a/n: to make up for my long absence, here's another chapter for today ^-^ 2,500+ words so it's a long one!

Pressed lips and strained breathing continued to flood her mind. Extravagant kisses pressed against burning skin fueled a bright tone threatening to remain prominently.

Softly muttering, Levy shifted slightly in the small space currently allowed to her. A heavy barrier stopped her from moving further in her once large bed.

Eyes slowly opening, she found an unfamiliar hint of darkness. A strange obsidian mark appeared for a brief moment as her eyes wished to keep rest.

"Hmm?" Levy muttered in her sleep to the colorless blob as it began to shift. Taking to awake, she shook her head shaking the sleep out of her eyes.

A solid figure slowly broke down into clean straight strands. Tussled locks flung around covering a groaning face to her spurring reaction.

A heavy arm she laid upon as she had shifted onto a warm bicep.

A soft smile began to grace her face to his solid presence. 'Gajeel…' She softly muttered before happily accepting her resting position with eyes fluttering back down. An easier sense breezed between her as she caught him remaining in her bed.

The puckering of her lips tingling slowly rose her eyes once more. Slowly she gave a creek to one of her eyes catching him in his sight once more. Making sure that her eyes were not playing a cruel joke on her, she would check as many times as possible. Finally, sure of it, a light smile committed to a longer nap by his side.

Yet almost as quickly as she settled back in, an alert awoke.

-ring ring-

"Huh…" Groaning softly, the sound awoke Gajeel out of his comfortable slumber.

Slowly coming to, he shook awake attempting to shift in the surprisingly small area. The weight applied holding down his bicep nudged him back into his place. It wasn't heavy but unexpected.

A hint of azure peaked through a wild bushel. An extra beat to his heart increased as he took a heavy gulp. She tossed in her sleep showing off her pristine face. A morning glow erupted upon the apples of her cheeks adding a stimulus of color. A heavy grin began to grow upon his face as it was she on him.

The sound wishing for his attention was distant memory to her presence. The soft curling of her lip was the only thing that he wanted to focus on.

Unfortunately, the sound blared once more finally snapping him out of his bright pixie version.

"Fuck." He fumbled around tapping the area around him with his free arm. An attempt to not jar her body too much in sleep was taken as he searched for the constantly ringing device.

"Mhm…" Levy began to mutter to the shaking erupting beneath her head.

Gajeel stressed for a moment for failing to keep her at bay. The loud sound continued as preventing her from waking was not possible. "Hold on." Slowly taking her along while he stretched to reach his phone, he jarred her fully awake.

Capturing his phone laying on the bedside, it finally quit blaring. A lone message appeared asking for his presence at Fairy Tail in its place.

Levy slyly opened her eyes reading the message for herself. He was being dragged away once more much to her dismay.

He looked over capturing her spying eyes knowing she had read the request herself.

Raising a studded brow to capturing her in the act, she shied away. A slight squee she released before hiding her face beneath the hidden safety of printed sheets.

An attempt of hiding she held onto for a drawn-out breath. Being caught raised her thumping heart beat furthering the movement to her jittery hands. A fleeting second passed before Levy braved pulling her head out back into view. Peaking up from warm comfort, she had found Gajeel on his phone.

Gajeel furrowed his studded brows to the dead dial tone only there to answer. A voice on the other line which he sought was now refusing to answer.

"I-Is something wrong?" Levy peeped up in an attempt to figure out the sour expression covering his face.

A second delay occurred as he focused solely upon his phone. The blank lit up screen kissed light onto his face as he continued to observe without a word.

Her soft pressing eyes caught in his peripheral attention shifting his worried expression.

"Huh?" His face peeked to her initial questioning before he could give a solid answer. "They just need me back at work. There's a meeting soon, I guess." No lie was needed to conjure up as his presence was truly requested. A deep pit of desire to remain in bed brought a heavy sigh.

Without hesitation, Levy spoke up. "Do you want me to go with you?" She immediately offered her assistance.

She began to shift in bed to ready herself to follow behind. Sitting up straight, her upper body exposed for a brief moment. As she noted his eyes briefly wander, she quickly grabbed and held the printed sheets to cover her bosom. Although he had more than a view the night before, she still covered.

