettle." Emerald said as she vanished in a puff of green smoke.

"Shall we?" Scarlett said as she joined hands with Nettle and they disappeared from the ship in a puff of red smoke. Unbeknownst to them, Metal Sonic was watching every move of the battle. His eyes flashed red briefly, prepared for his next encounter.

(When we reached the top of the falls, we see Terra, Ventus, and Aqua defeated)

Me: Terra! Aqua! Ventus! Who did this!?

Ventus: K… K… Kano.

Me: Kano? That's impossible.

Kano: Nothing's impossible when it comes to surprises.

(I look up and see Kano, hale and hearty)

Me: But how!? Beerus destroyed you in Russia!

Kano: The Kano he destroyed was just a doppelganger, made with this.

(Kano reveals the Moby Morpher in his hands)

Me: The Moby Morpher? How'd you get that?

Kano: An associate of mine nabbed it for me from an old Temple. He told me about these "Shen Gong Wu" and I wanted to try one for myself. Now I must go and bring these to him. You're welcome to keep these two, though.

(Kano pushes Sofia and Vivian aside. Kano leaves with the Maestro's Mandolin and Moby Morpher)

Vivian: Thanks, but now he has my mandolin!

Me: That's no ordinary mandolin, Viv. It's a Shen Gong Wu.

Sofia: Why didn't you tell us?

Me: Ask Dojo. While Crackle and I waited for you, he called about the mandolin. But there's no time. We need to follow Kano and figure out where he's headed.

Vivian: I'll take Aqua and the others back to the base and tend to them.

Me: Sofia, we better head to the Temple and tell the Monks. You know what to do here, readers. Excelsior!
