"What the hell is this?" I said as I examined a glowing green portal that appeared in front of me. "I have an idea, but you need to know it's one way. You go through, there's no coming back." I heard another voice in my mind speak out.

As I took a look at my house from my back yard, I thought, 'you know that might not be so bad'. "Well, let's grab my bag and be off" I said while looking at the spear I was previously practicing with. I rushed inside grabbed my bag with clothes and ran back to the portal.

"Well... BANZAI!" I yelled as I made no more hesitation and jumped through. Immediately there was nothing, then I felt solid ground. "Well that was fun" I said as I was getting my senses again and stood up choking on some smoke.

'Smoke!' at that thought I readied my spear. Crouching low in a defensive position I waited for my vision to clear. "When the smoke clears, stay ready. If one person approaches let them. More than that is a threat. Treat it as such" the voice in my mind rung out again. 'Thanks Annakah' I replied feeling somewhat better. As that thought passed I heard voices, 'Is that French? Sounds like it. Damn, I'm screwed. I know English, that's it. Well I'll manage, I hope.'

At that point, the smoke finally cleared. People in capes where all around, two stood away from the rest. A balding middle aged with a kind calm face, and a small petite pink haired girl that looked somewhat explosive. The look on her face was not happy, but also seemed to hide some sadness. She looked around, and spotted me. With no changes to be seen in her mood she walked up to me. 'OK one person, should be safe' that's when I
Stood up and lowered my spear, flourishing it and spinning it behind my back, to see if I could get the crowd to react. Boy did they; jumping back and gasps then chatter. 'Hehe, good enough'. I saw the small pinkett stop for a second then looked at me. A smile started pulling at her lips to my happiness. She walked up to me and said something, no idea what, to my growing annoyance and growing fear of communication.

It was at that point she grabbed my face, 'If she's going to do what I think she is, I'll make sure she'll never forget'. I didn't expect she would, but she did, and I kept my promise to myself. She kissed me, but I kissed back. I leaned into it, she jumped a little while I put my hand behind her and leaned into her. She gasped under my lips, then i felt her relax in my arms. Only a few seconds had passed before i pulled away and let her go.

I know she can't understand me but I had to say something, "Your good, didn't expect that" I chuckled as I let her up only
To spot a sizable blush. Then, unimaginable pain. I remember screaming then nothing.