Flushed cheeks, Gajeel turned away from the woman covering her modesty as she attempted to join along.

He scratched the back of his head, "Nah it's fine, Juvia has this one. She should be at work right now, she better be." He mumbled as he worked quickly to make his exit, he slid slightly into a new view.

Quick hands tugged his loose jeans up fastening around his thick waist. A look around for a frantically tossed shirt before slipping on the covering fabric.

"Yer comin' in today right?" Gajeel peeked behind his shoulder finding her side eyes.

Levy lifted her head sounding off to the question, "O-Oh yes."

His eyes wandered down for a brief moment finding her jittery hands. A heavy grip to the covering sheets she took in order to conceal herself. His quick glance down rushed back up after giving her a quick flush of color.

Gajeel raised his head rapidly focusing on anything but her chest. The lone speckles on the wall had never appeared more interesting.

"J-Just come in when yah want, no rush." A cough to clear his throat he let out to allow her a flustered release.

Levy nodded to the sound of his phone sounding off once more vying for his attention.

"Fuck." With some urgency, Gajeel now needed to leave the comfort of her room. "I'll see yah later." He reached for the knob harshly turning in order to make his exit.

"B-Bye…" Levy raised her hand sloppily to give him away. She paused mid-way dropping her hand as he had not seen it in his haste.

A heavy slam to the door conjured up a held in sigh.

'What now…' A fleeting question she rhetorically asked to herself as she stared at the closed door.

She pushed her fallen locks to behind her ear clearing her vision. A light moment she gave to her body in an attempt to get herself out of bed. Although given as much time as she wished, she would be punctually on time.

"Huh?" She paused to the door shaking open once more. Clinging to the sheets once more, she watched as Gajeel rushed back in.

No words were spoken as he tucked his hand beneath her chin. Raising her head, he took one final kiss for the road.

"Fuck." Gajeel turned the sharp corner as he rushed into Fairy Tail.

A few minutes had passed from the scheduled hour earlier demanded in an urgently sent text. Heavy breaths he took as he scoured the open lobby for the body waiting for his. Yet the woman was nowhere to be found.

"Oi Mira, wait." He paused the woman carrying on her own day.

"Oh, good morning Gajeel." Mira warmly welcomed the disheveled man. A few lifted strands along with a peek of a lifted shirt, a story must have been behind.

"Where's the meeting at?" Gajeel huffed as he wanted quick answers and not her observant look.

Mira cocked her head slightly to the left. "I didn't see a meeting on the roster, maybe I missed it…" Genuinely puzzled, she dropped her paper work to pull out her pocket calendar.

"Eh? what do yah mean? You've been textin' me, now stop and tell me where." Gajeel searched through his phone double-checking that he was barking at the right person. Anger lacing her voice as he had left Levy so frantically, it had to be for a solid reason.

Mira raised her head, "Really? I haven't seen my phone for the past few hours actually now that you say." She tapped around her pockets finding no sign of her device.

He paused, "I don't have to think 'bout this now." The flurry of information brought upon a heavy headache. He raked his hand through his long locks pushing them out of his face.

As his hair moved to the side, Mira caught a new eyeful. "Oh!" the purple discoloration caught her attention. The mysterious texts were a long-lost thought. "How was your night?" She gingerly questioned before he could take his leave.

"Eh?" A studded brow he rose to her inquiry. His hand began to drop taking a sloppy brush against his exposed neck. A pulsing sensitivity jerked his hand back from love filled marks.

The smile upon Mira's face blossomed with curiosity as to what he could have gotten himself into – specifically with whom.

His lip rose snarling at the noisy woman. "None of yer business." Sliding thick locks over to cover once more, he took to stomping up-stairs.

"Call me if you need something." Despite his frown, Mira gave a cheeky smile. A light wave she gave as he walked away.

Heavy strides brought him into his lone office. Slamming the door shut, he sealed himself off to the outside world.

He dropped himself into the thick leather chair stretching the hide in one weight. As the fabric gave way, he gave a deep sigh expelling the built-up air. He kicked up his feet splintering some wood beneath his thick heel.

