Hello, everyone. Umm... Nerdie here. It's been about two years since I've touched this account... WOW. I apologize for that. Small note on the side, I may change things a little with Lunea. I admire her as a character and plan on keeping most of her physical appearance but I want to take away the physical oddities that she had and give her a limited amount of elemental (storm) powers. Her background will still contain bullies but like I mention, things may change a little. I do plan on keeping Blizzard as well. He's still keeping his lovable form of shapeshifting but I'm gonna call him a familiar instead. (I've also gotten into DND while I was away.) I will keep this in the same time line as well. Thank you guys so much for sticking with me!
A small chirping noise awakes me, something moving around on my knee. I awake and smile at the little owl sitting on my knee.
"Why, hello there, little one." They chirp, hopping onto my shoulder and pull on my ear. With a twitch of feather, the owl has changed into a cat. "Blizzard, I thought I told you to stay with them and protect them!" He meows and paws at my nose. I sigh, picking the familiar up (one of the new changes) and stretch a little. "Besides, they probably don't want me." I can see the castle glimmer higher up on the mountain. "I'm not needed." He nuzzles me again before his head perks up. I look up to see the sunrise starting to come through the morning clouds. "Let's get you back." I hop down from the tree as he flutters down and lands on my shoulder. "And hope that no one is awake yet."
The cloak wards off most of the cold as we approach the castle again. The doors open without a sound and I find myself in front of Marshmallow, silently looking at me.
"I'm just here to drop something off, Marsh. But we gotta be quiet, okay?" He nods, watching me and sitting by the giant doors. The big guy was like a little toddler, just misunderstood and was willing to help where you needed it. I find the same door that I had run away from last night and put Blizzard down on the ground. "You stay." He pouts, doggie style and I have to cover my eyes to avoid the puppy dog look. "Look, buddy." I sit with him and play around with his ears. "You need to stay here with them while I go figure out how to get us home. We don't belong here." I look over at Kristoff and Anna, sleeping soundly next to each other. I glance around for the platinum blond hair and blue dress but can't find it. "Where in the world is that woman?" I mutter to myself before loud clicking of heels makes me sit up and almost trip over my shoes.
"Where did he go?" And that's my cue to leave! I race down the hallway, jump onto the railing and don't look back until I stop at the feet of Marshmallow.
"I'll see you-" The sound of clicking heels makes me look to the overviewing platform. Elsa leans over the railing, looking a little out of breath before gaining her composure and fixing her hair. The sun starts to come through the windows and hits the dress as it takes my breath away. The blue and white material shifts as she gains her composure and makes it sparkle like a thousand diamonds. "Wow." I mutter, hand on the door.
"Wait, please!" My brain's yelling at me to leave, get out of there, skip town while my body's frozen. I can only think to nod before I shake my head. Why does the gay panic have to happen NOW? Elsa walks down to me, clearing her throat and looks back at the upper rooms.
"Shall we take a walk, Your Majesty?" I offer, surprised at my easy sounding voice. "I think it might be best to clear some things up." She nods, smiling to Marshmallow and then taking my arm as we exit the castle. "I'd like to apologize for what happened last night." I say, finding a clearing in the trees. She stops and watches me as I fiddle with my hands and feel Blizzard land on my shoulder. "I've only really had Blizzard and my brother, Matthew, for all of my life. And I've gotten enemies with my abilities and had hard times with things in the past. And it was unwise for me to intrude on you and your group a couple of days ago." I take a seat next to the trees and find the little owl on my knee, feeding him some food.
"You gave us a bit of a surprise and fright from last night. Let's just say that we haven't exactly figured out certain magics here yet. You're not from Arendelle, are you?" I smile and shake my head as the queen sits down next to me.
"I'm quite afraid that I'm out of my element currently. I'm not exactly from this place or area for that matter. But you have a lovely kingdom and I'd love to see more of this place."
"It really is. But I'm afraid that I'm not the best tour guide here. Anna and Kristoff would be better ones, especially out here." She smiles, feeling Blizzard's feathers and watching the sunrise with me. "Perhaps we should head back."
"Your majesty, I'd like to apologize again for my irrational behavior last night. I had a nightmare and unfortunately the events from yesterday brought up some bad memories for me." She nods.
"I understand. I will be sure to talk to the guards responsible for this when we return to Arendelle." After we both get up, I offer my arm. "Shall we, Queen Elsa?" She smiles a little at the formality, taking my arm as we walk back to the ice castle.
Sven and Olaf are waiting for us outside with Marshmallow, playing with Olaf's arms as we approach the castle.
"Hey guys! Where have you been? Who cares? Hugs!" The small snowman hugs me, making me smile as we walk in. Once up in the upper floors again, I wait outside of the room while Elsa and Blizzard go in. I close my eyes and slip into Blizzard and watch things unfold.
"Annaaa." Kristoff mutters, trying to get his girlfriend up and awake. She groans and rolls over, muttering to herself.
"Go awayyyy." Blizzard flaps his wings and lands on her chest before shifting and pawing at her hand. "Time to sleepppp." She mutters and cuddles Blizzard in his puppy form. After several attempts of Blizzard trying to get out, he starts to howl, making Anna jolt up and almost bonk heads with Kristoff. "WOLVES!" Elsa laughs and it sounds like a chime, making me smile.
"It's just Blizzard, Anna."
"Whatcha doing?" The sound of Olaf's voice snaps me out of the sight seeing and I smile at the chatty snowman.
"Looking at you." He smiles and waves his hand.
"You charmer!" One squeal later and groan of protest, Anna races out of the room past me and slides down the hallway without even a glance at me. I get up, peeking my head in and walking directly over to Kristoff.
"I'm sorry for the head injury." He waves it off and gets up, smiling.
"I've got a thick head so I've taken much worse damage before. Guess you're the one we're giving the grand tour of our kingdom to?"
"How did you..?"
"We only ran into each other a day or two ago. I can put the pieces together."
"I'm hoping that I can mend the troubles I may have caused while being in your kingdom." I look over to Elsa and bow. She smiles.
"I'm sure that the Captain of the Guard will not mind thought he may be a little disgruntle." I put the sword back on and follow the queen and Kristoff out of the castle to an excited Anna and Sven. It's amusing to watch her jump around and blabber about the sights to see until she twirls around and spots me.
"YOU!"
I hope that this is a nice start back to our little story! I do plan on publishing another chapter soon (right after I try to figure out how to publish things again..) and plan on giving you guys and gals some nice cute interaction in the next chapter!