A rush of emotions surged through heavy breaths.

"Fuck." Large palms he used to momentarily cover his face before raking through thick locks.

Bursting images of having Levy beneath him unclothed refused to leave. Reeling memories of their love created jolted a not so sweet outcome.

He gulped deeply suddenly struggling with what could be the results. Their patched together relationship hung before his eyes.

"Ah!" Heavy frustration loomed as he shook his head. Dropping his feet upon the ground he sat upright as he searched for the distraction.

Hands slapped upon his desk, he found his schedule.

Although he wanted a moment, her name was predominately as she was needed in an hours' time.

"Fuck." He turned his chair away, he took for looking out of the window for a sign.

"Good afternoon Levy." Mira chirped to the azure haired woman making her scheduled hour at work.

In deep contrast to Gajeel, Levy appeared pristinely polished. Her skirt and shirt perfectly ironed out hugging just the right curves. Lifted slightly with a low heel, she stood at a flirty stance. Hair loosely held in a bun with one evidently missing element.

Her signature hair band tired around her neck appearing more of a stuartist.

The deep gulp to Mira's sudden information hungry eyes, Levy shifted the tight fabric covering her neck. "M-Mira?"

"So, what were you up to last night?" The platinum blonde sauntered over to circle the blunette. Finding it much easier to inspect the petite woman, she pulled aside one part of the white fabric.

Taken aback from clear skin, she let out a disappointed sigh and an apology.

"Please don't worry about it." Levy raised her hands as a deep sense of relief brushed over. A heavy bead of sweat ran down her forehead to barley skidding by.

'Thanks for focusing on only one area, Gajeel.'

"I wonder who it was then?" Mira placed a questioning finger upon her lips while muttering to herself.

"Did you say something?" Levy piqued to her low words.

"O-Oh no it was nothing." The blonde put away her personal questioning as not to stir up work relationships. "I'll let Juvia know that you're here." Her chipper smile shifted onto work and away from frivolous chatter for the moment.

Blaring alarm rang for the second time sounding off for the man's attention. Gajeel grumbled reaching to silence the noise. A craving of a few more minutes in order to recover from the night. A flip over to his phone revealed a waited for hour.

"Levy…fuck…" Only she could jolt him out of his seat. Staggering to his sleep numbed legs, he sought a quick exit.

"Please be there." Gajeel rushed down the hallway following the path to the main lobby. Crystal glimpses came into sight as the second floor ended with the descending stairs before him. He paused, gripping the hand railing in order to peer out at a not so safe distance.

A sea of heads, blonde and brunette scattered around their destinations, yet no unique color showed. Although he gave her all the time that she wished, he knew that she would be there. On time or a no show forever, it could only be one of two options.

He crumbled his fists balling in anger towards himself. He ground his teeth breathing in with a sharp hiss. A string of profanities he blared out conjuring confused expressions from passerby's.

Without question, they allowed Gajeel to go on and rant by himself finding it best not to dabble in his affairs.

"Levy…"

His head sprung up to the desired name being faintly picked up.

She picked herself up from his blind spot walking into his view. Just like that, his worry filled heart returned to a normal beat in relief.

His feet began by themselves to make his way downstairs before being halted by the second blunette. Juvia stepped forward as she called finding her friend in a closer approach.

"I'll just get my bag and I'll be right there!" Levy hummed as she was ready to get on with her day. She rushed over to her once occupied seating area to pick up her items.

Through the buzzing noise filling the room, she focused on one.

Heavy footsteps paused all of a sudden inching her head upwards. Crimson eyes caught her attention as she locked eyes with Gajeel. A small smile began to grow automatically to his presence.

As he gave a similar greeting, Levy's line of focus enlarged to catch his bad case of bed head. A soft giggle the blunette began to attempt to stiffen behind a light hand.

"Huh?" His rare smile began to drop her new expression.

"Fuck." His hand slapped upon the top of his head flattening out messy locks in haste.

"Oh, Gajeel!" Juvia chirped as she unknowingly interrupted the soft moment. "We're going to get lunch later, please join us."

With Levy's nod, he accepted without a second thought. "Yeah, just tell me when."
